TO BAD!!! Police have reduced the number of people that died today when twin bombs went off at Terminus market in Jos, to 42, but some eye-witnesses insist the number is way higher than that...marking it up to over 200 because it's the commercial hub of the city and was filled with people when the blast occurred.

A footballer has died from the injury he suffered on the pitch following a horror challenge during an Indonesian Premier League match.

Persiraja striker Akli Fairuz (in orange) was injured after taking a boot to the body from PSAP Sigli goalkeeper Agus Rahman as the pair raced for the ball in the area.

Players, clearly incensed by the tackle, clashed on the pitch while the referee had to be moved away by security.

Fairuz was substituted but managed to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines. However, the attacker later took a turn for the worse and had to be admitted to hospital. It was soon discovered that Fairus had suffered bladder leakage and, a few days after the match, passed away from his internal injuries. Sad. May his soul rest in peace. President Jonathan strongly condemns Jos Bomb Blast (Read press statement)

That no effort will be spared to stop the proliferation of small arms and light weapons and the supply of arms and equipment made available to terrorists.

    President Jonathan considers these measures very useful aspects of the concerted international effort to combat terrorism and put an end to the Boko Haram menace. In addition, the President, in Abuja, today, directed relevant government agencies to ensure enhanced implementation of the following programmes in the areas affected by Boko Haram atrocities:

    (i)      Emergency relief assistance: The intensification of on-going relief assistance programmes by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)) in partnership with donor agencies. The programme will ensure rapid deployment of relief assistance to the affected local government areas and communities. This will include provision of food supplies, medical supplies, basic relief commodities, and conditional cash transfer programmes for affected households;

    (ii)     Rapid needs assessment: To support additional intervention programmes in the region, the President has also directed that on-going rapid needs assessment by government agencies should be accelerated to identify affected communities and households and assess the extent of damage to public and private infrastructure, amongst others.

    (iii)    Safety of schools: President Jonathan has also reiterated Nigeria's determination to ensure the safety and security of schools in Borno and other parts of the country and also provide counselling services to any affected students to enable them return to school and continue with their academic work.
    Furthermore, the Federal Government of Nigeria will rebuild the Chibok School and fortify security in schools. In collaboration with the UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Education, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the private sector, the government will launch the "Safe Schools Initiative" which will address security issues; re-build the destroyed schools; and provide equipment and materials.

While actress Ini Edo is from Onna Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, South-South Nigeria, her so-called twin sister is from Benue State. She is a Benue State University graduate from Oturkpo. But, still striking resemblance!

Breaking: Over 200 killed this afternoon in Jos twin bomb blast ( See Heartbraking Photos)

The bomb explosion that occurred this afternoon at the densely populated Terminus Market near Murtala Mohammed way in Jos is more serious than we thought. The twin explosion, which occurred 30 minutes apart, reportedly killed at least 200 people according to eye-witnesses, making it deadlier than the Nyanya blast.

The bomb was planted in two cars, a Peugeot J5 van and a Toyota Sienna SUV with a Gombe state license plate number. Eye-witnesses said the car had been parked near the busy market since early this morning and had even drawn the curiosity of people in the area who allegedly alerted the police. It exploded many hours later.

Popular US actor Michael Jace has been arrested for shooting his wife dead at their South Los Angeles home. According to cbsnews, the actor, best known for his role on The Shield as Julien Lowe, a gay police officer struggling with his s*xual identity, called 911 late last night Monday May 19th and confessed to shooting his wife of nine years.
When police got to their home at Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park, they were met by Michael Jace, 51, and discovered April Jace, 40, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, NBC reports.

April Jace was declared dead by paramedics at the scene. The couple's two children, both boys under the age of 10, were in the home at the time of the shooting but LA police said it is unclear whether the boys witnessed the shooting and still do not know why the actor shot his wife dead.

Yesterday! Presidential spokesman Reuben Abati tweeted photos of some "soldiers in action"... he made us all believe that the soldiers were already in action and ready to engage Boko Haram over abducted Chibok schoolgirls.

