| Posted: 22 Apr 2014 01:26 PM PDT  Frane Selak, a Croatian music teacher, began his unlucky streak in 1962 on a train going from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. The train unexplainably jumped the tracks and fell into an icy river killing 17 passengers. Selak managed to swim to shore suffering from hypothermia and a broken arm. A year later while on an airplane, it's door flew off and Selak was sucked out of the airplane. The plane crashed and he woke up in a hospital. He'd been found in a haystack. Then in 1966, Selak was on a bus that went off the road and into a river. Four people were killed, but he suffered minor injuries. In 1970, his car caught on fire and he stopped it and got out just before the whole car blew up. In 1973, Selak was driving another car when a faulty fuel line sprayed gas all over the engine and flames blew through his air vents. His only injury was the loss of most of his hair. In '95 he was hit by a bus, but on sustained minor injuries. Finally in 1996 he was driving on a mountain road when he went around a bend and saw a truck coming right at him. He ran is car through a guardrail and jumped out to watch his car blow up 300 feet below him. In 2003, Selak bought a lottery ticket for the first time in 40 years at the age of 74. Posted: 22 Apr 2014 09:26 AM PDT  Celebrities and fans of the Nigerian singing duo, Peter and Paul Okoye, P-Square, have appealed to them to reconcile whatever differences they might have and shelve their planned break-up. Ace DJ, Jimmy Jatt, said: "You are brothers. You have no choice. You just have to stay together. "It is normal for siblings to have issues, but please do not let it tear you apart. I believe in you, I have great faith you will remain together." Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, who is a close friend of the twins, likened the impending break-up to death and implored their wives to do something to salvage the situation She said: "When you break up, your whole identity is shattered. It is like death. The love of twins is undisputed, Paul and Peter. You have been together for years, making great songs like Senorita, Do me, Story, More than a friend, Omoge mi, Busy body, Alingo, Personally, Testimony; the list is endless! Why break it up now? "Please learn. Two heads are better than one. Mrs Lola and Anita, they say a woman makes a home. This is the time to show the world that both of you are women with great substance, which I believe you are," she appealed in a post on Instagram. For days now the rumour mill has been ablaze with news that the singing duo have gone their separate ways over issues many have come to tag 'irreconcilable differences'. Since news of the crisis broke, fans have taken to every known social media page to beg the twins to stay together. Jude Okoye The rumour was given wings by their brother and manager, Jude Okoye, following his tweets: "After 10 years it's over. Am done." It sent shock waves through the entertainment world, with their fans fearing the worst. But according to findings, it seems their worst fears might have been realised as Vanguard can authoritatively reveal that the alleged rumour of break-up is no more rumour. The two brothers are actually at daggers drawn, and look set to have nothing to do with each other again. Though their publicist, Bayo Adetu, has come out to debunk the break-up rumour, saying "I am too busy to pay attention to some wannabe blogger traffic because I don't know where that report is coming from. "Maybe they just want to get traffic to their site. It's baseless and untrue." But according to a reliable source, who begged for anonymity, "Bayo was only doing his job and did the first thing any normal publicist would do to protect his job and his employers. "The truth of the matter is that the brothers have been going at each other for months, with Jude caught in the middle, trying to see if he could settle them." Insider scoop The source further revealed that Peter is bitter, partly because unhealthy innuendos have been hurled at him as the passive member of the group. The source said: "The way things are, we may find Jude and Paul staying together, while Peter walks away. "All the moves to reconcile them right now is targeted at changing Peter's mind, who looks all resolved to end all relationship with his brother. | Abducted School Girls Latest: 'What we saw in Sambisa forest' – Parents! Posted: 22 Apr 2014 09:34 AM PDT  Parents of school girls abducted last Tuesday from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram terrorists, yesterday, recounted their experience in the dreaded Sambisa forest in search of their daughters who are being held there. The aggrieved, traumatised parents who spoke when the state governor, Kashim Shettima visited the school, also disputed the figures provided by the state government of those who have escaped. The parents had vowed last week to sacrifice their lives and storm the forest because the military had allegedly failed to enter the forest and rescue their children. Narrating their experience, Mallam Amos Chiroma who was among those who combed the Sambisa forest told Vanguard: "We saw a lot of strange things in the Sambisa forest but we will not be able to disclose all for security reasons. Borno and indeed this country require prayers from all and sundry. "While we were in the forest with over 200 volunteers who only had cutlasses, bows, arrows and