Glo Evergreen Series : KSA, D'banj, Yemi Sax to jam Feb. 28

While the memory of the maiden edition of Glo
Evergreen Series that featured Chief Commander
Ebenezer Obey and rapper, MI last September is
still lingering, Globacom has unveiled plans for the
second edition of the music concert. According to
the telecoms giant, the next edition holding next
month will parade juju music icon, King Sunny
Ade, Afropop sensation, D'banj and saxophonist,
Yemi Sax.
Glo Evergreen Series is organised to honour
legendary Nigerian musicians for their outstanding
performances and contributions to the
development and growth of the nation's music
industry.
"The second edition of Glo Evergreen Series is
dedicated to King Sunny Ade, the music maestro
and legendary composer for his consistency in the
past 50 years and contribution to the juju music
genre," a statement by Globacom states.
The concert will hold at the prestigious
Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on
February 28, 2014 with King Sunny Ade as the
headline act while his fans that include the youths,
industrialists, top administrators, socialites and
political bigwigs are expected as special guests at
the strictly by invitation event.
"This event is organized primarily to honour and
reward Globacom's high networth subscribers. It is
our modest way of saying thank you to them for
their massive support," Globacom reiterates.
The Glo Evergreen Series holds quarterly and each
edition features a music legend playing alongside
young and talented musicians.

Etisalat-sponsored music competition, Nigerian
Idol Season 4 begins its auditions for exceptional
music talents from January 25th till February 23rd
2014 in Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Benin, Calabar, and
for the first time Makurdi.
Auditions will commence in Benin on January 25th
at the Excalibur Hotel; Port-Harcourt, February
1st at the Presidential Hotel; Calabar on February
8th at Monty Suites; Makurdi, February 15th at
Smileview Hotel Extension and finally in Lagos on
the 22nd and 23rd of February at Dream Studios,
Omole. Continue...
So, if you think you have what it takes to be the
voice of tomorrow participate by sending a text to

location followed by your name and surname.
TV broadcast is scheduled to commence on
Saturday 1 March 2014, and the grand finale takes
place in June 2014.
The winner of Nigerian Idol Season 4 will sing and
perform their way to $100, 000 in cash, a
recording contract and a brand-new SUV. Great
prizes will also be won by the 1st and 2nd runners
up, as well as by the 4th to 10th placed
contestants!