He however got busted this morning when some someone found that the same photo he posted was a 2012 photo and not of the troops in action to rescue the missing girls.

A blogger, Beegeagle had published the picture on his blog in 2012.

Rev King Is In Prison But See What's Happening In His Church. Reporter shares her experience

Seven years after the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Lagos, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, aka Reverend King, was convicted for murder and attempted murder, FOLASHADE ADEBAYO attended a service in the church.

Read her encounter below:

Last Sunday was another anniversary celebration of the Christian Praying Assembly, Isolo, Lagos. But as at 9 am when our correspondent got there, the imposing three black gates of the church were still shut. If not for a number of cars parked opposite the church and a middle-aged man who stood by one of the imposing gates, praying earnestly, one would have concluded that the church, founded by the convicted Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, also known as Rev. King, was on a recess.
Rev. King was convicted and sentenced to death for murder and attempted murder in 2007 by a Lagos High Court. He was said to have doused six members of his church members, including one Uzoh, with petrol for acts of fornication. Uzoh died on August 2, 2006. Last year, the Court of Appeal, Lagos, upheld the judgment.
But more than seven years after his conviction, the beat still goes on at his church.

Approaching the man by the gate, our correspondent made to go inside the church. She was quickly waved aside by the man who directed her opposite the church where two men stood, praying against activities of witches and wizards.
Our correspondent, who had earlier visited the church last Friday to take pictures, sauntered to join the men in their muted prayers. That Sunday, she was no more a journalist. She decided to come in as a member of the church to experience how service unfolds now that King is away.
Apart from the cries of children, no sound came from the temple – a matter that spiked the curiosity of our correspondent. For a long time, the men, who spotted slight goatees, prayed.
"Every activity of witches and wizards in my kidney, my liver, stop right now in the name of Jesus. Stop in the name of my Daddy G.O,'' prayed one man. By this time, three other worshippers had joined the queue outside the church.
After 30 minutes, a voice was heard over the microphone bringing the prayer to a close. A hefty man who had also been standing opposite the church approached the heavy gate and slightly opened it. Quickly, worshippers who had been waiting outside filed in.
The CPA is an expansive church indeed. It was almost filled to capacity. Our correspondent noted that there were no children's classes. Children and teenagers sat inside the church with the adults. This Sunday, the pillars of the church were decorated in the national colours of green and white. Fat coolers containing food and crates of soft drinks occupied a large section at the back of the church. It was the 2014 anniversary celebration of the CPA.
Contrary to what might be the expectations of some people, the absence of Rev King, whose life-size pictures graced every available space in the premises, had little or no effect on the number of worshippers. It was obvious that the incarcerated clergyman still commands a tight rein on his loyal flock.
Testimonies and announcement began with phrases such as, 'Our G.O is the mighty healer, he lives forever in Jesus' name.' Our G.O is the unchangeable changer. Our daddy G.O shall live forever for us in Jesus' name.'
Worshippers were gaily dressed and appeared happy throughout the service. Choir members looked distinct in angelic white gowns and white turbans. However, a uniform attire stood out of the pack. It was an Ankara fabric with a picture of Rev King. Written on the fabric, which was sewn into different styles by many of the members, was, "The man of the moment. His holiness, the most honorable Dr Rev King, General Overseer, CPA Worldwide. I am healthy and wealthy.'
Only two people officiated throughout the protracted service. There was no formal sermon, only 31 messages or items purportedly sent by King to his church were delivered. The officiating minister was on item six when our correspondent arrived.
Solemnly, he read out the message, repeating every word where necessary.
"There is someone here in the entire CPA worldwide. Your problem is that when you deliver a child, the child will die. God has delivered you from this menace as a result of His blessing upon CPA worldwide. You shall from today give birth to children that will live,'' he declared. The declaration was greeted with loud clapping.
"Anything you eat or drink here today will remove diseases and stroke from your body', 'Any blocked ear here today shall be opened through this refreshment.' 'Will poverty remain? No, it must go with its brothers and sisters."
Each declaration came with a different requirement. While some read like a prayer, to which members chorused 'Amen', some requested members to pray for 15 minutes, five minutes or sing for "at least 30 minutes to one hour."
It was observed that aside the standard rule of locking out of members during prayers, there was a general feeling of liberty among members. For instance, while some prayed standing up, the majority sat down and prayed unconvincingly with their eyes open. Some did not even pray.
The dressing pattern was also generally far from conservative. Mini skirts, sleeveless clothing and skin-tight dresses flooded the church. One or two men, even male choir members, spotted dreadlocks.
But the church came alive with King's instruction to sing, dance and shake hands with one another. In item 27, he ordered worshippers to "sing a song of praises and shouts of praises to our God up to 30 minutes for this anniversary of today. Let us shake hands with one another.'
Members left their seats at the front, shaking hands and swaying their bodies in every direction. That was a brief 'meet and greet' moment which afforded members an opportunity to fraternise. They brought out smart phones, ipads and cameras and freely migrated to the back of the church to take shots. That was a great opportunity for our correspondent to also take photographs.
Testimonies were read out by the same man. One of the testimonies came from a man who claimed to have been healed of diabetes.
"I used to urinate anyhow. The first day I came to CPA, I was able to stay without urinating throughout the service. During the G.O's message, he said diseases could not kill us whether we drank it through water or breathe it in the air. Our daddy G.O lives forever in Jesus' name."
The announcement of activities for this week was however read by a woman. She mounted the altar and first prayed that, "Our Daddy G.O shall live forever for us in Jesus' name."
Pregnant women are expected at the church for ante natal classes on Wednesday by 4:30pm, a vigil was slated for Thursday night. The children's church comes up on Friday by 4pm while members were mandated to hold Bible study in every home this Saturday for at least one hour.
Parents were instructed to see one Sylvester King for the collection of the CPA's child dedication certificate. The announcer dedicated ample time to remind members of the G.O's special offering which comes up next Sunday. Grace, Fire and Disciplinarian ministries were also reminded of their thanksgiving next Sunday.
When the officiating minister returned to the podium, it was to read the 'G.O's dismissal prayer'. But that was after he read out item 31 from their convicted cleric: "I will stop right now until next time. I love you all in Jesus' name.''

