Anambra kidnap gang leader arrested...Destroys two of His Mansions! [PHOTO]

Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano's determination to rid the state of criminals has yielded result, as a suspected kidnap gang leader, Okechukwu Nnaegbo, has been nabbed aboard a South African Airways flight at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

Nnaegbo, who has confessed to being the shadowy figure behind the recent high-profile kidnap cases in the state, was on his way to South Africa to evade the onslaught against criminals, when a team of detectives from the Special Anti-robbery Squad in Anambra, in collaboration with their Lagos State counterparts, pounced on him inside the aircraft.

Nnaegbo, who hails from Nri in Anaocha Local Government, is believed to be the leader of a gang of armed robbers and kidnappers, who made life miserable for Ndi Anambra until the recent launch of "Operation Kpochapu", a special anti-crime task force, by the Obiano administration.

Commissioner of Police Usman A. Gwary said the suspect was aboard the Johannesburg-bound plane when he was arrested by his men with the assistance of airport security operatives.

Nnaegbo's arrest climaxed a week of successful counter-offensive against kidnappers in Anambra, which saw members of the "Operation Kpochapu" demolishing two buildings that belonged to suspected kidnappers.

One of the buildings belonged to Nonso Mgbe, a 25-year-old suspected kidnapper from Azia village in Ihiala Local Government, who is believed to have been responsible for the death of a former commander of the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) of the state police command. He was also said to have been responsible for other high-profile kidnap cases.

As Mgbe's storey building was being demolished, villagers shook their heads.

A nine-bedroom bungalow belonging to another suspected kidnapper, Okechukwu Amasiatu of Ezinifite in Nnewi South Local Government, was also demolished by "Operation Kpochapu".

He was suspected to have been behind the kidnap of highly-placed indigenes. He was also reported to have been the mastermind of the killing of five policemen at Emeka Offor junction in Oraifite, Nnewi.

Sources at Ezinifite said Amasiatu lived in Lagos but chose his village and the neighbouring towns and villages as targets to carry out his criminal activities. They said his elder brother, Chimaobi, was shot by the police in a shoot-out, following a tip-off on the activities of his gang.

Obiano said his administration was determined to rescue Anambra from criminals.

The governor used the opportunity to reiterate his administration's effort to discourage youths from committing crimes, saying a comprehensive databank was being compiled to give them jobs.

He advised youths to participate in the exercise organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Yoruba actress, Bimbo Akinsanya, who was once accused of an attempted murder but was eventually discharged and acquitted by a Lagos court, has finally walked down the aisle with her heartthrob.

Few weeks ago, the popular Yoruba movie star held a marriage introduction in Lagos at the house of her parents. The event was attended by close friends of the actress along with her family members.

On Saturday, May 24, 2014, colleagues, close associates and family members of Bimbo gathered for her marriage ceremony, which also took place in Lagos. The new couple held their traditional marriage. It was gathered that the occasion was not a lousy one.

‘I Go Die’ Arrested For Robbery & Kidnapping In Delta! [PHOTO]

A man nicknamed 'I Go Die' (not the popular comedian, Francis Agoda, 'I Go Dye') has been arrested in Delta State by the police for an alleged robbery and kidnapping.

'I Go Die', whose real name is Oghenewerute Efeyeme, was nabbed alongside his alleged accomplices; Oghenetaga Onome and Voke Erhiaware, popularly known as Simple. They were apprehended on Monday while trying to collect some amount of money from the victim, who they allegedly threatened to kidnap if he fails to part with some cash.

The accused also reportedly carried out a robbery operation along Sanubi/Eku Highway in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, where they allegedly shot and molested their victims.

According to reports, police in the state caught the suspects at St. Bridges' Secondary School gate, in Asaba, where they had gone to pick the sum of N2million from their victim. They were said to have threatened the victim via a text message.

It was also reported that the Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu confirmed the arrest and disclosed that the suspects would be charged to court soon.

The concerned UK members have also gone on to create a Facebook page demanding to know the whereabouts of Rev. Anita Oyakhilome, the wife of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
According to their pages, Rev. Anita Oyakhilome hasn't been seen in Christ Embassy Church where she Pastors since November, 2013, and there were no explanations given, as to her suddenly disappearance and the church has been left without a pastor since then. The members also claim that nobody knows the whereabouts of Rev. Anita Oyakhilome either.

