Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has two wives. He got married to his first wife, Hajia Sadiya - the 7th daughter and 16th child of late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero - 25 years ago.

In a recent interview with one Hausa magazine, Aminiya, she talked about their love story:

"I knew I was going to be betrothed but I didn't know when since I wasn't being asked when. I met my husband through my own family - he is like my brother. He grew up in the Emir palace and I thought he was my elder brother because he was always with my older brothers. I grew up seeing him in our house so I was surprised when he started to show interest in me. I later discovered we were not related and married him.

"I thank the Almighty Allah for the great gift of children. When I married him, I didn't have a child immediately till about three years later. When we had our first son, we were filled with joy. As for marriage, staying married has to do with patience and obedience - these two have helped my marriage. Your husband should always be the head of the family no matter your status "

"My joy was when my husband was turbanned because we looked forward to it but it came when we least expected it. I was so full of joy that day."

Breaking News! Boko Haram men militants attack football viewing center in Damaturu

Boko Haram men this evening attacked a football viewing center in Damaturu, Yobe State during a live football match between Brazil and Mexico in the ongoing world cup in Brazil.

The sect men reportedly hauled explosives at the viewing center, injuring several people. Injured people were rushed to nearby hospitals.

Yobe state Police commissioner told AFP that they have deployed policemen to the scene and will give details on the incident later...

The latest news in the entertainment industry that's going viral at the moment is the Dbanj/Tonto Dike's record label signing deal which has been generating a lot of controversies. Pundits have seen this move by Dbanj as a last minute survival strategy of a drowning man, in fact it is what National Enquirer will refer to as the JOKER of year 2014. We can't wait to see the end of the movie, quote us.
In case you're a bit behind, Dbanj has just officially unveiled his signees into his record labels, DB Records a.k.a LeeTemple and in his team are daringly notorious actress, Tonto Dike whose call name at the LeeTemple will be PokoLee, also there's Dbanj's younger brother, KaySwitch (KasSwitchLee), and upcoming musicians, MossKrissLee and RalphKrissLee whom we learnt are blood brothers while the egg head of the LeeTemple wants to be known as BangaLee-The White Lion (Kiniun Funfun).

There's no doubting the fact that, Dbanj who was one time a toast of the industry is at crossroads possibly owing to his overzealousness or maybe wrong decision and some are even saying the talented lanky musician might have developed kind of complexity due to situation on ground. He's in desperate need to fill up the gap which has been so obvious after leaving the Mohits crew.

Don't get this wrong, Dbanj is still much around doing well but not as commensurate though, there had been arguments of his track records right from when he left his former label, Mohits till this time, take it or leave it, there hasn't been much in terms of a major hit song or album aside the nation cup's sound track, Top of The World and later Eja Nla which tried to lift him but didn't go as presumed.

It is pertinent to note that when Dbanj left the Mohits crew to join Kanye's GOOD Music, so much was expected of him, he did get his fans' back then because they see a tag-team with Kanye as something unique, out of this world, extraordinary and a boost for the blossoming Nigeria entertainment industry; the thought was that, shortly, Dbanj will soon be hobnobbing with the likes of Puff Daddy, Jay-Z, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and so on, on the American Red Carpet but alas, it was just a movie script which never came to pass, even the primary assignment of getting to produce him saw no light of the day aside the remix video of his last effort with Mohits, OliverTwist where Kanye did nothing but mocking him at the background, please go see it again, there was no word from him except flipping his images few times and Kanye's last gesture at the end of the video suggested nothing but "you're on your own", what Nigerians will call OYO.

And to say that DBanj didn't even make the last seat at the Kanye West and Kim Kadashian wedding that held at the historic Chateau De Versailles in France recently is sad sad enough for someone who's part of the Good Music management.

Worst still was the recently concluded MTV Awards which held in South Africa where DBanj did not just lose out completely (he didn't win any award) but got no recognition at all, unlike his erstwhile team mates who coasted home few laurels and had swell time at the international show.

In a frantic move to pull media stunt, DBanj went to town to announce what can best be described as the funniest deal of 2014, he told the world he's signing contentious actress, Tonto Dikeh whose incursion into music got a flabbergasted viewing from fans with laughable comments that eventually marred her chances.

