President Jonathan congratulates Fayose

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan heartily congratulates the Governor-Elect of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on his overwhelming victory in Saturday's governorship election in the state.

President Jonathan also commends the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Security Services and the good people of Ekiti State for the successful and peaceful conduct of the elections in keeping with the present administration's avowed commitment to ensuring that elections in all parts of Nigeria are progressively freer, fairer and more credible.

As Mr. Fayose readies himself to assume office in fulfillment of the clearly expressed wish of his people, President Jonathan urges him to be humble and magnanimous in victory and commit himself to forming an administration that will work for the advancement of the interests of all Ekiti people irrespective of their political affiliations or loyalties.

President Jonathan calls on Mr. Fayose to regard his second chance to serve as Governor of Ekiti State as a sacred mandate from God Almighty and his people which he must discharge with immense dedication, wisdom and vigour to achieve a much more rapid pace of socio-economic development in Ekiti State for the benefit of its people who resoundingly reaffirmed their trust in his leadership by voting overwhelmingly for his election yesterday.

The President assures Mr. Fayose that the Federal Government will give all necessary support and assistance to his incoming administration and cooperate fully with him in furtherance of the present administration's objective of significantly improving the living conditions of Nigerians in all parts of the country.

He wishes Mr. Fayose continued good health and a very successful second tenure as governor of Ekiti State.

Barely eight months since they parted ways, Nigerian artiste Timaya and former label mate, Patoranking were spotted together on June, 21st, in Portharcout hanging out.

Patoranking, 24, hooked up with Timaya in 2012 and is believed to have signed with Dem Mama Records. He also began working with the label's manager Prince Oluzor.

In mid 2013, Dem Mama Records released Patoranking's official debut single titled 'Alubarika' and shortly dropped a video for it in August. It is however unclear who has been funding Patoranking's project. 'Alubarika' has been quite successful in Nigeria and Malaysia.

Patoranking who acquired a 2014 Range Rover SUV and moved to an apartment at the Metro Garden in Lekki, all courtesy his new label, FOSTON MUSIK, has been doing well after the release of his wave making track "galieo ft Tiwa Savage."

With the hang out, the duo have been able to put a stop to speulations that they were not in good terms with each other

No doubt, Nigeria is one of the most popular countries in Africa with Lagos state being the Center of excellence, residence for Nollywood and very many celebrities, socialites not to forget the groupies, side kicks, hustlers, video-vixens etc :)

Just like people go in search of their dreams and talents in New york, people come to Lagos to make it! anyhow possible; talent or no talent. Its not like they are available jobs to sink the inflow of people coming to Lagos or like most of the Lagos immigrants are talented or qualified enough for white collar jobs. In Lagos state you can create your own white collar job out of anything.

Its only Lagos you will see a lady dressed from head-to-toe cooperate and she goes 'oh i'm a personal shopper, i help the A-listers shop and organize their closet) -in a combination of British and American accent. lol.

Anyway if you are planning on making it in Lagos, let me give you some tips girls on how to fit in. For the guys read this tips, cram them well so when next you see a girl in Lagos like this run for your dear life hahaahaha

1. LOOKS: You cant be striving to be a Lagos big girl and look tacky and all that. you must dress well...wear designers only. Louis Vuitton, Prada, Vivienne Westwood, christian louboutin, mango should be the cheapest.

They are not many dark girls left in Lagos, charcoal black is an abomination. Only fair, fresh girls. If you are black better visit all those 'iya's' that help tone your skin. In no time you will be as white as snow. :) or if you don't want to compete with snow white just be chocolate fair (a new color i heard).

Your extensions should not be short. short hair is so last two years in Lagos from 20inch till the longest they make. virgin hair or probably all those new names they have Mongolian, Cambodian bleached with closure. The only time you are caught with short hair, it should be 'funmi hair'. (wink wink).

2. GADGETS: Very important, you cant have one phone. You must have at least 2 or 3, preferably 3. One blackberry porsche, Q-10 or Z-10 for pinging, Lagos girls are never idle they always ping. One i-phone 5 for instagram and one Galaxy note as back up phone or Sony Xperia-Z.

3. MAKE UP: Make up, cannot be under emphasized in Lagos because that is the major trade-mark. Bright colored lips like pink and red or orange should be used only. So when you take your instagram pictures and pout (duck face) of course it will show. Don't forget to arch your brows, if you are not that perfect get a 'nike sign' turn it upside down and practice.

