There are certain amounts that are just too much to give to another person in the name school fees for education. Below is the list of six (6) Most Expensive secondary Schools in Nigeria and their School Fees per year. Here is the list arranged from the six to the highest paying school. Please don't misunderstand this, it is NOT the sum of school fees of the entire students, it is just for a single students: 6. Dowen College, Lekki They charge N2,000,000 annually for a boarding student and N1,250,000 for a day student. 5. Chrisland College, Ikeja They charge as high as N2,000,000 annually. Fees can be paid annually or termly but on or before the first day of school. These include registration,tuition deposit,accommodation and feeding. 4. Mother stabs teacher to death in front of horrified pupils! Posted: 04 Jul 2014 10:04 AM PDT   A school teacher was stabbed to death by a pupil's mother in front of a classroom full of her horrified five and six-year-old students, today. The 47-year-old mother reportedly burst into the classroom and screamed 'I'm not a thief' before stabbing the teacher in the abdomen. She then attempted to escape but was caught around 20 minutes later close to the school grounds. The horrific attack happened on the last day of the school term at the Edouard Herriot school in the town of of Albi in south west France. The attack took place around 9am at the school in the Lapanouse area of the town which has 284 pupils aged from three to 11. The Moroccan-born woman, who holds Spanish nationality, has a police record for child neglect and not reporting a runaway child, French radio reported. She is currently in custody, where she is likely to remain until a criminal trial sometime next year, when she will face up to 30 years in prison if convicted of murder. France's Education Minister Benoit Hamon said the whole of France was 'deeply shocked' by a crime which came at the end of the school year. Nigerian army blames this morning's attack at Palmgrove on area boys! Posted: 04 Jul 2014 10:05 AM PDT   The Nigerian Army has denied the involvement of its men in the vandalism and burning of some BRT buses this morning at Palmgrove, Ikorodu road. Speaking with PremiumTimes, the Nigerian Army spokesperson, Olajide Olaleye, blamed area boys for the attack. "It's not true that the soldiers destroyed buses or set any bus on fire. What happened was that a BRT bus knocked down a soldier and killed him. As usual in Lagos, area boys gathered and a few soldiers stopped at the scene as well. The GOC has dispatched military policemen to the scene to help restore law and order," Mr. Olaleye said. Blaming it on the area boys when there are photo evidence Where 6 BRT buses and 3 other cars were burnt after the soldier's rampage this morning.... Nigerian Troops arrest 3 female undercover operatives of Boko Haram! [Photos] Posted: 04 Jul 2014 08:58 AM PDT   The Nigerian army have released a statement stating that they have arrested 3 women who worked as undercover operatives for Boko Haram.  Read the statement below... In the aftermath of the failed suicide bombing attempt on a military facility by a female terrorist who blew herself up in Gombe recently, troops have arrested three suspected female terrorists who have been secretly recruiting ladies into the female wing of the terrorists group. The suspects, Hafsat Usman Bako, Zainab Idris and Aisha Abubakar were intercepted while travelling to Madagali from where they were to transit to the forest to reunite with their cohorts. Investigations revealed that the suspects, led by Hafsat Bako, have the mission to recruit members into the female wing as well as conduct espionage for the group. Hafsat's link with the terrorists group had earlier been a subject of investigation in 2012, when security agents on a manhunt for one Usman Bako, her husband who was identified as a terrorist, stormed their residence in Jimeta.  This resulted in the discovery of an AK 47 rifle and 2 loaded magazines.   Though Usman Bako later died in an encounter with troops in Sokoto where he had relocated to continue his terrorist activities, Hafsat continued with the terror group specializing in surreptitious recruitment of members into their fold. The arrested trio suspects were luring ladies especially widows and young girls by enticing them with male suitors who are mainly members of their terror group for marriage. Apryl Brown, from Los Angeles, lost her hands and feet and nearly her life after a silicone filler procedure went horribly wrong. The mother of two was a successful hair stylist who owned her own salon, but had always wanted to fix what she saw as her 'flaw' – her flat bottom but instead of getting the big, curvy b*tt, she ended up losing the little one she had. Since recovering from the horrific ordeal the 47-year-old has devoted much of her time to speaking out and encouraging others to think twice about what they let someone inject in their bodies and seek out skilled professionals.  