| Height Of Craziness! Pastor Impregnates 45-year-old Mother & 14-year-old Daughter In Delta! Posted: 07 Apr 2014 07:04 AM PDT  The pastor of a popular Pentecostal Church located along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, Delta State, simply identified as Pastor Sam, is currently on the run after allegedly impregnating a woman and her daughter. LEADERSHIP gathered that the pastor, who hails from the eastern part of the state, allegedly impregnated the 45-year-old mother of three and her 14-year-old daughter under the guise of conducting prayers for them to deliver them of evil spirits that had been battling them. It was gathered that the woman and the daughter have been under evil spells after her husband died of inexplicable stomach problems and elders of the Illah community where they live, had consulted seers who accused the woman and her teenage daughter of having a hand in the death. The duo were said to have been introduced to the pastor around December 2013 and he had promised to reverse every demonic attack on their lives and they have been consulting the pastor until last week when they both took ill and were taken to a private hospital in Asaba by their neighbours, where doctors, after conducting tests confirmed they were both pregnant after which they claimed the pastor was responsible. Sources said when the news of the pregnancy broke, the pastor who smelt trouble, took off to an unknown destination leaving his church which used to be a beehive of prayer activities, under lock and key. Confirming the incident, an elder sister of the pregnant woman, one Elizabeth Agu said, "we tried to reach the pastor who they claimed is responsible, through his GSM line but it was switched off and his whereabouts are unknown while the church is also under lock and key," she added. | Photos From Jackie Chan’s star-studded 60th birthday concert! Posted: 07 Apr 2014 07:03 AM PDT Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan turns 60 today – but his son, actor Jaycee Chan, began planning for the celebration more than a year ago. In order to celebrate this momentous occasion, numerous activities were planned beforehand, one of which was the Peace & Love & Friendship concert that was held at the Beijing Workers' Stadium last night. Stars who turned up to offer their blessings include singers Lee Zong Sheng, Jay Chou, Lee Hom, Coco Lee, actor Leo Ku, Korean idol group EXO, Kim Hee Sun and MISIA from Japan. Jackie kicked off the concert at 7pm, performing with a group of 200 children adorning red T-shirts, as they sang to the tune of Jaycee's self-composed song, Bu Zai Shi Qu. The birthday star greeted fans from all around the world in various languages, and promoted world peace and anti-racism. It was declared that all proceeds from the concert will go towards charitable causes. Next, guest star Coco Lee took the stage, followed by Lee Zong Sheng, Sun Nan, Lang Lang, and EXO. After Jackie sang Legend with his former co-star and rumoured girlfriend Kim Hee Sun, he joked that his version was better than singer Sun Nan's, and lightly kissed the actress on her cheek. Taiwan Mando-pop star Lee Hom performed subsequently, singing hit song Only One together with fans. The singer also praised Jackie for his huge contributions to the film and music industry and supported the actor's views on love and peace. When Jackie told Lee Hom to guess which designer designed the dark green suit he was wearing, Lee Hom merely smiled but did not answer. In response, Jackie declared proudly that the designer was "Joan Chen-Lin" (Jackie's wife, former actress Lin Feng-jiao) as the crowd erupted in cheers. As the concert neared its end, Taiwan superstar Jay Chou appeared for the final performance, throwing nunchucks into the audience with Jackie, sending fans into a frenzy. Invited guests who were unable to make the event – such as Chinese Fan Bing Bing, Zhou Xun, Shu Qi and Lin Chi Ling, as well as Hong Kong stars Derek Yee, Aaron Kwok and Eason Chan – recorded their birthday greetings to Jackie which were played during the concert - the last clip even showed Jaycee and Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse personally baking a cake for Jackie in Italy. When said cake was brought to the stage, Jackie was visibly touched. For the finale, the stars gathered for a mass rendition of Tomorrow Will Be Better. Jackie will be heading to Shanghai next, with fans from 50 different countries, to witness the launch of the Jackie Chan Museum, which will officially open its doors on April 9. CityPeople reports Faith Sakwe is the daughter of late Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Bayelsa State chieftain Mr. Sakwe who died in an auto crash a few years ago. After his death, the Jonathans' decided to take full responsibility of Faith's welfare. Up to her university education, they didn't fail on this. It was while schooling at the University of Calabar that Faith met her fiance Godswill Osim Edward. Their white wedding holds in Abuja on Saturday, 12th April 2014. | U Need to Read President Jonathan's Message to Nigerians On Our Becoming Africa's Biggest Economy Posted: 07 Apr 2014 03:33 AM PDT  Just Yesterday, Nigeria was declared Africa's biggest economy by officials. Even though this does little for the 70 percent of our citizens living in poverty, it gives us continental bragging rights. President Jonathan took to his Facebook page to make this announcement. Read: Yesterday, our Gross Domestic Product was rebased to give an accurate picture of where we are as a nation. I am glad to report to you that Nigeria is officially the largest economy in Africa with a Gross Domestic Product of $510 billion which also places us as the 26th largest economy in the world. This feat is a collective achievement of all Nigerians particularly when you take into account the fact that our Per Capita Income had increased by over 60% from $1091 in 2009 to $1700 in 2013, prior to the rebasing. While this calls for celebration, I personally cannot celebrate until all Nigerians can feel the positive impact of our growth. There are still too many of our citizens living in poverty. Three years ago, I was asked to define Transformation and I said "Transformation in my view simply means taking what you have and making the best of it and in so doing produce results that can bring about a paradigm shift". That positive paradigm shift, as occurred yesterday, is still a work in progress. Regardless of our present challenges, our place as a nation at the table of greatness is assured. GEJ. | Popular businessman shot dead By 10 Gun man during church service in Ijebu-Ode (Photo) Posted: 07 Apr 2014 02:53 AM PDT  Popular furniture maker and Ijebu business man, Otunba Tola Okuneye has been assassinated. He was shot dead yesterday at St.John Anglican Church, Oke-Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo when 10 fully armed men stormed the church around 11am while the pastor was preaching and shot him several times on the head. The 10 gun men stormed the church in two vehicles at about 11.00a.m; while the service was going on and went straight to where the late chief was sitting in company of others and shot him on the head. "We were in the church and it was exactly when the Pastor started his sermon at around 11 a.m. Those boys came into the church and went straight to where Ajagajigi sat and shot him on the head. "We were shocked and everybody was jittery as the service abruptly came to the end. Some people, especially, the elderly people were still in shock as I am talking to you now. No one can say anything about his death. He is not a politician, if he is one,we would have been thinking that his political opponents carried out the act, but as it is now,the church has been deserted, except some few people who were with the Pastor" a source told journalists. The deceased residence at Kazeem street,Shokas area,Oke-Sopen in Ijebu Igbo has now turned into a Mecca of sort as sympathisers trooped to the house to offer condolences.
