A Florida dad has beaten an 18-year old boy he found performing a sex act on his 11-year old son to a pulp and then calls 911 to send an ambulance, because he really needs one.

The man told the 911 dispatcher that he had beaten Raymond Frolander (pictured), who he found abusing his son at their Florida home, into a 'bloody puddle'. He added: 'He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said. I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn't kill him.'

Police arrived at his home and found Frolander, lying unconscious on the floor, before he was rushed to the hospital.

The father was not charged in the suspect's beating, after Frolander admitted the abuse. But the teen was charged with sexual battery on a child under 12 and is being held without bail.

I Want The World To Know The Truth; Fela Ex-Wife Reveals Shocking Details About Him

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 12:02 PM PDT

One of the wives of the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Laide Anikulapo-Kuti, Nee Babayale, has revealed some shocking details about the late legend. Though the interview was months back, I found it now and it's so revealing. If you haven't read it before, read it now. It was actually a video interview with Trumpet Media Group, but you can read the transcribed version after the cut.

How did you meet Fela?

I met Fela at a Sunday Jump in 1974. The shrine was opposite my house and some of my friends were selling things in front of the place, and we were just there doing our own thing, while Baba was inside doing his own thing as usual. It was the boys that made us know him well. They came to buy cigarettes from my friends, and wanted to take candy sweets for free, and I was a kind of person that would never allow anybody take me or the people around me for a ride. I protested, and the next thing I knew, was that a hot slap landed on the cheek of my friend selling the goods, and that's how we started fighting, that Fela had to come out. We narrated what happened to him, so Fela took the boy that slapped my friend inside and punished him. After that, Fela sent one of his drivers to me that if I'm chanced, I should come and see him.

Initially, I didn't want to go in, because my people must not see me in that kind of environment. I was 16 years old as at then but I had a big stature. When I got in, Fela said I should follow any of the cars to his house, but I didn't go. That was how I knew Fela liked me, and I liked him too, so every Sunday jump, I was always going there, well-dressed. Whenever he was going in, he always looked in our direction. However, to cut the long story short, we eventually began dating.

What was your parent's reaction when they knew you were in Kalakuta?

It was a tug-of war. My father never wanted it, because he thought people who were around Fela were hooligans, but it was a lie. Anybody who was a hooligan then was either a passer-by, or just a shrine-goer, and not part of Fela's inner caucus, because Fela never wanted trouble from any of his people. Fela fought with his music, but when people heard the lyrics of his songs, they thought he was a hooligan, which he was not. I was actually on break from school for two weeks when I decided to go and spend some time with Fela, but when I got there, I really enjoyed myself and didn't want to go back to school again though I was in Form Four then. My parents went looking for me in school, but the Reverend mothers and sisters there then said they didn't know my whereabouts even though all my properties were still in the hostel. They began searching everywhere, but they never thought I could be in Fela's place. It was actually Fela's friend, who happened to be my in-law, Uncle Tayo Mott, that informed my parents that I was with Fela. He was a very close friend to Fela and was also his DJ.

What were the actions your father took?

He was always coming to harass us wherever we went. He would send boys from Shitta, Surulere, to bundle me up wherever I was, and they would carry me. My father was a prominent, well-known and outgoing person, so he knew people like King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, and IK Dairo very well, so he begged the three of them to go and plead with Fela to release his daughter. On that fateful day when they came, I was in Fela's room, and we had just finished doing our 'thing.' When Fela was informed that the three men were there to see him, he went out, and later sent for me that I should dress up and come out. When I went out, he sat me down, and asked me if I knew the three men, and I replied in the affirmative. He asked me if I knew why they were there, and I replied that I didn't, so he told me they were there because of me. I said why, and asked them if they knew me, but Fela calmed me down, that they were sent by my father to beg me to come back home. I then told them that there was nothing happening there that they didn't know about because they were also in the music industry. I told them I was enjoying Fela's music and didn't want to go home.

Can you recollect what happened when Kalakuta Republic was invaded?

It started like a joke, but quickly escalated into war. Some traffic police officers 'Yellow Fever' came and said they wanted to see the person who drove a Range Rover that was in the compound because it had even numbers on its license plate, even though it was odd numbers. The gateman then told them that he was not in the best position to answer them, because as someone that wasn't learned, he didn't know the difference between odd and even numbers. The gateman then went inside to inform Fela, and he told them that he wasn't coming out. The Yellow Fever officers then went and came back with some soldiers because we were very near Abati Barracks then. When Fela was informed that there were soldiers outside, he first went into his mother's room, because he never went out without seeing her. Beko was already in the clinic then, but when he saw what was going on, he also came into mama's room. Before we knew what was happening, the whole thing degenerated into chaos.

How did the issue of the mass marriage come about?

