Popular Yoruba actress, Dayo Amusa whose mum has just remarried. Yes, Dayo Amusa now has a stepfather who lives and has relocated her mum to Ibadan.

According to family sources, the wedding between Dayo's mum and her new hubby, an Ibadan based businessman took place sometime in November last year, 2013. The star actress, we were told was not in total support but had no choice than to attend the wedding with just one of her old friends she considered a close confidant.

And shortly after the wedding shindig, the actress prepared the logistics for her mum to cool off in Queen's enclave but we're not sure if the new husband was part of the trip.

The family source who claimed anonymity told us that, Dayo's mum left her former husband, Alhaji Amusa long ago, the man who people say has a tribal mark lives in Sagamu and the duo part ways when center could no longer hold between them. So when next you see the star actress, don't forget to congratulate her in advance as her mum might be expecting baby any time soon.

Boko Haram members around 7am today attacked two villages, Koronginim and Ntsiha near Chibok in Borno state killing scores of people.

An eye-witness from one of the villages attacked, Koronginim, said the men were over 20, and came to their village in two vehicles painted in army colour and all carried sophisticated weapons. He said villagers didn't at first run for their lives when they saw the men because they believed they were soldiers, but then the men opened fire and started shooting people dead.

A 20 year old Pakistani lady identified as Muzammil Bibi was found strangled and hung on a tree after resisting r*pe attempts by three men. Police in Pakistan say the young lady was accosted by the men in a field at the densely populated Punjab province and when she tried to resist being r*ped, they beat her up, r*ped her, strangled her and afterwards hung her on a tree.

Speaking on the incident, Pakistani Senior Police Officer, Sadaqat Ali Chohan expressed shock, saying this was the first time such a thing would happen in Pakistan.

"This is the first time in my 22 years of service in the police that I have seen such a case where a girl was r*ped in this way and found hanging from a tree. We have heard of such cases in India but never in Pakistan. The girl's clothes were torn. We took her down and moved her to hospital. Her body had signs of resistance. We have arrested three individuals who have confessed o the crime" he said

Police said her parents spent all night looking for her and found her body hanging the next morning. Only last month, a similar case was recorded in India where two female cousins were gang r*ped and later hung on a tree.

In 2010, Santos rejected a $20 million bid for Neymar to join West Ham United in the English Premier League. He was just 18 at the time.

Neymar signed his first professional contract when he was 17 with the Brazilian club Santos where he was making approximately $1.2 million per year.

Later that year, Neymar rejected an offer from Chelsea in the Premier League that would have paid him approximately $4.8 million per year. At the same time, Neymar was becoming an international star with the Brazilian national team..

Neymar then agreed to a new 5-year contract to remain in Brazil, making about $4 million per year..

Bisade Ologunde, popularly known as Lagbaja has admonished President Goodluck Jonathan to sit up in tackling corruption in the country.

In a new interview with Glitz, the masked musician said, "Mr President needs to wake up. He should stop being a nice guy. The job of a President is not the job of a nice guy. He doesn't want to step on toes in any way and he wants to be good to everybody at all times. He wants to be friends with everybody, even those who don't want to be his friends, which would have been good if things were alright and peaceful."

Still advising the President on how to rescue the kidnapped Chibok girls as well as curb the insurgents terrorizing the country, Lagbaja said, "He needs to realize that he is no longer serving himself. The moment you become a president, that moment you become the property of Nigeria. You must ensure to balance things and make things work for everybody. Therefore, you cannot be thinking of yourself, or not to step on toes. He has never come out in clear terms to show that he stands for something. I pray and hope he will bring our girls back, but it is beyond that. To be the president of a nation, you need to take tough stances. You cannot beg me to become a president because I know my personality cannot do it. Whoever is going to be the next President should get it straight that the position is not for jokers."

Recently, rapper Wierd Mc angrily reacted on twitter to reports she takes drugs before going on stage..Speaking to Punch, she blamed it on jealous people who see her as a threat.She said she knows who the rumour emanated from..

