Three Nigerian women and a 10-year-old girl were killed in a car crash in Co Westmeath, Dublin, It was a tragedy as the women were in their late 30s and early 40s, according to what a Garda spokesperson has confirmed.

One of them, Princess-QueenentAmenaghawon Olige-esezobor a Dublin based socialite from Benin Edo State Nigerian was reportedly coming from a vigil when she lost her life at the sad incident. Her friends and associates across Ireland and on Facebook are distraught, pouring out their aggrieved emotions on her facebook walls and theirs.

The one that touched people was the little confirmation and tribute a friend of hers placed on her facebook wall saying "They all died instantly in a horrific car accident in Ireland. My beautiful Princess Princess-Queenent Amenaghawon Olige-esezobor although I spoke with your sister today and she confirmed your death, I am still in shock...heartbreaking and very sad.... Ewo... Death, you are wicked oh.... Death is really no respecter of anyone. It comes like a thief, take the good ones and live the wicked ones to continue with their evil ways. Why!!!! May your souls rest in peace" she wrote on Princess wall.

At Last! The Fake Businessman Who Cordinated The Chibok Girls Abduction Has Been Arrested

In a statement released moments ago, the Nigerian military said it has arrested Babuji Ya'ari, (pictured above), who is described as the key actor in the Chibok girls abduction. Babuji, according to the military, was a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as civilian JTF, which he used as a cover to spy on the activities of the Nigerian security forces, acting as a spy & gathering information for terrorist group. The military also said Ya'ari has coordinated several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011. Find the press statement signed by Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, after the cut...

A terrorists' intelligence cell headed by a businessman who participated actively in the abduction of School Girls in Chibok has been busted by troops. The man, Babuji Ya'ari who is also a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as Civilian JTF which he uses as cover while remaining an active terrorist, also spearheaded the murder of the Emir of Gwoza. His main role in the group is to spy and gather information for the terrorists group.

Babuji has been coordinating several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011, including the daring attacks on Customs and military locations as well as the planting of IEDs in several locations in the town.

The arrest of the businessman who is known to deal in tricycles has also yielded some vital information and facilitated the arrest of other members of the terrorists' intelligence cell who are women. One of them, Hafsat Bako had earlier escaped to Gombe State to avoid suspicion but was tracked and arrested. Prior to her arrest, Hafsat coordinated the payment of other operatives on the payroll of the group. In her confession, she disclosed that a minimum of N10,000 is paid to each operative depending on the enormity of his task.

Another female suspect named Haj Kaka who doubles as an armourer and a spy for the terrorists group has also been arrested. Until their arrest, all the suspects actively operated a terrorists' intelligence cell in collaboration with others still at large.

In another development, troops deployed in Goniri, Yobe State, over the weekend, had an encounter with terrorists, resulting in casualties on both sides after the attack was successfully repelled.

Rick Ross Arrested in North Carolina!

Rapper Rick Ross was arrested last night (June 27) in Greenboro, N.C., following his performance at the 2014 SuperJam at the Greensboro Coliseum. The arrest stemmed from a year-old warrant for another North Carolina arrest related to marijuana possession; Ross reportedly failed to appear in court for that violation in 2013.

TMZ reports that Ross cooperated with local police, posted bail and has now been released.

If you're an entrepreneur you have heard the million reasons not to go into business: It's too risky, you might go into debt, you'll probably lose sleep, your social life is kaput, and the list goes on. But even with all these uncertainties, people are still attracted to the startup world. There are just as many, if not more reasons to take the leap and go into business for yourself. Here are just a few:

1. Spare time. This one can take some time. Initially you'll work longer hours for less pay. But if you do it right, you could start to master your schedule and the freedom that being an entrepreneur provides is awesome.

2. A story to tell. Whenever I tell someone I run my own business, they always want to know what I do, how I do it and how it's going. I always am able to provide a tale or two, and the best part is that I get to determine the story's chapters. (When working for a corporation, people most likely have less input.)

3. Pride. When you build something successful, it's a great feeling. You had a vision, were able to execute it and not can reap the benefits of saying "I did this." On the other hand, it's tough to be proud of the zillionth request for proposal you fill out for your employer.