When Kalakuta Republic was invaded and we all had different injuries, mine was on my navel, and all the other women making jest of me that I would never have a baby, even though I was just about 20 years old then. I really wanted to have children because of the special treatment Fela gave his children. I then decided to look outside because Fela didn't want to have any more children then. He went to one Baba JK in Idi Oro in Mushin to make his sperm watery. He was always drinking African medicine there, and that was what neutralized his sperm. So many women were always getting pregnant for him that he was terminating about six different pregnancies per day. It was Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti that used to terminate it then. They're all dead now; me too, I'm going to die one day, but it's always good to put things right for the records. There was another girl then who I was close with, Adunni, so I told her that we should look for people who we would have children for. She had a baby for a taxi driver, while I had my baby for a journalist, Steve, with Punch Newspapers. He usually reported whatever activity Fela was involved in all round the world. He was the kind of person I needed at that time. There was a time we were in Ghana in Hotel Presidential, and that was the time I went in with him. Shortly after that, I started experiencing morning sickness, and when it was confirmed that I was pregnant, I was very happy.

Soon after that, Fela called me to go in with him, and I told him that I was pregnant. He said, 'What' and I repeated it. He came from the third floor to the first floor to Mama's room, and he told her, "Maami, you know what, Laide is pregnant.' Mama asked him who was responsible, and he told her he was the one to cover me up. Mama then said 'Fine' because she knew Fela liked me and I liked Fela. Mama never knew that I had intercourse with Steve, even though his room was directly opposite mama's own in Ghana. This is a true life story. I want you to bring it out and let people know.

After that time, Fela now called Steve and the press that 'these women have suffered a lot with me, so if anyone of them wants, they can marry me and be having children.' Steve said if that was what he wanted, then, no problem. So Fela put out a notebook and said that the people who want to marry him out of all the women in the shrine should put their names down. In all, we were 27 that wrote our names, and Fela told the rest that if they didn't write their names, he wouldn't sleep with them.

On the day of the wedding ceremony, Fela's best pal, Tunji Braithwaite, who was supposed to join us together, ran away from his chambers, saying that he had never seen such a thing before for a man to marry 27 women at the same time. He had thought it was a joke when Fela told him earlier. The following day, Fela called an Ifa priest and they came to join us together at Hotel Parisona in Anthony, Lagos.  Fela put money on everybody's heads and we collected our certificates of marriage to him.

Can you describe how it felt like being with him?

Fela was a true living legend. He was the one and only man that God put in our midst, but people never knew his worth until he was gone. Fela was always chewing music in his mouth whatever he was doing. Whether he was eating, driving, or with a woman in the room, he was always chewing music in his mouth with his pen and paper with him always. He was very good at writing in short-hand; in fact he was good at everything you can ever think of. There was nothing he did wrong; except you didn't know him. He was a messiah; if we had given him a chance, Nigeria would have changed, but people like Obasanjo never gave him a chance.

Whenever Fela wanted to make music, he sang about the things around him.

Talking about bedroom matters, how did Fela rotate between his numerous wives?

Fela always called his wives based on how he enjoyed them; if he did not enjoy you, he would not call you. Even after the marriage, it continued like that.

Trusted and Proved! 7 Important Ways To Keep Your Relationship Strong!

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 11:45 AM PDT

It is not hard to contemplate that a lot of effort is required to make a relationship work and last and anyone who has been a part of one will completely agree. Even though most people agree that they need to add a little special something, most people really do not actually know what that special something is.

There are plenty of things that a couple can do to strengthen their bond in ways unimaginable and all they need is some guidance. The purpose of that is exactly that, providing couples with some extremely important tips that will undoubtedly lead them down a road that depicts nothing but a prosperous and happy future with your current or future partner.

1. Hey honey how are you?
A tip that most couples overlook is calling your partner in the middle of the day to simply say hello. This is a great gesture that lets the other know the you are still thinking about them, regardless of the fact that you just met each other a couple of hours ago. Do not think of this as one of those calls that is making sure that you are actually, where you are supposed to be. One of the biggest problems with people is miscommunication and not understanding the real meaning behind certain behaviors. Therefore, it is vital that couples look at certain things positively and consider them nice gestures. Maybe you can even share a nice little laugh in between the short call, because we all know how important laughter can be for our health and relationship.

2. Communicate
While this may seem like a given, it's amazing to me how little time the average couples spends communicating. Of course there is the usual chit chat and "how was your day dear?" kind of banter but getting down to the heart of it, real communication means infinitely more. If there is something that has been bothering you or an area of the relationship that is making you unhappy, simply ignoring it isn't going to do the trick. Its best when the other person in the relationship knows these concerns so that you can work on a solution together and hopefully keep the situation from getting out of hand. Even if things are great in the relationship, spending quality time discussing more in depth topics is a way for you to channel and heighten your emotional intimacy.

3. Make Time For You
Too many times in relationships, couples forget that they need their own space and end up compromising their own interests which of course leads to unhappiness down the road. Of course there is that beginning "honeymoon phase" in any relationship where it seems that nothing else matters except for the other person but…hate to be the bearer of bad news…that part fades. But like everything else in life, change isn't always a bad thing. Relationships transition and once they do, you will find yourself missing the friends, hobbies and other activities that you may have momentarily cast aside. Rediscover these interests and a little space will not only improve your relationship but also allow you to enjoy the things that make you who you are!

4. Complement One Another
It doesn't matter if you have been together 10 weeks or 10 years, complements don't get old. It's all too easy to get drawn into that lull of "comfort" (which is a great place to be) but since you are not only best friends but lovers too, it's important to take the time to make each other feel special. While many of us are quick to point out flaws, we aren't as quick to dish out complements. Take time to tell you partner you appreciate them and help boost their strengths. Everyone enjoys feeling like they have been recognized for all the good they have done, whether this means making a wonderful romantic dinner or spending 30 extra minutes to get ready to go somewhere.