It was a normal day 4 students n children and as usual, we all converge @ d stadium 4 fun. After some minutes,one of ma naughty fwends asked me: Who is your girlfriend? I answered: don't worry, I have not seen my taste. They all booed me and said that's what I say all d time.They all decided to test whether I was man enough 2 approach a girl or not. I was frightened coz I was such a shy person. I pleaded against the idea that next time,I would surprise them. They declined too that *today na today* one of them, Deji by name went into d midst of where many students gathered and came back with a dark skinned lady. Guess what I said as excuse? I said "I hate dark gels. They are like devil to me" they are pushed me out saying "you see one, you they complain". If you can talk to this one, then we believe You are man enough. East became West, South became North. The 4 Cardinal point then met in my head. I summoned up courage because if I ddnt, class would be very hot 4 me d next day.I attended boys only and they really knew hw to make jest of someone until you cry n beg 4 mercy. The whole school would knw what happened. I moved closer to dis dark lady with one thing in my mind. *It won't pass slap now*. With galaxy of confusion on what to say and how, I spoke with fidgety at last. "My name is Saheed Bidemi" she replied: *I am Fatima Bidemi*. I was soooo happy and my mind was coming back to normal. She was even bearing same name with me I said in my mind. I couldn't say much, I asked the school she was attending nd her class and she replied in good manner. Now how do I propose? Hmmmmmm. No word to use and infact,one mind was telling me to just tell her that's all. Another said,say it anyhow. Then I followed my 2nd mind and said "Can we be close friends? Using my hands 2 gesticulate d world *close* by locking my 2 index fingers against each other beacuse she could hardly hear d word *close* from my mouth. Immediately I said that, my @ was already in my throat. She paused for 3seconds and said: "No, am not interested". Guess what, to me, whether yes or no,my mission has been accomplished. In the corner of my left eye,I could see my friends, Deji, Isa and Alonge charging me up by signalling thumps up. After her response, I said thank you, and kept quiet. After some seconds of silence, she asked me "can I go please?" With all the joy from my @, I smiled and said Yes. I was happy 4 2 things: 1. I won against my friends. 2. I broke the deadlock of How to Approach a lady. I ddnt even care about her response. She left and I returned to my fwends with a very huge smile. They all ran towards me and hug me. Now you are a man they said. I even told them she said YES (Students' things nw). They said that was rehearsal 4 me that for them to believe am a man,I must go 2nd round. I almost fainted. With reluctance and argument, another gel was brought. This one was taller than me. I feared. Whew!!! I summoned up courage. I have done this once, so I could go again. I repeated the same process as that of the first approach but this girl seemed to *sabi* English than I did then. Many questions I couldn't answer coz I ddnt knw what to say. I was new in the game. I only took up academic challenge then but this challenge seemed like wall of Jericho. I hurriedly discharged her before she disgrace me. I went with my head up to my friends and they saluted me. They said "Now, we are friends and we believe you be baba". The second day at school, rumour travels faster than plane. Some were hailing me and some were asking questions how did it go? I replied with great smile,as usual now. I was so happy. I gained respect from this guys. Hey!!! that was d last time I saw the 2 girls nor write to them. Only our parents were using phones then. So, no way to contact. After a year and some months, I heard that "My dark skinned girl* was attending my former lesson. I wrote to her many times and she replies after I could let her rest. Her letter was 4 pages of higher education note book with 10 different questions.. Whew!!! At last, I sat after school with my friends and we did justice to the questions. She later invited me to come. I went to see her after school and I took along 2 greeting cards ; success in exam card and I love you card. That was how I became a lover and that *Dark skinned girl that looks like devil* then, is my very beautiful wife and divine companion today. That event was about 10years ago. So, @ every children's day celebration. I always remmber that funny day and laughed. She used to tease me most times coz of the drama I was acting in front of her that day.

The students of Adamawa state University are in fear after they have received several letters over the past two weeks, from who they believe are boko haram.Initially they felt it was a prank until the latest letter which was attached with a pound of flesh and dripping blood.

A source has told SaharaReporters that the letters are believed to be real, coming directly from Boko Haram.

The students are now living in fear.Most of those who use the only hostel available to men have not slept there over the past weekend. The hostel, also known as 'Barde Hall,was nearly empty of students beginning on Saturday evening. Barde Hall, is also popularly known as "256" by many in the student body. It is a popular 'hang out' spot for many of the students attending. It is also seen as a safe space, and resting place, that normally has scores of students milling around outside during the academic year. Many of the students did not sleep, or 'hang out' at the hostel on Saturday night. It was ghostly quiet.