"Someone may be seeing me as a threat or it may be a product of jealousy. When people start coming at you, then there is a reason, and that is why I have to check it. You must be an energetic performer because what you do in the studios is different from what you do on stage. So, if you can't appreciate someone's natural gift, common don't tear it down in the name of competition, that is not right.How can I have an issue with someone when I have been quiet for a while, who am I going to have an issue with. I'm a very reserved person and I keep to myself. It is purely from competition, jealousy or someone feeling threatened. It's strange. It could even be a case of somebody went to a place where I was also considered for an opportunity and maybe the person was considered too, and the person tried to say something to discredit me"

Weird said she wouldn't want to expose the person spreading the rumour because....

"By doing that I would be giving the game away. I just felt I should bare my mind. The issue of my energy has been going on for years.It wouldn't have been an issue if I was a male artiste. That I know for sure, because people wouldn't expect a lady to display so much energy. But it's not a problem, my fans know this is the brand, it's an exclusive brand. If they come to see Weird MC perform, that is what they like but if you don't get at them, they tend to wonder what went wrong, and they could ask why isn't on point.

Popular Yoruba actress, Liz Anjorin, has joined the Lagos 'big gals' who reside in Lekki. Before now, the actress was residing somewhere around Ifako Ijaiye, a suburb in Lagos.

Some people claim Liz made so much money from her latest movie, Kofo The First Lady, which was premiered in Lagos recently.

However, she claimed she had moved to Lekki even before the premiere, saying she had to relocate because of the nature of her business.

"You know that I am also a business woman and the people who patronise me live on the Island. At times, I don't get home till 3am because of traffic and all that. That was basically why I decided to move to the Island," she said.

But then, Liz didn't deny making money from the movie.

"I invested so much money in that movie, so it won't be bad if I made money to recoup what I spent. If you spend so much on a project, God will reward you. Check the history of the Yoruba movie industry, Kofo the First Lady is rated to be among the best especially when it comes to costumes. We didn't spare any expense.

"People even complained while I was shooting the movie that I was spending money lavishly. The money we spent on that movie is what is used to shoot more than 40 Yoruba movies. It is only quality that will make you stand out and that is what I want to achieve in life," she said.

It was for that reason, Liz said, she went ahead to roll out the drums during the premiere.

"King Sunny Ade performed. Nike Peller was also there and she performed. So you can imagine what we put into everything. God will definitely reward us. I have a foundation for the physically challenged people and my money goes into that. I don't get help from anybody, even the government. But I know God will not let me down. That is why I am surprised when people complain that I have moved to Lekki. It makes me laugh," she said.

Popular Nigerian finest and highly sought after Number one music producer in Nigeria, Michael Collins Ajaere, Popular known as 'Don Jazzy', has shared his pains of being a celebrity.

Don Jazzy bwent on to laud the Nigerian afro beat musician's face-masked concept.

Don Jazzy claims he maintains a dual and split personality due to his career, which is Michael Collins for when he isn't seen around or spotted with a walking stick and Don Jazzy when he is with the stick.

The Nigerian superstar wished he came up with that concept first, as he can't step outside and do whatever he pleases.

Tinsel fans mourn the death of Fred Ade-Williams..

Fans of the MNet TV series, Tinsel, are mourning the death of the character, Fred Ade Williams. The character, played by Victor Olaotan, was killed by an unknown gunman in an episode that aired on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. His death shocked countless fans who have taken to twitter to express their grief, 'So Fred Ade-Williams eventually died on Tinsel? Wow. I've missed out on a whole lot of episodes, @phemmow wrote. 'R.I.P Fred Ade Williams, Tinsel is so gonna miss u.. Fred Ade Williams was one of the few who has starred in the series since it started in August 2008. The series' plot revolved around his film production company, Reel Studios and a rival company, Odyssey Pictures, owned by Brenda Nana Mensah as played by Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi. Other characters that have ended their 'Tinsel race' in previous episodes are Reginald played by Omar Captain Sherif, Ziggy played by Kunle Coker and Kwame, played by Chris Attoh.