5. Get Somewhere Together
There is something magical about vacation. As kids we play in the sand, frolic in the waves and go to bed exhausted and happy. It's important to take time out from the stress of work or of raising a family and to reconnect in a new and exciting place. No matter what your budget, set money aside for a weekend getaway every now and then.

If a relationship consists of "all work and no play," it's one that will have a relatively short shelf life. Yes, we are creatures of habit but this doesn't mean we don't enjoy a break from the routine ever now and again!

6. Compromise
At last, the one thing that seems so simple but really is hard to master is the art of compromise. Nothing is harder than really believing you are right and having to give up at least part of your battle for the sake of the relationship. There is of course a time to stand up for what you believe in and accept no less than you deserve, but when it comes to maintaining a harmonious relationship, a little bit of compromise can go a long way.

7. A little compliment goes a long way
And lastly, don't be afraid to complement one another. People just don't understand how much even a silly little compliment can boost the morale of an individual. For example, tell your man how great his handyman skills are, even if they aren't, but make sure that you sound serious enough so that he doesn't think that you are ridiculing him.

Trust me, if you can make your man believe that he is unmatchable in handling that hammer or screwdriver he will not only always be willing to fix things around the house, but might actually turn into a real good handyman. These are three simple tips that most people don't pay attention to, but can make all the difference in strengthening a relationship.

'Why I’m going into politics' -Kennis St. Brown finally Reveals!

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 11:46 AM PDT

Kenny Saint-BrownToday, she is one of the artistes responsible for putting gospel music into the mainstream Nigerian music industry. Interestingly, KSB as she's popularly called by her fans is stepping out for good. She has declared her intention to go into politics.
In this interview with Showtime Celebrity, the 2010 recipient of Soundcity Music Video Awards for Best Gospel video, explains why she wants to vie for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly come 2015 and many more…

You said that you are re-channelling all your energies into re-orientating the minds of young Nigerians which are your target audience. How do you intend to accomplish this goal?

I'm still looking at my area of calling which is youth development. I have been involved in youth development programmes in the last 16 years, using our company, Kenny's Music as a platform.
We have helped in pioneering not just a record label, but a company which has been able to discover raw talents as it developed them to become international acts.
The likes of Tu-face Idibia, Paul Play Dairo to mention but a few are products of Kenny's Music. We have discovered over fifty artistes and most of these artistes we made them household names. We urged them to go and convert their brands into something else that can generate wealth for them even after they have stopped doing music.
Particularly, I have the ability to discover as well as ascertain how to divert the energies of our youths, especially in the area of entertainment. Since it has added to the GDP of the country.
What am I saying, if you have the kind of rescources that have been pumped into sports development over the years, if only 10 percent of such rescources have been pumped into the entertainment industry, things would have been different in this country.
Talking about Nigerian football for instance, the various teams we have like the Super Eagles, Under 23, Under 20, Under 17, Under 13 and before you know, we are going to have also Under 5. This indicates a system that encourages discovering of young footballers.
The likes of Odegbami, Nduka Ugbade, Jay Jay Okocha and the Kanu Nwankwos were discovered young, before they became international soccer stars. They made mega millions in pounds Sterling, but the British government did not fail to tax them heavily.
So, if 10 percent of what we have been spending on sports were channelled into entertainment you would be sure that Nigeria would become the centre of global entertainment. At the moment, we don't have such funds in the entertainment industry.
Yet, we have world class entertainers as we are also adding to the GDP of the nation. Don't you think, it's high time we begin to put structures in place.
Let's start from the grassroots by encouraging youth development. It's obvious now that becoming a graduate does not make one useful. Before now, they used to say that if you don't have anything you cannot become an artist.
But today, the story has changed. One does not need to be a rich man before becoming an artiste. Look at what MTV is doing in Africa today because of the talents that abound in Nigeria.
The truth is that there are lots of talented youths out there that don't have the platform to showcase their talents. Oftentimes, either in the Church, or where I'm shopping, I have had to contend with these young talents who would want to give me their CDs and urged me to listen to their works so that I can help promote them.
There are so many of them like that but after listening to them what's the next thing to do? They cannot afford to pay for air time. In most cases, I have sent so many of them to my brother, Baba Keke.
But it got to a point where Keke called me and said, they are too many. How many of them would I send to radio stations or individuals for assistance? But the money we need to develop these talents is in the hands of the government.
So, how do you intend to help in the area of putting the structures in place?
I can't work for government at the moment. So, I have to join a political party to let them know what I can do to help the youths.
On which platform are you coming out?
I am contesting under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC. I have been registered with APC, I'm in ward 4, ward D of Onigbongbo Local Government of Lagos. I'm very active in my ward as well as in my local government.
You are vying for what political office?
I want to contest for the membership of Lagos State House of Assembly.
What made you think that you can achieve all these goals?
Because it's the legislative arm of government that make bills and laws. And Lagos State is the hub of entertainment; it's the cosmopolitan city of Nigeria.
It took someone that has an insight into what LAWMA could do and he got into the government and said hey, we can do this! Till date, I still marvel at what LAWMA is doing in Lagos.
The workers keep the streets of Lagos clean. It's same way I want to become a law maker starting with Lagos State House of Assembly. It is the youth all over the world that my heart is crying for.
Where is your constituency?
Onigbongbo Local Government in Ikeja, Lagos State is my constituency. And guess what! This is the hub of prostitution in Lagos State; Allen Avenue Junction, Opebi road and Doyin.
Why do you think that you are the right candidate to represent your people?
Actually, I have been a youth coach. Few weeks ago, I was at university of Lagos to deliver a lecture on "From Passion to Profession", which was organised by the Lagos State government.
I was assisting the Senior Assistant to the Lagos State governor, Mr. Akim Animashaun. Recently too, we were at the College of Education, Akoka, where I taught the students on how to regenerate opportunities.
You said that you have been very active in you ward and local government. How active are you in your ward?
About 4-5 years ago, I was the face of education in my local government, the entertainer, as well as the ambassador of change leading the upgrading of public schools to meet up with the standard of that of private schools in my local government.
But until recently, the number of prostitutes on Opebi -Allen axis in the last ten months have increased to over 200 percent. This burden became so heavy in my heart.
You would see a beautiful young girl looking decent in the day time, while in the night, you would see same girl looking half-naked and you'd wonder what has happened to her over night? Isn't somebody going to show them love and I just can't fold my arms any more and watch things go wrong in our society.
There's fire on the mounting, let's be honest, see what corruption has done to us; see what happens when budget is not meeting project. …So, it's high time we do something.

