Jennifer Lopez Opens Her Ex-Files - Says Dancers and Singers are Better Lovers Than Actors

Posted: 20 Jun 2014 06:06 PM PDT

Just back from opening the World Cup, Jennifer Lopez is heavily promoting her latest album A.K.A.. Apart from her music, J-Lo is also known for her high profile relationships most long-lasting and a couple ending in marriage.

During an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Jennifer Lopez was put on the spot by the talk show host who wanted to know more about her exes. He asked who were better in bed amongst dancers, singers and actors?

Though she acted coy at first, JLo was surprisingly candid as she went ahead to answer the question.

"I have to say that in my limited experience, I would have to say anybody involved in music. So I would say singers and dancers.

I forgot my card. D***t. I could've pleaded the fifth. 'The best and worst part? I mean, there's no bad part to it, really. It's not about the fact that they're a dancer or not a dancer.

I've dated two dancers. One, I had a brief marriage with, Cris Judd, who is an amazing person and whom I love, and then Beau (Casper Smart), we just broke up, who I love as well. He's a good friend."

The only actor Jennifer Lopez dated is Ben Affleck, they were together for two years from 2002 till January 2004. The former couple were engaged for most of the time they were together, though they called off their wedding a few months before they finally went their separate ways.

Zendaya Insists She’s “Black Enough” For The Role of Aaliyah in Lifetime Movie

Posted: 20 Jun 2014 04:17 PM PDT

Zendaya Coleman  is to star and perform as Aaliyah in the Lifetime Original Movie but not everyone is happy about that. I got to know Zendaya as a very talented young lady during the last season of Dancing With the Stars, and I feel she could do the job.

however, many have criticized the producers of the movie for casting Zendaya beacuse they feel she appears too mixed-race to play Aaliyah, others say she is too light-skinned, period. Zendaya has gone on Twitter to respond to such criticisms of the movie which is based on the book, Aaliyah: More Than a Woman.

The 17-year-old Disney actress has also answered in more detail in a video obtained by TMZ. She said, while bringing her father into the camera;

"A lot of people say I'm not Black enough. Half Black is just enough. It doesn't matter what color you are, it's about how you portray the character. For those that don't know, Angela Bassett and Tina Turner, they look nothing alike but she was that character so I think that's what it's all about."

The Angela Basset and Tina Turner reference is to the movie, What's Love Got to Do with It where dark skinned Angela Basset played mixed race and lighter skinned Tina Turner.

Her father, Kazembe Ajamu further jokes in the video,

"They're shooting this in the summer. So Zendaya will spending lots of time in the sun. And she'll get dark enough."

Unfortunately, although she is right, we may never get to see the movie. More commentators have jumped on her fathers joke as being racially insensitive. Also, Aaliyah's family have proceeded with legal action to block the Lifetime network from creating and releasing the film.

Man Gets 95-Year Jail Term for 'Knowingly' Infecting 15-Year-Old Virgin with HIV

Posted: 20 Jun 2014 03:38 PM PDT

A 31-year-old man knew he had HIV when he had sex with a 15-year-old virgin he'd met on a chat line - but she didn't know until she became infected with the disease.

Reese met the girl, who is now 17, when she called a chat line in December 2012 and when her parents caught them talking on the phone, he assured them he was 18.

The two embarked on a seven-month relationship between 2012 and 2013 and after they met at a Dallas movie theater, Reese persuaded her to have sex with him in his car.

When she told him she was a virgin and had never had a boyfriend, he said it was probably because she'd never had sex. He said if she didn't have sex 'it would make a man want to cheat'. 'He told me he could see himself being with me,' she told Judge Pat McDowell in court. 'He was saying all the right things. He was telling me what I wanted to hear.'

Months later, Reese was arrested on drug charges and sent to jail, but he and the girl - who was still unaware that she had become infected with HIV - continued to stay in touch through letters.

She eventually fell ill, lapsing into a coma for two weeks and spending 40 days in hospital after her kidneys failed, and she was later diagnosed with HIV. During a phone call when she was in the hospital, Reese said he had 'symptoms' of HIV, but insisted he was 'clean'.

Her mother, who is just four years older than Reese, said that family members discovered his actual age in September when they looked up his criminal record and learned he had convictions for drug charges, family violence assault, evading arrest and resisting arrest.