How Ritualists invade Ebonyi...Mother loses two children in one night! [PHOTOS]

Recently, the Ishiagu community in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State erupted, following the discovery of a shrine where ritual killings allegedly took place.

It was gathered that when the nefarious activities going on in the shrine were exposed, youths of the community went wild and destroyed the shrine as well as the property of the Chief priest and two suspected agents (names withheld by us) from Ngwogwo community. Among the items recovered from the shrine is a picture of the Chief priest holding something that looks like a human hand as well as a register said to be containing the names of the people who had been killed by the evil men and those yet to be killed.

And to prevent the situation from getting out of hand, the police stormed the community and arrested some people.

When the reporter went to Ishiagu on May 7, there was apprehension in the air. Apparently gripped by fear, the villagers kept sealed lips. Even the traditional ruler, HRH Eze Lawrence O. Chukwu, Ibina 1 of Okue autonomous community, an old fellow, claimed that he had not been properly briefed on the matter.

However, the body language of the people spoke volumes. They appeared to be living in palpable fear. For instance, an indigene of the community, Mr Charles (surname withheld) who was supposed to be our contact person chickened out when the reporter arrived Ishiagu. In fact, in Ishiagu, the fear of ritualists is the beginning of wisdom. Or so it seems.

And this is coming not long after suspected ritualists invaded the community and stole nine children. Mrs Nnenna Emmanuel Okonkwo, a mother of six, whose two children were stolen in one night told the reporter: "As I was sleeping, I was woken up at 4am when I heard the sound of my door being broken. I began to shout inside my room, 'who is that? Who is that? Who is that?' Then some men broke down the door and pointed their light at my face. They started dragging my eight-month old son with me and I called out to my mother-in-law in the next room, telling her that some people had broken into my room to take away my baby. As I was struggling with them, they gave me dirty slaps on either side of the cheek. The impact of the slaps as my eyes were covered with blood. As they were taking my child away, my husband's younger sister blocked them outside. So, they kicked her with their boots and she fell, hitting her waist on the ground.

"Then, they went to the other room where my mother-in-law and my daughter were sleeping and broke down the door as well. They entered the room and took away my daughter, aged three years and seven months who was sleeping with her grandmother. My mother in-law shouted that they can shoot her but leave her grand children, but they refused. They carried the two children into the vehicle they parked outside. Before our neighbours could come out, they had zoomed off. Since then, we have not set eyes on the children. My mother in-law said she could not live with what happened; that it was better for her to die. And she died two weeks later."

In a related development, a six-man gang which specialised in the sale of human parts for ritual purposes in Nkwerre, Imo State was recently smashed by the local vigilance group. It was gathered that when members of the gang were arrested, they confessed that they had been kidnapping their victims at various locations in the state. They also volunteered that they use the vital organs of their victims for rituals even as some were harvested and sold to people who needed them to transplant failed organs.

Confessing to the crime, they explained that the prices for their 'goods' were not fixed. According to them, they sold the parts between N500,000 and N1million, depending on what was in demand.

The gory act assumed a life of its own when the men took members of the local vigilance group and policemen to their abattoir in a forest in Umugara village, Nkwerre where the decomposing corpses of some of their victims, mostly women and children were found.

In Ibiasoegbe in Oru West LGA of Imo State, a 66 year-old woman identified as Mrs. Josephine Okorie was gruesomely murdered in her farm recently.

Few days after Mrs. Okorie, who was a church warden at St. Paul's Curch, Ibiasoegbe was killed, the people of Umuakaje Umuseke, Okwudor community in Njaba LGA was thrown into mourning and confusion following the killing of one of their daughters, 28 year-old Mrs. Chikodi Nzerem. Her three-month old baby boy was also stolen by the cradle snatchers who cut off her head.