"Yes, Tonto's weird idiosyncrasies will definitely drag fans for anything she ventures into but she can only fool people once before they back out, so why is DBanj making such a grave mistake, anyway he's a sinking ship, he definitely need a help", says a critic who spoke to National Enquirer.

Other school of thought are of the opinion that, DBanj has always been in the habit of using gullible stars to shore up himself in the media anytime it looks like the chips are falling down just like the pranks he played with Genevieve Nnaji where they both left everybody to guess and believe whatever they feel was happening between them. The truth is, Genevieve is at the receiving end because the whole world now sees her like she fell so cheap even if it were meant to be a cooked up act, the fact remains that, DBanj has made his point and got loads of media attention which was helpful in cornering some of the product endorsements then.

Now it is the turn of Tonto Dikeh who will have nothing to lose anyway because, hers, is an already battered image that needs to be managed but how far can the deal between DBanj and Tonto who fondly refer to each other as Dad and daughter in business lasts and who do you think stands to gain from the relationship.

'How My Daughter Made Me Go From 127kg To 97kg'– Richard Mofe Damijo Reveals!

Nollywood fine man and Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Richard Mofe Damijo aka RMD lost some weight, and there had been stories of him being very ill and all the likes. He, however dismissed the report and said he is very well and even in best of health. In a recent interview with the Sunday Sun, he explained in details how he came about the weight-loss that is trending on social media recently

"I woke up one morning, to be precise May 9th last year, and I weighed 120kg. I said this cannot go on. Neither of my parents crossed 60kg. I thought it would be sinful for me to keep eating and putting on weight and living an unhealthy life. I decided to just change my lifestyle. I didn't diet, what I'm doing now is not dieting. I hate to use the word diet because when you say you are dieting you have to stop at one point. What I did was to change my lifestyle.

"What I did was to get somebody who knows about food. A lot of people don't succeed when they diet because they don't understand food. They diet, they drink a lot of shakes, tablets and all of that and after a month they become bigger than they were. What I did was very simple. It's all about knowing the kind of food you eat and what it contains. I have a daughter (Onome) from my late wife, who is obsessed with calories, weight gain and weight loss. She was with me all through Christmas and New Year. She's 26. I love what I do now; I just eat well and exercise.

"I feel lighter, but there are lots of people who feel I am too slim now. It's about how I feel inside. I'm at my best physically. I have never felt better. I feel lighter, I don't suffer indigestion. Now I weigh about 97kilos."

'Expect Us Again!' - Boko Haram to Warns Chibok Community!

Barely two months after abducting over 200 schoolgirls from Chibok, Borno State, the militant Islamic sect, Boko Haram, has written to the people of the community to watch out for their next visit.

A highly-placed official of the Chibok Local Government Area, who made this known to journalists on Thursday, said that in the letter, the insurgents warned Chibok would soon be visited with terror.

He however said that the letter had been shown to police authorities who assured them of maximum protection. Punch reports that the official, who did not want his name in print, said in spite of the assurances by the police, the people were living in ''great fear.''
He said:

"Everyone in the LGA believes that the sect cannot be pocketed by security men. The letter has further worsened their fear. Whenever Boko Haram tells you that they are coming, they will never fail to do so. Our fear now is that, we don't know when and how they are going to come but our people are in great fear. We are calling for prayers as well as on government to provide adequate security in Chibok."

Late Kefee's restaurant, Branama Kitchen -which used to play host to numerous celebrities amidst merriment and loud music - has been shut down.

A certain Tope Ali who lives on the street told NET that the last time the restaurant was opened on Friday, June 15, 2014, and was shut down not long after the singer's death was reported. 'I don't know when next it will be opened but nobody has come to open it since it was shut down last Friday'.
The restaurant which is located in the Mende area of Maryland, Lagos was opened in February 2012 and was born out of Kefee's passion for delicacies and hospitality.

