This report is based on what's been happening with the brothers up until right now Saturday April 19th. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, next week or next year but as of right now, Peter Okoye doesn't want anything to do with P-Square.First, Peter Okoye has moved out of Squareville mansion in Omole where he lived with his brothers for years and now lives in Lekki Phase 1 with his wife Lola Omotayo and their children. The worst part is that they have invited lawyer to come and share property o. They want to share everything. The lawyer was at their house I think on Thursday. The usually optimistic producer is indeed downcast and disillusioned. Reason: Maami, a film he released on DVD on Monday, has been massively pirated. "This may be the last time I will release a film in Nigeria," TK said on the phone in an emotional voice on Thursday. "Our industry is completely gone. I released Maami on Monday. Barely 24 hours after, pirates are using wheelbarrows to sell it in Lagos. They have pirated the film such that it has flooded every nook and cranny of Nigeria. Interestingly, everyone quotes this miracle data about the development of Nollywood and its contribution to the Gross Domestic Product. What a lie! I can't go on like this. This may be the last time I will release any film, at least here in Nigeria." Years after Kelani finished work on the film that stars Funke Akindele and Olumide Bakare he could not release another one. While he screened it in different parts of the country and beyond, his experience with pirates on his earlier movies that include Arugba and Campus Queen did not encourage him to push Maami out immediately. Now that he has eventually released it, the goons have yet ambushed him. Also in a statement released by Kelani's Mainframe Production on Thursday, he said he was called by fans to draw his attention to the activities of the pirates who recreated the imprints and the jackets of the film, dubbed on cheap DVD for sales. The original copy of Maami, marketed by Ajimson Integrated Services Limited, as mastered on DVD , is contained in a jewel box and is laminated. Nigerian film industry, he feared, would continue to experience the menace of pirates and investors would suffer due to lack of infrastructure, especially when physical distribution channels are infested by pirates whose dangerous activities are unchecked. "In the last 10 years, I have tried everything to survive the attacks. I have relied on donors and well- wishers to continue to make films but each time I loose all the investments, therefore I cannot continue to live the rest of my life in this dangerous place called Nigeria." So disillusioned is Kelani that he fears for young Nigerians wanting to go into film business. He explained, "I pity young Nigerians aspiring to become filmmakers and my advice to them is to seek other media if they have the talent or they can go to agriculture because Nigeria one day will need to feed itself. Nigeria that Fela Anikulapo called BBC, the Big Blind Country is finally here." Kelani's story is not different from what many of his colleagues have experienced. Apart from distribution issues, pirates feast on films and musical works with impunity. The Nigerian Copyright Commission says it is doing its best but this is far from being enough to bring sanity to the sector. So bad has the situation become that many actors, producers and directors are facing hard times, not minding the fame and usual physical glitz they radiate. Stunned doctors were shocked to find 12 gold bars inside the stomach of an Indian businessman who was admitted to hospital due to vomiting. The 63-year-old man went to a hospital in Dehli earlier this month saying he had swallowed a cap from a water bottle and wanted it removed from his body. He also complained of pain and vomiting prompting surgeons to operate on the man. But when they performed the operation, 12 gold bars, each weighing 33g were discovered in his stomach rather than a bottle cap, it has been reported. And now it is understood that customs officials have questioned the man and the gold has been confiscated. Senior consulting surgeon at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Dehli Dr C S Ramachandran told the Indian Express: 'He approached us on April 7 seeking surgery to remove a water bottle cap which he claimed he had accidentally swallowed. 'We got an X-ray done and it didn't appear to be a cap. As the gold bars got stacked one behind the other it appeared to be a metal. We were shocked to find not one but 12 gold biscuits in his abdomen. 'If it would have stayed inside for couple of more days, it would have led to severe bleeding and rupture of the intestine and septicemia.' The businessman was thought to be a known patient at the hospital. India is one of the world's largest consumers of gold but has recently tightened regulations on gold imports following a rise in smuggling. | R*pist DPO Update: Lagos DPO Has finally been Arrested for R*ping a Cook! Posted: 19 Apr 2014 08:25 AM PDT  The Lagos State Police Command has arfed the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Onikan Station, Mr. Adekunle Awe for alleged r*pe and threat to life. Our correspondent learnt that two other policemen of the rank of inspector were also arrested as part of ongoing investigations. A 31-year-old cook, Idowu Akinwunmi, had accused Awe of r*ping her in his office on April 15, 2014. A reliable source told our correspondent on Friday that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, the Lagos State Government and other human rights groups were interested in the matter. The source said, "The DPO has been detained at the Special Investigation Bureau at the command headquarters. Two other inspectors, who were on duty when the alleged offence took place have also been arrested. "The state government frowns at r*pe and if you recall, a new law on r*pe was passed not too long ago so we shall be leaving no stone unturned. "The complainant and the accused persons as well as very senior officers of the command all had a meeting in the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration and I can tell you authoritatively that no stone will be left unturned." Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, also confirmed the development to our correspondent on the telephone. She said, "As you know, allegation of r*pe is a very grievous one and we have commenced investigation into the matter. The DPO has been relieved of his post and is in custody so as not to interfere with investigations. "I want to assure the public that the command is not taking it lightly and will make sure that we get to the root of the matter." It had been reported that the victim, who worked at an eatery on Keffi Street, Ikoyi, had been arrested by the police at the behest of her boss who accused her of allowing a stranger to sleep over at the restaurant. The police were said to have arrested five others including one Friday for disobeying the rules of the restaurant. The victim had said she was forced into having s*x with the DPO after he had threatened to kill her and throw her and the other suspects in prison. | Nyanya blast: ‘How Men in military uniform bombed Abuja park’ Posted: 19 Apr 2014 07:00 AM PDT  The car containing the bomb that exploded at Nyanya Motor Park, Abuja, on Monday, was driven to the park by two men in military uniform. The Head of Operations of Isiyaka Nagode Enterprises, Salisu Mukhtar, disclosed this in an interview with one of our correspondents in Abuja on Thursday. Mukhtar also said that the staff of the company had been questioned by the police. He stated, "Somebody that slept there told us he was there when two men in Army uniforms entered and parked a car there. "Two of them came in two cars. They parked the car and left in the other car around 2am. The person that saw them could not challenge them because they were in military uniform. They left in the second car. "When he woke up around 5am, he still found the car there. Because he was disturbed, he sent one of his boys to our office but we had not come by then. The bomb exploded when the boy he sent was returning and he died in the bomb blast." According to him, the FCT police command has begun investigation into the incident, adding that they (the management of the park) did not witness the bomb blast. He said, "They (police) quizzed us about the incident but we told them we were not there when the thing happened." Mukhtar told our correspondent that seven of his men died in the bomb blast. "We have seen their corpses. They are in the mortuary now. Seven of them including loaders and one task force member are dead." One of our correspondents learnt that a trader at the terminal saw the car being driven into the park. It was gathered that a trader, who was awake when the two men arrived in separate cars had been making useful statements to security agencies in order to unravel the mystery surrounding the bomb blast, which had claimed 89 lives with 257 others injured. Our correspondent learnt that the trader had also been invited by Army authorities to extract statement from him. When contacted, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Altine Daniel, said the investigation into the blast was being handled by the Force Criminal Investigation Department. He referred inquiries to the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba. Mba, however, did not respond to calls to his phone and a text message sent to him. When our correspondent contacted the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen Laleye Olajide, he described the claim as a falsehood which should be dismissed. Olajide said that those making the claim were only on a mission to destroy the image of the Nigerian Army. Olajide wondered why those making the claim did not say it when the explosion occurred on Monday. He said, "Why did they not say so in the beginning when the explosion occurred if it was true? "Why did they not say it at the time. This thing happened how many days ago, it happened since Monday and I have not read it anywhere. People said they even recovered the bodies of the bombers, they did not say the bodies were recovered with military uniform. "Why are people just out to destroy the image of the Army? | Rapper Sauce Kid Is Wanted in the US? [SEE PROOF + VIDEO] Posted: 19 Apr 2014 07:26 AM PDT  Nigerian rapper Sauce Kid, now known as Sinzu might be in big trouble. A recent surveillance video released online has shown someone who looks like the rapper perpetrating debit card fraud in the city of Houston. A US local website ABC 7 has reported that authorities are currently looking for a man wanted for withdrawing money from a victim's bank account at an ATM in Walgreen's store on 8535 South Braeswood, Southwest Houston on March 2, 2014. The surveillance video shows a man with very close similarities to Sinzu's current physical characteristic which includes his prominent dreadlocks and bushy beards. The suspect is seen at an ATM, swiping what appeared to be a card with the woman's account information on it. After obtaining more than $300, the suspect then purchased multiple gift cards at the cash register, according to police. According to Houston Police, 'The suspect is described only as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 to 6 feet 2 inches tall and 150 to 190 pounds. He had a mustache and beard, and long dreadlocks'. This fits the Nigerian rapper's exact appearance. NET placed a call to the Houston public safety organization Crime Stoppers who confirmed the incident but refused to confirm if they had established the identity of the unidentified man. They also don't have an idea who Sinzu is (at least not for now). 