A source said: "Apparently, the ritualists wanted to go away with their victim's decapitated head but when they heard the voice of another woman, who was coming along the bush path, they escaped, abandoning both the head and the body. The woman raised the alarm and other farmers came but the evil people had escaped."

In the same vein, Mrs Chikodi Nzerem, a widow and nursing mother of a four month-old baby boy, was murdered in her father's house in Okwudor in Njaba LGA of Imo State. Her baby was also stolen.

Family sources alleged that the mother of three was sent to the great beyond by her boyfriend who had pestered her for marriage without success since her husband died about two years ago. "I believe she was killed because she refused to hand over the child to her boyfriend and no one knows what has become of the tot. Perhaps, it has been used for ritual," said Chikodi's sibling.

Indeed, investigation revealed that ritualists are on the prowl looking for people to devour. Hence the rate of ritual attacks and killings have increased considerably in recent times. It is the same story everywhere, as no part of the country is being marginalised on this score.

On March 1, Mrs Zainab Mohammed was brutally raped at Kukshi village, Dass LGA of Bauchi by three men who also plucked her eyes with a knife for ritual.

The victim, a 30-year old mother of four who is physically challenged, said: "They held my neck and I almost died. They twisted my hands, they opened my two and took turns to rape me. I was fainting. Then they brought an object – I don't know whether it was a knife or not and they started removing my left eye. I screamed and tried to struggle but they removed my left eye. They started removing the other eye and I screamed louder."

It was learnt that the evil men took the woman's eye to a native doctor who allegedly offered them N1million.

In May, a 54-year old grandmother, Sukuratu Salami and three others including a cemetery guard were paraded at the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja for trading in human parts such as skulls, bones, liver and intestines.

Salami, a mother of three children whose ages are 30, 27 and 23 years respectively, explained that she was tempted to go into the weird business by the irresistible offer from a voodoo practitioner. "A herbalist approached me last and asked for human parts. When he told how much they buy parts, I was tempted. I approached one Tantoloun, who works in a grave yard. He sold a skull for N10,000 and I sold it in turn for N20,000. Greed made me to continue until I was arrested. I bought pieces of bones N2,000, liver and intestines for N1,000 each and resell for N5,000 or more depending on the buyer's bargaining power."

It could, indeed, be said that ritualists are running riot in the South West.

In March, a man was caught in Ibadan, Oyo State with three human tongues. The incident occurred three days after the shocking discovery of the horror forest at Soka area of Ibadan where scores of skulls, human skeletons, mutilated and decomposing bodies were found.

In April, an eight-year old girl identified as Amarachi missed death by the whiskers as a mobile policeman, Gbuchenge Augustine with Force Number 400823 allegedly wanted to use her for rituals.

Amarachi was found under the policeman's bed in his one-room apartment at Olufowobi Street, Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos with her mouth gagged and her hands and legs tied.

Amarachi's father, Mr Patrick Abakwan, said that before his daughter was rescued, "the man had twisted her neck and used an object to break her skull thinking she would die in the process but God saved her."

Also in April, a storey-building that allegedly served as the operational base of ritualists was uncovered in Akinremi Estate in Adigbe area of Ogun State. Discovered at the den were suspected human blood in a calabash, a coffin, human effigy, a live scorpion and personal effects believed to belong to victims who might have been wasted.

The discovery came barely 24 hours after a similar scene was discovered in Egbado village in Ewekoro LGA of the state.

Horror of immense proportion played out in Egwudinage Obegu village in Ebonyi State recently when a 30-year old man simply identified as Chukwudi allegedly killed and beheaded his 56-year old father, Michael. After severing the head of his father, Chukwudi drank his blood and ate up his neck.

