Fast & Furious 7 - Tyrese Gibson Pays Emotional Tribute to Paul Walker as Film Wraps

Tyrese Gibson has paid another tribute to his late co-star and friend Paul Walker as their upcoming film, Fast & Furious 7, wrapped production.

The actor posted the picture above on Instagram of himself with director James Wan and Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb - the two brothers had stood in to finish some of the action scenes and other parts of the film that were not completed before Paul Walker's tragic death last November.

He also posted another one of him and Paul Walker's look-alike brother, Cody Walker.

Tyler Perry Wins 'What Would Jesus Do' Trademark From Woman Who Says He Stole It From Her

Tyler Perry has reportedly won the patent to use "What would Jesus do?" in in a suit filed by another applicant who wanted to patent the popular phrase.

Reality star Kimberly "Poprah" Kearney had registered the trademark in 2008, several months before Perry did. Kearney had it trademarked to use as the title for a reality show, and claims she was developing a reality series with the title, but has got no backers.

According to THR, she says she had submitted the idea to Tyler Perry Studios in 2007 for backing, and alleges that Perry and his lawyers essentially stole the phrase from her but Tyler Perry Studios challenged her claim due to lack of use, and registered theirs later the same year.

Ruling on the case, judges favored Tyler Perry's application, transferring the trademark from Kearney to Perry.

Kearny was not happy about the outcome of her suit, tweeting;

"Thanks every1 who has reached out bout the board letting @tylerperry steal my trademark 4 What Would Jesus Do-but its not over-God got this!"

With the ruling, Perry is now granted the copyright by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office to use the phrase in the category of "entertainment services," with the idea of producing "live concerts, a TV program and motion pictures" in relation to the trademark.

Karrueche Tears Up As She Talks About Three Way Romance With Chris Brown and Rihanna

Karrueche Tran, the on--then-off girlfriend of Chris Brown has opened up about battling Rihanna and her millions of online fans any time she's with Chris Brown. 

She discussed the ups and downs of their relationship during an interview on Just Keke, hosted by Keke Palmer, saying;

"... my boyfriend is a celebrity whose ex-girlfriend is even bigger… so, not only am I fighting a battle with her, I'm fighting a battle with her 14 million fans or however else. Imagine how that feels for me when I gotta get on Twitter and I gotta  see a whole bunch of stuff. They make up all kinds of crazy stuff and it's like they know nothing about me."

When Keke asked her has been the hardest thing to deal with, Karrueche begins to tear up as she replies;

"I guess I would say the heartbreak, because it was a real situation for me"

Three-year-old Girl Who 'Woke' at Her Funeral Has Been Declared Dead Again

A three-year-old girl in the Philippines woke during preparations for her funeral but has now been declared dead, according to new reports. A cellphone caught the moment the young girl started breathing again at a church in Aurora in the Philippines where her funeral was taking place.

The little girl was originally declared dead on Friday morning after suffering a fever in hospital. Her family were preparing for her burial on Saturday afternoon when a neighbour of the girl's parents saw
the girl move her head. After being lifted out of the coffin she was given water and taken to the hospital.  It was later found that the girl was in a state of coma, not dead.

But sadly, reports now suggest the girl did not survive and has been declared dead finally. A doctor assessed her again today and found no signs of life.

The Church of England Approves Women as Bishops at the General Synod

The Church of England's national assembly, known as the General Synod, has approved the historic measure to allow women to enter its top ranks as bishops!

The Church voted this decision at its meeting in York today, according to UK media.

The measure had the support of Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and Prime Minister David Cameron.

The vote comes two years after similar legislation failed to reach a two-thirds majority among the General Synod's lay members, despite approval from bishops and clergy.


The Church of England is part of the Anglican Communion, which has the largest Christian denomination in Britain and a presence in more than 160 countries.

Jamaican-born Chaplain Rose Hudson-Wilkin is tipped to become the Church of England's first female bishop. She had said of the church's deliberation to give women the opportunity to be bishops;

"It will be a big deal. This has been on the agenda of the Church since the 1920s, from the time of the suffragettes when women were saying actually, we're human beings, we don't want to be patted on the head and told: 'There dear, you'll be alright doing the flowers or making the cups of tea'. "We have gifts and skills and abilities and we want what we have to be placed on the table as well."