To be able to achieve your dreams, you need funds. How prepared are you to play the game of politics?
Well, why should I see problems and not see reasons I should be in the House of Assembly. Where there's a will, there is a way. Because there is a will for me to help in the area of youth development in Lagos State, there will be a way out to achieve this goal.

Do you think it's only by becoming a law maker that this particular project can be achieved?
Tell me which other way you can use government money, if democracy is government of the people by the people and for the people, how will the people benefit from the funds belonging to them? Tell me if there's any other way because if I start an NGO now, you know how people have bastardized NGO's. You should know that am not hungry. I told someone recently that everything that people have on their lips as prayer points, God has blessed me with. Tell me what is the prayer point now, if I have two cars, is it not only one car that I will drive? If I have a whole house, is it not one bed that I will sleep on? God has blessed me with a son and daughter. I have three degrees and I'm the CEO of my company, KSB International Consulting Company. I'm the vice president of Kennis Music. So, if people want to be famous thank God, I am famous at least for the last 16 years. I have become a household name. So, you can see that I'm a proud beneficiary of these factors in Nigeria. These are some of the benefits that Nigeria has offered me and it's time for me to help government to transform the country.

Why did you choose APC as your party?
If you see what APC as a party has done in the states where they are controlling, you would be amazed. If you are familiar with how beautiful Lagos State is at the moment, then take a ride to Ogun State where APC is currently in control, and see the massive change that has taken place there. May be, you need to travel to Ibadan, Oyo State and behold the massive changes that have taken place in the city of Ibadan. Or better still, you travel to Osun State and behold what Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is doing in that state. APC signature is change; especially in the south-west. They have done so well in propagating change not just in the environment but also, in education, infrastructure, health, efficiency and many others. So, they are the team I want to work with for now.

What kind of change would you bring about when you eventually become a law maker in Lagos State?
Now, we are talking about funding, revenue and expenditure. You can't take it away from the fact that Lagos State has about 57 LCDs and the federal government is funding only 27, according to their records. I am not trying to speak for governor Fashola right now, but the truth is that there is so much demand in respect of the amount of money the state is getting from the federation account. I am saying it would get to a point where the federal government would be able to recognise the great work that the Lagos State government is doing with the LCDA that they are not funding. The state government is using the little amount it's generating internally to fund the other Local Governments.

Being a celebrated music star, are you going to dump music for politics?
I can't stop singing. Singing is my nature, music is my life. Give me a stage now and I will kill the stage,. I will get you up and get you dancing. It's a ministry; I am actually the youth pastor in my church, and every Sunday morning, I'm there. I am a professional person, I can't say because of this I can't do that. I'm never an idle person and again, I easily get bored doing one thing.
According to Karl Max, "religion is the opium of the people."

WOW! West Brom sign Nigerian Star Player Brown Ideye for a club record N2.7Billion

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 05:20 AM PDT

ideyee

The Dynamo Kiev player held talks with the Baggies yesterday (Fri) and has sealed a deal worth an initial £9m with a further £1m to come in add-ons.

He has penned a three-year deal with a further year's option if the Baggies still want him.

Head coach Alan Irvine said: "Brown is a quality striker and I'm looking forward to working with him.
"He's a strong, quick, powerful player who likes to get in behind defences and has plenty of Champions League and international experience."