A student also said that the atmosphere at the hostel worsened on Sunday night. In room A5, a student confided that, he was the only person that slept the night in his room.Another student said that many of the occupants had fled to the nearby town to seek shelter instead, where they believe it to be a much safer place.

Yet, the tension Monday morning picked-up, when students in Barde Hall awoke and found a letter placed on a wall that was written in the Hausa language. The letter, when translated into English, reads, "Last warning."But this time around, it had a pound of flesh clipped to the letter. It dripped with blood, and was described as somewhat black in colour, though looking as if it was not long since this section of human flesh it was cut off.

This caused panic among many of the students at the hostel. The Vice Chancellor according to a SaharaReporters source reportedly insisted that nothing will change with the school's academic calendar. Strangely, the students were told that their exams will be held as earlier scheduled.

As it stands now, many of the Adamawa State University students have packed their bags, and also, reportedly, packing out of the hostel.

The "256" is in a place many of the departing students feel is especially vulnerable, in large part because, physically, it is isolated, and neighbored by bush, with just a few farms located behind the building. In short, for many it is too easy a target with a school administration almost detached from their concerns over whether the threatening letters received are real, or not.

Heartbreaking! AAUA 300 Level Student Killed By Bus Driver In Ondo State. (See Photo)

A promising young man identified as Segun Adesuyan was crushed to death by an inpatient bus driver yesterday in Akungba Akoko in Ondo state.

His colleagues said he was rushing to meet up with lecture when he got knocked down by an inpatient driver.

His body has been released to his family and has since been buried.

Here is a statement from the school registrar, Mr Bamidele Olotun:

"The students' spontaneous reaction was sparked by misinformation that the deceased was knocked down by a mini bus called agolo in local parlance and that the assailant driver ran away.

"This misinformation has since been refuted by the Police who confirmed that the driver reported himself at the Police station and that he and the Toyota Corolla car were in their custody.

"This clarification has calmed the nerves of the rampaging students and the situation has since been brought under control.

"The corpse has been released to the parents and has since been buried.

"The university expresses deep condolences to the family of the deceased, the students body and the entire university community on the unfortunate loss of the promising young man.

"The university would like to appeal to all students to go about their normal academic activities as peace has now returned to the campus."

Late Adesuyan's corpse was moved to his parents house in Akure on Monday evening for burial. Before the ambulance got there, people were already outside crying in the heavy rain.

The dean of students affairs, the students president, vp, the senate president, deputy senate president and some, his departmental president and some sug members were all present at the burial.

Nollywood star Actress Moji Olaiya seeks support for FG’s transformation of entertainment industry

Miss Moji Olaiya, a Nollywood actress, on Monday called on stakeholders in the entertainment sector to support the Federal Government's Transformation Agenda.

Olaiya in Lagos said that every Nigerian should be an entertainment ambassador.

She said Nigerians should create opportunities through attitudes geared towards the promotion of African music and culture.

"The entertainment practitioners have to encourage tourists to visit Africa because earnings, revenues and resources are meagre and highly competitive.

"It is only when you attract them through quality songs and services that tourists and visitors will patronise Africa and increase our revenue earnings.

"So, it is high time the entertainers encouraged visitors and tourists to patronise the industry by producing quality songs and rendering good services required by foreigners,'' Olaiya said.

She said that the development of the entertainment industry was the collective responsibility of all.

Olaiya called on Nigerians in general to also join forces in making the entertainment transformation agenda of the Federal Government a reality.

She urged entertainment practitioners to partner with the Association of Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP), to re-invent and reposition the industry for sustainable national economic growth.

Olaiya said that the entertainment industry would develop, if the Federal Government pays adequate attention to the sector.

"The industry will fetch the government huge revenue, if well funded.

"Adequate funding will make the Nollywood industry compete with its foreign counterparts on a near equal footing, " she added. (NAN)

He wears slack or puffy clothes. This gives the impression that his body is excessively larger than his head or feet.

Former World's heaviest man died at the age of 48 after being confined to his bed for years and unable to walk on his own.Manuel Uribe who had a record peak weight of 1,230 pounds, certified in 2006 as a Guinness World Record only left his home once for his wedding ceremony in 2008.
An official said Uribe had been taken to the hospital with a crane by emergency and civil defense workers,because of an abnormal heartbeat.