When they confronted him about his real identity, he did not deny it, she told the court. The family then called police. The girl must now take medication every day to keep her viral load low.

'There was a point...where I wished death on him,' she said. 'I didn't deserve this. I don't like him at all.'

Matthew Louis Reese pleaded guilty to three charges, including aggravated sexual assault with a deadly weapon for repeatedly having sex with the girl without a condom.

Prosecutors requested he serves 95 years behind bars - aggravated sexual assault of a child with a deadly weapon, in exchange for 55 years, aggravated sexual assault with serious bodily injury, in exchange for 20 years, and sexual assault of a child, in exchange for 20 years.

Meagan Good Not Ashamed of Her Sex Appeal, Talks Nudity in Movies, Marriage and Faith - Rolling Out

Posted: 20 Jun 2014 01:49 PM PDT

Hollywood actress, Meagan Good stars in the new romantic comedy, Think Like a Man Too, and covers the latest issue of Rolling Out magazine.

The actress and pastor's wife has also made headlines in the past for her outfits [see here] which some complain show off too much of her body, and she also revealed to a lot of people's surprise that she and husband, Devon Franklin, waited to have sex till after marriage.

In a new cover story interview with Rolling Stone, Meagan says she refuses to conform to anyone's standard, and won't stop being Meagan just to please the public. And she isn't ashamed of her sex appeal. Read excerpts below...

"I have no problem with nudity — it just has to not be exploitative and it has to be important to tell the story. It depends on the script, the character, the story, the tone of the movie — all of those things. I commend women of every nationality that are bold enough to tell a story in a way that's fearless. I just haven't found a project where I felt it was necessary to do that. The scenes I've come across seemed exploitative and I just didn't do it."

My faith is everything to me, but I'm also extremely liberal and I believe in telling real people stories. If you're always trying to be this perfect character in everything, how can you be inspiring and do anything interesting? I like playing complicated characters who sometimes make bad choices. I like playing characters that do something questionable and ultimately the repercussions of their choices are kind of the lesson of the story. It's just that, once in a while, there's an extreme amount of nudity or the way that they're talking about God and or the way that they're dealing with something specific, [and] I'm like 'Yeah, I don't want to do that.' But every time I say 'no,' it leads to something better for me."

"I really don't think there's anything wrong with being sexy. God created our bodies as women. He created us to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be powerful, to be fearless — to be amazing. I do respect and understand the fact that when you come into the sanctuary, you need to be dressed appropriately because you are not the star — Jesus is the star. That I agree with 100 percent.

'Appropriately' is in each person's own heart and each person's own mind. When you speak to me about 'appropriately,' you're talking about a girl who, at 9 years old, was getting completely naked and dressed around a bunch of drag queens. So my upbringing and my experiences as an actress my entire life and the liberalness of my childhood and surroundings, [that shapes] my opinion of 'appropriate.' "

"Marriage has taught me that it's OK to let somebody take care of me. That it's OK to depend on somebody. I grew up being responsible for a lot of things — since I was 15 [I was] taking care of a lot of people. My father is amazing, but he wasn't in the home, so my mother raised us with the mentality of not needing anybody. We were never the girls that went after the guy that had the money because we were taught to have our own money. I've always been extremely independent to the point where it probably intimidated some guys. Now, it's nice to just feel like it's not a bad thing to trust someone to have your best interest at heart.

His acceptance of me has allowed me to grow in areas where I was struggling in the past because I felt so unaccepted. I was angry, and that anger created a rebellious spirit that didn't really want to change. Because it needed to be accepted first, before it could even consider being better. Marriage has made me better, assured me, made me happier; I'm way more at peace. I feel like I'm consistently growing into a better person and I feel like I can help him grow into a better person. He sees all the positive things in me that I felt like a lot of other people didn't see — I always felt very judged. I always felt like people were coming for me. He was the first person, outside of my sister or mother, who said 'I see you. I see who you really are.' "

"It's very clear in the [Ten] Commandments that you shouldn't have sex before marriage. And to me, you can't change the perception of that by saying 'Oh, I'm going to marry this guy one day, so technically that's my husband-in-spirit, so we can have sex now'. To me, that's taking away from the Word."

