[PICTURED] Posted: 11 Apr 2014 05:09 PM PDT  Commuters heading to work in London this morning were baffled by the sight of a woman 'walking' a man on all fours. With a collar round his neck and a pink lead, the man was smartly dressed in suit trousers, white shirt and black shoes as he meekly crawled after the woman through the streets of Farringdon, in the centre of the capital. Onlookers suspected it was a PR stunt but the woman, who was also smartly dressed and carried a cup of coffee in her other hand, was giving nothing away. TOP STORIES Shocking! | Criminals Attacks Femi Adebayo On Set..Actor Hospitalized Due To Injuries Sustained! Posted: 11 Apr 2014 09:49 AM PDT  Yoruba actor Femi Adebayo and son of veteran yoruba actor, Adebayo Salami was reportedly hospitalized after having been attacked by unknown hoodlums in Ilorin, Kwara State. The actor was at the movie shoot in Tanke area of the state capital, when the thugs demanded money and threatened shooting. However, their demand was not fulfilled by the film crew. Following their refusal the hoodlums attacked Adebayo and other members of the crew. While the police upon arriving tried to stop the shooting, one person was shot dead. According to informations, Femi Adebayo, popularly known as 'Jelili', was among those injured and rushed to the hospital for medical assistance. | Too Bad! 49-Year-Old Pastor in Court for R*ping 2 under-aged sisters..aged 10 and 11! Posted: 11 Apr 2014 08:16 AM PDT  A 49-year-old pastor, Friday Arthur, was on Friday charged before an Igbosere Magistrates' Court in Lagos for allegedly defiling two under-aged sisters (names withheld) aged 10 and 11. Arthur, a Beninoise, who resides at No. 856, Ikota Housing Estate, Lekki, Lagos, is facing a charge of defilement. The Prosecutor, Sgt. Victor Eruada, told the court that Arthur committed the offence between March 28 and April 6 at the Ikota Housing Estate, Lekki, Lagos. Eruada said that the pastor, had at various occasions, lured the minors into his room and defiled them. He said that the offence violated Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. Section 137 prescribes life imprisonment for anyone convicted of the offence of defiling a child. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the victims and their female guardian were in court. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The Magistrate, Mrs Linda Balogun, granted the pastor N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till May 27 for trial. | Posted: 11 Apr 2014 08:11 AM PDT  Barely a month after President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe made derogatory remarks about Nigeria and its citizens, the Federal Government, yesterday, reacted, describing Mugabe's statement as "unstatesmanlike and dishonourable." Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Martin Uhoimoibhi, made the condemnation while addressing a two man delegation from Zimbabwe. Mugabe had, during his recent 90th birthday luncheon hosted by the Service Chiefs and the Public Commission, described Nigeria and its citizens as corrupt. Mugabe, while addressing the delegates at the occasion, said Zimbabweans were now almost behaving like Nigerians who, according to him, have to be corruptly paid for every service. Reacting to President Mugabe's derogatory remarks, the Permanent Secretary said the Federal Government was deeply concerned that a sitting President whose country Nigeria had assisted immensely during its liberation struggle and had enjoyed cordial relations with, could take "considerable time to vituperate about Nigeria, reflecting what we considered to be a strong aversion for our country." Uhoimoibhi said it was disheartening that not only did the utterance not reflect the reality in the country but that it came from a sitting president of a brotherly country. He said: "We considered the remarks denigrating and unstateman like on Nigeria and Nigerians in general. We want to present the strongest protest on that statement. We thought it was most unkind and very dishonourable. "So we take the strongest exception to it and we protest it for its partial inaccuracy, and also for the unfriendly attitude that it conveyed from the President towards Nigeria and Nigerians. 