Her problems began in 2005 when a woman claiming she could provide b*ttock injections walked into her salon. Instead of telling her to leave, Apryl, who says she always wanted bigger b*ttocks, was thrilled and immediately agreed to have the treatment. At first, everything seemed fine but just months after having the injections, the pain began. 'My b*ttocks started to get hard, and then they started to get discoloured,' she explains. 'By 2006, it was starting to itch and by 2007, the pain started. She had sleepless nights, she couldn't eat, or even concentrate.   'I literally scratched all of the skin off my b*ttocks. My nails pulled all of the skin off my body. And when my sister came in, and she saw that, it freaked her out.'   Apryl was rushed to hospital, where surgeons discovered that a massive infection caused by the impure silicone had caused her body to go into severe shock. 'The only end point on silicone injections is removal,' explains the doctor who saved Apryl's life, James Jens Black. Removal when it's not infected or removal when it is infected and about to kill you.' After a month in a coma, Apryl awoke to a very different world. The drugs that saved Apryl's life had diverted blood flow to her essential organs, keeping her heart beating and liver functioning as her body fought off the infection. But her hands and feet, starved of oxygen while the drugs did their work, had died. Along with her b*ttocks, too damaged and infected from the injections to remain, her hands and feet had to be amputated. Ongoing Doctors’ Strike: 'Help, We’re dying' Patients cry out! Posted: 04 Jul 2014 06:53 AM PDT   Three days into the ongoing strike by public sector doctors, patients abandoned in hospitals nationwide, yesterday, cried out that they were dying slowly, and prayed for God's intervention to settle the rift between the government and the striking doctors. While Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State appealed to the doctors to stop using strike as a means of fighting for their demands in the interest of innocent Nigerians, the doctors on their part accussed government of playing hide-and-seek with them. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has mandated its Committee on Health to urgently engage the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, and Ministry of Health with a view to bringing the ongoing industrial action to an end. Vanguard visited public hospitals in Lagos. From Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH; General Hospital, Gbagada; Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta, to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, were lamentations as patients, who refused to relocate, have been abandoned to their fate. New patients were denied admission, while elderly ones who refused to leave were offered skeletal services by nurses and other health workers not affected by the strike. Seeking divine intervention Some of the patients were seen praying for God's intervention. At the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, patients stood in front of Accident and Emergency Unit, praying to God to touch the heart of both government and the striking doctors. One said: "Our God in heaven, listen to our cry and come to our aid. Arrest the heart of doctors and government to end the strike. We are dying slowly on daily basis." At other wards, some patients that spoke to Vanguard insisted that whether the strike continued or not, they had nowhere else to seek medical attention. They claimed their medical needs were peculiar and could not easily be handled at private hospitals. One of them, who identified himself as Clement Odia, and had been on admission since January, said he was not in a hurry to relocate to any private hospital for financial reason. 