INCREDIBLE!! Meet the miracle man that walked out of the Lagos Airport plane crash Alive!!

Posted: 04 Oct 2013 09:33 AM PDT

Akinsanya, son- in-law of the late former Governor Olusegun Agagu whose body was being conveyed to Akure, the Ondo State capital from Lagos for burial, walked out of the remains of the Embraer 120 aircraft.

Akinsanya, along with his brother in-law, Mr. Feyi Agagu, the late Agagu's son, were the only family members of the late governor on board the ill-fated plane.

As it turned out, they were among the seven survivors. As the aircraft crashed, Akinsanya, a Lagos businessman, was seen walking out of the wreckage before the aircraft caught fire. He suffered a minor injury on his head.

As he walked away, apparently conscious, Air Force men who were among the first set of rescuers at the site, stopped him. They assisted him to stop the flow of blood on his head. He told them he wanted to go home to join his family, according to an eyewitness.

But the Air Force personnel told him he was under the Federal Government's custody and could not go. They took him to the nearby Air Force clinic.

The eye witness said: "I saw one man walk out on his legs. I think he is the only one that walked out."

It was gathered that Aklinsanya broke the news of the crash to the burial party waiting at the Akure airport to receive the body of the former governor, which was to lie in-state in the Ondo State capital yesterday.

He reportedly spoke to Mr. Femi Agagu, the late former governor's younger brother, who broke the news to Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who was leading the burial party.

The airline, in a statement, expressed deep regrets and "with all submission to the will of the Almighty" confirmed the "unfortunate accident of one of our aircraft".

The statement added: "The aircraft was chartered for a flight to Akure on the 3rd of October, 2013.

"We are currently cooperating fully with the aviation regulatory authorities with a view to establishing the remote and immediate causes of this most regrettable and unfortunate accident.

"Our prayers go to the affected families of the departed. We pray for their souls to rest in peace while we continue to wish and pray for the speedy and full recovery of the survivors of this grave and sad accident."

"I Have learnt from my mistakes" - Jim Iyke Reveals..

Posted: 04 Oct 2013 09:09 AM PDT

His name is James Ikechukwu but many  know him as Jim Iyke. He talks about his personality and career

With kidnap cases being a common trend, do you entertain fears that you could be a victim?

There is a certain way I live and I believe people only attract what they feel and what they love. So, if I have fears, what I would attract would be fears and misgivings. I am completely fearless about these things because it is a law of attraction. I have no fear of gunmen or kidnappers because I have not wronged anybody for them to want to harm me. I drive out at 2am and go back to my house at 4am. I just believe that every morning when I get on my knees and pray, God knows my intention. He knows that I am going for my daily bread and I am not in anybody's way. Though, I have made my mistakes, I have  repented  from  them and go  about my business. There are basic laws of existence which people should not violate. If you have the fear of the unknown all the time, you will  attract negative things to yourself. I don't live like that.   I am a typical Lagos boy and I have been around all kinds of crimes and none ever got to me.

Now that you have joined the league of celebrities running reality shows, what   aspect of your personality will you portray?

I don't know if I should call it shocking, but I like moving around my house naked. I feel I am always dressed in public, so when I am inside my house, I should enjoy the freedom that comes from not being tied down with clothes.  So, you will see me moving around with parts of my body blurred by the camera.

There is an impression you are  an arrogant and unfriendly person?

One of the reasons I am running the show is to allow people see and understand a lot of things about the real me.  I deal with people on a daily basis and they do not understand that certain pressures can make somebody appear rude or arrogant. Shyness can make someone appear rude and unfriendly.  But the show will feature the pressure I go through daily and the way I cope with that pressure.

What kind of pressure are you talking about?

There are so many. It is not easy to have your life constantly scrutinised. This is Lagos, there is so much pressure coupled with lack of basic human amenities. These factors can contribute to the pressure a man has to cope with.

Why did  you go into fashion?

Yes. I realised that since I don't shoot as many movies as I did in the past, I can do other things. I have made that point clear-it is not about quantity anymore, it is about quality and I am very careful about what I do now.  The last movie I featured in, 'last flight to Abuja' was what ushered in this project I am doing now.   In this business, you are as good as your last job.
In fashion, one can either be an admirer or an investor. My lifestyle as a fashion admirer and consumer has cost me a lot of money. I made an inventory of how much I have spent on fashion and cars as well as the houses I have lived in. I reasoned that it was time to turn my passion into an enterprise.   Since I like fashion, I decided to go into boutique management, now I can buy clothes for myself and others. I can make money from it instead of just spending.