Police ArrestS 63 'Black Axe' Cultists During Initiation In Akwa Ibom! [PHOTOS]

The Akwa Ibom Police Command on Sunday arrested 63 persons, suspected to be members of 'Black Axe,' a cult group.
DSP Etim Dickson, the command's Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), announced this while briefing newsmen in Uyo.
He said that the suspected cult members were arrested during their initiation at Effoi village forest, near Eket.
The police image maker said that some of the items recovered from the cultists include two locally-made pistols, five live cartridges, two axes and two drums.
Other items are five black berets with 'Aye' insignia, three cars, one bus, two motorcycles, 10 cell phones; and a contain, containing
substance suspected to be blood.
He said that all the suspects confessed to being members of 'Black Axe' adding that they would be charged to court soon.
"All the suspects will be charged to court. You know the activity of cult group is becoming too rampant,'' Dickson said.
He appealed to members of the public to volunteer information about criminal activities in their area to the police for prompt action. (NAN)

Excerpts…

Maybe we should start by way of introduction. Can we meet you?

Yeah! My name is Rev. Fr. Lawrence Olusegun Adelana, aka Father Fuji. I hail from Awailaporo, Ijebu North local government area, Ogun State. I'm from a family of five; I'm the last child. Two boys, three girls. My mum and my dad are also from Ogun State; from Ijebu. By God's grace, I'm a priest, I'm also an artiste, working in the entertainment industry and very happy. I'm a Christian, I love sports, I do swim, I love athletics, I like football too and I play instruments…

Which of the instruments do you play specifically?

I play piano, I play keyboard, I play the guitar, I play drums, I play lead guitar, base and rhythm guitar.

How old is Father Fuji and which schools did Father attend?

Yes, I was born 1975; 38 years ago. I attended St. Joseph's Primary School, at Ijebu Igbo. I also attended Obanta Community Secondary School, in Ijebu, then I attended Minor Seminary, Oke-Are, Ibadan. Then, I proceeded to the Seminary of All Saints, Ekpoma; I happen to be among the first set. It was a new seminary created when Ibadan was trying to be decongested. I was ordained 2003 for the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu Ode.

How did you get entangled with music?

Okay! As a young boy in primary school… Ever before I started being very serious in the church, in the parish setting; I lived in the ghetto. I was playing the drums then. We played the conga and a lot of other things from childhood. But later on, we had the Dominican priests that came around. The Dominican priests tried to introduce us to playing the piano and guitars. Then, having encountered the street kind of music, by the time I was in the seminary, I was made the choir master twice. So, I was in the school band, school choir and St. Francis' Choir. Along the way, we were playing instruments, we were entertaining students, we were also playing liturgical music in school. By the time I knew it, I had a group in the school. We were three in the group, we were entertaining students, we went out for different outings. So, this group, eventually, we were ordained from different dioceses. When we came out, I also wanted to have my own recordings. But I didn't actually know that having to do your own recordings, you will be prompted to do it live; people want to see you do it live. So, I didn't plan for doing it that way. But after the album came out, I had to start to push the album, I had to begin to go out to learn about what it means to register your name in the industry. That was how it all started. And I have three albums now…

Can you tell us their titles?

There's one we called Alake at 70; we did it for the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the paramount ruler of Egbaland; there's one we called Ma Tiraka, meaning I will get there in English and there is another one called Ipin lo dun, meaning a call. But I've been working on different singles since then.

What separates Father Fuji from the other Fuji musicians?

No. 1, because I'm a Christian; No. 2, because I'm a priest and No. 3, because I'm learned. Somebody who read Philosophy, who read Theology, your sense and level of compositions will be different and then the way and manner you put down your music, the lyrics, of course, will go a long way to determine the kind of things you do. So, it's totally different.
The music industry is rich in controversies, scandals and so on. How have you been able to maneuver them? Drinking, womanizing et al…
Yeah, it's very true. The industry is full of the good and the bad. But by the grace of God, as a Christian and somebody who is well trained from a good home; I never grew up smoking, for instance. Even though the wine that we use in the Catholic Church has alcohol, I'm not a smoker, I'm not a drunkard. In fact, somebody once asked me: do I take something before I go on stage and I said I don't do that. I only pray, I only drink water. The industry is full of a lot of things, but I think the industry needs to be evangelized. In as much as we want to bring something new into it, it also needs to be evangelized. About women; the women are always there. Even when you are a singer and singing from the mountain, and you are always living on the mountain, they will meet you there. So, you can't run away from them. You can only maximize them. You can only maximize the good relationship that you can have with people. So, from my own experience as a priest, it has been wonderful. People respect you as a priest, females come closer, but when they hear that I'm a priest, they also get back a little. But the struggle is still on. We are not giving up and by the grace of God, God will make us stand, despite all.