'We 're proud Africans' "Nigerians are Afrocentric people. We are very proud of the role we have played throughout our history to uphold the dignitary of the black race and the black man wherever he exists. "We are immensely proud of our history in the liberation struggle. Nigeria, even though it was geographically different, distant from Southern Africa, was regarded as a frontline state. "This was not a struggle that we fought half heartedly. We fought that struggle with all our heart, with our mind and every Nigerian citizen paid the prize for that struggle. "Your pain was our pain; your struggle was our struggle. We believe your freedom is our freedom. But for the number one citizen of that country to regard Nigeria in a term in which the statement of the president was reported to have represented Nigeria with what was most unkind, hostile and unfriendly, we hope that this does not reflect a long-standing aversion for Nigerians." The permanent secretary, who gave the assurance that Nigeria would not change its Afrocentric policy, stressed that the country would continue to work for the good of all mankind and indeed the black race. He said: "We have the utmost respect for Zimbabweans. You are welcome to our country but we are not happy and we are most unhappy indeed at this utterance." Slams South AfricaAmbassador Uhoimoibhi, who also reacted to the racist attack on Nigerians by South Africans, called on the South African government to checkmate such act. He also enjoined South Africa to ensure that in line with "all appropriate actions consistent with commitment of South African government to international standard of behaviour and the cordial relations that exist between our two countries, those matters are dealt with in appropriate way. "We condemn in the strongest terms any act of racism, xenophobia and discrimination perpetrated by whomsoever, and we are appalled that this incident occurred from a country we hold in a high esteem and which is a brother country to Nigeria." | [GRAPHIC PHOTOS] Abandoned NURTW Member Sets Ex-Lover On Fire! Posted: 11 Apr 2014 08:18 AM PDT  Adesanmoye Kehinde, a senior official of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ikotun Lagos branch, has been arrested and dragged before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court in Lagos for allegedly setting his lover, Janet, 31, ablaze after she called off their relationship. Kehinde, 43, who is married with three children, had been dating Delta state born Janet for a while and was planning marry her. Janet however decided to call the affair off because she felt Kehinde was too troublesome. According to Janet who testified in court today, Kehinde had threatened to deal with her but she didn't take his threats seriously. He however carried out his threat by setting her ablaze at Ikotun Roundabout while she was on her way to a friend's house. She said unknown to her, Kehinde had trailed her as she left her house on Olaoluwa Street in Abaranje, Ikotun, poured petrol on her and then set her ablaze. She suffered major burns and injuries and is still in a critical condition. Kehinde was later arrested and charged to court on a two-count charge under Sections 243 and 244 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011. When the charge was read to him today in court, he pleaded not guilty. He was however granted bail by the court but could not meet up with the bail conditions. The case was adjourned to May 15 2015. | Too Bad-- Fallen High Tension Wire Electrocuted 6 People in Oworonshoki Area of Lagos Posted: 11 Apr 2014 04:28 AM PDT  Sad! The tragedy occurred at Onabanjo Street, Oworonshoki around 2.00am. It was gathered that the high tension wire cut into two as a result of the heavy rain. The high tension wire cut and fell across a drainage channel and caught fire when it came in contact with wood. Two vehicles parked beside the wood were burnt by the fire ignited by the wood. The incident occurred in front of houses on number 6 to 10 on the street. While the fire that burnt the vehicles was raging, residents raise the alarm for others to escape from the scene.The victims who were electrocuted did not know what was happening when they ran out of their houses ran in a bid to escape and stepped on the naked wire. Pictures of the victims Others who were injured were rushed to the hospital. According to an eye witness: "people ran away from their houses in different directions and stepped on the high tension wire and they were immediately electrocuted. It was about 30 minutes later that electricity supply was cut off after the tragedy had occurred." He said among the six people who died were a woman with her three children and another pregnant woman with a child. Another drama played out at the scene as the husband of the woman said to have lost his wife and three children drank poison and had been rushed to Afolabi Hospital in the area. An eye witness gave the names of those who died as Iya Fatima, who died with her child and Iya Jonathan, who was pregnant and died with her children, adding that another boy, called Basit was also electrocuted. According to him, the deceased were taken to the mortuary of a hospital in Yaba as they were rejected at the Gbagada General Hospital. Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Mr. Rasak Fadipe confirmed the incident to reporters. He said those who died included two female, including a pregnant woman and three teenagers, saying that the fire was prevented from spreading to nearby buildings. Really sad.