Maintaining that Chukwudi's action might not be unconnected with ritual killing, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Chris Anyanwu disclosed: "He (Chukwudi) was arrested on April 1, 2014 and before he was arrested, he was running and waving his machete which he used to cut his father's head and threatened to kill anybody who moved close to him. Meanwhile he was overpowered and arrested but was caught eating the part of the severed head, after he ate-up the entire neck of the severed head. I think it is not unconnected with ritual killing because it does appear he may have been asked to do such a thing."

On June 10, a young boy hawking belts on Alhaji Jamiu Sulaimon Street in Itele, Ota area of Ogun State escaped death by the skin of his teeth as he was almost killed by suspected ritualists who lured him into a house on the pretext that they wanted to patronise him.

It was learnt that the boy was hawking with his friend when he was called into the compound. But when the boy did not come out after about 30 minutes, his friend raised the alarm. And when the police stormed the house, an attempt had been made to slaughter him, as there was a big gash on his neck. One of his eyes was oozing blood, perhaps an attempt was made to pluck it.

The Ogun State PPRO, Mr Muyiwa Adejobi said: "Our men from the Itele Division moved in as soon as they got a report about the house suspected to be used by kidnappers and succeeded in rescuing the boy alive even though he was in bad shape."

Recently, a heap of over 20 human skulls, skeletons and decomposing bodies were uncovered at Kilometre 15 on the Aba/Azumini Highway, otherwise known as 'No man's land' after Akpaa village in Obingwa LGA of Abia State. There, victims are butchered and their vital organs removed. One of the victims was identified as 26-year old Onyekachi Chukwu, who hailed from Ahaba Imenyi in Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State.

A source attributed the upsurge of ritual killings to forthcoming election and the get-rich-quick syndrome. "As we approach the election year, many desperate politicians will go to any length in order to win election. They will engage the services of native doctors who may request for human body parts to do the medicine. And because the end justifies the means for them, they will engage thugs to kidnap and kill people whose body parts will be removed and forwarded to the native doctors who requested for them.

"Again, the get-rich-quick bug seems to have bitten more people nowadays. And such desperados are ready to do anything, including harvesting human organs for money rituals," the source said.

Shutting down Of Obafemi Awolowo University: Students Narrates their Ordeal! [PHOTOS]

In recent times, there has been a battle of words between the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife officials, and students fighting off tuition and fee hikes.

Those students attending Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife have essentially been 'shut out' by the officials, with no sign of a compromise on the horizon.

In a new press statement sent out to the media, for the first time tells the story of embattled students to 'air out' their views and concerns in this long running fight. Here is that release below.

"Great Nigerian people and gentlemen of the press, on Wednesday, 18th June 2014, the management of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife decided to shut down the university community on account of "violent protest" by Great Ife students. Members of the public should not be deceived by this propaganda, which is built on blatant lies and distortion of obvious truth. In reality, the autocratic closure of the university is intended to break the resistance of students against an astronomical, inconsiderate increment in fees. This closure threatens the democratic advancement of the Nigerian society, and indeed is a militaristic relic haunting the voice of the majority, harmless and poor citizens. Our union condemns, in strong terms, this vicious closure and we demand for immediate reopening of the university.

"It is therefore pertinent that we give our explanation of the OAU situation – which was directly caused by the astronomic, inconsiderate and criminal increment in fees. On May 6, 2014, the Senate of the university approved an increment in fees, which saw the fees of fresh and returning students raised by over 200%! Our congress immediately analyzed the reasons adduced by the university management –the underfunding of education by government and the rising cost of education. While we agree that education needs proper funding to assure quality, we reject the wretched university philosophy that poor parents and students should fund university education. From our standpoint, Nigeria is unimaginably wealthy to appropriately fund university education, instead of further aggravating the burden of our poorly-paid working parents – whose little income is constantly ravaged by galloping inflation.