sticks, we came across different make-shift camps suspected to be owned by terrorists. It is however unfortunate that we had to turn back when we met one good Samaritan in the forest who advised us that it was in our own interest to go back because the area we were approaching in the forest was a dead zone dominated by terrorists. "If soldiers had accompanied us to the forest, we were optimistic that our missing children would have been rescued, or we would be satisfied if we can just see the dead bodies of our daughters". Another parent, Mallam Shettima Yau Haruna, who spoke on behalf of parents of the abducted school girls, told the governor that since the incident, they have been having sleepless nights and they summoned courage to enter the Sambisa forest. He said: "We want to seize this opportunity to thank you for the visit and identify with us at this sorrowful moment. But the truth of the matter is that only 39 out of about 250 students have so far been rescued contrary to official reports that 44 students were rescued out of 129 who were abducted as they were preparing to write their senior secondary school certificate examinations. We want to emphasise that we are not happy with this development. While we continue to pray for the safe return of our daughters, we therefore appeal to government and our security operatives to please intensify the search for our missing innocent children", Haruna said. Our correspondent who visited the school, yesterday, observed that the entire structure and vehicles in the school were set ablaze as well as the council secretariat and the residence of the caretaker chairman. Governor Shettima, while addressing parents of the abducted students sympathised with them and promised to deploy all human and material resources towards the safe release of the missing students. He, however, called on all and sundry to continue to pray and fast for the safe return of the abducted girls. Meanwhile, Governor Shettima's spokesman, Isa Gusau said, yesterday that soldiers and vigilante groups were hunting "around the clock" for the terrorists holding the schoolgirls hostage. Isa Gusau, said that 52 students had escaped so far, after seven more girls were found safe, yesterday. Two ran to the state capital, Maiduguri, while five others found their way home, he said. "With this development, we now have 77 girls still in the custody of their abductors," Gusau told AFP. According to him, "this is the most trying moment Governor Shettima has faced in the last three years. A security (operation) has been put in place to rescue the remaining girls and this included soldiers and members of a civilian force that was formed last year to help the military fight Boko Haram. "We are working around the clock to ensure all of them are freed unharmed," he said. Gusau's figures were disputed, yesterday, by the school's principal, Asabe Kwambura, who said she was working with parents to compile a complete register of those taken. She said, "a total of 230 names" were registered by parents. So far, 43 girls have escaped. We still have 187 missing." Residents of Chibok have also appealed to Boko Haram to show mercy and release the girls. "We are appealing to Boko Haram to show mercy and release these girls," said Chibok resident Haladu Sule, adding "the people of Chibok will know no peace until they are freed." Members of the community have also criticised the rescue mission, claiming they have not yet seen a large build-up of troops in the region or any indication that the military had mobilised a major search effort. | 'Why I am in hiding From EFCC' - Laide Bakare’s husband Orilowo reveals! Posted: 22 Apr 2014 10:03 AM PDT  The battle between Lagos socialite, Alhaji Tunde Muttairu Orilowo and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is yet to end as the anti-graft commission has reacted to the publication being circulated by the embattled hubby of the popular Yoruba actress, Laide Bakare that he's a victim of blackmail. In the report forwarded by Mr. Orilowo's publicist, the Lagos born business mogul debunked the fraud and theft related cases against him, adding that he's not on the run as declared by EFCC, so far he has not committed any offence to warrant running away from his fatherland. He noted that he was miffed by the commission's declaration because he could not understand what the interest of EFCC was, as no court of law has indicted him for any offence and no warrant arrest has ever been issued on him. But, in a swift reaction by the commission on Monday, April 14, 2014, their spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren insisted that the socialite has a case to answer. He added that there is no reason for EFCC to malign his image because the issue between Orilowo and the body is not personal. "There is nothing to respond to in that matter again. The man has been declared wanted by us. In that case, he is expected to make himself available for investigation on the allegation against him. This is not personal. In other words, why should we blackmail him? But, so far he is on our wanted list, he should come forward to clean himself of the allegation against him. He's not guilty yet, we are not judging him and we can't find him guilty when we have not heard his own side of the story. So, he should come forward to us instead of hiding, and reporting the matter to the media. If he doesn't have a case to answer, we wouldn't have