4. HOUSE: Also where you reside is of utmost importance mainland (hmm dat one nor join) except you have a bad-ass car and mansion. Lagos Island is the place, even if its a studio apartment as far as you and your clothes can sleep every night no problem. Also, because they are pricy you can beg like 4 or 5 of your friends to split the cost of the house with you.

5. ACCESSORIES: Lagos girls like their 'candies' 'eyecandy', 'arm candy' just buy plenty hand, and toe rings and wear all at once. buy statement jewelries or better still big gold chain and wear on your neck always, like 2. Then of course own a Michael kors watch, this is a must have its about $250 dollars, dont go for a fake because most people have their receipt in their bags. And if you are planning on lieing that you forgot yours when asked, it has a serial number under. (LOL)

6. JOB; You cant be in Lagos and not have a job, so go get one. If you are really pretty, tall and hot. Buy MBGN or MISS NIGERIA form and apply. If that doesn't work, go into modelling or better still become a video-vixen. Or you can save up and be your own boss, go into make-up or own a boutique and join the other 1million girls in Lagos. Free-lance! you don't need a studio oh, thats for the real professionals, from you studio apartment do your own. Or better still go and learn how to sew clothes, so you can open your own line of 'HAWT COUTURE' works for everyone. Or, if you have a very polished fake accent from watching Tv (like me) go and be a tv or radio presenter. Ultimatelly the jackpot is Nollywood go and start acting, rapping or singing.

D'ont forget to go for all the shows, red carpet events and make sure you get featured, here on bella naija or any top blogs in the country. Better still buy complete fashion magazine or Thisday magazine every Sunday and check.

So i know you all know i'm not lying, this a the qualities of the 'barbies in Lagos'.

'My Husband Is Too Strict For My Liking' -Dayo Adeneye’s Wife Reveals!

Gorgeous wife of popular Co-owner of Prime Time Entertainment, Dayo 'D-One' Adeneye, Caroline Adeneye who met her hubby many years ago when she went house searching after she left school and landed in the compound of her landlord who later turned out to be her father-in-law, Pa Samuel Ayodele Adeneye, has relished her love life since her marriage to Dayo and the reasons their marriage is intact.

According to Caroline, Dayo her husband pushes and aspires her towards success, as he sees no wrong with his wife been richer or wealthier than him, but rather sees it as a blessing, which is one of the many reasons she loves him the most for. Also, the fact that he doesn't like her been idle and gives her room to take care of her needs, shares her business and successes with her, encourages her and gives her room to grow, which she says is still found wanting amongst most Nigerians in this dispensation.

Furthermore, she went on to add that D-One is too strict for her liking which most people don't know about him. For her, her hubby is firm which makes it quite difficult for him to change his mind whenever he has made up his mind on something. As well as very calculative and doesn't react quickly, but at the end, the result of what he believes in starts to show and there is the need to appreciate his stance, which he also impacts on the children.

Liked by her father-in-law for her good manners and aware she would make a good wife to one of his sons, where in decided to woo her for Adeneye, Caroline claims she is married to Dayo Adeneye and not 'D-One', for D-One stops at the gate , when he is home, he is Dayo Adeneye.

They go through what every couple go through in marriage, they have had their arguments and make peace, and so do not think there is anything different, as she doesn't seem threatened with the whole lots of ladies who wants her husband.

In a recent interview with Spice, the drunk in love couple, talked about the gains of their three-year-old marriage and yes, their LOVE story!

How long have you been married?

Bimbo: We have been married for three years and June 16 was our anniversary.

Were you introduced to each other?

Sunkanmi: We met many years ago. We were still youngsters when our paths first crossed. We were still in secondary school and attended the same after-school classes. We lost contact after a while because she relocated abroad to further her education. We met again via social media and we took it off from there.

Is that to say you have always had your eyes on her?

Sunkanmi: Of course I did. I liked her then but time and chance did not permit us to date.

Bimbo: We met again on hi5 and I was not certain if it was the same Sunkanmi Omobolanle I used to know. I confirmed when Muyiwa Ademola and some of his colleagues came over to Dublin for a programme. I asked for his number and I was obliged.

What was the attraction?

