"I do not have time for Girls that Fight For Me."- MR UGLY Reveals!

Posted: 28 Dec 2013 11:44 AM PST

Mr Ugly, William Masvinu says women are throwing themselves at his feet. But he is not interested.

Scooping the Mr Ugly title twice in a row is undisputed testament that the Harare man is indeed very ugly and deserves the accolade.
Masvinu who shares his mobile with his wife Alice Chabhanga who is almost always by his side, said he does not have time for 'girls'. "Zvevasikana handina dhiri nazvo, I have my own girl at home and one needs to be careful these days because there are diseases," said Masvinu.
Masvinu is confident of his looks and is unfazed by people who stare at him in the streets. "My ugliness comes naturally to me and although I did a bit to prepare for the show, I let my looks do the rest. Now I am a celebrity, when people meet me in the street they shout Mr Ugly and I wave at them happily," he said.
Masvinu, who is a part time mechanic, revealed that he has also ventured into acting and features in a film titled Fuse Yatsva which has already been produced.

"These days I spend time selling my film on the streets of Harare and people like it," he said. Last year, the 39-year-old was quoted bemoaning the lack of corporate support for "celebrities" like him. He said as the reigning Mr Ugly Harare, he should be in the same league with superstars such as Oliver Mtukudzi. "Despite my celebrity status, my life hasn't changed and I still struggle to make ends meet," he said.
"The corporate world should support me as I am a celebrity just like other musicians and top people," he said.

But, he added, as a celebrity he now enjoys numerous free drinks and beer and often gets into shows without paying as people "respect" his celebrity status. It is just a matter of time before Masvinu proves how far he can go as a celebrity or whether he will make headlines for grabbing other people's wives

Governor Adams Oshiomhole Escapes Death in Fatal Road Accident!

Posted: 28 Dec 2013 09:13 AM PST

Press Statement from Edo State Government
Governor Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole survived a motor accident at Ewu Village along the ever-busy Benin-Auchi road in Edo State at about 9.45am Saturday, 28th December 2013 on his way back to Benin City from his Iyamho Village. The incident occurred at about 9.45am at Ewu, in Edo Central Senatorial District, when a Peugeot J5 Bus filled with tomatoes and plantains apparently lost control and rammed into the Governor's Flag Car from the opposite direction before swerving into a roadside ditch.
Three vehicles in the Governor's convoy were in front of the Governor's Flag Car and had passed the Peugeot J5 Bus before it [J5 Bus] had direct impact with the Governor's car, which had the Governor, his Aide-De-Camp [ADC] and his Driver as occupants. The Governor's Car was badly affected but both occupants of the Peugeot J5 Bus and that of the Governor's sustained no injuries.
The Peugeot J5 Bus was following a truck that was descending the Ewu Slope when it suddenly veered off into the Governor's lane from the opposite direction and directly impacted on the Governor's vehicle, apparently because of brake failure. The good story is that nobody sustained injuries in both vehicles. The Comrade Governor is hale and hearty, his ADC and other occupants of the Peugeot J5 are also in good condition.

The incident has been reported to the Divisional Police Station at Ewu for further investigation. This is to assure all good people of Edo State that there is no cause for alarm. Their loving Comrade Governor is fine, hale and hearty as well as other occupants of the other affected vehicle. The Comrade Governor is wishing everyone a prosperous new year ahead.
Signed
Prince Kassim Afegbua
Special Adviser, Media & Public Affairs.

“Patience Jonathan May Die Before 2015” – Primate Ayodele!

Posted: 28 Dec 2013 08:05 AM PST

Primate Babatunde Ayodele

Prophet Babatunde Ayodele, Founder/Spiritual Head of Inri Evangelical Church, Lagos, has over the years warned the country of looming dangers, mostly unheeded. Warnings came before the airplane mishap that involved Sosoliso and Bellview Airlines in 2005, but were unheeded. The cleric has again spoken of things to come in the new year as 2013 winds down, emphasising the need for fervent prayers to avert evil, especially in the first family, as he says President Jonathan has to be prayerful so that he would not lose his wife.
"Concerning the year 2014, I will advise every Nigerian to take time and be prayerful for the country and for themselves from the 1st to 3rd of January, 2014. This is for God to prevent imminent dangers ahead of the nation and economy. Let us take it from here. I don't see anything happening in the Nigerian economy. I see debts everywhere- our crude oil, foreign reserve, and all.
"States will be in debt, the Federal Government will be in debt and Nigeria will be planning to go borrow money. So, the government has to be very careful not to be grinded by these debts. Prices of food will increase drastically and flour will be scarce and very expensive. Corruption too will be more prevalent because this government lacks the power to fight it. Fighting oil theft will also pose a major challenge and Nigeria will beg America to support her in the fight. The price of petroleum will increase as well.

