| MEET the Scam Beggar Who Made Over N16 Million From Faking Sad Stories! [PHOTO] Posted: 24 Apr 2014 04:14 PM PDT  He's in a wheelchair, and gets his money by making you feel sorry for him. Gary Thompson, says he rakes in 60,000 to 100,000 dollars a year begging. But his sob story is a sham, and he admitted it to LEX 18. Since our story first aired about Thompson, complaints have poured into our newsroom. "It's offensive;" "It's disturbing;" "It's just plain sad;" those are some of the comments viewers have shared who say they believed Thompson, and gave him money. He is in a wheelchair, because he has difficulty walking, but his speech isn't slurred and his arms are fully functioning. Thompson is not the man he makes himself out to be. "I appreciate you guys busting me," Thompson says as he laughs. "Yeah, I'm really good at it, really good. I clear about 100,000 dollars a year doing this." Thompson goes on to tell us, "I am normal, it just helps to be mentally handicapped." "Helps" with his business. Thompson is banking on the fact you'll feel sorry for him, enough to give him your hard-earned money. "He got me!" Judy McKinney says. She tells LEX 18 Thompson wheeled out in front of her stopped car on Shelby Street "I don't make that much money, but I reached into my pocket, and gave him everything I had. Six dollars at the time," McKinney says. She says he gave her the same spiel he gave us "I actually thought he was a handicapped person and I actually thought I was doing a good deed." Dozens of you have come forward, telling us about Thompson, that he "approached you," and that you "gave him money." Thompson has now been exposed, but he doesn't seem worried, or remorseful. We caught him on camera trying his act again, after we busted him, right outside police headquarters. It doesn't look like he's going to stop this anytime soon: "Hey I love y'all!" Thompson says, looking right into the camera. "Keep paying me! I'll see you on the street!" On another note, Thompson used to be a millionaire. His mother sued Honda in 1993 after he was injured in a motorcycle accident. He got 2.4 million dollars, money he says he blew. Thompson has pleaded guilty to charges twice this year. | SAD! Former Super Eagles’ Legend Dies In Lagos! [PHOTO] Posted: 24 Apr 2014 10:13 AM PDT  Nigeria's football wonder dribbler of the 1950s and 1960s, Albert Onyeawuna died yesterday aged 78 years. Family sources confided in THISDAY last night that Onyeawuna who has been ill for several months now passed on at a clinic in FESTAC Town, Lagos late last night. He debuted for Nigeria's national team then called the Red Devils on October 30, 1955 and played his last game for the country on March 26 1964. He scored seven goals in 26 games. He was the star of the Port Harcourt team in the 1950s and scored twice as they beat Kano 4-1 in the 1955 Challenge Cup. He again shone as his team won the Challenge Cup beating Federal United 6-1 in 1958. Onyeawuna played in Nigeria's first ever African Cup of Nations in Ghana in 1963. Onyeawuna retired from the game and invested very well but at his old age, he had serious challenges with his sight. Payments for eye surgeries from an auto accident practically wiped out all his investments. | Badest Guy! Terry G, Hotel Manager Exchange Blows In public Posted: 24 Apr 2014 10:09 AM PDT  Terry G, has again been involved in a messy fight at a hangout in his Iju neighbourhood. The fight, which later resulted in a free-for-all, took place at the Treasures Exclusive Garden, off Bola Tinubu Road, Iju, Lagos at about 6p.m. Wednesday. A source told P.M.NEWS that Terry G and his boys stormed the hotel to relax but things later turned awry between some staff of the hangout and the music star with his crew. According to the source, when Terry G arrived the club, one of his boys forcefully jumped into the swimming pool without paying. One of the hangout's attendants asked the boy to come out of the pool but he refused. When he was dragged out, his colleagues reportedly reacted with violence. The ensuing free for all, the source said, saw Terry G raining blows on the hotel manager. "When Terry G and his crew arrived the hotel around 6p.m., one of his boys just jumped into the pool without paying. The security guard called him to come out but he refused. Even the owner of the hotel, Mr. George Obot, shouted at him but he refused. Terry G further messed up the whole issue when he started abusing Mr. Obot, telling the man what did he think he has and all sort of things," the source narrated. He continued: "His boys started beating the security guards, while Terry G himself slapped the hotel manager who was trying to calm him down." Mr. Obot, the owner of Treasures Exclusive Garden, in a phone chat with our correspondent, confirmed the incident. He said that he was disappointed in Terry G who came and messed up his place. Obot said he wouldn't want to comment further since he was still assessing the matter and would get back to P.M.NEWS. A patron of Treasures, who claimed he witnessed the incident, however had a slightly different story to tell. The patron, who