4. Your posterity. If you're a doctor, plumber or bus driver it's hard to imagine you passing your career on to your loved ones. But if you own your own business, that's something you can pass on to the next generation. And be proud of it, because you created it.

5. Job security. Have you ever been laid off, downsized, or fired? If you have, you get this. With entrepreneurship the security lies in the fact you are your own boss. You run the show and don't have to worry about getting let go.

6. Networking. Entrepreneurs are communal creatures. We love to meet each other, swap stories, and learn from each other's experiences. Your circle of friends and acquaintances always grows when you become an entrepreneur, as many founders need others to lean on to survive and talk about the challenges only known to them.

8. Doing good. While this isn't exclusive to entrepreneurs, it's definitely a perk. You control where your company profits go and if you choose, you can give allocate your financial gains to others. You can sponsor a charity, a non-profit or just personally give back to the community. This is quite honestly one of the best parts of being an entrepreneur.

9. Novelty. We, as humans, love new experiences but rarely can you experience a host of new things from inside your cubicle. This all changes when you are running the show. Starting your own business will ensure you'll always be facing new challenge and experiencing something new.

10. Mentorship. Having had mentors and getting to be a mentor have been some of the best experiences of my life. Learning from the masters and getting to help those less experienced than you gives you such a sense of satisfaction. From my experience (and other's stories) the entrepreneurial community is very willing to give back and lend a helping hand.

11. Becoming an expert. This point goes along with mentorship. Regardless of what you do as an entrepreneur, if you stick with it, you'll probably become very good at it. And this gives you a sort of soapbox, so use it. You'll have the chance to be interviewed for your expertise, write about it and get to spread your message.

12. Skills. People ask me how I learned about SEO, social media, pay-per-click, PR and all the other marketing techniques I utilize. I tell them that I was forced to learn them, otherwise I wouldn't survive. The same way I was forced to learn how to build a spreadsheet, how to balance a budget, how to negotiate leases and countless other skills I picked up because I was the only resource I had. While developing new skills can be tough and takes times, it can pay off in spades. These skills will be invaluable throughout your life.

13. Determination. Everything I've done as an entrepreneur has affected me in my personal life. I used to be poor at committing to changes. But having been an entrepreneur for over a decade has forced me to become dedicated and determined to causes. (Now I can stick to an exercise plan much easier.) I'm also better at being a father and husband because of that determination I learned.

14. Recognition. There are literally thousands of local, regional and national awards that recognize entrepreneurs in every field and industry. This shouldn't be your only reason to start your business, but it certainly is a great feeling when you receive this recognition.

15. Financial independence. Let's be honest, this is probably the biggest reason people get into business for themselves. And that's a good thing! You should want financial independence. However you define financial independence – retirement stockpile, unlimited cash potential or having the money to buy what you want -- entrepreneurship can allow you to achieve it. Trust me, money doesn't buy happiness, but it does make finding happiness much easier.

16. Reinvention. I've started and sold several companies over my career. And every time I sell a company, I'm presented with an opportunity to reinvent myself all over again. On the flip side, if I had received my law degree, I'd be a lawyer (not a lot of room to recreate myself). But as an entrepreneur, I get to be whatever I want to be.

17. Change the world. Everyone jokes that every entrepreneur says they're going to change the world. It's difficult to imagine how a cell phone accessory kiosk in the mall is going to change the world. But there are those that do succeed. Take a look at Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Sergey Brin, and the countless other entrepreneurs who really have changed the world in some small (or major) way.

18. Create jobs. There's nothing like the satisfaction of knowing you're responsible for the success of your employees. Your ideas provided them the opportunity to earn a living, provide for their family and fulfill their own dreams.

19. Your brand. Being known for something is awfully enjoyable. People may start referring to you as the marketing guy, or the retail maven or the software guru. Whatever it is you're recognized as, it's fun to build that brand and earn that recognition.

While speaking on Channels TV's, Sunrise Daily, this morning June 30th, former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, who recently dumped the APC for PDP, said the founder of terrorist group, Boko Haram, is an indigene of Borno state and is also a key official of the opposition. He also said Boko Haram is the armed wing of the opposition. Some of what he said below...

