Hard Working Actress, Uche Jombo On The Set Of New Movie In Dallas

Uche Jombo is not just having fun times while in the US to deliver her baby, the hardworking actress was photographed last week on the set of a new movie.

Uche was working on a project by Big Obi Media titled Weeping Ashes, and shooting in Dallas Texas. The movie will explore the phenomenon of Jungle Justice, and is scheduled for release later this year.

Other actors in the movie include  Kelechi Eke, Hillary Brooke, and musician Town Krier (above).

Alexandra Shipp Replaces Zendaya in Aaliyah Movie, Wendy Williams Named Executive Producer

The show must go on I guess. A new actress will now be playing the role of Aaliyah, in the Lifetime biopic about the late singer's life. Nickelodeon actress Alexandra Shipp will replace singer/actress Zendaya, who quit earlier this month [read here].

The news was announced Friday, by Wendy Williams, who shared the news with her audience on the Wendy Williams Show, telling them;

The talk show host revealed that the biopic will share Aaliyah's personal life, along with the drama surrounding her rumored relationship with R.Kelly. Her relationship with producer Dame Dash will also be included.

As previously reported, the movie Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, will be based on a book, Aaliyah: More Than a Woman, by Christopher Farley.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will resume filming this summer and will premiere this fall.

NBA Player Matt Barnes and Wife, Gloria Govan Say Reality TV Almost Destroyed Their Marriage

Reality TV isn't for everyone. According to some former reality stars, it's the culprit to destroying healthy families and relationships. And now NBA baller Matt Barnes and his wife, Gloria Govan have spoken out about their own marriage suffered on Reality TV.

For 4 seasons, Gloria was a cast member on Basketball Wives Miami and the LA spin-off. The couple have now said their farewells to the VH1 show.

During his appearance on 'Just Keke', Matt says that the show negatively affected his family.

       

He explained:

I'd just seen a few shows and, not that we're the best couple or the happiest couple, but happiness doesn't sell with that. You know they want to see drama, they want to see fights, they want to see cheating, they want to see this and that.

And though our relationship was never perfect, that wasn't something I wanted to share with everyone.

Especially having brand new babies. You know, we just had twins when we were in Orlando. So, it was just something I didn't want to start off parenthood with.

Tina Campbell of the Mary Mary gospel duo put her troubled marriage to husband Teddy on their reality TV show as open book for fans and critics, and it seems to have worked out for them.

After a rough year of finding out about his infidelity with various other women while she was on the concert road, she says they have made it through, though not without difficulty.

In an interview with Sister 2 Sister, she shares that she still loves him and trusts him:

You want to know the truth? [laughs] All of my trust has come back. I love my husband more than I ever did. I am deeply in love with him. I was just talking to my brother-in-law last night because a lot of my family is even amazed with it. I don't check on my husband. I don't check his e-mails.

First of all, I'm not that chick. I think too much of myself to be a detective behind some man. And if I'm going to trust you and give you a chance, I'm going to give you a real chance and a real chance is not holding your hand and micromanaging.

Everything I ask my husband, everything I've required of my husband through this process, every single thing, he did it. Whatever I asked him, whatever I wanted, whatever I needed… I know every explicit detail of every single thing with every single affair. Every woman can't handle that, but for me and the stage that I'm gonna be at in my life, I needed to know.

Jillian Michaels Left Biggest Loser Because of People Badmouthing Her to Her Daughter

Jillian Michaels has again left NBC's The Biggest Loser, after returning as a trainer for the last two seasons because "people have this warped negative perception" of her. 

The fitness guru says it's begun to infect her family life with her partner Heidi Rhoades and their children, 4-year-old daughter Lukensia and 2-year-old son Phoenix.

Michaels told the story of how she picked up her daughter from camp, and someone had told her, "I know who your mom is -- she's a cheater. I saw it on TV."

This past season, she was accused of cheating because she allowed her Loser team to take caffeine pills.

Despite that, Jillian insists she doesn't have any bad blood with the show, and wants fans to know she hasn't gotten too big for her britches.