did not want his name mentioned for fear of reprisal from the relaxation centre's management, said when Terry G and two others arrived the club, they hurriedly undressed and were about to jump into the swimming pool when the club manager told them that they couldn't. The ensuing noise from the altercation between the manager and Terry G's crew brought the proprietor to the scene. The proprietor, too, insisted that it was inappropriate for the singer to dive into the pool. When Terry G stuck to his guns, the proprietor, the source said, threw a punch at him. Then bedlam ensued When P.M.NEWS contacted Terry G, it was his manager who picked the call. While confirming the brawl between his principal's crew and some staff of the hotel, he however denied the claim that Terry G physically assaulted anyone there. "It is not true. Terry G witnessed the whole scenario but never engaged anyone in a fight. When the whole issue happened and it was getting messy, he just walked away from the place since he was aware of his celebrity status," Terry G's manager said. Felix Alonge, the club supervisor, said yesterday was not the first time Terry G would come to the hangout and rupture its peace. "Anytime Terry G comes to this place, he will surely cause trouble," Alonge said. When P.M.NEWS visited the resort this morning, Mr. Obot was not there. He was said to have gone to the Iju Ishaga 'Red House' Police Station. Though the club manager declined to speak on developments on the matter, a staff said Terry G's mother had been invited to the police station, presumably to vouch for her son's civility should he decide to visit the club in future. Terry G has earned notoriety over his uncivil behaviour. Sometime ago, he was reportedly engaged in a public brawl with fellow musician, Side One, in Benin City. The visit was said to have been arranged by a lawyer from the Office of the Public Defender, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, and her husband's lawyer, Mr. Onyechukwu Ubani. She said, "I have not seen my children for nine months and our lawyers agreed that I could come see them at home after school hours by 5pm. I went to the house at the appointed time, but my children were not there. "I had to wait outside in the compound until 10pm before my husband arrived; the children were not with him. They were later brought home by the driver about 12am. By then it was clear I couldn't leave again, I had to spend the night. "The following morning, I bathed and dressed them for school. They pleaded with me to stay back until they returned and since I hardly spent time with them the day before, I agreed." A few hours after her children had left for school, Bessem received a phone call from Chris who had also left the house. He allegedly questioned her presence in the house and ordered her to leave. When Bessem insisted on staying till her children returned from school, Chris allegedly sent a policeman who was part of his entourage to the house. She said, "The policeman told me to leave the house. At that time, I was wearing only my dress. I had washed my undies and spread them to dry since I didn't come with extra. "I told the policeman that I would leave after my children returned from school. Later, Chris came in and on seeing me, he started beating me and dragged me out of the house." She said some policemen came to arrest her, but could not go with them because her clothes were torn. The following day after making a complaint of assault at the Isheri Police Division, she was hospitalised at the Solid Rock Hospital, in the Ojodu/Berger area. A copy of her medical report made available to PUNCH Metro said Bessem was brought in for treatment after a brawl with her spouse. It reads in part, "Examination revealed a middle aged woman in distress with multiple bruises, BP 140/80mmhg and pulse rate 104bpm. There was inflammation around the left knee and tenderness along the spine. She was subsequently admitted, placed on intravenous fluids and managed as case of multiple trauma secondary to domestic violence." The report was signed by one Dr. Ametepee T. M. Chris, when contacted, did not respond to calls and a text message to his phone. Our correspondent visited his church at Ojodu on two occasions, but his aides said he was not available for comment. When PUNCH Metro contacted the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ngozi Braide, she did not respond to calls and text messages to her phone. However, Chris lawyer, Ubani, said, "Bessem has made all sorts of allegations against her husband, but what she has failed to tell you is that she left her marriage of her own volition. She ended her marriage with her infidelity. She would leave her house, come back at late hours and would not tell her husband where she has been. "The couple are already in court for divorce. This particular incident you are asking about, it was Bessem who tore her own clothes. Chris never laid a hand on her. Why did she not get a medical report from a government hospital? "If she was truly assaulted she would have gone to the station to make a report. Then they would give