declared him wanted. But, that doesn't mean we have concluded that he is guilty." Asked if the commission had received a court letter through the wanted man's lawyer, challenging the EFCC for blackmail, Mr. Wilson said, "I am not aware of that, but if there is any, the legal department would have notified us." Meanwhile, it's Mr. Orilowo's press release that explained the reason for his travails in the hands of the agency. According to him, the EFCC and MTN were only out to blackmail him because of the court case he instituted against EFCC, seeking an injunction to restrain the agency from arresting him or declaring him wanted, which was supposed to be determined on March 28, 2014. Yet, he was declared wanted on no basis many weeks before the hearing date." Explaining the issue further, Mr. Orilowo said, "There was this MTN Cooperative whose membership is of MTN workers. Their union came together with this idea of a project called Y'ello Estate to be built at Okun Ajah. That is my home town and where I do most of my business. So, based on my popularity and as a philanthropist who commands respect in the area, my company, Primavera Engineering & Construction Limited, was approached by MTN to help buy five hectares of land, which we did. Later, they came to us again and said oh, there are more demands, get us five hectares more. We did. The subscribers now became much interested in the project because they were going to make it the best of such estates in Lagos. "We had an agreement from the beginning because they trusted us to deliver. The agreement was for me to; one, buy the lands; two, to ensure that the lands acquired were validly documented; and three, to be the sole developer of the estate". "But some powerful people at MTN then came in after the agreement with the aim to hijack it. They saw the project as a laudable one and they were shocked that I was the only man handling the project. They came with an excuse that many people were bidding for it and it should not be a one-man thing. But I had spent close to one billion naira on this project. "The agreement was for me to collect from MTN 20 percent of the money for mobilization and then go ahead to complete it with my personal money. And I had spent a lot on it. You know how big a project like an Estate can be; talk of roads, bridges and other amenities. "So, since the MTN had decided to bring in another developer and my company has committed so much into executing the project, I asked that the money I have spent so far be refunded. But when they were not forthcoming, I took the MTN Cooperative to court seeking to retrieve my money. We got judgment from Hon. Justice Olateru-Olagbegi. We then had negotiations with MTN based on the court judgment. Under the terms of settlement, MTN was to pay us substantial sum of money. It's the title of a movie that was produced in 2002. Not many people know my real name; 'Lepa Shandy' has become my second name – and I appreciate it. Has it been easy answering that name? It's not been easy, my brother. I give glory to God. I have done several productions since 2002, but Lepa Shandy still paves way for me. But you know how people are. You go anywhere, people recognise you. Even when you are in a bad mood, you have to smile. People do not know you are also a human being with blood in your veins and that you could be facing hard times. They expect you to be happy every time, and you just have to keep up appearance. That is one of the major challenges almost every celebrity faces, apart from the fact that some people demand for money any time they see you. They should know that we work for the money. Sometimes, however, it shows that they appreciate you. And if I go anywhere, they want to force me to give them money, I have learnt how to handle them, if I don't have money. By 'them' you mean Area Boys? Do they force you to part with your money? No. However, there are certain areas you just have to have right of passage by tipping some people. I was driving somewhere the other day when one of those boys saw me from the other side of the road. Before I could say 'Jack', he was at my side of the road, yelling, "Ohun da?!" (meaning, 'where is it'?) And I said, "Which colour?" and drove off. They always ask. When I have, I give. What can I do? Have you ever been attacked for not tipping Area Boys? It hasn't happened yet, but when you are in the midst of those guys (you know what I am talking about), you may be attacked. Of course I have been attacked several times. There was a time I was returning from a location in Ikorodu. In the traffic, six men suddenly appeared from nowhere around my car. They blocked the way with a big stone. I drove like a mad person in order to escape being attacked by them. This particular incident was published in the dailies. It was a mobile Policemen who saw me and came to my rescue. It was this policeman that shot in the air before they let me be. In fact, he followed me to Ojota and kept assuring me on the way. Did you have the impression that they were after your life? No, I knew it was not that. They just wanted to collect money. Though I had some money, I couldn't have opened my bag in their presence. I was afraid they could snatch my bag. So, I didn't want to open my bag, and they were ready to block me not to go. I was the only one in the car, but for the mobile policeman, who knows what would have happened? Doesn't it surprise you the number