Do labels influence your choice of clothes?

I am not brand crazy, but it happens that the best clothes are made by the big brands, take it or leave it.  The designer labels cost a lot of money but there is a healthy competition; which is why I find the fashion market very interesting.   I have discovered that everybody is heading towards the same direction. I have been to factories that make goods for Gucci. There are people working on a smaller scale and these are the ones I hire to make my clothes and they give me what I want.  However, I always buy what I know I would look good in.

You are a sunglasses freak too?

I have about 125 pairs. My personal assistants and people who come to my house keep stealing them.  Also, I have been a collector of all kinds of stuff-shoes and sneakers. I think I own about 200 pairs; it is not something to brag about, this is a form of art for me, just like the way people collect stamps.  I like shoes and I collect them. I keep the ones my mother owned in the 60s and the ones my aunts owned in the 70s. I get shoes that are much branded and are limited edition. For me it is not just about fashion statement anymore, it is art.

Do you indulge in any kind of food?

I am a sweet tooth and a junk food junkie. I have gained weight at some point and no matter how hard I trained, I was gaining weight! I knew what the problem was so I had to cut down. I barely eat breakfast but I eat one solid meal a day. This could be lunch or dinner.  Once I indulge, I make sure I eat everything I want to eat.

How do you relax?

I watch movies.  I have to watch movies to sleep and I don't just watch them for pleasure, I watch them critically to learn about new things.

What is a typical day like for you?

I sleep around 3am every day, no matter the time zone or the country. I wake up fairly early, depending  on the amount of activities I am involved in  but I think I have some sort of in-built clock, I wake up at the same time every day which is  6 am. When I wake up, I pray because God is the central part of my life and I give it all to Him.  My father always said the best exercise of the day is prayers. As soon as I am done with prayers, I do an exercise which is a fusion of yoga and martial arts. It is a process where the body, soul and mind have to be in sync.  I do it to purge my mind and body, relieve the pressures of the day and make decisions about   the kind of people I would let into my life for that day. I have not been to the hospital in over 12 years of doing the exercise.

(MUST SEE) SHOCKER!!! Osun state Governor goes back to primary school?? (PHOTOS)

Posted: 04 Oct 2013 09:00 AM PDT

The Government of Osun State on Wednesday officially commissioned the Salvation Army Middle School, Osogbo amid pump and fanfare as parents, guardians and students thronged the venue in their thousands.

The elated parents defied the rain to witness the epoch-making commissioning of the new school, which is one of the 100 elementary, 50 middle and 20 high schools under the schools infrastructure upgrade, tagged O'School.

The state Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who dressed in the middle school uniform, said the commissioning of the Salvation Army Middle School, is a resounding reaffirmation that Osun State's education policy is a train engineered for a one-way trip to success.

This was even as the Deputy Governor of Osun State, who also doubles as the Commissioner for Education, Chief Grace Titi Laoye-Tomori, pointed out that the school has proved the skeptics wrong.

Laoye-Tomori said though it did not come cheap, the building, which she described as one of the many to be commissioned, represents the crowning glory of the Aregbesola revolutionary agenda in the education sector.

Laoye-Tomori said: "I feel like 'break dancing', even at my age.

"The joy, excitement, sense of fulfilment all rolled into one.

"I was in shock after Damoche’s death" –Skailey Mental

Posted: 04 Oct 2013 08:42 AM PDT

His stage name is Skailey Mental but he was born and named Adeyemi Lawal.  A hip hop act, he talks about his career

What prompted you into music?

As a child, I grew up watching my father listen to songs from King Sunny Ade, Marvin Gay, Orlando Owoh and Haruna Ishola. These songs inspired me and I started as a learning Disc Jockey under the tutelage of DJ Midas of Rhythm FM. Later, I became a back-up singer for Yinka Davies; after which I started working on my own songs.

You also worked with the late hip hop act, Damilola Damoche?

Yes, he was a very good friend of mine. Then, whenever I went to the studio to record and I didn't have any money on me, he made sure that I had something on me before leaving. He was such a kind man. That kindness inspired me to record the hype song I did for him. It was entitled, 'Everybody calls Damoche. When he died, I was in shock for some days. He was quite a good guy.

Are you into any collabo with any artiste?