her a paper to take to a public hospital. That of the private hospital is not admissible in court. Chris never refused her access to her children; they were simply brought to the church because his mother and cousin were not at home. After bringing some policemen from Isheri to arrest Chris while he was at the pulpit, she still went ahead to Zone 2 to make another report." The PPRO Zone 2, SP Lewi Suleimann, when contacted said, "We are still waiting to get the file transferred from the Isheri Police Station. I would not like to comment much before we get the file." | TOO BAD! Another Mad Man arrested with human Parts & N4m Cash! [PHOTOS] Posted: 24 Apr 2014 07:30 AM PDT  The people of Upper Sokponba in Benin where a 'mad man' lived for almost two years were shocked when they discovered that the man who they thought was mad, was not actually mad but a murderer. Upon his arrest, a gun, different human parts and a sum of N4m was found on him. Residents of the area claims the man lived in a make-shift apartment and usually takes his bath outside naked and they never suspected he was a ritual killer. Continue below to read how he was caught; A suspected ritual killer who specialises in selling human parts has been arrested by security operatives in Benin City, the Edo State capital, southern Nigeria. The man, whose identity is yet to be revealed, was allegedly arrested at the Upper Sokponba road area of Benin with cut to size gun, different human parts and N4 million cash. It was reliably gathered that the man had lived in a make-shift apartment for close to two years, pretending to be a madman. According to one of the landlords in the area simply identified as Pa. Onaiwu, who spoke to journalists, the suspected ritual killer was in the habit of behaving funny especially when it is getting dark. "This man sometimes behaves funny. In the afternoon, you will see him bathing naked, behaving like a real madman. "What really disturbed us are the dead bodies found around almost the same area. The most serious issues is that if a dead body is that of a woman, the head, the breasts and the private part would have been removed. Same also goes for a male dead body. "The last person that died around the area was a woman whose head, breasts and private part was cut off. Nobody will ever believe that the man is not a madman, the way he behaves, not knowing that he is responsible for all the killings in that area." He suggested that someone might have seen the suspect dumping the headless body on the express road and informed the security operatives. When contacted on phone, Edo State Police Commissioner, Foluso Adebanjo, said he was aware of the rumour but that he was yet to be briefed by the DPO of Ugbekun division in charge of the area, but added that he is making frantic effort to confirm the incident from his men on ground. | Glo to Terminate Contract with P-square for Splitting?! Posted: 24 Apr 2014 06:53 AM PDT  A close source to the telecoms operator, told Vanguard on telephone that Glo may terminate the endorsement deal, which it has with the pop twins since 2010, should they go ahead with the break-up. According to the source, the telecoms giant entered into a contract with P-Square and not with any of the twins. "Since Glo has a contract with P-Square, and not with Peter or Paul, their breakup will definitely lead to the termination of the contract," the source explained. Meanwhile, when Vanguard visited the Squareville residence of the pop twins at Lola Holloway Street, Omole Phase 1, Lagos, the place was a shadow of its old self. Doll, Kitten and Brynn Young married in a ceremony in August 2013, when each of their fathers walked them down the aisle. All three women wore white wedding gowns and exchanged rings. The so-called 'throuple' worked with a specialist family lawyer who drew up the paperwork and drafted the ceremony so that all three of them were obligated and bound to each other. While Brynn and Kitten are legally married, Doll is handfasted to both so the threesome are as equally married to each other as legally possible.  Having both enjoyed polygamous relationships before, Doll and Brynn looked for a third woman to join them. After a few failed liaisons, Doll and Brynn created an OKCupid couple's profile. Eventually, they received a message from Kitten.  Fashion Manager, Kitten says: 'My second boyfriend and I had been together for several years but a few months before our wedding, he called the whole thing off without explanation. At first, I was distraught but now, I'm grateful for what he did. 'The whole break-up forced me to really think about who I was and I realised that I had not been honest to myself. On reflection, I realised that I hadn't been happy in my previous monogamous relationships and I discovered that I was poly. 'I set up an OKCupid profile for myself and began dating an awesome woman with the happy consent of her husband. They were a lovely couple but we ended the relationship after I had to move away. 