of Area Boys who are your fans? No. They are our fans. They are the ones that watch our movies. Since we speak Yoruba which they understand, it isn't difficult for them to relate to us even in the street. There is nothing we can do. They need to understand us more. It is not every time you have to tip them. We appreciate them. They are our major market. Beside your street encounters with Area Boys, have you had any brushes with the media? No be you people? I heard about a lot of scandals sometimes ago. When it first happened to me, I almost lost it. I was not prepared for it. I must confess to you that it really got to me. But since then, I have developed thick skin for scandals. I am not (bothered) by what anyone writes about me. I don't even shake when people draw my attention to all those garbage. It's their problem. Once my family and relatives appreciate me for who I am and what I do, I don't care anymore about bad press. What was that particular scandal that affected you the most? It was the one that claimed that I snatched my friend's husband. That was when I was still single. This man I am talking about happened to be my senior colleague; the man that groomed me in the industry. His wife was (and still is) my very good friend. You know that in our society, people get funny ideas, especially when two people of the opposite s*x are close. If they see you even chatting with someone, it could be taken that you are dating the person. That is Nigeria for you. This senior colleague and I were very close. He pampered me a lot just like his younger sister. They must have seen us at a location together and, snap! came the news. That paper is no more in the market as we speak. It is not only bad press that can sell your paper. When you publish without facts, people are likely to discover, and before you know it, you are out of business. Are you saying that these things don't happen in Nollywood? Even if they happen, what is their business? It is nobody's business how an individual runs his or her life. If you see those people talking about actors and actresses, go and search how they live. They are even worse off than actors. It is none of anybody's business how we live our lives. It is not good for people to take our lives too personal. Abeg, you wan drink Panadol for another person's headache? I am not saying it doesn't happen, but my case was a brutal lie. However, we only laughed over it. When I called my friend (the one whose husband they said I snatched) about the news, she asked me to send the reporter's name and number so that she could speak to him. You can imagine! I am still a good friend of this couple. But because I was just new to it, I cried bitterly when it happened, until I was lectured by another journalist on bad press. Since then, my brother, there is nothing you will write about me that will affect me. Do journalists write only bad things about you? No. It's not only bad things. Newspapers write very encouraging reports about us. But these soft sell tabloids, because people enjoy gossip, want to satisfy their market. All the same, you don't have to tarnish another person's image to satisfy your readers. There are other enlightened people who would love to read other aspects of our lives beside the scandals. But is it not true also that you went to Dublin to meet one Alhaji? I also read that report, my brother. A friend of mine drew my attention to that report. After I read it, I called my boyfriend (who is now my husband) and asked him if he was an Alhaji. I sent him the online link to the news and he laughed. If I live in the same house as you and there is a report that I am with one Alhaji, who is spoiling me silly with wealth in Dublin, would you believe it? We had a good laugh. That story vindicated me in the eyes of my husband. He can't believe anything anyone writes about me. This happened when we were courting. It could have destroyed my marriage if I wasn't with him when it happened. When it happened, I went to Dublin to see him and shortly after I proceeded to Germany. I didn't even stay for too long. He is not an Alhaji. What would you say about that? Okay, was it in Dublin you got married? I don't want to talk about my marriage. He is not a public person, and he doesn't like publicity. Leave it at that. But you can see it was not an Alhaji I went to see. I have not discussed this with any journalist. If not that you asked, I wouldn't have said anything. You seem to clear all the scandals that surround you. Were you very disciplined before you got married? So you want me to tell you that I was not decent? If I ask you that question, wetin you go talk? But I was never like that because I came from a very disciplined home. My father happened to be a retired military officer. He was a disciplinarian to the core. He is into politics now. There is no way you will come under that man and not be disciplined. He raised me single-handed because my mum was not there for my sister and me. I am very glad that he is very proud of me because I turned out a good child, not like some wayward undisciplined child. Tell us about your growing up? It was tight. We lived from a timetable. There was time for everything, and we did everything religiously. My father made sure of that. There was time to sleep, time to wake, time to eat, to go to school and there was time to come back from school. He would look at the clock whenever we arrived from school. This