According to the Guardian UK, the Church of England has finally agreed that women may become bishops next year, breaking with nearly 2,000 years of tradition and ending 20 years of bitter compromises since women were allowed to become priests in 1994.

Applause in the public gallery greeted the overwhelming vote in favour of the measure. Only 45 lay members of the synod voted against it and 152 in favour. The majorities among bishops and clergy were even greater.

The synod had been threatened with parliamentary action if the measure had failed, and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, had prepared contingency plans to dissolve it and call fresh elections if the vote had gone the wrong way.

But the crisis was averted by a change of mind, and vote, among lay members. A previous attempt in 2012 failed when 74 lay members voted against, preventing the required two-thirds majority among the laity.

The vote means the first woman might become a suffragan (assistant) bishop early next year and her appointment could be announced before the end of 2014.

"Weird Al" Yankovic made his musical fame from spoofing other popular musicians, songs and their videos. The comic singer is releasing a new album called Mandatory Fun this week, and has just premiered the first video off it, a parody of Pharrell Williams Happy, but this one is called "Tacky". 

The song and video indicts "Happy" and its 24-hour-dancing video as an embodiment of almost every annoying trend in today's pop-culture. Some of the lines read;
I Instagram every meal I've ever had/
I would live-Tweet a funeral /
Take selfies with the deceased.

Lance Gross Engaged and Expecting First Child With Rebecca Jefferson

Lance Gross, popped the question to his girlfriend Rebecca Jefferson at the end of last year in Mexico. Now, the couple are expecting their first child. Lance is the hot chocalate actor in Tyler Perry Tempatation, Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.

According to reports, Rebecca is visibly pregnant and that she conveniently crops her baby bump out of all of her photos on social media.

A Hip Hollywood report said that they were spotted celebrating Gross' birthday at Benihana last week, with Jefferson rocking a noticeable bump.


Another reader commented that they spotted Rebecca over the weekend at a local LA nail salon where she says, She was adorable. It was a day after the 4th of July and you could totally see her belly."

Selena Gomez recently made headlines when new photographs of her hit magazines and blogs, with speculation that has had a boob enlargement.

Many of her fans were not happy about it, and several wrote comments and posted social media about their disappointment with the young singer. One of the critics went as far as wishing death by cancer on Selena.

In a very mature and thoughtful reply, 21 year old Selena let the young lady, whose account has now been deactivated, know that cancer was no joking matter, and nothing to curse others with since it can happen to anyone.

'Honestly, I don't speak up much because it's simply always taken out of context. But I don't take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything."

'The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman. I have gone through that battle with fans and family members.You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart. Man Accuses The Redeemed Church in UK Of Causing The Breakdown of His Marriage

Ayadi Moniaye, a Nigerian man based in Manchester UK, claims the Redeemed Christian Church of God's "Jubilee Parish", breaks up marriages so as to obtain permanent stays for female members, but in the process they tarnish the image of Nigerian husbands abroad.

He is accusing the church of brainwashing his Nigerian wife, and teaching her how to use the UK legal system to obtain permanent residence through him whe they broke up.

When they divorced in 2009, she also got their children, and the house and property they owned together. Since then, Ayadi said, she and the church have ganged up on him and are insinuating that he is insane.

Ayadi Moniaye is also claiming that the Redeemed Church's hierarchy in Nigeria are ignoring him after he has sent official letter to them to look into the case.


According to reports, Ayadi Moniaye and his wife got married in 2000 and their separation in 2009 was caused by years of domestic violence. They have three children together.

Ayadi told his story to Punch which tried to verify his claims. He said;

"Nigerian women in the UK were brainwashed by the group to abuse their husbands so they can claim their husbands' property and exploit the UK immigration policy to their advantage.

"I challenged the church, telling the coordinators of the programme that the Bible did not support such practice. Unknown to me, my wife was part of it."

"On one of such occasions, she injured me. She later called the police to drive me out of the house. When the police got to our home, they met the children around me, consoling me, and because of what they saw, they could not drive me out of the house.

"After series of such unprovoked attacks, my wife admitted that she was maltreating me to get me out of the house."

"I am deeply concerned about the way women are portraying the image of this country to the outside world. And it is unfortunate that the church would be used as a platform for this. My concern is how we can correct this impression."

An elder in the community, however claims that it was Ayadi that had beaten his wife several times. Yet Ayadi provided a document by one Mama 'Toro, an elder in the community, dated February 2011, read that Moniaye had been beaten several times by his wife.