"I feel like religion can get very judgmental and a lot of people don't approach you with love. I try to be conscious of the responsibility I have as a Christian, but if I did everything everyone told me to do or tried to please everyone, I couldn't have my hair a particular way, I couldn't wear certain clothes, I couldn't play certain characters, I can't hang out with certain people, can't wear a certain amount of makeup — and you can't let people run your life. You have to look to God. People will fall in line."

For Naija Men - How NOT To Get A Wife In Nigeria If You Live Abroad

Posted: 20 Jun 2014 12:12 PM PDT

Men in diasporas are wising up, they don't go to Nigeria for wives as they have realised that those ladies are more dubious than the ladies in oyinbo land. If you live in abroad, may be in Europe, The Americas or anywhere, and you desperately need a wife from home, please follow these rules.

1. Do not let any lady you are interested in, know you live abroad in the first place, if she must know, tell her you are in Ghana or Uganda etc

2. Do not select lady who is well versed in the use of the internet, these are ladies who are advertising themselves nakedly on different websites to dupe unsuspecting men, they will jump on you and dump you as soon as they relocate with you.

3. Do not allow your relative or family member, may be brothers or sisters to help you find a lady, they will always choose someone they can use to get you.

4. Do not allow your friends who live abroad with you to suggest someone living in Nigeria to you; it may be a ploy to bring his girlfriend over especially if he is not documented.

5. Avoid ladies who are University graduates if you can, they will pretend until they relocate with you, and then got aware of the female friendly laws in Europe/USA and dump you as soon as possible. Many of them will end up quarrelling with you and becoming very argumentative and arrogant.

6. Avoid sending money to your fiancé or the lady you intend to marry, as you will soon become a money-miss-road, ''a laughing stock''

7. Avoid any lady that attends flashy Pentecostal churches, this may only be for pretence.

8. Insist on all medical tests before any wedding at all.

9. Please, forget about beauty, insist on a very sober lady with good characters, i.e. avoid sentiments

10. Avoid any lady that tells you she can manage a bottle of beer etc, you may be courting a prostitute.

11. Please, do not search for a Nigerian wife on dating website, you may not live to regret it.

12. If you finally visit Nigeria to see the lady you choose , please do not jump on the bed with her, try to avoid sex with her, she may coat herself with ''Jazz'', to tie you up.

13. As you are avoiding sex, please make sure you check all the body parts, like the bosoms, the tommy area, or you may even ''finger'' the private part to ''carbon date'' her experience and dating age.

14. If you can avoid a slim lady with very bursty chest, it will be better, because European men have great taste for these qualities or else you may end up finding your neighbour on top of your wife, or having a mullato/halfcast child.

A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE. , This piece was compiled based on my personal experience after living in Europe for 13 yrs, take care.

World Sickle Cell Day - Tosyn Bucknor is Thankful as She Talks About Life With Sickle Cell

Posted: 20 Jun 2014 02:02 AM PDT

"It's World Sickle Day and it's a day I can say I am thankful. Thankful for a dad that would miss work to take me to the hospital, a mum that would know I was ill before even I knew it and a sister that was the easiest and the best to live with.

Thankful for the years I spent full of self-pity (why me o Lord), and the depression, because without battling that, how else would I recognize it in others and help?

Thankful for the turn around. I can never fully explain it, but between writing poems, stories and thoughts down, I found a breakthrough. And even though it is uncool to talk about God, I can't deny that I had a personal encounter that changed my life.

Thankful because I honestly thought I would be dead by now. I didn't think I'd live past 21 so even though I enjoyed school and life, I had no plans for after. No plans to marry, have kids, work, nothing.

So imagine my surprise that I'm alive. Lol. Thankful for Fountain, QC, Unilag, Law School and any institution I have gone through. Thankful for the people who have employed me, trusted my brands in their hands without worrying about 'o I'm hiring a sickler o".

Thankful that I have a gift and a voice, and even though people think I should hide it, not be open about it, I am thankful that sickle cell is not, has never been, and will never be something to be ashamed of. Thankful for the phrase that changed my life- it is not how long you live that counts, but how well. Not everyone's sickle cell story is the same. That is why we need to keep talking. We have to #StopTheStigma and #FindACure I am a #SickleStar"