Bimbo: Without sounding boastful, my husband is cute. Beyond the looks, he has a very good heart which endeared him to me. Even though I was young when we started dating and I did not know we were going to get married, I kept the hope alive.

Sunkanmi: Till date, I can't tell what got me attracted to her. All I know is that I am very comfortable around her and also she has a hairline just like my mother. Since my mother is dead, that is always a big reminder.

How long was your courtship?

Sunkanmi: We dated for about seven years and it was a beautiful time. Many people would consider it long but it afforded us the opportunity to know each other well. I proposed to her about two years before we had the marriage ceremony.

How did you propose?

Sunkanmi: I just told her I wanted to get married to her. I believe that if God is involved in something, you will not go through any hassles. We were two young adults who loved each other. Thank God we are together now and we are happy. Since we got married, our feelings for each other have not changed. Bimbo is not just my wife; she is also my best friend. She knows a lot about me, even things my supposed close friends do not know. I confide in her. If you put all these together, I don't think I could have been married to a better woman.

How convenient was it getting married to someone who is in the make-believe industry?

Bimbo: I don't and have never had a problem with it. From the initial, I made sure I came to terms with the demands and dictates of his profession. I knew it was something I had to fall in love with to be able to live with it. Besides, I trust him so why bother my head?

Do his female fans make you jealous?

Bimbo: Not at all except when one or two girls call consistently. At times like that, I query his relationship with the person. He does not even have to be an actor for things like that to happen. Even people who are not famous have admirers.

Was relocating to Nigeria your idea or his?

Bimbo: I am yet to relocate. I still shuttle Dublin and Nigeria but ensure I spend more time here. It has not been easy but God has been faithful. He also visits when his work schedule permits.

Did your family kick against your union?

Bimbo: My parents know the kind of job he does and they loved him from the outset.

What are some of those things you do that annoy each other?

Bimbo: He receives calls late at midnight and he also likes to chat on his Blackberry at such ungodly hours. These calls are not even business related and it really gets me upset.

Sunkanmi: I don't like the fact that she makes me feel like a baby. Women like to dish out instructions to their husbands and make him follow it to the letter. For instance, if I park the car at the right spot and then she comes to tell me to turn the car around for it to face the opposite direction. It's not as if we are going out anytime soon. What I do is give her the key to go and move the car in whatever direction she desires.

How would you describe three years of being married to each other?

Bimbo: I would not say it has been easy but it has been a beautiful experience. The first few years of marriage are not the easiest because there are a lot of things the couple has to get used to. There was a day he woke me up in the midnight to say he was hungry. For me, that was a new experience.

Sunkanmi: For me, nothing much has changed. I had to cut down on my outings and also reduce my intake of alcohol. That is not to say I was an alcoholic before we got married. Now, it's no longer about me, I get to think about my wife before I even think about myself.

Are you comfortable with the romantic roles he plays sometimes?

Bimbo: I tease him about it occasionally. It's not a bother because I know such roles will come his way from time to time. Sometimes, he consults me before he takes up a role but it is not binding on him to consult me because I can't dictate which roles he should take and those he should not take. He is a man and is capable of taking good decisions. I accompany him to locations but that does not happen all the time either.

Do you ever suspect him of having extra-marital affairs?

Bimbo: If such thoughts occur, I ask him. Like those late night calls he makes, I will refer to it if need be. If a particular number keeps calling him, I will commit the number to memory and ask him if there is more to the incessant calls. If he says there is nothing, I believe him wholly.

People are of the opinion that you got married quite early…

Sunkanmi: I have heard that several times. They think being an actor; I ought to have given it more time. What I tell them is that, I got married early because I found the right woman. I am definitely going to get married someday and why do I need to delay? Even my dad was surprised when I told him I was ready to get married. I am better off as a married man because I used to be what people call a town boy. My friends used to call me 'baddo'. I can tell you that a good number of my friends took the decision to get married after I did. I was able to influence them positively.

How do you spend time as a couple?

Sunkanmi: We spend time indoors playing board games such as Ludo and we also watch a lot of Yoruba films. We go clubbing once in a while even though she does not really like it.

Who is the first to apologise when you quarrel?

Sunkanmi: She is always the first to apologise. At some point in our marriage, I got scared because she is always quick to apologise. I spoke to a marriage counsellor who said it is because she has a bigger heart than I do.

Do you believe in couples having a joint account?