Too Bad Lagos trader loses N5m buried underground her shop ( See Photo)

An unidentified trader was said to have lost huge sums of money buried in her shop to the fire incident that razed Daleko Market, Mushin, Lagos State on Sunday.A Punch journalist could see the huge hole in the shop where the money was said to have been buried.
One of the traders, said the trader was in the habit of keeping her money in the underground, instead of a bank.

"The woman usually keeps money in her shop, and would use her goods to cover it.But we are not sure if the whole money was destroyed by the fire. The theory here is that those that arrived first at the market saw the money and stole it."

But an attempt to speak with the said shop owner was unsuccessful as she was said to have gone to Alausa with other market leaders.

Owner of Monaco football club has been ordered to pay a world record divorce settlement of more than £2.6 billion to his ex-wife.

According to Mail online, Judges in Switzerland said Dmitry Rybolovlev, 47, has to give Elena Rybolovleva, who was with him for 24 years, a very precise 4,020,555,987 Swiss francs and 20 centimes.

It follow a six year legal saga in which Mr Rybolovlev, who made his billions through a successful fertiliser business, bitterly contested Ms Rybolovlev's claims to two of the most expensive properties in the USA and a £100million Greek island.

Now Mr Rybolovlev must sign a cheque for the incredible sum in the Swiss city of Geneva, where Ms Rybolovlev lives in a lakeside mansion.