'Soon after that amicable break-up, I came across Doll's and Kitten's OKCupid profile and saw they were looking for a third member to join their 'Super Hero Group'.' Doll, Brynn and Kitten went for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant for their first date and immediately liked each other. Doll says: 'There was an instant attraction with Kitten but I think we all really bonded when we baked cookies together on our fourth date. I didn't know what love was until the three of us clicked like that.' Brynn adds: 'With Doll and Kitten, things finally made sense. It was as if the puzzle was finally complete with all three pieces.' Within a few months, Kitten moved in with Doll and Brynn. Two years later, they decided to get married after Kitten proposed the idea to them. Kitten says: 'I had always wanted to get married and I guess Doll and Brynn indulged my wishes! I had a very traditional upbringing and marriage had always been an important symbol of commitment for me. We wanted to celebrate our love in a wedding like everyone else.' The threesome insist their relationship is like that of any normal couple: having breakfast with one another, watching TV after work and sharing a bed together Doll says: 'The only difference is that communication is a lot more difficult for us than others. There are three people so our relationship takes detailed scheduling - everything we do goes on the calendar! 'Whilst communication is tricky, household chores are a lot easier with three people! You can slack off on your errands and another person can pick them up.' Brynn adds: 'Each of us has our own allocated chores and roles - I like to think of us a romantic committee. In our relationship, I'm the traditional breadwinner. I work a forty hour week and make the majority of the family's income. 'Doll does the cooking and Kitten does the cleaning. Sometimes, Kitten also helps me with my hair and make-up before I go to work.' The threesome spent several date nights planning their dream wedding - making decorations and shopping for matching traditional, white gowns. Brynn says: 'Planning our wedding was hectic. It took a lot more organizing because there were three brides involved. Kitten, Brynn and Doll had to work with the legalities of the state to get married to each other. As being married to more than one person is not currently legal, they had to combine handfasting, legally binding documents and legal marriage. A family lawyer drew up paperwork - in terms of assets, wills and legal rights to children - to bind them all together as much as they could without an actual three way marriage. The primate while speaking with Ayomide Owonibi said Nigeria will manage to live together for another 30-50 years but he can tell you that the country will not stand in the next 100 years. He also said the CIA has misled the government on Boko Haram and other countries will join Nigeria in the future to fight the deadly sect. Speaking on politics the primate said PDP will win the presidential election come 2015 and if the Vice president is not careful, he will be replaced. He also said APC will not stand because they did not ask God before they came together. His words after the cut; Visions for Nigeria in the first quarter of the yearPrayers are all what we need to keep the country intact, to bring peace to the country. As a matter of fact, a lot is still going to happen and Nigerians still need to be praying ahead. I am using this medium to appeal to all Christians and Nigerians who believe in the tomorrow of this country to pray. If Nigerians can exercise patience, I see the economy booming. I see expatriates coming into this country because our economy would be one of the best in Africa come 2017. But the point is that we have to pray that God should keep Nigeria as one nation. The government has not really addressed the issue of one nation as expected. We need prayers for God's divine intervention. Nigeria's unityIt may take 30 or 50 years but Nigeria cannot stay together for another 100 years. Specifically, are you seeing Jonathan as President in 2015?I am not talking about Jonathan here. I am talking about the party. I am saying again, PDP will make it in 2015. There is still going to be more negotiations. Honestly speaking, if the Vice-President does not sit up, his position would be used for negotiations. Most of the defected government if not all, two would come back to PDP. There would still be more defections. APC cannot fight PDP, as they don't have the mandate. APC did not ask from God before they came together so they cannot stand. Another thing is that the weather forecast in Lagos State, which said that rain would fall for 265 days is a lie. The Lord told me that it is a lie. There would be rain but not for 265 days. The meteorologists have made a big blunder. Nobody determines the work of God. On insecurityIf this government tries to have any kind of amnesty with Boko Haram, it would cause problems for this country. The government should not take it lightly with Boko Haram; they should fight the war against them. I see other nations supporting Nigeria in the long run. Boko Haram would still make the FG spend a lot of money. On the issue of Boko Haram, the