Actress Iyabo Ojo Denies Allegations that her Foundation is a Lesbian group! Posted: 03 Jan 2014 08:37 AM PST Pinkies Foundation is a group founded in early 2011 by actress Iyabo Ojo and they say their primary aim is to bring women together irrespective of age or social class, to support each other & share ideas in business, health and improve family values. But there are people who think it's just a lesbian group. Iyabo had finally set the record straight. In an interview with Sunday Express, Iyabo Ojo said; "My foundation is not about that. Do I look like a lesbian? I am not a lesbian. Nigerians like attaching irrelevant things to something. They are saying that because I am an actress and because of the name Sexy Pinkies ladies. But it hasn't stopped me from achieving my goals. 80% of the women in the group are married with kids. I am not one who supports lesbianism. I don't have a problem with those who practice it, it's their choice but I do not believe in it because I don't think its normal. Its not biblical. I am not condemning the practitioners but to me its not normal." |

TOO BAD! How North Korean dictator Killed his Uncle! Posted: 03 Jan 2014 07:46 AM PST North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un sentenced his uncle to be eaten alive by a pack of 120 wild dogs in a savage punishment for treachery, it has been claimed. Jang Song-Thaek, 67, along with five close aides, was stripped naked and thrown into a cage of hounds which had been starved for three days, according to new details emerging from China. The pack of animals spent more than an hour mauling the group in a punishment called 'quan jue', or execution by dogs, a report in Chinese newspaper Wen Wei Po said. The tyranical leader of the communist state had accused his uncle – once seen as North Korea's second most powerful man – of treason and corruption and described him as 'scum' and 'factionalist filth' during his recent New Year message. Unlike previous executions of political prisoners, which were carried out by firing squads with machine guns, this extraordinary sentence seems to have been specially reserved for the most hated in North Korean society. The report in the Chinese language newspaper said the entire process was supervised by the supreme leader in North Korea, along with 300 senior officials – a clear warning against anyone challenging Kim's leadership. The fact details of the barbaric punishment emerged in a newspaper, viewed as Beijing Government's official mouthpiece, in Hong Kong, has been seen as another signal of China's authorities losing patience with its wayward neighbour, according to The Straits Times. Kim Jong-Un spoke of the execution of his 67-year-old uncle during his New Year address telling the country 'our party took resolute action to remove…scum elements within the party last year.' The 30-year-old leader appeared on state television for the speech and analysts say the words reflect his feelings towards aides of his uncle, Jang Song-Thaek, and other family members who are believed to have been sent to labour camps. 'Our party's timely, accurate decision to purge the anti-party, anti-revolutionary elements helped greatly cement solidarity within our party,' said Kim, adding that 'factionalist filth' had been 'eliminated'. His statement on state tv was the first time he had publicly criticised his uncle, who was executed on December 12 after he was accused of treason, corruption, following the ways of the hated West, and being a womaniser. In its announcement of the sentence, the North Korean regime described Jang as 'despicable human scum', who was 'worse than a dog'. Furthermore, he 'perpetrated thrice-cursed acts of treachery in betrayal of such profound trust and warmest paternal love shown by the Party and the leader for him'. His supposed crimes against the regime included having 'improper relations with several women' and having 'wined and dined at back parlours of deluxe restaurants'. In addition, Jang was said to have 'squandered foreign currency at casinos while he was receiving medical treatment in a foreign country under the care of the party'. Worst of all perhaps, in the twisted logic of this supposed workers' paradise, was that Jang was guilty of 'such factional acts as dreaming different dreams'. Although Jang had played a major role in helping the inexperienced Kim after the younger man had taken power following the death of his father, Kim Jong-Il in December 2011, the new leader is believed to have felt threatened by Jang's power. Observers in neighbouring South Korea agree that Kim has been running a 'reign of terror' in carrying out a 'massive purge' to consolidate his grip. Kim also used his New Year message to warn that the Korean peninsula would be engulfed by a'massive nuclear disaster' if war broke out there again – a reference to the Korean war of the early 1950s when South Korea, supported by the United Nations, fought with North Korea which was at one time supported by China and the Soviet Union. 'If the war breaks out again in this land, it will bring about a massive nuclear disaster and the US will never be safe,' he warned. Before issuing his New Year message, Kim warmly wrapped in a thick coat and a bearskin hat, visited his pet project, the Masik Pass Ski Resort, lauded by state media as having been completed at 'lightning speed'. Kim took a test ride on a ski lift, rising up over the project that he said during an earlier visit was 'at the centre of the world's attention'. |