Sunkanmi: My wife and I have a joint account. We also have our individual accounts but the joint account is better run by us and given greater priority. We don't fight or argue over money because it has never been a determining factor in our marriage.

Apart from being his wife, what else do you do?

Bimbo: I am a businesswoman. I buy and sell in Dublin.

What are your pet names for each other?

Bimbo: I call him Babes.

Sunkanmi: I call her using her panegyrics.

In a new interview with Sunday Sun, Toyin Aimakhu Johnson talked a great deal about her mum who pastors five churches, her early life, movie roles she's regretted playing, her newly acquired love tattoo and of course, her hubby! See excerpts below:

What is Toyin doing lately?

I just shot a move entitled, 'Eta'. It is a story about a triplet and I played the three characters. Also, 'Alakada' will be coming out by July.

What was your growing up like?

It was sweet sort of though, I am from a poor background, it's a past issue now; I give God the glory. I grew up in a small community, like a village but it was fun. Trust me because we were so healthy, we ate fresh food and there was nothing to worry about.

Were your parents farmers?

No, they were not but that was what they could afford at that time. Though, we did a little farming, my mum is a pastor and founder of churches. My dad used to work with Ibru in Benin but has retired a long time. He is also helping in the church as well.

What was it like being poor?

Well, I didn't know we were poor; I just got to realize it. You know there are some people who are poor and you look at them that they are poor but they don't see it. It was later I realized that we were poor. It was later I realized that that was why we couldn't eat spaghetti because we couldn't afford it, and we ate rice once in a week. But to me it was fun and it was just a normal way of living. It was when I was growing up that it really dawned on me. When I got to school, I also noticed but really it was fun for me growing up that I hardly took notice that we were poor.

When you were in school were you a popular kid?

Not really, but when I was in St. Annes Secondary School, I drummed. I was a drummer girl. Then, I played handball and football. I was even in the Oyo State team.

How is married life?

Marriage is sweet because I got married to my friend; we fall into the same age range. But now things are different, you can't do things without informing the other person. Sometimes when I want to make some decisions and he is not around or his phone is not going, I have to wait. I also have to act like a mother but I am enjoying it all.

Which do you enjoy, is it being single or married?

Of course, I prefer being married. You can enjoy being single because you don't have anyone questioning you. But being married is sweeter because there is someone out there who cares so much about you. You are coming home to meet someone and there is someone out there who can go an extra mile for you, and you know, it is every woman's dream to get married. So, it is better off than being single in some ways.

You are both actors, how did you meet him?

I actually met him on set.

Was it love at first sight?

No, he was my junior colleague and he is still my junior colleague anyway. He just walked up to me and said he liked my movies and I said 'thank you'. You see, I am a kind of person that is very free with everyone. I don't keep to myself, even if you are an upcomer, I don't care who you are. I am just me and I am free with everybody. When my car was stolen, he had the opportunity to ask me about it, and we became friends. At that time I was single, I had issues with my ex, so we became friends and we got talking and I realized he was even three years older than me. I also realized he is a fantastic guy and very intelligent. I was like let's give it a trial.

There is a tattoo on your hand, in the name of your husband, why?

Well, it is his name. I just did it. You know a lot of people don't know me; they just judge me from the screen. But the thing about screen is that, when you see ladies, actresses or actors that kiss a lot in the movies or that go extra length, they are always the calm and the decent ones. I am not saying that others are indecent but it's always like that, a lot of people don't know me, they don't even know who I am. They only see me on screen, well, that must be the mistake I made, being real with my roles. For instance, now I am telling people who are training under me that 'most times you can't get too real with some roles because this is the mistake I had made myself'.
You have to cut down some things; maybe at that point I didn't see someone to tell me. So, they don't even know me, they don't know who I am, a lot of people judge me from the screen. But I am not what a lot of people think. I don't even go out. I just started going out when I got married. The reason I didn't go out when I was single was because when you go out a lot, you meet a lot of people and you get confused. That is why some people, today they meet a rich man and tomorrow they meet someone richer. So, at that time, I didn't want to get confused. I just wanted to stay at home and later meet a good man. Now that I have met my man, I go out more often because even if you are richer than whatever in this world, I have got my man and wearing my wedding ring.

What are the challenges you have been faced with in the industry?