CIA has misled the Nigerian government about it. As said by the Lord, America should be blamed, as directed by the Lord. These people are not spirits. I don't know whether the government is afraid to address things the way they are. They should address it from the roots. We said it earlier this year that Abuja must be very watchful because there is going to be an attack on Abuja. The government should work more on security so that Nigerians can be protected. Nigerians don't understand when a man of God speaks. We should not blame many men of God who said things in the back that did not come to pass. Everything is in the hands of God. He is the one who has the final say about everything that happens. What I am saying in essence is that APC will not make the presidency in 2015, though it will be very tough. What are your thoughts about the missing Malaysian plane?The missing Malaysian plane is riddled with politics. The people should put pressure on the Malaysian government. There is more to that missing plane than meets the eye. I would say it again, the government is involved. The government should be queried about the missing plane. It is not a crashed plane at the moment, but a missing plane. How about Rivers State?If Rivers State is not careful enough, PDP might take over the state. PDP would [keep] Akwa Ibom. Also, if care is not taken, PDP would take over Sokoto State. These are the states that God has revealed to me that PDP would take over. I see the flag of Nigeria changing. At the end of it all, there is still going to be another constitution review. I see that there is going to be something like a referendum. That Oprah is a manipulative and high-handed fellow, she treats family like staff and uses her wealth to control others. That Oprah Winfrey kicked her out of her home after 14 years, leaving her flat out homeless. That Oprah played in a huge part in 'destroying' her marriage to Oprah's father. She also reveals that Oprah and her "boyfriend" Stedman Graham are not bound by romance but a pragmatic cocktail of shared secrets...  And at the heart of it all, Barbara claims, the 'real Oprah' - hidden behind the image she projects so well – is a woman unhappy in her skin and, as Barbara has learned to her cost, unforgiving to those who inspire her wrath. Barbara said told DailyMail: 'You find out quickly where your place is with Oprah and you get in that place and you stay in that place. My crime, I think, was to talk to her like a normal person and she didn't like that one bit. My husband once told me that just because someone gives you something does not mean they love you. He was talking about Oprah. Her brand is that she's a nice, caring, generous, giving person. That's not how it is. She's controlling – it's all about control. She has confidentiality agreements with pretty much everybody in her life. She has them sign their life away and she has them in her pocket. Everything comes with stipulations but she doesn't tell you that and she doesn't tell you what they are. Some people can have money and be mentally rich – secure in what they have I guess. But she had to be in control.' About Oprah throwing her out of her matrimonial home, according to Barbara, she wedded Vernon Winfrey, Oprah's father, 15 years after first meeting him - 17 June 2000. But their marriage fell apart when she discovered Vernon cheated on her with a prostitute named 'One Tooth.' By her own admission Barbara struggled to cope with Vernon's infidelity. She moved out of the marital bedroom but she was not, she insisted, looking to end her marriage. Barbara said: 'Oprah is a woman who empowers women to be all they can be, to stand up against men who mistreat them. If she was a more decent person she would realize that what her dad did was very wrong instead of plotting against me and pushing me out of the scene. Vernon had been telling everyone he was unhappy with the marriage. He told Stedman and he told Oprah, so she came up with an escape plan I guess to get me out of the picture, make all the scandal of what he'd done go away. Barbara claimed that Oprah pressed her dad Vernon to resolve the situation and divorce her. Even though they're divorced now, they still speak once a week, so she believes they would have stayed together had Oprah not intervened. Oprah bought a home in Nashville back in 2000 for her dad and her stepmother as a wedding gift. Barb claims once she and her now ex-husband decided to split, Vernon convinced Oprah to take back the home she had gifted them. Barbara was served with an eviction notice earlier this month and has until May 29th to leave the $1.4 million Nashville home. I have lost everything. It's not just a house, this is my home. All my memories are here. I'm trying to keep it together but there are some days I just don't understand how I could have made her so angry that she would kick me out on the street and think nothing about it. But that's Oprah – she's judge and jury. "I know people have read about this and thought, Who does she think she is? Why should she get a million dollar home? But can you see it's not about that?