"It is very clear that the founder of Boko Haram, the person that actually founded Boko Haram when he was in office...and I won't mention his name on Television but everybody knows who it is, is from Borno state. He is alive and well. He is a key member of the opposition. Again I look at the utterances of the official spokesman of the opposition last year, that is Lai Mohammed, where he protested at the fact that Boko Haram was proscribed by the federal government where he said it was unconstitutional for the federal government to do so. He needs to explain why it is he would want to protect and support an organization that has killed almost 15,000 Nigerians as at that time and is against the fact that they were being proscribed to protect Nigerians.

"If you compare what's happening in Nigeria to what happened in Ireland some years ago, you had Sinn Fein on the one hand and then you had the IRA on the other. The IRA was the armed wing of Sinn Fein and as far as I'm concerned, Boko Haram could well be described as the armed wing of the opposition, today."

Suarez Ban: 'FIFA leaders are ‘Old sons of b***hes’ - Uruguay president Slams FIFA!

Uruguay's President Jose Mujica has slammed FIFA leaders as "sons of b***hes" for banning the country's star striker Luis Suarez over his infamous World Cup bite.

Mujica called the four month ban on all football activity imposed on Suarez for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini "fascist sanctions".

The president made the comments to a state-run TV sports show which asked Mujica his opinion of the World Cup as he welcomed the defeated Uruguayans on their return from Brazil late Sunday.

"Those at FIFA are a gang of old sons of b***hes," Mujica said. He gasped and put his hand to his mouth in an I-can't-believe-that-I said-that manner, but smiled.

The journalist asked if he could publish the remark. "For my part, sure," Mujica shrugged.

"I support the president's remarks," added his wife, Senator Lucia Topolansky, who was stood next to him.

"They could have sanctioned him," said Mujica, a 79 year-old ex-guerrila, "but not with fascist sanctions."

Suarez bit Chiellini during Uruguay's 1-0 win over Italy to secure a place in the last 16. It was his third offence of biting an opponent.

FIFA slapped Suarez with a four month ban on all football activities, a nine match international suspension and a 100,000 Swiss francs ($112,000, 83,000 euro) fine.

Without Suarez, Uruguay lost 2-0 to Colombia on Saturday.

The Suarez sanctions have been harshly criticized in Uruguay. Mujica welcomed Suarez at Montevideo airport when he arrived Friday ahead of the team.

In his weekly radio address on Friday, Mujica said the Suarez punishment "will be an eternal shame" in the history of the World Cup.

The proposal and love story: It was kinda a love at first story, i had just finished from secondary school, we met at the gate while he was coming out of a studio and I was going in and we ...boom...and then the sparks. My whole life was about church and school then so I always wanted to invited him to church.......we were going back and forth...but i said yes to his proposal cos i love him. Won't you say yes to someone you love, regardless of all.
I didn't even see the proposal coming cos we were not really together that period, we were just being good parents to my daughter, so when he proposed, I said yes because I want to be with him regardless and moreover he is not a bad person.
Dating other guys: Yes I dated other guys in between the complications and all but i really loved 2face, it was always 2face, he's my soul mate.
Why he proposed: He kinda realized that that was where his heart was, he was confused for a long time but he made the right choice
Relationship with other baby-mamas and step children: I am civil with them, no beef, we are cool....I don't know if any of them was hoping to get the ring oh, Toolz don't put me in trouble, I have enough bruises already....
Romance with 2face: We fool around a lot ooo...he joins me in the kitchen sometimes, he helps with the house chores a lot. We play a lot, we do almost everything together like from cooking etc...we joke about almost everything and say the silliest things!

Nigerian Medical Association Declares Strike!

The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has declared an indefinite strike and advised its members to stay away from work with effect from July 1, 2014.

Addressing a news conference in Abuja, President of the association, Dr Kayode Obembe, said that the Federal Government has failed to address the demands of the association and the association was forced to take the action in order to save the health care delivery system from anarchy that is imminent in the health sector.

The association is among other things demanding the stoppage of the appointment of non-doctors as directors and consultants.

They are also demanding the immediate passage of the National Health Bill, appointment of a Surgeon-General of the Federation, the payment of 100,000 Naira hazard allowance for medical doctors and the skipping of level 12 by medical and dental practitioners.