A lot. You see, a lot of people see you in a movie and they judge you based on the characters you played. You know, they deal with you according to the roles you play in the movies. But it's not like that because I just did my job. Even when I got married they were like 'isn't she an actress?' There is a sort of stigma on us and they forget that what some girls out there do is far worse than what we do. But we are in the limelight. I am not a young girl. I am an adult. I graduated like nine years ago.
So, I want what I want and I can tell you the guys I have dated. I am a lover girl, when I am dating someone everybody knows because I don't know how to hide my relationship. When we have problems, people will be like, 'see, she is not dating this person again'. But sit down and count the guys I have dated, they are not even up to five and I have never dated any married man in my life. Let any woman come out and say I have dated her husband. I have never done that. When people go on blogs and say sh-t about me, some people just go on the internet and say rubbish about people, let them come out and challenge me. Those are the things we face; they say actresses get married to married men. What about people who are not actresses that do the same?. I am not saying it is right or wrong, I am just saying that everyone has his or her opinion. However, I understand we are role models and a lot of people look up to us.

Recently, it was all over the Internet that you were pregnant, are you pregnant?

Do I look pregnant? I think it is the dress, you can see I look slim here. It is a positive thing and I am happy. I can't wait to be a mother. When you are married in Nigeria the next thing is getting pregnant, but my husband is young and I want to be with my husband now. When the kids start coming, the attention will shift, so let me love my husband and we will have kids. But if I get pregnant now, it is fine. It's going to come, please help me tell them to chill.
What great lessons did your parents teach you that you couldn't forget?
Do what makes you happy but think of people around you. And also pray.

You said earlier that your mother is a pastor?

She is not just a pastor; she is also a founder of churches. She has like five churches.

What was your parents' reaction when you told them you were going to be an actress?

They didn't like it at first but my mum just called me and gave me some words of advice, that I should hold the family's name in high esteem. They don't watch movies but sometimes people watch and they tell them, and when they ask me about some roles I played, I try to explain to them or sometimes I just tell them that's not me. I won't lie to you; I have played roles in movies that I regret. Trust me. But what will I do? Will I kill myself? Of course not. I just smile over it and look the other way. You know, it is because of the passion I have for this job, I play some roles and I want them to look real. When I leave the set, I will be like 'why did I do this?' Or when I watch some of my movies, I will ask myself 'why did I play this role like this?' Often times I wonder why I have not met my husband long time ago to correct me about some things. Was I dating the wrong people back then? Why is it that some of my senior colleagues didn't tell me about this?

How did he propose to you?

He proposed on a cheap canoe (laughs). We were coming from Ikorodu and there was this mad traffic. We were running late and we had to do a job quickly. We had to park our car at Badore and hop on the canoe. He proposed right there. When we were coming back and even if I wanted to say no, I dare not because we were on the sea (laughs). But I was happy; I knew I was going to get married to a young man because I told God 'if I don't get married to a young man, I would rather remain single than marry a married man'.

Was there a time you wanted to pull out of acting because you got so overwhelmed with the challenges?

No, there was no time like that. I have never been harassed. As a matter of fact, I dated someone in the industry, that was some few years back and it was because I wanted to date him. We liked each other and we decided to date. We had a relationship, so I was never abused, nobody asked me for sex. When some people say that, I am like maybe it's because of their appearance, because when I get to location, I greet everyone with respect.

Less than 8 weeks ago, the news of Ini Edo's conception was the most talked about story on the net with many of her fans wishing her a safe delivery but as we speak, the reverse is the case.
Ini Edo has suffered yet another miscarriage making this her third miscarriage since her highly celebrated wedding in 2008.
A source wrote on a condition of anonymity claimed that Ini Edo's ex-Husband's wife, another Nollywood actress is behind her problem.
We learnt when Ini Edo allegedly snatched Phillip Ehiagwina from her over 8 years ago, she allegedly vowed that she will remain barren in her husband's house..Though she (name withheld) said it out of anger, since then Ini Edo has been having one miscarriage after the other.
Ini Edo was in her late first trimester when she lost this pregnancy, a case similar to her other pregnancies.

Hanging out with famous Hollywood people has it's perks. Wizkid was today, once again, featured on UK's Daily Mail as he hung out with Chris Brown, Karrueche Tran and Chris' entourage at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday.

Wizkid will be in LA till after the BET awards and I hear he and Chris Brown are planning to shoot a music video for their song collaboration.