On the alleged accusation by his wife that he was mentally unstable, Moniaya provided a document dated June, 2010 and issued by one Dr R.A. Jones of Manchester Mental Health that read in part,

"As far as I am aware, our Team Manager, Emma Hinchcliff, has also contacted the Children and Families Social Services to outline our thoughts that there is no evidence of you suffering with a major mental illness at present."

The police in Manchester, has already investigated the case, after Moniaye reported to them. They sent their feedback to him saying,

"Inspector O'Reilly followed up the allegations you made, and on one occasion he attended the church on Hyde Road to verify your story. He spoke to the pastor, who told him that they found you to be intractable and not only did they not confirm your account, they stated that they were concerned for you and prayed for you."

An official at the Jubilee parish told Punch reporters that the pastor of the church will not respond to the allegations.

Ayadi Moniaye said all efforts to get the matter to the attention of the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had been rebuffed by protocol officers. However, when reporters spoke to the Chief Legal Officer, Pastor Ayodele Oladeji, he said,

"Yes, a letter has been received at our office here, written by Moniaye, requesting to see Daddy G.O., and we are treating it. I want to assure you that even those who write to Daddy G.O. on ordinary piece of paper receive attention. We will investigate this and know what happened.

"We have all the documents which Moniaye has submitted to us. He will get a redress of his case with a little patience. We ourselves could feel his pulse with facts on the documents. But you know for now it is still one sided until we get the other side (from the UK church)."

How To Make Your Long-distance Relationship Work Out For Good

Long-distance relationships do come with challenges, but if you've found the right person, it's worth it! Here's how to keep your sanity and make it work.

Sara, from Toronto, and Paul, from Vancouver, met at the destination wedding of mutual friends. They had no idea they'd be coming away with their own spark and, after keeping in touch for two months, a new relationship separated by thousands of kilometres and three time zones. Neither had been in a long-distance relationship before, but they made it work for eight months before Sara decided to move to Vancouver.

"Our relationship is no different than a same-city (or province) relationship. We still need to be communicating and we still need to have the same goals and outlook on life," says Sara.

Regular communication
You may not be in each other's day-to-day lives physically, but keeping in regular contact should be important. Don't go for days without at least an email, text or phone call. There are so many ways to say "I'm thinking about you" to your sweetheart – even if you're busy.

When your honey is in a different time zone, you may need to be more proactive about planning. Sara and Paul often scheduled phone calls into their days.

Use technology to your benefit
Take advantage of texting (and maybe even sexting!) to keep in touch on the fly between phone calls or Skype dates.

You can also use technology to connect – and see your special someone's handsome face – for longer periods of time. Sara and Paul sometimes turned on Skype and left it running for hours on weekends while they did laundry, cooked or ate supper. Being on Skype "made it seem like we were 'physically' closer and a bigger part of each other's weekend," says Sara.

Visit as often as you can
"Frequent visits and keeping up momentum is an integral part of making a long-distance relationship work," says Andrea Syrtash, a dating and relationship expert and the co-author of It's Okay to Sleep with Him on the First Date: And Every Other Rule of Dating Debunked (Harlequin, 2013). "Otherwise, it may be easy to forget you're in a relationship!"

Sara and Paul were able to schedule visits around long weekends and travel for work. The longest they went without seeing one another was about six weeks.

Have something to look forward to
It's important to plan visits you can look forward to, says Syrtash. Even if you don't have a visit coming up immediately, just having something booked is positive and feels much better than looking ahead to an abyss where you don't know when you'll see each other next. If you're on opposite sides of the world, it may be longer between visits, but you can still count down together to the next major holiday or meet-up.

Maybe you have a gift to send your partner in the mail as a surprise and you can't wait to see his face. Remember, small gestures are also worth looking forward to.

Be honest
Honesty is key in any relationship, whether near or far, but Sara says it was particularly important for her and Paul to be up front with each other.

"We agreed to be completely honest with one another from the get-go and not beat around the bush if there were issues or second thoughts. It helped to make me confident that if there was a problem we could address it right away and move on with things," she says.

Dating long distance can be difficult – don't be afraid to express your frustrations with it to your partner when you need to.

Make time for your partner
Sara says she and Paul had an "unspoken rule" about picking up the phone if the other one called, even if they were out with friends. They didn't necessarily chat for long, but they were able to catch up and connect.