But do you get tempted by some of these women sometimes?

Em… It's normal. I'm a human being. I get tempted, but I always try to consider what's my focus, why am I in the industry and I always remind myself, just like the Yoruba saying, remember the son of who you are. Ranti omo eni ti iwo se. So, that always makes me want to be different from the other Fuji musicians. I'm not married and since I'm not thinking of getting married to any of them, I concentrate on my work. Some of them are my fans, some of them admire what I do, they tell me one on one, they come close to tell me openly. For those who don't tell me, for those who tell me, I appreciate all of them.

So, what is the best way to overcome temptation from members of the opposite sex?

In fact, women are part and parcel of those that carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. You remember Mary Magdalene? You remember Mary, the mother of Jesus? In any industry, whether commerce, whether entertainment, whether sports, women are very important. We can't do without them. The best way to overcome their temptation; No. 1 is to pray; No. 2 is to also continue to stand out and above all, it's the grace of God. Even if you know how to pray from now till tomorrow, it's still the grace of God.

Your Fuji music, how do you combine it with your priestly work?

In fact, my brand of music is not just Fuji. Fuji just happens to be a brand name, because I got the name from the studio when they were putting my name on the dart, on the recording data, in the studio. That was how one of the studio men said let's put Father Fuji there. That was how Father Fuji came up, and then we have been trying to use that as a brand name to register our presence in the industry. Combining it with the work is tedious, it's very tasking, but for now, thank God I'm a priest in the diocese. I don't have a parish that I'm directly overseeing. Because it would have been more difficult. But there are many priests who work in offices, who work in JDPC offices, hospitals, schools, some are principals, some are even directors who may not directly have to be in charge of a parish. I happen to be one of those people. So, combining it is a little tasking, but thank God for God's grace.

Is the Bishop of Ijebu Diocese aware that you sing Fuji or you do this without his consent?

He's very aware. In fact, I even played for him live when he celebrated his 25th anniversary in 2005 at Equity Resort Hotel, Gateway Hotel then, Ijebu Ode. He has been very supportive as a father. His name is Most Rev. (Dr.) Albert Ayinde Fashina.

Which are the other big events you have performed at?

Ah! I can't remember all of them. I have performed at harvests in different churches; celebrations of the Knights of the church in Yaba; I have performed for Serra Club in different parishes in Lagos and outside Lagos. Serra Club is an organization that funds the training of priests and they talk about vocations. The pilgrimage of Oyo Diocese in 2010… They are many. Many, many, many like that; that I can't remember. Even in Abuja.

Do you collect artiste fee or you do this just for charity?

Sure! Sure!! I collect. We collect. I have a manager, we have people that we work with. We try to make it corporate. We need finance, we need to stabilize. Rome was not built with Hail Mary. We need money to build up this thing. In fact, we are calling on people to come and help us. What I'm doing now, I spend my money. The money I could have used for food, clothes and shoes. The TV stations, magazines, radio. I go everywhere. I want people to come and assist us. People are getting aware; the awareness is getting better, but we have not reached where we are going. So, we want people to identify with what we are doing, so that we can actually evangelize, reach out to the ghetto people through the language they understand. Fuji is becoming a corporate music; not just a local music. So, we need people to come and assist us so that we can do more and get to where we are going.

To engage your services, what is the cost implication?

Well, we can talk about that behind camera. But I always tell people, maybe by the time I have instruments of my own, my charges will be more definite. But we charge based on the distance; whether it is in Lagos or outside Lagos. We play at birthdays, we play at burials, name it. Any social event. Parties, anniversaries, church harvests, different functions.

Other than the work of God and maybe singing, what are the other things you do for relaxation?

I swim, then I watch football. I used to like Chelsea; maybe because of the blue colour. The Marian colour, the colour of our Lady. But at a point, I began to realize that you could actually support a winning team. Any winning team.

What's your dream for your music career?