"I don't want fans to think I feel like I'm too big for the show or that I'm seeking greener pastures. I'm so grateful to the show and so sad to leave," she said. However, she also mentioned "some fundamental differences [with Loser's producers] that have existed for a while." Namely, the way she has increasingly been portrayed in recent seasons, and how that image has been affecting her young family.

"In the beginning of the show it was tough love. You saw the tough, and you saw the love," Michaels said, before lamenting that more recently the show seemed to focus on her harshness, rather than the help she offered clients. "You saw none of the relationships, none of the bonds that I build with my clients," she said.

She also said she was hurt by commentators on TV shows quipping about "what kind of mom I must be."

The controversial win by Rachel Frederickson last season - the contestant lost 60% of her body weight - was the last straw for Michaels, who said,

"I had to take a hard look at my work ... I came to the conclusion that moving forward, I need to be able to have an impact on the outcome of what I do. I realized that if I am the face of something, if I benefit from it, then I have to take responsibility for the good and the bad.'

Debra Cox Will Be Singing All Of Whitney Houston's Classics in Upcoming Lifetime Biopic

Yaya DaCosta may be playing Whitney Houston for the upcoming Lifetime biopic based on the late singer's life, but it's been announced that Deborah Cox will play Whitney's voice!

The Houston Estate has done everything in their power to stop Lifetime from making this film, including denying production the rights to Whitney's music — so the movie producers have commissioned Deborah Cox to sing all of Whitney's classics that will be featured in the movie.

Deborah might just have the most important performance of the entire movie. I wonder if this means that Yaya Dacosta is not such a great singer?

Apollo Nida Says Marriage to Real Housewives of Atlanta Phaedra Parks As Good As Over

Apollo Nida has revealed his marriage to Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is as good as over, admitting he was angry at her for missing his court appearances.

The 35-year-old opened up about the perilous state of their relationship in an interview on Atlanta's BE100 Radio on Friday, saying: 'She didn't even turn up for the f****** sentencing.'

Apollo was sentenced to eight years in jail for federal bank fraud and identity theft and says he was so 'sad and disappointed in himself' for letting down his sons, Ayden, three, and Dylan, 14 months that he shed tears.

'It doesn't make you less of a man to cry, to shed tears. I'm really upset about how I was raised and I could possibly take my sons through the same thing. But by the grace of God he's still young and we have many years ahead of us. I just cant make those same mistakes.'

'This is hell, hell on wheels. I've asked God to forgive me, I've forgiven myself I had to move on like a lot of people I know who didn't.'



But there was a sliver of good news for the celebrity who was also in the hole for $14 million in restitution. His lawyers managed to negotiate the figure down considerably so he gets to pay back just $1.9 million.

Now the former reality star said he's waiting for a letter from the authorities to tell him when and where to turn up for his incarceration.


There had been reports earlier that Phaedra 'wants to leave him' after he was convicted and sentenced to almost a decade in the slammer.

'If they never started a family, she would have filed for divorce long ago,' an insider told InTouch. 'But this is going to push Phaedra to act quickly.'

The couple married on November 1, 2009 - only a short time after Apollo was released from jail having spent six years behind bars for car theft.

Adorable New Picture of Prince George Released By The Royal Family For His 1st Birthday

Prince George will be 1 year in 2 days and to mark his birthday, his parents, Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, have released a new picture of him.

The young prince is seen in the photo, taking baby steps with his arms outsretched for balance. He is wearing denim overalls, a navy polo shirt and his favorite navy-blue leather shoes.

The picture was taken while the family trio visited the "Sensational Butterflies" exhibition at the Natural History Museum on July 2nd by John Stillwell of the Press Association.

2-Month-Old Baby Dies For Lack of Oxygen Due To Doctor's Strike

A two-month-old baby has died in Abuja  as a result of lack of oxygen for treatment following the nation wide strike embarked upon by doctors.

Hospital sources said if the baby had been placed on oxygen at the time he was brought there, perhaps, he would have lived. They told Sunday Vanguard that the baby had high fever and was brought to the hospital when the situation became critical and the mother was allegedly told by the doctor on duty that the condition was extremely bad.

Although the medical team was said to have made frantic efforts to revive the baby that was brought to the hospital about 12 am Sunday, the efforts did not yield result as the baby gave up at about 4pm that day.