"I really liked this... It didn't take a lot of effort, but still made me feel like I was a priority and in the loop with what was happening in Vancouver," says Sara.

You don't always have to "go big"
"Remember to find normal, low-key hang time when you're together," says Syrtash. "Long-distance couples have a tendency to stay cooped up at home or play tourist and plan over-the-top dates for their visiting mate, but it's just as important for people in this relationship to see each other in the 'real world.'"

It's fine to stay home and do laundry or catch up on work emails. Putting too much pressure on each visit can be stressful and unrealistic.

Finally, keep the romance in your long distance relationship alive (especially if it's a new one) with sexy phone conversations.

Malala Marks Her 17th Birthday With Escaped Chibok Girls and Parents [Photos]

Malala Yousafzai, who is currently visiting Nigeria, has pledged yesterday to help free the 219 schoolgirls being held by Boko Haram since April 15. 

Malala met with about 15 parents and five of the 57 girls who escaped from the Boko Haram custody. Some of the parents broke down in tears as Malala spoke at a hotel.

"I can see those girls as my sisters … and I'm going to speak up for them until they are released."

Malala's 17th birthday is today and she cut a cake with some of her guests to cheer things up. She is also scheduled to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan today.

Malala further told the parents and escaped girls;

"I'm going to participate actively in the 'bring back our girls' campaign to make sure that they return safely and they continue their education."

"I can feel … the circumstances under which you are suffering. It's quite difficult for a parent to know that his daughter is in great danger. My birthday wish this year is bring back our girls now and alive."

"My request to the government is that they should take you serious. They should definitely take you serious. If you don't focus on the future generation it means you are destroying your country. Think about these girls."

19-Year-Old Ex-Marine Charged in The Murder of Young Single Mom After She Disappered in June

A 19-year-old ex-marine has been arrested and charged with murdering a young mother from New York, whose body was discovered dumped in a wooded area near her home one week after her disappearance last month.

Dante Taylor was arrested in Florida and faces second-degree murder charged for reportedly killing Sarah Goode, 21, who was a single mom with a 4-year-old daughter named Jocelyn.

And, adding yet another horrible level of crazy to this story, Taylor was arrested because cops suspect he committed a different heinous crime.



The teen was initially apprehended because there was a warrant out for his arrest for allegedly attempting to rape a woman in Long Island, N.Y. It's unclear how police were then able to link Taylor to the mom's murder.


Goode was last seen at about 1 a.m. on June 7 at a friend's house. After an extensive search that included more than 40 family members and friends, the medical technician's car was found on June 12 about a mile from her home. Goode's body was uncovered in the woods.

There isn't a whole lot of info out there yet about what motivated the teen to possibly commit homicide, but one of Goode's friends has suggested the two were romantically involved at some point.

6-Year-Old Boy Who Died Saving His Sister From Rapist Gets Justice as Killer Faces Life in Prison

A man who killed a 6-year-old boy who was trying to stop him from raping his 12-year-old sister has been found guilty and faces life in prison. 

Rivera, who may have been high on a drug called "wet," broke into a Camden, New Jersey home in 2012 and attacked 12-year-old Amber Andujar as she slept on the family couch.

Amber, her two sisters, one of them 14, and 6-year-old Dominick were home alone in their house as their mother recovered from surgery in the hospital.

Rivera, who was a neighbor and had played with the kids in the past, broke into the home and attacked Amber. Hearing her screams, little Dominick ran out and tried to defend his sister.


Dominick began fighting off the much larger Rivera, who was armed with a knife. Rivera stabbed the boy and slashed his throat. He also stabbed and slashed Amber. But because of Dominick's incredibly brave actions, Amber was able to escape the house and run to a neighbor for help. Tragically, however, Dominick died of his wounds.

Amber, who is now 13 and has a permanent scar across her neck, testified against her rapist. Police say it was her testimony that helped put Rivera away.


Rivera, who is also facing charges of molesting a 2-year-old in the neighborhood, has not been sentenced yet and the prosecutor says she is "absolutely" going to seek life in prison.

"It was a hideous, terrible and unimaginable crime that's even hard to understand. I think the defendant took one child's life and another child's innocence and we will absolutely be asking for life at sentencing."

This type of criminals make one think the death penalty is a good option to keep around.