The association had earlier in the month addressed a news conference at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, where it advised the Federal Government to urgently address its 24-point demand or be prepared for the indefinite strike with effect from July 1.

'We don’t know where the Chibok girls are' – US Reveals!

The United States said on Friday it had decreased its surveillance flights in the search for the about 219 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram, but added that the overall effort was unchanged due to more flights by other countries.

It stated that it had no idea of the location of the girls, noting however that there is no letup in the efforts to locate and rescue them.

"We don't have any better idea today than we did before about where these girls are, but there's been no letup of the effort itself," Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby told reporters, according to Reuters.

Kirby said the same level of effort was being sustained now through international involvement.

A US defence official speaking on condition of anonymity said American flights had been reduced only after a body of intelligence had been gathered and that the cuts had been offset by the British and the French support.

Kirby denied a suggestion that US flights over Nigeria had been reduced to accommodate increased US surveillance over Iraq, where Washington is flying unmanned and manned aircraft to gather intelligence about Sunni insurgents.

He said some of the resources that were being used in Nigeria had been diverted from other missions in Africa and could now be used elsewhere on the continent.

Officials declined to say how long heightened U.S. surveillance over Nigeria had lasted.

Asked whether it was just a week or two, the defence official said, "No. We were building this baseline for a good period of time."

US surveillance flights over Nigeria were now intermittent, the source said.

US military personnel are in Abuja helping to coordinate the effort, and some 80 others were sent to Chad in May to support the surveillance operation.

Chad is northeast of Nigeria and borders the area in which Boko Haram is known to operate.

In the last month, US officials had played down expectations about a swift rescue of the girls and stressed the limitations of intelligence from surveillance flights.

One US official voiced concerns that Boko Haram might have booby-trapped areas where the girls could be held, and there had been reports that they might have been split up into groups that were not being held in one place.

The defence official said surveillance alone would not lead to a resolution. "It will take the Nigerian piece of the equation with their own sources and human intelligence coupled with the other forms to really understand the picture," he noted.

In an opinion piece in the Washington Post on Friday, President Goodluck Jonathan said his government and security services had "spared no resources, have not stopped and will not stop until the girls are returned home."

However, a few celebrities today have been able to withstand criticism and the temptation to push aside their education. They have shown that entertainers too have brains and can also live glamorous lives. TribuneNg chronicles the lives of some of these artistes who are degree holders.

Dr Sid
FROM an early age, Dr. Sid (real name is Sidney Esiri) had his heart set on becoming a singer. One would think that coming from a family where his late father, veteran actor Justus Esiri, was an actor, being an entertainer would be pretty easy – but it was not.

In an earlier interview with Saturday Tribune, Dr Sid said, "I had to apply for Dental Surgery and focus on being a dentist until my first year when I joined a dance group called Rock Force. While still trying to be a dentist, I moved to Trybes Men.

When asked what his late dad's reaction was, the musician said, "He was pretty upset. He even said he did not want to see me, and kicked me out of the house. Later on, I found out that his harsh judgement at that time was to test my resolve; to see if I was sure that I would work hard in the music industry the same way I would work hard as a dentist. And immediately he saw this, he gave me his support."

Sidney, better known as Dr Sid is a graduate from the University of Ibadan, and is a certified dentist.

Ali Baba
ALI Baba was born into a family that wanted him to study Law to be able to take care of them, but deep down, the ace comedian knew that that was not what he wanted to do. He, however, had his education at Ibru College in Agbarha-Otor and then went on to the Bendel State University (now Ambrose Alli University), Ekpoma where he studied Religious Studies & Philosophy.

After acquiring a degree from the then Bendel State University in 1990, he relocated to Lagos, having discovered his comic talent in his third year in university. He had planned to return to Ekpoma to study Law but that was not to be, since he discovered he could make more money from making people laugh than defending them.

While trying to make a mark as a comedian with brains, Ali Baba told Saturday Tribune that he had to do lots of free shows and even begged to be allowed a few minutes to perform at seminars, and AGMs.

Well, now known as one of the most influential comedians in the history of Nigeria, Ali Baba's driving force, as he told Saturday Tribune, is to prove to his father that he did not have to study Law to make it.