Ideye has scored 33 goals in 74 for matches for the Ukrainian side and other former sides include Sochaux in France and Neuchatel Xamax in Switzerland.
Capped 23 times by the Super Eagles with five goals, he was part of Nigeria's African Nations-winning squad last year but did not travel to Brazil for the World Cup.
The fee will eclipse the £6m spent on Stephane Sessegnon last year in what is a statement of intent from the Midlands club after their narrow escape from relegation.
Ideye will link up with his new team mates when they return from their pre-season training camp in the United States.
Meanwhile, the Baggies have also agreed a fee with Derby for wantaway midfielder George Thorne believed to be in the region of £2m.
The Baggies had already knocked back two bids for the 21-year-old.
The midfielder starred for the Rams while on loan last season and recently had a transfer request turned down by Albion.

Why I Want To Go Into Politics – Desmond Elliot Finally Reveals

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 05:23 AM PDT

speaks exclusively with Tribune,  on his career, controversies, style and other issues. Excerpts:
Desmond Elliot rings a bell now, briefly recall how it began?I grew up in Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria. Jos  was a peaceful, wonderful and beautiful place. The environment was just conducive to producing  a lot of entertainers for Nigeria.
You sound rather romantic about Jos, what do you miss about Jos?I miss the cold weather, the peace of the old serene atmosphere, Jos was just  homely
As an entertainer, what do you wish you could go back to do in Jos, the city you love dearly?I want to do a film there because the climate is very good for film  production, there would be very good pictures from the rocks on the hills, I just hope peace would be restored there so as to encourage people to come and invest.
We learnt that you want to delve into politics. What experience have you to make a difference on the  state of the nation? The current situation is very pathetic. I feel God has helped me thus far  and I want to give back  through politics that  will be favourable to the youths. The worst part of our national life  is that the level of corruption has not allowed youths to understand what it means to live a meaningful life . Just because of lack of knowledge of what to do, we are being sidetracked. There are no jobs, and issues like these lead to frustration.
A whole lot needs to be done on agriculture, every state in Nigeria needs to see how it can contribute to nation building. There's a lot that needs to be done.
What accessories can't you do without?I think I can't go out without a wristwatch
What's your notion on tattoosI wouldn't wear one, but I have no problems with anyone wearing one
In a few years , what do you want to be remembered for?It would be basically about giving back. I want to be known as a man who gave back to his society
There was this story about you dating two blood sisters, what was it about?I don't know. It was baseless. The ladies in question are my wards and I take care of them.
Are you blood relation with them?Do I have to be related to them by blood?  We are family friends and we have been family friends for years. Their parents  are abroad  and whenever they are in Nigeria, they stay with me, so it was a baseless distraction and the person who did the article about me has since apologised.
There was also a death rumour about you last year, what happened? It was actually a movie I did, which would be released later this year. I had to get the person who did the story and asked for his reasons.
How  do you cope with negative press?I have come to understand that there is no way rumours won't crop up. I have been in this field for the past 15years and there is no way one can be without one word or the other, people will definitely say things about you whether they are true or not.
After the hustle and bustle, how do you treat yourselfI just take a vacation and relax for a few days.

"I’m the next big thing after Bob Marley"I’m very positive about that -Patoranking

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 04:13 AM PDT

In a new interview with Nigerian Tribune,he says he is the next big thing after Bob Marley..Now that's confidence
I really love and respect Bob Marley and like I said on my twitter handle, I'm the next big thing after Bob Marley…I'm very positive about that. If you watch the video for 'Alubarika' closely, you'd see Bob Marley's picture in it.
People tell me that a lot. A lot of people look at me and say 'Boy, you are the next big thing after Bob Marley.' It is not something I came up with, so I just had to claim it by faith.

Too Bad! Man kills sister after dispute over plot of land in Lagos (Photo)

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 03:42 AM PDT

A member of the Eiye Confraternity and Jehovah's Witness, Adeola Omotayo, 28, has killed his sister, Omotayo Rukayat Adedapo, 30, after a minor disagreement over a plot of land.

The incident happened at Rukayat's residence, 22, Pasoku Street, Aga area of Ikorodu, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Rukayat was murdered in her room by her brother, who sells building materials at Sawmill in Itamaga, on Monday at about 6 p.m., after they had an argument over the ownership of the piece of land.

P.M. News gathered that the night before the murder, Adeola and his wife had visited Rukayat and eaten in her house.

Friends of the deceased said Adeola only visited to know where his sister stays since they had not been talking to each other in the last two years.

Rukayat was later found dead by her fiancé on Tuesday 15 July, at about 8:30 p.m.

A resident of the street who pleaded anonymity said she was found dead by her boyfriend when he came visiting after trying to reach her to no avail.

"We got to know of her death Tuesday night, over 24 hours after she was murdered. Her boyfriend only came to visit her on his way back from work when he found her dead and raised the alarm," she told P.M.NEWS Friday morning.

After his arrest and interrogation by the police, Adeola said that he did not kill his sister intentionally.

"I didn't have the intention of killing her, she was my sister. If I wanted to kill her, I wouldn't leave the knife at the scene and I would wear a glove to prevent my finger prints. The incident happened when we were dragging," he confessed.

Adeola said the news that he killed his sister along with his cult members is not true because he has renounced his cult membership and is now a member of Jehovah's Witness. Investigation by P.M.NEWS revealed that his church is also at Itamaga, Ikorodu.

Rukayat's younger brother, Abideen Omotayo, said he did not believe Adeola killed their sister alone and would want the police to further investigate the matter.