Meet the 20-yr-old Nigerian who emerged best student at Dillard University (If wanna be inspired, read this)

Nigerians rock! Merrilyn Akpapuna, a 20-year-old psychology major and business management minor from Delta State has emerged the best graduating student at the Dillard University, New Orlean.

Akpapuna who finished with a first class honours, won two other awards for highest academic achievements from the College of Arts and Sciences and College of General Studies.

Her other awards and recognition include;

The Daniel C. Thompson/Samuel Dubois Cook Honours Programme, Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honour Society, Dean's List of Scholars, 1st Place for exceptional work in Algebra Relay, National Institute of Science, Beta Kappa Chi Honour Society, Alpha Kappa Mu national Honour Society, and Psi Chi National Honour Society.

Marrilyn made a cumulative grade point average of 4.0. In other words, she made an A in every course she took during her four years study at Dillard. She was also the best student in her class in the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination at the Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos before she proceeded to study on a full scholarship in Dillard University.

"I was very angry with every kind of man, anyone that called himself a man… It's only that I could not manage to hunt and kill them but my desire was to use any weapon to kill men – because one of them killed me. Inside me, I said to myself, 'I will never tell them my status. Whoever comes to me, I will finish him. The way they infected me, I must infect them also.' I don't know how many men I infected but they are thousands."
This is the true-life, shocking story of Francis, a pr*stitute who spent 18 of her 32 years on earth in the s*x trade, sleeping with up to six men daily in the major cities of Tanzania and Namibia.
It chronicles her diabolical form of revenge after discovering she was HIV/AIDS Positive in 2006 and her remarkable turnaround at an unlikely destination in Lagos, Nigeria.