is the simple truth. That was how my father raised us. There was no way we could go astray. He didn't give us any breathing space. He monitored our progress till we gained admission into the university. Did you like his approach as a daughter? I didn't. I didn't even like him so much then. I thought my father was too rigid and did not love us. It was much later in life that I got to understand how helpful his approach was to me. My kind of upbringing has been very helpful to me in this industry and even in my marriage. I was not around to congratulate you on the successful delivery of your second child. Yes. I received a lot of congratulatory messages from people, friends and well-wishers. I was very happy that people cared for us. I want to thank them sincerely. How is married life like? I don't want to talk about my marriage. I can only say I am happy. Your marriage must be very important to you? It's more than important to me. I love marriages. I am an advocate of successful marriages. I appreciate my man; I want to keep my home. Leave it like that. Does this feeling come from your experience in your former marriage? I don't have any former marriage. All I can say is that I have a marriage, I love my home and I am happy. You once said only God could keep a marriage. Is that absolutely true now that you are married? I don't think that is totally correct. God keeps a home. Yes, but we also have a role to place in a marriage. There are so many things we don't know before marriage. For instance, you don't expect things to remain the same way as your courting period. I got to learn that later. Marriage is another life's lesson entirely. You have to be tolerant, open, trustworthy and submissive. As a woman, you have to be submissive. All men are the same. An African man wants to be the head of a home. As a lady, no matter your role in the society, you have to give him that role. Respect and appreciate your husband. After God, your husband should be the next. He is your lord. Are you talking from experience? Experience is the best teacher. As I am, I can kneel down, crawl to beg my husband when I offend him. I make him understand he is still my lord. Is this nugget of wisdom coming from the fact that you fear another divorce? No. I do not pray for any break-up. I am doing it because that is what God wants us to do. This is both in the Bible and the Qur'an. A woman is to respect her husband. There is a general belief that female celebrities are always arrogant and stubborn in their marriages. Are we experiencing a factual turnaround? It's not the fact of being celebrities; I think it is how one was brought up. Most people who allow stardom to affect their character or marriages were not well brought up. If you think about how you were before money and power, you will not allow stardom to get into your head. There are those who came before you, who are no more and there are also those who came after you who are already out of the system. This should teach us gratitude, humility and respect to mankind irrespective of social status. No condition is permanent. How have you managed to remain so beautiful even in your 40s? People keep on asking that question, but believe me I don't know. Each time I look at myself in the mirror, I only thank God. I don't have a special diet. I don't have a special cream or exercise. I just do normal, everyday things. I don't have any special drug to keep fit. The only thing I take when I go through a lot of stress is Paracetamol. It is just wonderful to me. | Posted: 22 Apr 2014 04:45 AM PDT  It happened live on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 11am in St. John's Anglican Church, Oke-Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo in Ijebu-North local government area of Ogun State. Like a scene from a movie, ten gunmen invaded the house of God and snuffed life out of Chief Adetola Okuneye, a furniture maker. Chief Okuneye, a septuagenarian, was said to have just finished reading the Bible lesson for the day in church when the gun men stormed the church, headed to where he sat and shot him in the head in the presence of the pastor and members of the congregation. How heartless can men be: It was said that the late Chief Okuneye had metaphysical power, and that it was for this reason that the assailants waited for him to go to church after he would have removed the charms protecting him and their game plan worked out... According to Vanguard, it was revealed that the chief may have stepped on the toes of some powerful people who vowed to take his life. Security sources disclosed that the killing of a cult leader in Ijebu-North, simply identified as 'Ajango', in Oru, on March 30, led to the chief's assassination one week after. Okuneye was a furniture maker of 50 years experience who rose to become the Chairman of Cabinet Makers Association in Ijebu North and later Zonal Chairman, Ijebu Division and Vice-Chairman of the association between 1980 and 1990. It was learnt that after his retirement from furniture making, he became a community leader and was made the Chairman of the local security outfit otherwise known as vigilante in Oke-Sopen where he lived. He was also made the leader of the security group for Ijebu-Igbo after which he was promoted to be the overall Chairman of the vigilante in Ijebu North comprising Ijebu-Igbo, Ago-Iwoye among others. Soon after he became leader of the vigilante in the area, he focused