Tuface Idibia Insists He Did Not Get Any Woman Pregnant Posted: 21 Feb 2014 06:09 PM PST It's no secret that I'm a fan of 2face. Still, I cannot vouch that he really did not get a woman named Teniola pregnant. All I can say is that I'm more inclined to believe him than a faceless rumor. I saw the tweet from him some days ago, and decided not to blog about it. On receiving this release from his publicists, I decided to post it. 2FACE PREGNANCY RUMORS COMPLETELY UNFOUNDED 2face may be a woman-lover and non-condom user, but he has never denied any of his baby mamas or his children, why should he start now? Some say he's denying it because he's now married and for his wife's sake, but really? And also, I've since realized how easy it is for some bloggers or gossip magazines to manufacture stories and keep their readers talking, and obviously, 2face with his three babymamas and plenty children may have seemed to such people like a good mark. If it does turn out that he indeed has made another "love"child, then I will owe Teniola and the magazine that broke the news an apology.
Justice For Slain Titi Arowolo - Husband Sentenced To Death For Murder Posted: 21 Feb 2014 09:53 AM PST It has been reported today that Justice Lateefat Okunnu of the Ikeja High Court has sentenced Akolade Arowolo to death for murdering his wife, Titilayo. This might not bring the dead woman back to life, but hopefully it serves as a deterrant to men who are in the habit of beating up their partners. Hopefully too, women would be reminded that it never pays to remain with an abusive man. Here we have two wasted lives, a dead wife and a husband who will likely die in prison if the hangman's noose doesn't get him soon. If Titi had been staying for the sake of her daughter, does that even apply anymore? I pray for healing for the little girl she left behind and their respective families, and may Titi's soul continue to rest in peace.
The Family Legacy" - A Drama about Sickle Cell Disease Posted: 21 Feb 2014 01:04 AM PST After finding out that an NHS funded short film inspired Tunde Kelani to make The Dazzling Mirage, I decided to look it up, and I could see why. I've decided to share it with you all. According to the makers of The Family Legacy, it is a drama which explores the impact that the birth of a child with sickle cell disease has on four generations of the same family. As they struggle with the decisions and overcome their misconceptions and superstitions, they come to understand what the baby will mean for each of them. The story is drawn from the real-life experiences of people living with sickle cell disease and their carers. In Part One... New parents Simi and Femi, discover that baby Ayo is diagnosed with sickle cell disease. In denial, Femi refuses to acknowledge that he is the father of the baby and accuses Simi of having an affair. In Part Two... The family begins to realise what it means to live with sickle cell disease. Femi continues to refuse to take the test that would prove he is also a carrier of the sickle cell trait and therefore the father of the baby. Meanwhile the eldest family member Mama Yomi believes that the family's misfortune is the result of a curse due to someone's jealously! In Part Three... As the story unfolds we discover how various generations of the family are forced to re-evaluate their own relationships, their fears and misconceptions about the condition and how subsequent screening for sickle cell impacts on each of their lives and their plans for the future. What does Femi decide to do?