Growing up in a rural village in Tanzania, the thrills of 'city life' grew increasingly more attractive for Francis, a fourteen year old who hated school and was notoriously rebellious. Striking a plan with friends, she abandoned school one fateful day and set out for Dar Es Salaam, the Tanzanian capital, leaving her home and family behind.
"When we reached the city, I found a lot of girls who were older than me who were in this business of pr*stitution," Francis explained. "They introduced me how to behave in order to seduce men and get clients." Two years down the line aged 16, the young girl was already pregnant for an unknown father. Attempts to abort the child through native concoctions all failed and she resolved to return home to have her child.
However, the desire to pr*stitute continued even after giving birth. "I was even pr*stituting when I was breastfeeding and eventually, my mum took the child away from me." Francis immediately returned to the city, linking back up with her group. Four years later, Francis' mum sent a message to her that a family relative was willing to take her to Namibia to save the family from shame and get her out of the 'mess'. She eventually agreed.
"When I reached Namibia, I felt I was imprisoned. I couldn't go to clubs, smoke, drink or meet men – which is what I wanted to do." Fighting her aunt daily, she eventually threw Francis out of her home. "It was celebration for me that I can go back to the same lifestyle. I already made a group of friends that were pr*stituting… They introduced me to the area where I could hunt for men and sleep with them."
Living a lavish and promiscuous life on the streets of Windhoek, Namibia, Francis had lost all touch with her family. 'Business' was booming due to the influx of foreign workers in the city who would regularly patronise her and also introduced her to hard drugs. However, the consequences of her actions were about to catch up on her.
"In 2006, I discovered that I was pregnant again. I didn't know the father because I was sleeping with five or six men a day – I just wanted money to enjoy," she recounted. Encouraged by a fellow pr*stitute not to abort, Francis visited a hospital when the pregnancy reached six months where they conducted several tests. "That is when I discovered I was HIV/AIDs positive." Shock. Bitterness. Rage. Emotions ran wild within the heart of the young s*x-worker. "There was this voice that said – 'Now, it's better you die!' "
Knowing that death was close, the embittered pr*stitute resolved to take as many men as possible along with her. "I cannot count how many men I have infected. If any man told me we should use a condom, I would tell him, 'Look at how I look? I cannot have such a disease.' So, the man would end up trusting me. They are thousands."
Francis expanded her 'business' horizons via the internet, particularly using the dating social network 'Eskimi'. It was in 2013 that she encountered a Nigerian man while looking for a more 'serious' relationship. "The man became attracted to me and asked for my contact details. He told me he wanted to come to Namibia and visit me." When the Nigerian arrived, the couple forged a relationship, culminating in Francis falling pregnant. She did not divulge her health status.
After giving birth, Francis had a bout of guilt and visited a pastor at Christ Embassy Church to confess her sins. "After confessing to the pastor, who is also a Nigerian, he met the father of my child and asked if he really knew me. He told him, 'This girl confessed to me that she is HIV/AIDS Positive.' " Francis' Nigerian lover fainted upon hearing the news and was rushed to hospital.
After recovering, he 'ran away' from her, moving to Angola. However, their young baby was nearing the age of nine months. Francis was desperate. Her finances were stagnant and she was tired of pr*stitution. After pleading with the Nigerian, a settlement was eventually reached. "He said the only thing he would do for me was to give me money to go to Nigeria and drop the child with his parents."
Some weeks earlier, a friend had introduced Francis to a Christian television station which was gaining increasing popularity in Namibia.
It was Emmanuel TV, the station of Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua.
Seizing the opportunity to visit Nigeria, Francis decided to visit the famous church in Lagos after she had dropped off her son. "When I arrived in Lagos, they put me in a car and took me straight to a state called Enugu. I only stayed one week there. Then I had to search for The Synagogue."
On Sunday 27 th April 2014, Miss Francis sat gingerly in the huge auditorium of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos. It was the time of prayer from the 'wise men' and she was nervous. "Before the wise man came close, I felt like electricity dividing my body and I started shivering. I don't know what happened when he prayed for me." Francis received 'deliverance' from the 'demon' that pushed her to a life of pr*stitution.
The following week, Sunday 4 th May 2014, Francis publicly gave her confession in the crowded church. "I am here to kneel down and ask the whole world, every man I encountered, to forgive me," she tearfully said, explaining that after her 'deliverance' she began regretting her actions for the first time. She went further to send a poignant message to her fellow s*x-workers. "There is no benefit in pr*stitution. The end of pr*stitution is bitterness and sorrow. I advise youth – if you are in the same situation I was in, let me be an example in your eyes. Drop that lifestyle immediately and seek the face of God."
Francis stayed another week in the Nigerian church after which T.B. Joshua gave her the sum of $1,500 to restart her life in Namibia. "I will never return to pr*stitution. I am so grateful to God," she concluded.

Madness: Customs Officer baths woman with Acid (Graphic pic)

A Nigerian Custom officer named Mr Nwaeze who heads the Customs unit at Mosafejo Aradagun, has been accused of allegedly attacking a woman identified as Ms Tope Fadipe with acid after an argument over money.

Sahara Reporters reports that Ms Fadipe, who served as a salesgirl at a local food business run by Mr Nwanze's family for 3 years, was attacked by an angry Nwaeze on Friday May 9th, after she argued with him when he accused of her of not remitting N50,000 into the business account.

After the acid attack, the matter was reported at the Badagry Police Station, and Mr. Nwaeze had boasted that no one could arrest him. On Saturday, the 10th of May, one day after the incident, Mr. Nwaeze was said to have appeared at the Police Station, and had returned shortly afterwards to show he is above arrest. Continue...

Currently, residents say, Nwaeze belched his car radio speakers loudly whenever driving in the street, with a carriage posting to show that he is above impunity since the May 9th incident.
A resident in the street told SaharaReporters that it is part of Mr. Nwaeze's forte, to "intimidate and oppress people with impunity," due to his status as a Customs Officer.
The victim, Tope Fadipe, is currently being treated for her severe burns at the Badagry General Hospital. Witnesses and doctors say her condition is worsening since that attack.
Saharareporters learned through a medical source that, Nwaeze has now tried to secretly collect Ms. Tope from the hospital, without giving off any hint what he wants to do with her.