more on Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago Iwoye, where he reportedly led an onslaught on cultists. When Governor Ibikunle Amosun became governor three years ago, he held meetings with Chief Okuneye on the insecurity in the area. The meeting led to 'Operation submit your guns and be pardoned' in Ijebu North. The governor gave hoodlums, reportedly equipped with guns by politicians during the 2011 elections, an ultimatum to hand over their guns and be pardoned or refuse and be arrested. At that period, Ijebu-Igbo had become a haven for criminals to the extent that for close to one year, no bank opened to customers because of incessant attacks. It was learnt that the governor subsequently made the septuagenarian his informant in the axis. Further investigation revealed that Ijebu-North had been without a paramount ruler since 26 years ago when the last Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo joined his ancestors. The other first class Obas in different sections of Ijebu were said to have been concerned about security in their domains only. Vanguard gathered that the vacuum made Ijebu North prone to crime. Some residents said cultism reduced in the area as a result of the efforts of Chief Okuneye. According to a resident, the vigilante outfit leader successfully flushed cultists out of the area including OOU. He also 'punished' landlords that harboured cultists in their houses. Vanguard, however, learnt that the last straw that broke the camel's back was the death of one of the leaders of the cult groups in the area in the hands of Chief Okuneye's vigilante outfit. "He incurred the wrath of the 'big boys' in the area following his role in the killing of the notorious guy, Ajango, at Oru about a week before he died. Consequent upon Ajango's death, his boys reportedly began to trail the vigilant outfit's leader. They made attempt on his life four times. He was said to have been shot at close range on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but he escaped before they got him in church that Sunday", a source who was close to the deceased told Vanguard. "His blood littered the floor and all of us including our pastor lay face-down while the attack lasted," he said. A top government source said: "This was a man who did his best on security of lives and property as a way of serving humanity. | 60 Robbers raid 8 busy streets in Mushin, Lagos for 7hours! R*pes, Destroys, Burns Vehicles Posted: 22 Apr 2014 03:05 AM PDT  There were fears and tension in the Mushin area of Lagos State on Monday morning after about 60 robbers operated on no fewer than eight streets and destroyed about 30 vehicles. PUNCH reports that the robbers also r*ped some young ladies and operated unchallenged for about seven hours. The hoodlums, who reportedly belonged to two cult groups – Akala boys and Toheeb's gang – ravaged New Balogun, Euba, Ayonuga, Tiamiyu, Haruna, Ereko, Oyedele streets and Coker Lane. A mosque on Coker Lane was not spared as the worshippers, who slept in the mosque after a vigil, were robbed by the hoodlums. One of the people in the mosque told PUNCH Metro that the robbers fired bullets for over one hour before robbing from house-to-house. He said, "It was around 12am on Monday morning that we started hearing gunshots. It lasted for about an hour. "Around 1am, they started going from house-to-house, robbing the occupants. They stole about seven laptops from the house opposite this mosque. They stole phones, money and everything they saw. They came inside the mosque and took our phones and money. People were crying throughout the night. It was terrible." Another witness said the robbers were not in a haste. He said they robbed till 5am and came back at 6am to continue before leaving around 7am. Our correspondent observed that a generator was also removed from its shed by the robbers. Vehicles parked on the streets were vandalised by the robbers, just as two Toyota Hilus van were burnt. Our correspondent counted 20 vehicles, but some residents said about 10 damaged cars had been taken away by their owners for repairs. Kasali Daramola, a driver who spoke while fighting back tears, told our correspondent he owned one of the burnt vehicles. He said, "This is the third time they will do this to me. What have I done to them? The first was a Lexus car my younger brother bought for me, which I was planning to sell to acquire a commercial bus to take care of my four kids and wife. I sold the scrap for N30, 000. I used the money I raised to get a bus and I was paying for it by installment. I have not finished the payment when they destroyed it." Daramola said the men entered his house and some of the ladies living there were r*ped. He said attempts to bring in the police were abortive as they kept saying they were on their way without showing up. A resident said, "For over five years now this area has not known peace. Will the police say they cannot do anything about it? Around 7am that policemen came here, they still saw some of those robbers around, but did not do anything. Why? I believe the police know all the people causing trouble here and if they want to do something, it doesn't take them anything." Tosin Gbolahan, a resident, said a policeman attached to Alakara Police Station was with the hoodlums on Monday morning. He said the hoodlums took advantage of a carnival that was held the previous night on Ojo Street to perpetrate the havoc.
