Daughter Stabs Mom With Knife in Another Attack Influenced by Slender Man Posted: 09 Jun 2014 06:10 PM PDT Another stabbing is being blamed on Slender Man, after two 12-year-olds were arrested last week for stabbing their friend 19 times in an effort to prove Slenderman was real [read here]. In this new attack, a 13-year-old girl stabbed her mother with a knife for the same reason. The mother said that her 13-year-old daughter was obsessed with the fictional character Slender Man and allegedly attacked her with a knife in the kitchen of their home. The mother said her daughter has mental health issues but that she never imagined anything like this would happen.The daughter is in the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center. According to WLWT, "She had her hood up and had her hands covered with her sleeves and the mask, she was someone else during that attack," the mother said. "I came home one night from work and she was in the kitchen waiting for me and she was wearing a mask, a white mask," she said. The mother said her daughter's writings and drawings have always been dark. They referenced demons, being insane and falling into darkness. "(She) mentioned playing a role. (I) got the feeling she was playing a role. It didn't feel like her at all," the mother said. The mother said that after hearing about the two 12-year-old Wisconsin girls allegedly stabbing their friend to please Slender Man, she thinks her daughter was under the same influence. "We found things that she had written and she made reference to Slender Man. She also made references to killing," the mother said. "She even created a world for Slender Man in the game mine craft." Slender Man stories often feature him stalking or traumatizing people. "We do have to police what they do and what they read," the mother said. The girl is facing charges as a juvenile. Her family has not allowed to discuss the case with her but her mother said she told other people that she does not remember the attack. Her mother was treated for minor injuries in the attack, including cuts on her neck and face and a puncture wound on her back. I must confess, before these crimes, I had never heard of Slenderman and his stories. Meanwhile the man who created Slenderman and an administrator of a website that collected the works have expressed their condolences to a 12-year-old girl who was stabbed by two fans and to others affected by the tragedy. A spokeswoman for Slenderman creator Eric Knudsen and an administrator for the site told CBS they have been overwhelmed with calls and messages since news broke that the girls charged in the weekend stabbing told police they wanted to curry favor with Slenderman and prove he was real. "I am deeply saddened by the tragedy in Wisconsin and my heart goes out to the families of those affected by this terrible act," Knudsen said in a statement released by spokeswoman Sue Procko. Creepypasta administrator David Morales said the site clearly states the stories there are fiction and its rules bar use by anyone under 13. "We are not teaching children to believe in a fictional monster, nor are we teaching them to be violent," Morales wrote in an email. He noted that administrators have not allowed any new Slenderman stories to be posted since 2012 because they want users to come up with fresh ideas. Since Knudsen posted the first Slenderman stories and photos in an online forum in 2009, hundreds of other writers, artists and programmers have created horror stories featuring the tall, thin, faceless man in a black suit. "Overall, the community has deep condolences to the family of the victim and all those who were involved," Morales wrote.

The baby is said to have weighed in at 6 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 19.5 inches long, and her name is Royal Reign. This is Lil' Kim's first child with her partner of two years, Mr. Papers. Lil Kim's baby girl is healthy and well and Mum is also said to be in top condition. Congratulations to the new parents!

To think I was just congratulating the two on racking up the years, despite how most relationships in hollywood, especially those between an older lady and a younger man, never last too long. JLo and Casper Smart were last photographed together in public at the Billboard awards in May [See here]. Casper was her back up dancer when they began dating. Just preceding the announcement of their split, there had been rumors that Casper was chatting up other women, including a transexual, on social media. But recent news is that the split is not because of the allegations he cheated. Supposedly, the couple had been separated for sometime, and Casper is said to be upset about the split because he will miss JLo and her twins. However, he has now moved  his belongings out of  her house. The split is amicable and according to TMZ, JLo is letting him keep all of the expensive gifts she bought him during their two year relationship. Casper gets to keep 2 motorcycles, a jeep and a Dodge Ram truck. Pretty sweet so far, but that's where it ends. Casper's days tooling around L.A. in that white Bentley are over. Ditto flying private jets, the fancy Hamptons mansion and the Hidden Hills estate. The toughest change for Casper -- he won't be sitting front row during Paris Fashion Week with Kanye. And there's this. Our sources say Jennifer won't be doling out any money for Casper to land on his feet, but we're told that's the way he wants it. Halle Berry To Pay Ex Boyfriend Gabriel Aubry $16,000 Child Support Every Month for Daughter Nahla Posted: 09 Jun 2014 06:11 PM PDT Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry dated for several years and had a daughter together before they split in 2011. Since then the former couple have been locked in a custody battle for their daughter, Nahla, now six years old. Gabriel Aubry had asked for more custody of Nahla, causing a judge to block Halle Berry from moving her to France, and he also wanted more child support. In 2012, Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry were involved in a Thanksgiving Day fight at the actress' home. The fisticuffs involved Gabriel Aubry and her then fiance now husband, actor Olivier Martinez. Aubry was arrested after the fight, which left him with a black eye, a broken rib and other injuries. According to a report from Dailymail, the former couple have finally reached an agreement on the financial aspects of the custody case. Gabriel Aubry has gotten a court order a week ago stating that Halley Berry to pay her ex-boyfriend a retroactive payment of $115,000 and $300,000 to his attorneys to cover the costs of their custody dispute. The agreement approved by Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon also calls for Halle Berry to pay Aubry $16,000 a month going forward, and to pay Nahla's tuition, though the former couple will split her health care expenses. Inspite of this agreement which is only on child support payments, the custody dispute may yet continue. Meanwhile, Halle Berry married her husband, Olivier Martinez in July 2013 after they were dating for over a year and the couple now have an 8-month-old son together.