'What Barack Obama told me about Nigeria' – President Goodluck Jonathan Reveals! Posted: 03 Jan 2014 06:36 AM PST President Goodluck Jonathan said yesterday that Nigeria has the potentials to lead Africa if public office holders, politicians and indeed, the citizenry, stop being selfish. The President recalled his encounter with United States President Barack Obama when the latter revealed that about 25, 000 medical consultants work in the U.S., the number which the US leader said, was crucial to the American economy. Jonathan said that Nigeria has what it takes to lead the African continent, considering the country's human and natural resources. The President spoke at the New Year service held at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral, Catholic Church in Area 3, Abuja. The service was attended by dignitaries including Senate President David Mark. He challenged politicians to plan for the next generation instead of wasting all energies on their own personal interests, adding that there was no need for anyone to heat up the polity in the struggle for political offices as the Constitution does not back life tenure for president and governors except members of the National Assembly. Jonathan said Nigeria has great potentials to lead Africa as was observed by world leaders including President Obama, assuring that he was convinced that this year would be better than 2013. "All what we need to do is to make sure that we continue to do things rightly. That is why I always plead with my fellow politicians that yes, we must play the politics, but let us take the interest of the country more than our own individual interest. And as we continue to play the politics in that direction, leaders will come and go, but the country will stay. "Luckily, we have a Constitution that says that nobody will be a governor or president forever. It is only in the parliament that you can be there till you die. As long as we consider the interest of our country, children, grandchildren and we begin to plan for the next generation instead of wasting all our energies to think about ourselves, before we get to the next 100 years, the country will be better. Nigeria can even change in the next few years and things will be better for everybody." On security, he again said Nigeria is not an isolated case, assuring that the country will certainly overcome the challenges. "Just like Senate President David Mark mentioned, the world as a whole is facing a lot of challenges within this period. If you switch on your television and if you flip through the newspapers, there are always breaking news and the breaking news are not positive news. Whenever I see breaking news, you know there is one crisis somewhere in the world. "We are reading about crises everywhere. And our country too, unfortunately, we also have our own fair share of crises. There is the issue of Boko Haram and the excesses of the militia groups, kidnapping in southern Nigeria. Boko Haram terrorist activities in the northern part of the country, but government is committed to bring this to an end", he said. On the economy, the President said: "As we enter the New Year, we will surely get our economy to continue to move in the right direction and in the direction we want it to move. We shall continue to work hard to make sure that not just that the economy will be growing based on economic parameters and indices, but that jobs are available for our young men and women and that food is cheap in our markets for ordinary people to buy and eat. That is the commitment of government". To deliver more dividends of democracy and good governance, he promised to work hard with the National Assembly, his cabinet and other officers of government. "Despite our challenges, all what we continue to request from you is your continuous prayers because we believe and luckily we are in a Christian congregation, we believe that no matter what an individual think he is, if God doesn't want you to succeed in achieving anything, you will not. You will get so close to it but at the end of the day, you will not get it. "I remember the second time I met President Obama after 2011 elections, he said that Nigeria has the potentials to lead Africa and Nigeria has the potential to be a great country. He said in America, we have over 25,000 Nigerian medical consultants working in the health system, not just people with MBBS but consultants, over 25,000. And that today, if all these Nigerians leave, they will have a lot of challenges in the health system of America. And that is the President of the number one country now. He believes that Nigeria has a lot of potentials." On Nigeria's centenary celebration, he said: "Surely, the country will get to where it wants to get to. Today is a special day, very special. January 1, 2014 because we have been informing you that the amalgamation of our country to what we now call Nigeria happened on the 1st of January, 1914. Today, modern Nigeria is one hundred years old." "The formal ceremony will take place by late February, the programme will soon be advertised for all Nigerians to see and know the areas they will participate because it is a programme for all of us. All the religious houses will be involved in one form of prayer or the other." "So, today, we are not just celebrating the new year but we are also celebrating a special new year. A new year that Nigeria, modern Nigeria is 100 years. And we use this period to begin to think what will be Nigeria in the next 100 years", Jonathan said. SunNews |
'Handshake, hug, Peck and Sitting with opposite s*x is strictly prohibited in islam'- Imam Yunus! Posted: 03 Jan 2014 06:54 AM PST Imam Talihat Yunus is the Chief Imam, Adiam Memorial Central Mosque Iporo Ake, Abeokuta. He speks on sitting arrangement or what some people called segregation of women in mosque. Excerpts Sitting with or among the opposite s*x is strictly prohibited. When men and women sits together, it results to different mishaps happening in our society like fornication, adultery, s^xually transmitted diseases and even unwanted pregnancies. The major reason for this segregation in Islam is that whatever you are close to, can make you sin. The only reason that a man and woman can sit together in Islam is only when the two parties are related by blood. The Qur'an went as far as teaching us that in Islam, men and women should not handshake, hug or peck the opposite s*x that they are not related with. The sitting arrangement in the mosque is a vivid example of what is expected of Muslims whereby where the menfolk will be seated will be different from where the female will be seating. Nowadays, most mosques have where the female will have their ablution separately and it will be far from where the male will have theirs and they do not share the same toilet. In fact, the women do not see the Imam during prayer but only here his voice because of the way mosque are built. Even when we have societal gathering like funerals, weddings in Islam, it is expected of us as Muslims to seat separately and segmented. vanguard |

REVEALED! Why Tunde Of Styl-Plus Left The Popular group! Posted: 03 Jan 2014 06:07 AM PST Popular boy band group, STYL-PLUS of Olufunmi fame have been separated for some time now with one of them Tunde going solo. Speaking in an interview on why he left the group, Tunde said: I have tried to answer this question in so many diplomatic ways without divulging unnecessary details but the answer has brought out more questions like "why didn't I work on my solo project and still remain in the group like its being done on the international scene with the likes of Boyz II Men, the Commodores, Destiny's Child and many more international group acts? Questions flying from all directions have informed me to come out straight to tell it as it is because I need to carry the fans along. In 2012, I tried taking my clothing company (nativeBoy) ambitions a notch higher by launching it in Asia and doing a song titled "In Your Eyes"to support it. It apparently didn't go down well with the members of my group. Being in a group involves a whole lot more dynamics than meets the eye due to differences in personalities, goals and expectations. These differences get more pronounced over time and like old wine become more distinct in taste. Boy bands were not designed to last forever for boys become men and being a man brings with it more responsibilities and an unction for a definite direction. I am STYL-PLUS, I am TUNDE I am pursuing my definite direction. I wish the others well in their pursuit. |