Efforts made to speak to the mother of the baby, who was crying uncontrollably, did not yield result even as the hospital management kept mute while the medical doctor who tried to revive the baby to no avail was in a bad mood.

Meantime, a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Senator Margery Okadigbo, pictured above, has appealed to the striking doctors to consider the poor Nigerian masses and call off the industrial action they embarked upon as a result of unresolved welfare packages with the Federal Government.

Speaking in an interview, the senator representing Anambra North and a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Okadigbo, appealed to the doctors to respect the ethics of the profession they sworn-to and go back to work.

Okadigbo, who has attracted five health centers to her constituency and will be giving out empowerment packages to over 700 people including 100 widows and physically challenged people, said that it was the masses that were suffering the effect of the strike. She said,

"I have a personal experience on the issue of strike in the health sector. About 11 years ago, when my husband (the late Chuba Okadigbo) was sick and we had to take him to hospital, we took him round three hospitals in Abuja here and he eventually gave up.

"It is a bit difficult to understand while someone who took an oath to save lives and failed to think about it but rather chooses to go against that oath. To me, it is personal but we can only appeal. We at the Senate Committee level had a meeting with them.
"Yes, some of their demands were reasonable. They need improved conditions of service, but some of the demands are a bit frivolous in my opinion but we can only appeal that they should all come together and find a way to resolve the issue.

"People are dying daily as a result of the strike while the demands include mundane things like justifying the need for better conditions of service because you spent more years in the university than other health workers. The NMA should be reasonable with their demands."

Police Officer Dies During Sex. His Lover Was Allegedly Laced With Magun Thunderbolt

An Assistant Superintendent of Police, has died in Ondo State in the bid to satisfy his sexual urge while on duty.

He reportedly died while having sex with a woman allegedly laced with the dreaded 'thunder bolt' (magun).

Vanguard reports that officer, after reporting for duty on the ill-fated day, inspected the officers on duty. The residence of the woman he had sex with is said to be a walking distance to the police station.

It was gathered that the relationship between the lovers had been on for a long time, and the police officer, who had no premonition that death was lurking around the corner, walked into the embrace of his lover only to somersaulted mid way into sex.

The woman raised the alarm around midnight, but nobody answered her following which she rushed to the police station to report the case.

Though the ASP was rushed to hospital, he died before they got there. Sources said some whitish substances foamed from his mouth.

The woman involved, according to police sources, has been arrested and detained.

The Ondo State Police Command PRO, Wole Ogodo, said he was not aware of the incident, but a police source in Okitipupa confirmed the incident, saying it was being discussed in hushed voices within the police command in the state.

Floyd Mayweather Denies Reports of Him Saying He Had Sex With T.I's Wife, Tiny Harris

Floyd Mayweather has gone on record to deny that he ever said he had sex with T.I.'s wife Tiny, insisting the audio wasn't clear in earlier reports claiming he said so.

Floyd was at a press conference to promote his next fight recently when a fan in the crowd asked about T.I, to which Floyd was reported to have replied, "What about the b*tch? I was f-ckin' his b*tch."

This is coming after Floyd and T.I got into a street fight on the suspicion that the boxer had slept with TI's wife, and then called her the b-word in front of her husband. Floyd later apologized after the fight for calling her a bitch, because she is a married woman with children [read here].

This time, he is not denying calling her the b-word, but says they've never had a sexual relationship.

Mayweather tells TMZ he actually said, "he thinks I was f***ing his bitch." in the video.

Unfortunately, the audio in the room wasn't clear and with all the noise, it was hard to make out the first part of the sentence.

Mayweather clarifies, "I've never been with Tiny sexually.  I respect her situation and I think she's a good person.  I would never disrespect a marriage."

T.I.'s wife Tiny confirms that they never had sex, and thinks he only called her b**ch again at the press conference to get revenge because she shunned him at the BET Awards.

Her husband T.I., whom she has since then made up with, added, "I hope he [Floyd] is enjoying himself. God bless him."

TI and Floyd used to be friends, but this issue seems to have put a wedge in their friendship.