'Am going nowhere' He said: "I came here since January because of my broken hand. You do not expect me to leave now because I am almost healed. If I have to go to private clinic, where is the money? Also, they may not be able to take care of my situation, so I am staying here." Another patient, who spoke on condition of anonymity, accused doctors of aggravating his pain. National Conference: Confab Endorses Creation Of Aba, Ijebu, 17 Other States, Also Wants Presidency Rotated Posted: 04 Jul 2014 02:08 AM PDT   The National Conference on Thursday voted for the creation of 18 more states in the country. The creation of new states was one of the decisions taken by the delegates at their plenary while considering the report of the Committee on Political Restructuring and Forms of Government. Apart from the 18 new states proposed, the conference said a separate state-yet-to-be named should be carved out of the South-East to bring the number of the states in the zone to six. In creating a new state from the South-East geopolitical zone, the conference said the creation would correct the imbalance of the zone having the least number of states. In the existing 36 states arrangement, each zone has six states with only the North-West having seven states. The new states proposed by the conference are: Aba, to be carved out of the present Abia State; Katagum, from Bauchi State; Ijebu, from Ogun State; Amana, from former Sardauna Province; Apa, from Benue State; Anioma, from Delta State, Savannah, from Borno State; and Etiti, from South-East. Others are Njaba/Anim, from Anambra and Imo states; Gurara, from Kaduna State; Ghari, from Kano State; Adada, New Oyo from Oyo State; Orachi, from Rivers State; Ogoja, from Cross River State; and Kainji, from Kebbi and Niger states. Two other states, one each from the South-East and South-West zones, are also yet to be named. It was agreed by the delegates that the 18 new states would be shared among the six zones in a manner that no zone would have more states than the other. Though it was also agreed that states were free to have their constitutions, the request to change the name of Adamawa State to Gongola State was overwhelmingly rejected by the delegates. The delegates also voted that the Presidency should rotate among the six geopolitical zones of the country. However, a delegate, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, condemned the decision to create more states. He said the action was at variance with the decisions and resolutions earlier taken by the conference on the need by government to cut cost. "Having regard to the several resolutions of the National Conference on the need to reduce the cost of governance, I found the recommendation for the creation of additional 18 states rather contradictory," Falana said. Nigerian Big Boy jailed for 8yrs in the UK for scamming pensioners with fake lottery (See his lavish lifestyle) Posted: 04 Jul 2014 02:03 AM PDT     According To UK's Daily Mail Nigerian man named Frank Onyeachonam,  'Fizzy' because of his love of champagne has been jailed for eight years for conning vulnerable pensioners out of their life savings.  Frank Onyeachonam ran the UK end of global lottery scam that was orchestrated from his native Nigeria for seven years to fund his lavish millionaire's lifestyle.  It involved hundreds of perpetrators in several countries, detectives say. In the UK, 38-year-old Onyeachonam conned pensioners out of sums from £2,000 to £600,000, deliberately targeting his victims because they were potentially vulnerable to his tactics. Continue... While he bled them of their life savings, Onyeachonam enjoyed a life of fast cars, champagne and designer clothes. Pictures he posted on Facebook show he spent the cash on Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Armani designer clothes, Rolex watches, Porsches and Maseratis.  He even stuck wads of what look like £50 notes in his Buzz Lightyear toy.  Onyeachonam, of Canning Town, east London, was found guilty at the Old Bailey of conspiracy to defraud following a three-week trial. Lawrencia Emenyonu, 38, and Bernard Armah, 51, both of Wood Green, north London, were also found guilty of money laundering. All three denied the charges. Emenyonu was jailed for 18 months while her partner Armah received an eight-month term.  Judge Rebecca Poulet QC, said there had been 'some very serious outcomes' for the victims caught up in the scam. She told married father-of-two Onyeachonam: 'I judge your culpability to be very high. This was a very well thought out operation, sophisticated in both its planning and its operation. 'Mr Onyeachonam, you targeted these individuals because they were elderly and likely to agree and be tricked by this scam.' This was demonstrated in the fraudster's own notes in which he described them as 'crippled, old or poor', she said. You demonstrated the arrogance that you must have carried with you throughout this fraud by continuing after you knew that the police had raided your premises.' The ruse - known as an 'advance fee' fraud - saw Onyeachonam send victims emails claiming they had won millions of pounds on a non-existent Australian lottery and requesting a charge to release their winnings. But detectives believe this is the 'tip of the iceberg' with evidence suggesting there may have been as many as 400 victims and the sum may be as high as £30 million. Onyeachonam was seen as