Yes, I am working on a couple of collabos with some big names in the industry but I wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag just yet. It will come as a surprise to my fans.

Any of your works/videos hitting the airwaves currently?

I don't have any now on air. I plan to shoot a couple of videos soon. Already, I am talking to some directors but I know the best will do the job because my fans are seriously asking for my videos.

Can Skailey Mental be described as a success in the music industry?

By the grace of God I have succeeded in making a name for myself. Whenever you mention Skailey Mental, people know who you are talking about.

Where were you born?

I was born in Ibadan, Oyo State. I am the firstborn in a family of four and I attended Apostolic Church Primary School, Ebute-Meta and Ago Egba High School, Ebute-meta. Afterwards, I proceeded to Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka but later crossed over to the University of Lagos, where I studied Theatre Arts.

Are you in any relationship currently?

My manager, Dupe Noma, is also my fiancée. She is known as Screen goddess and she is experienced in artiste management. She has worked with a lot of popular artistes and knows her onions well.

Don't you think that will affect your career, especially with your fans?

I don't think so. In this industry, there are only a few female managers who are respected and she is one of them. I don't think she has or will have any problems with my fans. Any woman who does what she does is tagged a strong woman because it's not easy managing an artiste. As long as there is a good understanding between us, there would not be any fracas with fans. I support her and you need to see how many of my fans love her. We are getting married before the year ends.

What else do you do as an artiste?

I am a producer and I produce songs for other artistes. Also, I am a sculptor. My new hit single entitled, 'Ruba', was produced by me. I also did a remix version of Christy Essein Igbokwe's 'Iya mi Sheun rere'. I also produced an amazing wedding song I dedicated to my fiancée.

How fashionable is Skailey Mental?

I love to look good and my manager is also in charge of my costumes. She knows what I like and what looks nice on me. As long as it's colourful and flashy, I am ready to wear it.

"I am fine and alright am not dead" - Son of late Gov. Segun Agagu Feyi Agagu Reveals.. (MUST READ)

Posted: 04 Oct 2013 08:04 AM PDT

Feyi, the son of late former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Agagu, has said that he is alright and no one should worry about his state.
Feyi spoke when his friends, led by Jide Obanikoro, the son of a former Nigeria's ambassador to Ghana, Musiliu Obanikoro, visited him at the Surgical Emergency ward of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja where he and other victims of the Associated Airline plane crash were rushed to on Thursday.
The victim, who spoke normally, said he became unconscious after feeling the impact of the aeroplane hitting the ground but woke up later.
He had a neck support and some bandages but he giggled when he saw his friends wearing worried faces.
While being wheeled to the Intensive Care Unit for a body scan, the victim threw his right thumb up to his friends, saying 'nothing do me'.
A second victim, Femi Akinsanya, was seen on another bed talking with about seven of his relatives, including Hip Hop Musician, Sasha Alabi.
Akinsanya, who had a neck support around his neck, described his survival as a miracle.
Doctors were seen advising his pregnant wife not to move him to another hospital yet until he is stabilised.
Our correspondent was however prevented from taking pictures inside the hospital.
It was not all smiles at the hospital as a plump woman, said to be the wife of one of the dead victims, Chijioke Duru, was seen weeping profusely, rolling on the ground at the hospital.
She wailed, "Chjioke, I am finished, who will take care of our daughter, Chinasa. Why did you leave me? I am finished."
The woman subsequently started blabbing and demanded that her husband's corpse be handed over to her immediately. She was however taken away by another relative.
Meanwhile, sources close to Gbenga Obasanjo told our correspondent that he was in the United States and denied rumours that he was on the aeroplane.
The source said, "Gbenga was meant to be on that plane because he was to represent his father, Olusegun Obasanjo, at the event but stayed back in Atlanta, Georgia to attend to some things."

Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus' Uncle and cousin, (father and son), were amongst the victims of yesterday's plane crash.
Until his death, Tunji Okunsanya supervised M.I.C, a funeral home in Lagos.
He handled Goldie Harvey's funeral, AY's Father's funeral and several others.

In a recent interview Tunji Okunsanya was asked; You have planned other people's funerals, have you planned yours yet?" and he replied.

Fortunately, I am in this line and my kids see what I do. You plan yourself as you get older and we have people who plan their funerals before they die.

They even choose the clothes they want to be buried in. My children know what I like to wear but it is always good to plan beforehand because in most instances, your kids will not give you what you want. My children should bury me the way I live