Naeto C
The Owerri-born rapper was born to former Nigerian Ambassador to Ireland, Dr. Mrs. Kema Chikwe and Chief Herbert Chikwe. Though he spent his early years in Ireland, his fondness for music grew fast and was articulated into other creative art forms, most specifically poetry, which took him to various competitions and earned him accolades as a young poet.

He, however, had to finish school before the dream of being a musician could grow big. After finishing his secondary education in Lagos, Naeto C moved to the United States for higher education both in Suny old Westbury and a year later, George Washington University. It was at this time that he met Uzikwendu and Ikechukwu, who were aspiring hip-hop artistes out of Washington Heights, New York.

Naeto C graduated in 2004 from the George Washington University with a BSc. in Biology, intending to study further and become a medical doctor. After some deep self-searching, he changed his mind and decided to pursue his dream and develop his talent as a musician.

In the summer of 2013, Naeto C disappeared from the entertainment scene and returned to school to pursue a higher degree in London at the Oxford University, taking a course in Energy Economics.

Banky W
ALTHOUGH Bankole Wellington (BankyW) was born in the United States to Nigerian parents, his family moved back to Lagos, Nigeria, when he was five years old where he began singing in his church choir at the age of eight.

After completing his secondary school education at Home Science Association Secondary School, he moved to New York to attend college on a scholarship, earning a degree in Engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It was while he was still in college that the engineer-cum-musician won the 'Albany Idol' competition, which catapulted him into the spotlight.

Funke Akindele
FORGET the fact that Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, may be comical with most of her television roles, she is nothing near an illiterate. The former Miss Akindele attended the University of Lagos where she earned a degree in Law.

Mocheddah
IN 2008, it was difficult not to notice Mo Cheddah as she ruled the air waves alongside her young counterpart, Wizkid

But Mo Cheddah did not allow her rising music career deter her from completing her education. Even when she was asked in an earlier interview how she was coping with school, she said, "It's so hard, but I have to go to school. There is no compromise on it. I know some other people would have decided to dump school and face their career; but I didn't think of doing that. This is something I have to do. It is a total struggle. Remember I have to travel all the time. But I read my books everywhere I go. I read inside the plane. This is a life I have chosen to live. I also have to be in school because I wouldn't want people to think I am a celebrity who is dumb upstairs. You know how people behave to you when they know they have an advantage over you? They will want to be rude to you. I will never allow that."

Now a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, Mo Cheddah has continued with her singing career, and even also hopes to become an actress.

87-year-old With Tumour In her Eye drags bank to court for suspicious withdrawal of N253k.

An 87-year-old woman, Mrs. Sanusi Adebisi, has locked horns with the Union Bank Plc over the N253,000 withdrawn from her account in the bank via the Internet sometime in October 2013.

The claimant told the Magistrate's Court sitting at the Ojokoro, Agbado area of Lagos that she just got N200,000 of the sum from her cooperatives to operate the tumour in her eye.

She told the court that the tumour had worsened since the scam took place because no longer had money to get rid of it.

Adebisi, who sells drinks in Orile-Agege, said she had been the sole signatory to her account since 1970s before her only daughter, Sanusi Ifedayo, was included as a joint signatory due to a health problem.

Ifedayo claimed she did not know anything about Internet transaction and told the court that she had rejected the use of an ATM card for the account, but an official of the bank insisted that she applied for it, saying some amount could not be cashed across the counter.

"I had withdrawn N40, 000 for Mama (mother) that day before the scam. It was my husband who went to greet her that very day that noticed the debit alerts on her phone.

I wrote a letter of complaint to the bank and its officials promised to investigate the matter. After a week, I was told that the money was withdrawn online by an unknown person. I don't even know how to operate a Facebook account not to talk of using Internet for transaction. The bank is in best position to tell us what transpired," she said.

She also claimed that she had never revealed the ATM pin to anyone.

The claimant's counsel, Mr. Gbenga Julius, presented before the court, a signed and stamped printout of his client's statement of account reportedly accessed from the Union Bank – an exhibit the defence counsel, Mr. Seyi Solaja, refuted.

Solaja maintained that the exhibit was not the same as the one the bank issues to its customers, adding that it was null and void under Section 84 of Evidence Act.

The magistrate, Mrs. T. Akani adjourned the case to July 27, 2014 for further hearing.
