| Nigeria U-17 'Wonder-Kid' Iheanacho signed by Manchester City on Pre-contract! Posted: 10 Jan 2014 12:05 PM PST  The Under-17 World Cup star will complete full terms with the Premier League side when he turns 18 in October Nigerian wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho has signed a pre-contract with Manchester City and will arrive at the Etihad in October, his father has confirmed. The Premier League outfit have resurrected the move for Iheanacho and agreed terms after a dispute between his parents and the club arose over bonus payments threatened to collapse a deal last month. The teenager, who won the Golden Ball at the Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last autumn, is currently on holiday in Barcelona and will return to Nigeria before moving to Manchester when he turns 18 in 10 months' time. "He can't sign but what he has done is sign a pre-contract with Manchester City pending his 18th birthday," Iheanacho's father James told brilafm.net at the Confederation of African Football's gala award ceremony in Lagos. Goal revealed last week that a £250,000 (€300,000) transfer fee has been agreed for Iheanacho, with a further £300,000 (€360,000) being paid to the Taye Academy in Owerri and £350,000 (€420,000) to the youngster's father. City have invested heavily in top youth talent over the last 12 months, with Swede Zacharias Faour, Norwegian goalkeeper Kjetil Haug, Real Madrid starlet Jose Pozo and Malaga's Brahim Abdelkader all having joined the club. Posted: 10 Jan 2014 09:38 AM PST  The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, January14, 2014 as a public holiday to commemorate the Eid-el-Malulud Muslim celebration. The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, in a statement signed Thursday in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Fatima Bamidele. Moro enjoined all Muslims and Nigerians in general to support, co-operate and join hands with President Goodluck Jonathan, in his sustained effort to build peaceful, united and virile nation. | Kwara State Deputy Governor's ADC Dies While Pursuing Okada (Commercial Motorcycle) Rider! Posted: 10 Jan 2014 09:23 AM PST  The Aide De Camp to the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Peter Kishira has died in an attempt to arrest a commercial motorcycle rider who allegedly obstructed the convoy of the Deputy Governor. The Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Timothy Nathaniel, in a statement noted that the ADC, Inspector Gaiya Mark, died from health related complications contrary to the rumour that the commercial motorcycle operator used charm on him. He explained that indeed the okada rider breached the convoy of the Deputy Governor who was on his way to the office which led to the attempt of the ADC to arrest and warn the rider. It added that the ADC slumped and died moments after stopping the rider at U.B.A. area of Murtala Muhammed Way, Ilorin, as there was no confrontation between him and the okada rider. The man was said to have died on the way to the Civil Service Clinic, Ilorin, where he was certified dead by the doctor on duty. Corroborating the views of the government, the Police Public Relations Officer, Okesumi Ajayi, confirmed that there was no scuffle with the commercial motorcycle rider before the ADC died. When asked how he started his music career, he said;-I would say that I've been trying since I was in A.J (Ajegunle) City, when Achievas Music moved me from there to Festac, things started moving fine. From the new friends I started making then, I dropped my first single 'One In a Million' and that was it.When Asked to tell his story, he said;-It started way back in AJ city when I had to do a lot of things to survive since I lost my grandma and my dad. It was only me and my elder brother. So after my secondary school, I had to do something. I started hawking at Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)…(Laughs). I was hawking meat pie. The first song I recorded was with Achievas Music and things changed from then. You worked with Tonto Dikeh on her 'Sheba' song. How was the experience?You know, Tonto is a crazy girl and the music came out good, the experience was crazy. I had to put her through because she is not a musician; we went through a lot to put her through. In your opinion, would you say she is on the right track going into music?I think she is doing it for fun, she's enjoying herself. If fans like her for that then it's good. At least she is being called for shows and she is making money from it so definitely she is doing well. You and Tonto Dikeh have been romantically linked, how is she to you?We are just good friends.  |

Ziona Chana also has 94 children, 14-daughters-in-law and 33 grandchildren. They live in a 100-room, four storey house set amidst the hills of Baktwang village in the Indian state of Mizoram, where the wives sleep in giant communal dormitories.  Mr Chana told the Sun: 'Today I feel like God's special child. He's given me so many people to look after. 'I consider myself a lucky man to be the husband of 39 women and head of the world's largest family.' The family is organised with almost military discipline, with the oldest wife Zathiangi organising her fellow partners to perform household chores such as cleaning, washing and preparing meals. One evening meal can see them pluck 30 chickens, peel 132lb of potatoes and boil up to 220lb of rice.  Coincidentally, Mr Chana is also head of a sect that allows members to take as many wives as he wants. He even married ten women in one year, when he was at his most prolific, and enjoys his own double bed while his wives have to make do with communal dormitories.  He keeps the youngest women near to his bedroom with the older members of the family sleeping further away - and there is a rotation system for who visits Mr Chana's bedroom. Rinkmini, one of Mr Chana's wives who is 35 years old, said: 'We stay around him as he is the most important person in the house. He is the most handsome person in the village. She says Mr Chana noticed her on a morning walk in the village 18 years ago and wrote her a letter asking for her hand in marriage. Another of his wives, Huntharnghanki, said the entire family gets along well. The family system is reportedly based on 'mutual love and respect'  And Mr Chana, whose religious sect has 4,00 members, says he has not stopped looking for new wives. 'To expand my sect, I am willing to go even to the U.S. to marry,' he said. Posted: 10 Jan 2014 07:22 AM PST  Dr. Iyetade, daughter of the Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka was today buried at Ultimate Gardens, along Ibadan-Lagos Expressway, Opposite Yannaty Flour Mills, Boluwaji Sanjyo, Ibadan, capital of Oyo State South West Nigeria. Virtually everyone that attended the funeral could not hold back tears throughout the funeral programme.  Earlier, a funeral service was held in her honour at Chapel of The Ressurection, University of Ibadan (UI) between. In his sermon, Very Rev. Kunle Oyelade who commiserated with the family said that no one could answer the question of why death took Iyetade away. But he urged everyone to give their lives to Christ. That while strangulating the girl, she would pass out faeces in the throes of death. and if the boy could do this, he would give him N100, 000. However, the suspect's mother says the boy later confessed to her that nothing of such happened and that the 12 year old only passed feces due to the rape and strangulation. An aide to the pastor has also described the allegations against Fireman as ridiculous, adding that Fireman could not have stooped so low as to encourage a teenager to commit murder. "I have spoken to the boy (Ikechukwu) and he told me that he was coerced into saying what he said to the press. Pastor Fireman is a very rich man. What sort of money ritual would he want to do? His father owns a gold factory in Russia while his mother is a professor at ABSU. This is a man that has distinguished himself.