the key figure in the UK but police suspect a criminal network was in place in several countries around the world. Authorities found an alleged co-conspirator abroad had an email containing the details of more than 100,000 potential victims. Detectives believe this is the 'tip of the iceberg' with evidence suggesting there may have been as many as 400 victims and the sum may be as high as £30 million The defendant was thought to have started working on the scam almost immediately after he arrived in the UK from Nigeria in 2005, and was said to have carried on into 2012 while he was on bail following his arrest the year before. His crimes were uncovered in a three-year operation led by the National Crime Agency with assistance from the Postal Inspection Service and Internal Revenue Service in the US. When they raided his luxury apartment in Canary Wharf police discovered an 'Aladdin's cave' of evidence pointing to an advanced fee scam. Among 200 exhibits were notebooks containing the names, addresses, cash tallies and other personal details relating to 406 people. Police estimate that the fraud is likely to have run to at least £5 million and possibly as high as £30 million if all those in the notebooks suffered losses. Onyeachonam, at his London apartment in Canary Wharf, overlooking the Millennium Dome Partners in crime: Bernard Armah and Lawrencia Emenyonu who were jailed for their part in a scam involving fraudster Frank Onyeachonam Steve Brown, senior officer in the NCA's cyber crime unit, said the majority of Onyeachonam's victims were from America. He is thought to have selected his targets from a database known among fraudsters as a 'suckers list', which includes people who are believed to be susceptible to the tactics. Mr Brown said: 'Victims were sent an email from an alias used by Onyeachonam saying they had won an Australian lottery. They would be directed to ring him and he would say 'if you send me money I will then release your lottery funds'.' The lottery 'winnings' ranged from £2 million to £9 million and once they sent on cash victims were 'hooked' into the 'unrelenting' scam, he said. He added: 'Once they've got their claws into someone they won't stop. As long as they keep sending them money they will keep going until there's nothing left.' Onyeachonam, 38, of Canning Town, east London, was found guilty at the Old Bailey of conspiracy to defraud Using the alias Dr Jeff Lloyds, Onyeachonam built up a rapport with his victims and continued extracting money from some for as long as seven years. In order to make the required payments several victims took out high interest loans, forcing them to come out of retirement to repay the debts. Some of those exploited by Onyeachonam suffered the added trauma of falling under suspicion themselves as they were used as 'pawns' in the criminal network to launder the proceeds of the fraud by sending on money from other victims or setting up business accounts. Mr Brown said the scam had made a 'mental wreck' of victims, 'hammering' their life's savings, forcing them to lose their homes and leaving them isolated from their friends and families. Emails showed victims pleaded with Onyeachonam to send them money to pay for healthcare, while some died before he could be brought to justice. The British victim was left with debts of £90,000 and was forced to sell her home, move into rented accommodation and return to work in an attempt to stave off bankruptcy. An American victim lost her dream home and she no longer speaks to her sister or friend. She described how the scam made her feel like she had been 'raped over and over again'. While he left a trail of destitution and devastation in his wake, Onyeachonam enjoyed the high life from the fruits of his deception. Mr Brown said he lived a 'cash rich' lifestyle, earning the nickname 'Fizzy' for his taste for expensive champagne. Photographs show him surrounded by cash and bubbly in nightclubs. His car collection included Porsches and Maseratis while his Thames-side flat was full of luxury brands such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton when it was searched by police. Onyeachonam was the key figure as far as the 'UK nexus' was concerned but detectives believe this was part of an international enterprise. The alleged mastermind or 'chairman' of the network is based in Nigerian capital Lagos and he is currently under investigation by authorities there. Asked how many people were working on the global scam, Mr Brown said: 'Name a country and there seems to be a connection. It's been almost impossible for us to track everybody down. They've all got responsibility for their own country.' The prosecution has moved for a confiscation hearing for Onyeachonam.