"There will be too much of troubles concerning kerosene. Sea pirates will dominate the waterways and the African Union, AU, will form a common security to monitor our seaways. Various organisations such as the Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, and The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, will be embarking on industrial action almost at the same time. Again, power supply will be unstable until 2015, 2016. I also see ocean surge in Lagos. Sponsors of Boko Haram will be exposed as well. Very importantly, let us be very watchful so we don't have any border crisis.
"Like I've always said, President Goodluck Jonathan's second term is dicey. He will start some political abracadabra in order to gain his second term which will be characterised by so much of negotiations. He will have to cajole and beg a lot of people; he will also beg Obasanjo. What Nigerians see now is only a tip of the iceberg of the clash that will come between Obasanjo and Jonathan.
"In the process of Jonathan's negotiations, the offices of the Vice President, the Chief of Staff and the Secretary to the Federal Government will be affected. When he eventually succeeds through negotiation, some of these governors who moved to the All Progressive Congress, APC, will return back to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Tukur will be removed.

"At the same time, I want to tell you that when Jonathan eventually gets his second term, there will be crisis. Also, another person will be shopped by the PDP to take over from Jonathan, but like I said, through negotiation and begging, he will get the second term. Jonathan might be the last president of PDP to rule this country, anyway. He also has to be prayerful and watchful so he doesn't lose his wife, the First Lady of the country. I also see shake-up in the cabinet and ministers being removed and replaced. The Ministers of Petroleum and Aviation will also be seriously probed. Some people might not like theses prophecies, but that is not my problem because I am speaking as God has directed me," Ayodele said.
Speaking further, he stated; "An unknown man will rule Lagos State. Nationally, APC has accommodated traitors and betrayals. It is not yet time for the party to rule this country. However, if they really want to rule, they have to struggle and pray very well to get the right candidate. They must be watchful so that their party is not used for negotiation.
"Nigeria will try their best in the World Cup but I do not see them in the semi-final or final. Let us be very watchful in the aviation sector so that pilots will not go on strike. Also, there will be air turbulence in some of our airports such as in Lagos and Abuja. We also must be watchful so that there won't be any air crash. I however see reforms in the aviation sector.
Let us pray very well so that this growing climatic condition will also not cause mourning for this country," Ayodele said.

'Timaya Sees Me As A Threat to his Career'- Oritse Femi Brags!

Posted: 28 Dec 2013 07:16 AM PST

Oritse Femi who became popular after his hit track 'Mercies of Da Lord' where he featured Dagrin has said, Timaya still sees him as a threat. He revealed this to Vanguard Newspaper in an interview they had with him. His words;

But talking about Timaya, he is a good friend and right from time, Timaya has always seen me as a competitor. You know sometimes, someone can be your friend and still feels you are the only problem he has. The last time that I called him that we should do a song together, he said we are going to do it but he kept postponing it because he sees me as a threat. He doesn't want a situation whereby people will be comparing us.  Timaya is a good artiste and he has his own energy and he keeps doing what he knows how to do best but to me, I don't see him as a challenger. I can compete with any artiste in the world.

Man spent his Christmas in prison for Criticizing Bayelsa State governor on his Facebook account!

Posted: 28 Dec 2013 05:26 AM PST

Mr. Okio, who was also a former Abuja Liaison officer for Bayelsa State, was arrested on October 26 at his Abuja residence.
He was subsequently blindfolded and driven to Bayelsa by the Special Investigation Bureau, SIB.  The police also stripped Mr. Okio of his mobile gadgets and all postings on his Facebook account, 'Tonye Okio', about Mr. Dickson was deleted.
Two days after his arrest, the Bayelsa police released a statement that Mr. Okio was arrested for seditious publications against the Bayelsa governor.
"This is to inform the general public and the good people of Bayelsa State in particular that the Bayelsa police command has succeeded in apprehending one Tonye Okio 'M' of Otiokpoti, Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State for the offence of seditious publications.
"The suspects whose syndicate members are now at large will be appropriately arraigned in court when investigation is complete," the police said.
The police then detained Mr. Okio for 10 days without trial. Mr. Okio's lawyer subsequently filed a case at a Bayelsa High Court demanding his fundamental rights be obeyed and he be charged to court if he has indeed done anything wrong.
A day before his fundamental rights case was to be heard, the police on November 5charged the victim before a Magistrate Court for defamatory publication against the Bayelsa governor.
After taking his plea, the Magistrate Court adjourned the case to November 21 for trial.
When the case came up on November, 21, the magistrate court granted Mr. Okio, an aide to ex-Bayelsa governor, Timipriye Sylva, bail in what a civil society activist described as 'ridiculous conditions.'
The bail conditions included N5 million with one surety in like sum who must be a permanent secretary in the state and resident within the court's jurisdiction.
Following the ruling, the victim's lawyer, Doueyi Fiderikumo, prayed the court that it would be impossible to satisfy the condition because the complainant was the state governor who he suspected must have threatened most permanent secretaries in the state.
Sources close to the Bayelsa State government also told us that no permanent secretary under the state's employ dare stand as surety for Mr. Okio out of fear of the governor.
Although an application was filed at the Nembe Division of the Bayelsa High Court in the state to demand a variation in the bail conditions, the court reportedly fixed three consecutive days for hearing and was unable sit on any of those days.
A ruling on the review of bail application was slated for December but was again adjourned by the presiding judge, J. Buofini.
On the said date, the judge through the court's registrar notified counsels that the ruling on the bail review application was not ready; and therefore the case was adjourned till January 20.