'We can't confirm to you if we've identified the person. We can however take down any details you have of the person in the video', a young lady told our reporter on the phone after putting him on hold for several minutes. Efforts to reach the rapper, real name Babalola Falemi have proved abortive as he has not responded to our messages. We also noticed Sinzu has deleted his Instagram page. As we join Christians in other countries of the world in celebrating Easter this year, I urge all Nigerians to reflect on the significance of its lessons of piety, obedience to higher authorities, self sacrifice for the good of others, redemption, salvation, deliverance, renewal and the ultimate triumph of good over evil. These lessons of Easter and other injunctions on brotherly love, peaceful co-existence, tolerance, honesty, humility, justice, equity and fairness to all without discrimination contained in the Gospels are of particular importance to us as a nation as we continue to contend with the challenges of nation-building and development. As our Christian compatriots celebrate the Messiah's triumph over death and all that it connotes, let us all renew our faith and confidence in our ability as a people to overcome all obstacles, challenges and threats to national progress and well-being, including terrorism and other criminal attacks on our people in some parts of the country. My belief in our ability to overcome all retrogressive and divisive forces in our midst and build a strong, united and prosperous nation by turning our unique diversity into a source of strength remains unshaken and we will continue to work with all interest groups and stakeholders in the country to achieve the peaceful, secure and politically stable conditions essential for rapid socio-economic development. In spite of the evil machinations of terrorists, criminals and their collaborators, our Administration remains ardently focused on efforts to successfully execute the Federal Government's Agenda for National Transformation and achieve sustained development. We have already made notable advances in this regard. As a result of our efforts and those of previous administrations, the Nigeria economy is now the largest in Africa and the 26th largest in the world. But we cannot afford to rest on our oars. Much remains to be done and we will continue to count on the patriotic support of all Nigerians as we strive to achieve more inclusive economic growth, generate more national wealth and create more employment opportunities to meet the demands of our increasingly youthful population. I commend the leadership and delegates to the ongoing National Conference, the vast majority of who have shown a patriotic and praiseworthy commitment to national unity, peace and progress built on justice, fairness and equity for all component parts of the country. As the Conference breaks into committees to continue its deliberations, it remains our hope and expectation that the end result will be meaningful and enduring contributions towards strengthening national unity and fulfilling our collective desire for a better and greater nation. Once again, I extend heartfelt commiserations to all the families who have sadly lost loved relatives in recent terrorist attacks. Our thoughts and sympathies remain with all those who have suffered injuries from the heinous attacks. | Posted: 19 Apr 2014 06:36 AM PDT  Members of a five-man gang of kidnappers, including a lady, have given a gory detail of how they lure men through a popular online dating website known as Badoo to a lonely spot where they attack and rob them of their valuables while the unfortunate ones will be strangled. The suspects, Micheal Eneji, his brother, Emmanuel Eneji, Chukwu Chibueze, Gift Princess, and Lekia Emmaden Isaac, were apprehended by the Rivers State police command days after the family of one of their latest victims, Shola Olaseinde reported the victim missing. He was later found in a decomposing state in a bush, close to a deserted pipeline area at Eleme, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Few metres away, was also the decomposed body of another victim, who was later identified as Mr. Progress Benin Disi, a staffer of Shell Oil servicing company whose family had also reported missing since March 7, 2014. On their arrest, the state Commissioner of Police, Tunde Ogunsakin told Saturday Sun that the command acted on the complaint by the family of one of their victims, Shola Olaseinde who got missing on March 26, 2014. "When his family waited for him and could not reach him, they lodged a complaint and I instructed the officer in charge of anti-kidnapping, CSP Akan to hunt for the missing father and husband. "Through intelligence gathering, we were able to arrest the gang of four men and a lady. They led us to Ebubu, Eleme, Rivers State, at an abandoned shell pipeline borrow pit where the corpse of Shola was lying in a decomposed state. Few metres away was also the decomposed body of another victim, Mr. Progress Benin Disi, a staffer of Shell Oil servicing company." Explaining the gang's modus operandi, CP Ogunsakin said: "Normally they pose as women on most of these dating sites. As soon as they lure their victim, they would arrange a meeting. The lady's duty is to meet with the men who are normally very rich. As soon as they get them, she will lure them to a secluded place and alert members of their gang. They will overpower the individual and tie the person up while they withdraw money from his account through ATM. "I hope that Nigerians will learn a lesson from this and realise that in as much as great and useful information can be got on net, it is also an avenue for fraud." At the police station, the leader of the gang, Michael Eneji, a 27-year-old footballer confessed to the crime and said that his gang didn't know that the late Shola would not be able to escape from the forest after dispossessing him of his valuables. In his words: "When I couldn't afford to pay my school fees, I decided to go into love dating scam. I dwell mainly on Badoo chat that most Nigerian men visit regularly. I surf the net and select