"While we have painfully watched in intense fury the wealth of this country arrogated to selfish politicians – and most times looted with impunity – we however reject taking responsibility for this failed polity. Instead we have severally appealed to our management to join us and give us unflinching support as we declare resistance against an anti-poor, pro-rich government. Alas! The OAU management is not only determined to frustrate our struggle against this wickedness, it has also decided to wage a war of calumny, lies and distortion against our cause. However, we are not surprised with the solidarity our management is giving to the Nigerian government, because this management, in its own capacity, reflects the misrule, high-handedness and crass autocracy pervading the Nigerian society. In 2011, this same management increased acceptance fee from N2, 000 to N20, 000. And 3 years after, with over N300 million generated from this fraudulent source, the university is yet to record substantial development in areas of academic and welfare infrastructures. Yet, amid this, the university went ahead to squander university fund, N500 million specifically, on a swimming pool project as the water supply system of the university remains a typhoid and skin-diseases haven for students.

"Despite faulting the logic of this increment, elected officers of the union still reached out to the university management for critical appraisal of the fee regime. While at a point, our congress conceded for a 5% increase, the university management stubbornly maintained its "no review" stance and threatened frantically to close down the university if students resist the fee regime. However, the union still seized every opportunity with the university management for discussion, between May 6 and June 14, over this issue of increment. It was this harsh, unyielding stance of the university management that instructed our Congress, on 15th June, 2014, in deciding that the Vice- Chancellor should be invited to address the Congress of students over the continual rejection of our demands. As a Union, we have decided to embark on constitutionally warranted actions to press home our demands. And all of these actions, such as mass protests and road occupation, have been carried out peacefully. In fact, staff unions on campus had not only declared support for our actions, they have also joined our protests in spirit of solidarity to help confront this monstrous policy.

"Aside the fact that this occupation was peaceful and supported massively by staff and students, our students also showed a high level of maturity as they resisted provocation by security operatives of the university community. Our demonstration on Weds June 18th was as peaceful and smooth as usual. However, it was just six hours into the protest that the university senate decided to shut down the institution indefinitely upon allegations of violent and disruptive protests by coordinated Great IFE students that were rather playing, singing and dancing at various points in the university campus. The management declared our maiden resumption congress as illegal when the idea of legality of our right to gathering cannot be determined by it. It claimed that the university senate was burnt by the vice-president with a gas filled cylinder when she actually prepared puff puff for obviously hungry students with a gas powered stove at motion ground. Our students' union even disclaimed the propaganda of our actions being violent by giving statements to that effect immediately the closure declaration was made.
"We demand a total reversal of these fees as rate of stealing has sky-rocketed on campus, finalists are
being made to pay under duress for fear of not having elective courses to register or not getting accommodation. Our security report files are increasing daily and the management said that 97%of poor Nigerian parents have paid the money when only 22% privileged few and those that can borrow have paid in reality.
"A congress of Great IFE students held in the wee hours of Wednesday after the occupation and the news of closure decided thus:
That Great IFE students peacefully continue to occupy the university campus as we are not leaving the campus.
That on total reversal we stand.
That there should be an upward funding of education by the federal government.
That all charges against indicted student activists be withdrawn.
That a non-victimization policy be entrenched by the management.
That the struggle continues with externalized, national actions despite the closure
"Conclusively, as of today Thursday morning, soldiers and policemen have been deployed to the university main gate to assault students while SSS officers have been recruited and planted amidst students to effect quiet and orchestrated arrest of union leaders. Also the university has followed this wickedness up by instructing workers in sensitive departments of the university such as power house, water department, health centre, butteries and markets to shut down so as to frustrate students who reside on the university campus. Our union condemns this onslaught, and we remain undaunted in our struggle against oppression of the poor. We however seize this medium to reiterate our commitment to this struggle against increment in fees and immediate re-opening of the university.

The above statement was signed by three key members of the student union that includes, Shittu I.Olatayo, the Secretary-General; Bamidele Oludare J., the union's P.R.O., and by Ibikunle Isaac, the Student Union President.