Teenage Girls Trade Sex for Mobile Phones in Sierra Leone – Study Reveals Posted: 09 Jun 2014 05:31 AM PDT Teenage girls in Sierra Leone's capital Freetown are selling their bodies to buy mobile phones, putting them at increased risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, says a study by Save the Children. According to the report by Thomson Reuters Foundation, the desire to own fashionable mobile devices is a key driver of childhood "transactional sex" in Sierra Leone. "Mobile phones represent everything that an adolescent associates with being young, hip and fashionable. They are part and parcel of the idea of what they want to become, and to get them they engage in risky sexual behaviour," said Krystle Lai, the research author. "Young girls are driven to seek older, richer men who can afford to buy them mobile phones, but the economic power in these relationships is unbalanced and influences the bargaining power of using a condom," added Lai, noting that Sierra Leone has poor sex education.     She said once girls own a phone, especially poorer girls, the maintenance and top up may mean they have to continue selling their bodies. The research in Freetown appears to reflect a wider global trend. The report said there was growing evidence that the demand for mobile phones was among the key drivers for young girls in low-income countries to engage in transactional sex. Girls in Freetown also use transactional sex to buy fashionable clothes, good exam results, known locally as "sexually transmitted grades", and even staple foods, researchers found. The girls often have different partners to meet different needs. "One girl at school was in love with three boys. One of them did her (school) assignments, one would buy her clothes, and the other one bought her phone and other things like money. One man won't do," one girl told researchers. There are different types of man. The 'old pa' can be over 50 years old, the 'big man' is 25 to 50 years old and then there are the young guys – those are the ones the girls actually love, the report said. "Many girls consider going with old men much better as they pay more money and they will only ask for oral sex instead of intercourse, so there is no chance of getting sexually transmitted diseases or becoming pregnant," Lai told Thomson Reuters Foundation by phone from Freetown. One girl told researchers: "The 'old pa' ask ... the girls to just touch them but usually no sex. The 'big men' ask for everything, kiss, oral sex and sex." Many adolescent girls in the study demonstrated little understanding of HIV or other health risks surrounding concurrent relationships. Lai said worldwide data showed an increase in teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV, due to transactional sex between girls and older men. FORCED TO SELL VIRGINITY FOR 23 CENTS Parents reacted differently to their daughter's behaviour, the research said. While fathers came down hard, mothers were often fully aware of their daughter's activities and chose to ignore them, or even encourage them. "If there is nothing at home, the mother will ask the girl to go out and 'find something'. This word is very common in the community. If your mother says this, you know what she means," said one girl. Another described how her friend lost her virginity for an onion. "My friend dropped an onion, she didn't have the money to replace it so she had to beg from a boy. They boy gave it to her for Le 1000 ($0.23) and then asked for sex. She lost her virginity to buy an onion," she said. Lai said poverty drove mothers to make difficult decisions. "You have to step into the shoes of a mother with four children. You are poor, you may be single, and the only way that you as a mother have seen in the past that you can make some money is by using your body. "As a mother, you can send one child out to somehow get some money, which will have a benefit for your other three children, or you have all four of your children suffer. These are the decisions that mothers face in Freetown on a daily basis." Lai says punishing mothers is not the answer. It's sex offenders who should be penalised. "We need income generating activities and to teach better parenting skills to mothers, who may have been brought up by teenager mothers themselves. The cycle of parenting has been broken and it's up to civil society to try and patch things up again," Lai said. "However, sex offences must be punished to the full extent of the law, which says anybody aged under 18 years is a child, and identifies any form of sexual relationship with a child as a offence warranting five to 15 years imprisonment."