pictures of black models and impersonate them. As soon as they see this picture, some will send a message and I will reply. They will ask for my number and I will give them. I also have a Tecno phone that has a special voice prompt that allows a man to sound like a woman. Once I establish a contact, I will go to the next step which is to convince them that I will satisfy their sexual urge. "Pretending to be a big girl, I will tell them to meet me at a Conoil petrol station, before the trailer park along Eleme road while one of my boys, Chibueze will go there and meet them as my domestic servant and direct them to my house. To convince them to come, I will claim that I live in one of the estates alone and it will be safer to meet there so that they will not be caught. "In their car, Chibueze will tell them to drive towards a deserted place where we will lay ambush. Dressed in police uniform, we will stop them and demand to know what they are doing in such a deserted place. We will overpower them and tie their hands and legs while we take their valuables, including their ATM cards. "Two of us will go to the bank and withdraw money from their account through their ATM. If there is no money in the account, we will loosen the rope and disappear. This will enable the person to untie himself and go home." According to Eneji, they have fleeced so many men before they were arrested. "I never knew that Mr. Disi and Shola did not escape till I was arrested. I can only recall that both of them had so much money in their accounts, so we decided to keep them for some days to enable us to withdraw enough money from their accounts", he added. On how he lured their latest victim, the suspect said: "Shola showed interest in having an affair with the lady he saw on my Badoo display picture. He demanded to see her, so I told him that I am free around 7pm and he told me that it was the perfect time to hang out. "At about that time, he drove to the spot with his driver and Chibueze, who was on ground, joined him. He directed them to the spot and we took over the car, tied him and the driver up. He did not have much cash with him unlike the others. When we got to the bank, I realised that he had about N4.5 million in his account. Blindfolded, we took him further into the bush and decided to keep him there for some days to enable us to empty that account while the driver must have escaped from the initial spot where he was tied. Few days later, we were arrested. I never knew that he did not escape alive," Eneji narrated. Continuing, he said: "The second victim, Mr Disu was not my contract. It was Elijah the leader of another group that contracted me to help execute the job. I became interested when he told me that the maga (the late Disu) works with Shell company. All I did was to lure him to visit by promising him good sex. I do not know if they killed him because of the huge amount that was found in his account. The truth is that we do not kill, but rob them of their valuables. We will sell the car, withdraw as much as we can from their ATM and disappear. We know that such crime might not be reported because the man will not tell his family or the police why he was robbed to protect his image. It is unfortunate that they died; we left them there still breathing. The only difference is that we did not loosen the rope so that they can easily escape." On the role of the lady in their midst, Eneji said: "She is my fiancée and I normally use her to further convince our target to assume that we are real. If the target insists that I should come and see him, I will send my girl to go and meet him. She will be the one that will lure them to the spot where we can take over." He also revealed that he is known in Badoo as Cindy and Empress. "Once you search for beautiful models on Google search, you will have so many options. If you want so many toasters, select the ones that expose their breasts. I am terribly sorry that these men died in the process. We found out that it is easier to collect money in exchange for sex. "I dropped out of school because my rich relatives refused to help my mother to train us. I can only get money from them if I send a woman to go and seduce them. I am terribly sorry." Another suspect, Lekia Emmaden Isaac, corroborating Eneji's story, said that it was his duty to tie victims up. "We have done that severally and when we return, we will realise that they have gone back. I did not kill Mr Shola; all I did was to tighten him up very well so that he will not escape immediately. I was shocked when I heard that he was found dead. It is possible that snake attacked him since he was kept in a deserted area." Yet another suspect, Chibueze, 17, who acted as Eneji's domestic servant, said his duty was just to take the victim to the spot where he will be attacked. "I did not participate in the main robbery; all I did was to take the suspect to the point where he will be robbed. To convince the victim that I am not part of the set-up, they will also beat me up and I will run away. After the operation, they will give me my own share of the loot." The only girl in their midst, Gift Princess claimed that her service was only needed if there is need to see the man in question or speak with him further on phone. "During Shola saga, he called requesting that I should direct him. I then told him that my domestic servant will wait for him at the agreed spot. He later called back complaining that he was not comfortable with the route that they passed through. Unfortunately, he was already at the spot and my fiancée, Eneji and others took over from there. According to SaharaReporters, the food seller had refused to sell fish alone except to those buying food with it, a policy that angered the alcohol reeking mobile policeman, Mr. Tafa. Mopol Tafa particularly took up a female customer who was buying food at the time he got there and dipped her in muddy water. He also assaulted his victims with his gun.