By God's grace, my dream is one – to register as an artiste on a very high level, within and outside Nigeria. I believe that, that is possible with the grace of God. My dream is also to reach out to people whose language of music is Fuji, within and outside Nigeria. Another is to make people realize something – that the fact that you are a professional in one area doesn't mean that you can't be relevant in another area. In fact, you could be a professional in one area, and you discover that your passion is somewhere else. So, there's no sin in that.

If your music career becomes more successful, will you abandon the priesthood for that?

Aaaaaah! There's never a time I'm going to leave the priesthood. People listen to me because I'm a priest. So, it doesn't make sense for me to say I'm leaving the priesthood. People want to listen to what I'm doing because of who I am. And I think that's also what gives credibility to what I'm doing, because some people say this is a Reverend Father, this one is unique. So, we should go for him.

The life of a 28-year-old tricycle rider, Onu Kingsley, has been cut short after the driver of a Toyota Corolla, identified simply as Kingsley, allegedly dragged him on the road and crashed his body against a hurdle. The incident happened on the Apapa Road, Ebute Meta area of Lagos State on Saturday evening.

PUNCH Metro reports that Onu, an indigene of Enugu State, had alighted from his tricycle, popularly called, Keke NAPEP, to complain that Kingsley hit his motorcycle and injured one of his passengers.
The driver reportedly ignored the deceased and made to drive off when Onu pulled him by the shirt in a bid to stop him from escaping. The suspect wound up his window glass with the deceased's hand stuck, and raced down the Apapa Road, dragging him on the road in the process.

A friend of the deceased, Emmanuel Esan, who spoke to Punch said they lived in the same room on Ilaje Street. He said:

"We were together in the room that evening because we lived together. He did not plan to go out that day, but because there was no electricity, he decided to go out and make some money. I suddenly woke up around 12 midnight and didn't see him by my side. I decided to call his telephone line, but the person who picked it said the owner of the phone had been injured in an accident and was at the police station."

He said he never knew his friend had died until someone broke the news to him while he was heading for the Iponri Police Station. Esan lamented that Onu might not have died if he had been helped to the hospital on time.

"I learnt he was on the accident spot for over two hours before the police arrived and took them to the station. He was asked to make statements, together with the driver. It was on the way to the hospital that he died," he added

He said Onu had only recently bought an application form to run a part time academic programme at the Yaba College of Technology, when fate struck.

Uncle to the deceased, Mike Onu, said he brought him to Lagos 15 years ago. He described him as a quiet, humble and hardworking boy, adding that the incident was unfortunate.

"He was working hard for his future when the incident happened. He has just two brothers; one is in Sokoto, while the second is in Enugu. Since he died, his body has been lying there at the Mainland General Hospital mortuary. We have been waiting to hear from the family of the suspect, but none of them has shown up. We believe the police will help us handle the situation," he added.

A family friend, Spurgeon Ataene, asked the police authorities to give the deceased justice. The legal practitioner said:

"The circumstances under which a case can be regarded as a fatal motor accident are clearly distinct from that of a case of murder. Murder is with intent to kill ab initio. Here, the suspect was not even provoked. He was the one who hit the passengers and was being confronted. He still sped off, brushing Onu's body on the concrete tars, peeling off his flesh in the process and turning his body to piles of meat. This is a clear case of murder and should be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department."

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ngozi Braide, could not be reached on the telephone. Punch reports that a text message sent to her phone had also yet to be replied as of the time of filing this report.

'Keshi should be held responsible...His changes were poor' - Okocha blames Keshi for Iran draw!

Super Eagles Captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has said Coach Stephen Keshi should be held responsible for the lame approach the team adopted in the goaless draw against Iran last night.

Speaking as an analyst on Supersport after the match, Okocha said, "Keshi should be held responsible for the way the team played. Before the match he said African teams are tactically not disciplined and he did not bring anything new to the table.

"His changes were poor. He took out Moses and brought in Ameobi. I think that was a wrong change.

"We saw how Osaze came in and showed a lot of creativity. That is the kind of thing we expected. Iran match would have been our strongest point but we missed it."

Meanwhile, Coach Stephen Keshi has said that the Super Eagles did their best to defeat Iran.

Speaking moments after the match, Keshi said that "I wanted victory in this match, in fact, I want to win all the matches but this is football, that even when you dominate a game, you still don't get the result.