"I have an inkling he did not kill our sister alone. He used to be a member of Eiye Confraternity when he was studying at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, but was expelled around 2008 because of his involvement in cultism," Abideen said.

A source at the Igbogbo Divisional Police Station, who did not want his name mentioned, said the case would be transferred to SCID, Panti, Yaba, Friday for further investigation.

OMG! 9 yr old boy renews marital vows with his 62 year old wife (Photo + Video)

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 03:42 AM PDT

 9 Year Old Remarries - July - BN News - BellaNaija.com 01

9 Year Old Remarries - July - BN News - BellaNaija.com 02
In 2013, a certain 8-year-old South African school boy made headlines for marrying a 61 year old South African woman to "make ancestors happy".

The boy – now 9 years old – Saneie Masilela is the world's youngest groom for the second time after remarrying the 62-year-old woman he married last year.
Although other villagers and onlookers describe the nuptials as "sickening", the young groom dressed in a silver tuxedo says he did it again to make the marriage "official".

No minding the 53-year-age gap, they repeated their vows a year later in front of 100 guests. His bride Helen Shabangu is a mother of 5, with children aged between 28 and 38 years old.

Both families claim the wedding is a simply "ritual" after the young school boy was told by his dead ancestors to wed last year.
The boy however hopes he would have a proper wedding to a woman his age in the future.
"I told my mother that I wanted to get married because I really did want to.
I'm happy that I married Helen – but I will go to school and study hard.
When I'm older I will marry a lady my own age. I chose Helen because I love her and, although we don't live together all the time, we meet at the dumping site where my mother works regularly."
Helen also told reporters that she is excited that Saneie chose her. "One day Sanele would grow normally and have family of his own and get married one day, all this ceremony is for making ancestors happy. We are playing." she said.
The young boy's mother is also fine with the wedding, telling journalists;
"He was just happy to get married, very excited and was not embarrassed about it. So much so he wanted to do it again.
After the wedding last year people keep asking them question like will they live together, sleep together, have babies but I keep telling them that after the wedding everything went back to normal – nothing changed.
Sanele moved to Venda not long after the wedding because he wanted to learn a new language, but they are very close. Our families are very close.
It was nice celebrate with a wedding once more, it was after all a calling from the ancestors.
By doing this we made the ancestors happy. If we hadn't done what my son had asked then something bad would have happened in the family."

See How Edwin Igbokwe kept his late wife’s corpse in a room for three months hoping she would wake up (Photo)

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 02:56 AM PDT

Edwin-and-Christy-360x225

The late singer's husband in an interview with PUNCH, opened up on his grief and denial following the death of his wife, Christy Essien Igbokwe, three years ago.

He further revealed how he wooed and married her, the health challenges she encountered before her death, the many visions prophets saw concerning them and why he remarried.
Read his touching but long narration below:

"Thirty five years ago, I married my soul mate and lifetime partner. She was Nigeria's lady of songs, the late Christy Essien Igbokwe. I was a 26-year-old executive at The Punch while she was a 19-year-old songstress and actress that mesmerised Nigeria's entertainment and theatre scenes with her young, affable innocence. Through those years, we celebrated togetherness and profound love, a love I felt the first time I blessed my eyes on her; a love that grew stronger each sunrise, until 9a.m, June 30, 2011. With each day's sunset, our love blossomed, like flowers bloomed in spring. We stayed as one through the challenges of life. There were years of aches and pains, tears of joy and electrifying laughter. We stayed together and survived the rough and tumbles of life. We shared everything until it was time for her to go. She lived half a century.
"As I walked down Jebose Boulevard, I tried to accept and appreciate all that life privileged after her eternal transition. It is over three years since Christy died. The denials, the depressions, forward from her death are paths to healing. I missed and mourned her tenderly. Time and support from friends and family were therapies to a second chance at life, living and loving. No one understands the discomfort and trauma of losing a dear family member such as your siblings, your parents or wife, a dearest lifetime partner; (the cherished one you swore before God and the people to love till death do us part), until it happened to them: We are never the same when we lose those that we loved and admired. A part of us leaves with them. Every one of us would come to that place in our lifetime; what matters is how we handled our different circumstances and who would be there to comfort us as we grieved. The mourning season may never end. I can imagine days of guilt, days of tear drops on the pillows and silent wails for losing my dearest wife. The pain is part of passionate memories, of a privileged, shared moment in our lives. These walks with you, Jebose, ignited emotional past pains of losing my late wife and a closure of tragic and traumatic chapters of my life.
Christy was special and spectacular. She was a prophet. She revealed when she would die to the children and by extension, to me: she revealed to us that she had only half a century in this 'wicked world;' she told me that when death came, it would be middle of the year. She shared with close friends and members of the family, her end time. I always dismissed her because I was not ready to lose her. She told our children that she would live for 50 years and that any single day thereafter, they should be thanking God. She died June 30, 2011 at age 50.
During one of our affectionate conversations, she told me she would be sick for three days before her death. She said she would exit without burden to anyone or herself. I didn't believe, until it happened: four days before her death, she complained of stomach ache. We went to the hospital for scanning and treatment: the hospital placed her on overnight admission and began treatment, but she wanted to go home. Her desire to go home was bolstered by hospital's electric power interruption. The hospital's generator was also broken down. She said rather weakly, that she wanted to go home since the hospital had no electricity. I honoured her request. We left the hospital for our home. Halfway into our street, the doctor called and informed me that the generator suddenly activated, surprisingly nothing was wrong with it, we could return to continue treatment; we were almost home, my wife said she didn't want to go back to the hospital.
"The next day, the illness continued at home. She refused to go back to the hospital: the doctor came to the house and placed her on a drip. Even though she was weak, she was active and independent; she refused any assistance; not even a support on the staircase and into the car, as we set out for hospital again, having encouraged her to return to a different hospital for re-examination. I drove her into the waiting arms of doctors who further examined my late wife in a specialist hospital (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja).
She was placed on admission. She was seeing things and in her own world, as she lay ill, she was concerned about the staff and other patients in the hospital. She was kept overnight because of the diagnosis. The second night, she requested prayer warriors to begin intense prayers, not for her but for us, the living, and for her peaceful transition. She encouraged nurses in the hospital to pray: she would whisper prayer points and choruses. She muttered some messages to our God-son, George, who was with me in the hospital. We went into frenzy shouting for joy when she mentioned that 'we were victorious and it was all over.' By 5.30am June 30, 2011, we witnessed deteriorating changes in her health. I phoned Obi, our first son, and he quickly arrived at the hospital to assist. I dashed out to seek a transfer for her to another (the intensive care) room in the hospital. I left Obi and George with pastors and prayer warriors who arrived to pray with us. Something happened while I was gone. The mood changed when I returned. I smelt sadness from the travelling breeze within. The mood was solemn. I saw the sad faces of hospital staff and my son: I felt strange.
Everyone from the doctors tried to find a way to tell me she had died… One of the midwives called me to the side and said I should brace up because my wife died few minutes then. That morning of her death, pastors and other prayer warriors ended morning prayer in her room; she whispered amen, and then slept off. It was exactly 9a.m. I felt dazed, shocked and awed when I was told I lost my 'everything,' my companion and the love of my life. Jebose, I caved into denial zone. We immediately moved her body to a room in our home, unknown to many. My late wife warned that her body must not be deposited in the mortuary. I had to respect her wishes. So we decorated a room in our house and laid her down. She was beautiful, peaceful in her sleep. The media and the enlarged burial committee members didn't know where she was after her death. She lay in that room for almost three months. I was going crazy. I didn't want to believe she would not wake up. She was smiling peacefully. I couldn't believe it. I made sure I looked at her every day. I was confused, depressed, dejected and hopeless. The children began to monitor me. I was still in denial, hoping she was asleep… she would wake up. I kept reassuring myself. She never did.
"I finally accepted her death when the pallbearers came into that room and placed her in a coffin for the Commendation Service at Arch Bishop Vining Memorial Cathedral, Ikeja on September 9, 2011 and from there later through the Muritala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja to Akanu Ibiam, Enugu airport en route Awka, Anambra State for funeral service and burial the next day. I knew then, that my best friend, my partner, my soul mate, the mother of my beautiful children, was truly gone.
"After the burial, I was alone and lonely, I felt guilty for her death. I never expected to bury my wife. I always prayed that when my time was up, she, our children and grandchildren would bury me. I began to question God in these transitional periods: I was near complete depression because life was no longer interesting to me: I was lonely and mourning my wife. I was empty. I told everyone that I would never remarry because no woman could replace my late wife. I was suicidal.
After her burial, the pain continued as life began to settle into normalcy, I began to see her in my dreams, encouraging me to live my life. She said she knew if I had the privilege of spending more time with her, I would have corrected certain things in our lives. She said I must move on with my life. Throughout our 32 years, we shared everything: we never separated from the same bedroom. The only time we separated was when we kept her body in a separate room while planning her funeral. Counselling from well-wishers helped me to begin to accept a life without her.
"Her appearances in my dreams encouraged me to move on. In one of such appearances, she told me: "I came and I have fulfilled my destiny on earth. I wished I stayed longer but that was my destiny and God's words must surely come to pass in our lives. I am not coming again. I am happy where I am. It is well with all of you! Please I want to be remembered always in happiness. Stop getting worried any longer because you do most times. You cry often for missing me and wished that I lived so that you make some amends. It is too late now. You should move on. Your focus should be how to live long for our kids. Advise them properly and correct them positively whenever they go wrong, for their own good. Take good care of them and their offsprings as long as you witness and always bless and not curse any of them. (She smiled…..) I never cursed any of them. I only tried to make them look forward to being independent as my last days on earth approached. Because you need to live long for the kids, you can remarry instead of running into some temptations that are building up. Pray hard. God will show you the right person. The person should not be very young. She must be older than our first kid. She must be able to stand in for the sake of the kids but she must not participate directly as one of the owners in any of our already established companies unless with express permission of all the kids. She will obey you. I must be respected. You know other things that would make the relationship to be soothing to me in death and useful to you in life unless if you want to continue to deceive yourself. You must not allow her do anything you know would not be pleasing. You are an intelligent man, I did say this often and I leave you to your conscience (she smiled…) till we meet to part no more. My love to all still existing and I want all to know this."
"If she didn't appear to me in my dreams, I wouldn't have remarried. I remarried after three years of her death. Time reversed everything. I didn't want a situation where I would be bringing different women to our home: After the dreams, I began to consider marriage again. Being alone may not be the problem, the problem is the temptations that loneliness and being alone ferment. That would be very disrespectful to her memory and our children. I remarried, with her blessings. I am no longer mourning but her memories are indelible."

Amazing! SEE Mercy Johnson's Look Alike And Also Aspires To Be An Actress

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 01:28 AM PDT

Ogunleye Oluwaseun Mary looks almost exactly like Mercy Johnson and once said the first time she saw the actress in a movie, she thought they were sisters. A reporter with E24-7 caught up with her, and his first reaction was are you Mercy Johnson? But a closer look and where he met her suggested she wasn't the one, but she sure has a lot of similarities with the actress. Check out her interview and similarities she thinks she has with Mercy Johnson after the cut.

Can you tell us a bit about your background?

I'm the second to the last born in a family of five. I attended the Lagos State Polytechnic where I studied Mass Communications.

You look a lot like Mercy Johnson and I'm sure you've heard that a lot; when did you actually become aware of it?

That was about two years ago when I watched a movie titled "The Maid" which starred Mercy Johnson, and I actually thought it was my sister because we really look alike, so I called her on the phone and told her I just saw her in a movie, but she said she wasn't the one. Even when I was studying for my National Diploma (ND), people in school used to call me Mercy Johnson.

Do you think you share any of her personality traits?

Hmm…yes! I like most of the roles she has acted. She's also confident and courageous which I am too.

You also want to become an actress, was it after you saw Mercy Johnson on screen that you developed the interest?

No, it has always been in me; I like acting.

If you get to meet Mercy in person, what would your reaction be?

I can't say what my reaction will be, but I know I will be so happy.

If you were giving an opportunity to act alongside Mercy Johnson, what role would you like to play?

Actually, I think any actor that is truly talented should be able to play any role.

Are your parents in  support of your acting career?

Initially, my dad did not support me, but I tried to make him understand that this is what I love, and he has also seen it in me that I have a flair for showbiz.

How do you feel whenever you read negative comments about MJ?

You know, people spread rumours, saying different kinds of things which are not true at times. However, it does not really bug me because I believe she's old enough to know what's good for her.

Don't you think Mercy could actually be your biological sister that you never knew about?

(Chuckles) I don't really think so.

We have seen cases of people undergoing cosmetic surgery just to look like their favourite celebs, would you consider enhancing your physique to look more like MJ?

No o. Simplicity is the best thing. If I really look like her, I don't need to add any other thing.

What do you like most about Mercy?

Her smile, the way she acts and talks…everything!

Over fifty feared dead As Boko Haram throws explosives into homes, kill women and children in fresh attack

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 12:41 AM PDT

Over fifty people are feared dead after suspected Boko Haram members attacked the town of Damboa,

An official in Damboa's local government who requested anonymity. confirmed the news saying the attack was launched on Thursday night and lasted until the early hours of today.
"They killed many people. Women and children fled into the bush," he added.
"Those who could not flee surrendered and were killed by the insurgents," he added.
The militants attacked a police station and an army camp in Damboa on July 6, chasing the security forces out of the town.
Damboa residents have been left unguarded since the previous attack, the official and witnesses said.
Resident Ahmed Buba said the assailants stormed as locals were preparing to break the Ramadan fast at sundown.
"We were defenceless because all the security personnel, including soldiers and policemen, have withdrawn," he told AFP.
Damboa  is now said to be deserted as many people have fled to neighbouring towns.

According to Daily Mail Uk mother of  Popular footballer Critiano Ronaldo, Dolores Aveiro, claimed that she attempted to abort him when she was
pregnant by 'drinking warm beer' and 'running until she dropped' All this she wrote Inside her recently released autobiography Mãe Coragem (which translates to 'Mother Courage') ,

Although she did not give any reason for wanting to abort her unborn child, Dolores said she had approached her doctor to carry out the abortion but he didn't agree with it and refused to do it. She then resorted to doing it herself by drinking warm beer and running with the hope that she would lose the pregnancy.
"I wanted to abort but the doctor didn't support my decision," she wrote in her autobiography.
Speaking at the launch of the autobiography in Lisbon yesterday, Dolores said that Ronaldo already knew about his past and even joked about it. ""He told me when he found out, 'Look mum, you wanted to abort me and now I'm the one who's pulling the purse-strings in the house,'" she said..

Aircraft Carrying US Soldiers Make Emergency Landing On A Highway In Uganda (Photos)

Posted: 19 Jul 2014 12:12 AM PDT

An aircraft carrying U.S. military personnel today has made an emergency landing in the middle of a highway after running out of fuel, Ugandan police said.

The Piper aircraft with eight people on board, including two crew members was returning to Uganda's Entebbe International Airport when it had to make an emergency landing in Mityana town, some 67 kilometers (about 41 miles) from the Ugandan capital of Kampala.

No one was hurt and the aircraft wasn't damaged, but motor traffic flow was seriously disrupted.
The said aircraft was initially heading to South Sudan but it couldn't land there and had to return to Uganda.
It was not immediately clear why the pilot could not land in South Sudan.
