Keep Calm And Watch The Royals Celebrate The Queen's Official 88th Birthday Posted: 14 Jun 2014 02:19 PM PDT The British Royal Family including the Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince William and Kate, as well as Prince Harry gathered yesterday on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for a Trooping the Colour ceremony to mark the Queen's official birthday. The Queen's actual birthday was on April 21, when she turned 88. Her husband of 67 years is 93 and was by her side for most of the ceremony. Most of the Queen's other children and grandchildren were there, but no sign of Prince George, the baby. Prince Harry was said to be playing the joker in the pack as he appeared to be the centre of attention, laughing and joking with his grandmother and grandfather, and keeping the rest of the Royal Family entertained. Couple Love - Wizkid and Tania Omotayo Back Together, Celebrates Her Birthday Posted: 14 Jun 2014 07:07 AM PDT Wizkid and Tania Omotayo were spotted out on what seemed like a date to the Pepsi Samba party last month and there were speculations on whether that meant they were back together. It was said that Wizkid and Tania were all over each other, and Tania stayed glued to him all through except when he was performing! The young couple seemed to have confirmed the gist today. Although he's currently in Los Angeles whipping up some new music in the studio with the likes of Chris Brown and Tyga, Wizkid gave Tania a shout-out on twitter for her birthday, and also sent her flowers and a cake. She acknowledged the gifts with a picture and said, "Thank you baby!! I love you." |

Posted: 14 Jun 2014 02:04 AM PDT Dear Myne, I'm a regular follower of your blog. My boyfriend and I are very much in love with each other and in a serious relationship which is known to both our families and friends. Recently, I was looking for a particular contact on his BBM chat and i stumbled upon a chat with a lady whom he is apparently flirting with. I was shocked and surprised at the same time because he is not that kind of a person. I asked his friend and I was told he was just whiling away time with the girl. I'm confused because i don't know if it is okay for him to be in a serious relationship with me and still flirt with another girl. Please advice on me what to do because it has been on my mind for days now. Thanks. |
The Story of a Picture - Kelechi Amadi Goes Behind The Scene of Iconic Nigerian Flag Image Posted: 14 Jun 2014 01:03 AM PDT I was one of those that used the image to illustrate my blog post for last year's Nigerian independence, but I didn't know the photographer behind it, or whether it was real or photoshop. Now, the quintessential photographer Kelechi Amadi Obi reveals he is the original creater of the lady and the flag image, and how it came to be. And no, she was not really holding a Nigerian flag. Check out the original image below. Kelechi Amadi Obi explains; I made this image in 2007 with American next top model house mat Nnenna. We were just making personal work for our selves . Later I decided to change the red chiffon to green white green . First picture I ever posted on Facebook . It went viral on bb on Independence Day |
Obasanjo Says Feedback From Boko Haram Indicate Some of the Chibok Girls Will Never Return Posted: 14 Jun 2014 12:03 AM PDT Olusegun Obasanjo, the former President of Nigeria, speaking on the girls kidnapped while at school about two months ago in Chibok, has expressed fears that the more than 200 abducted schoolgirls might never return again. This is so heartbreaking and sickening to read. I'm so scared for those young girls and what they are going through, and then the parents who wake up each day without their children, and knowing the horrors they might be living through. Obasanjo said during an interview on the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation that Boko Haram would only probably release some of the girls that might be pregnant and finding it difficult to cater for their babies in the forest. Punch reports that : "I believe that some of them will never return. We will still be hearing about them many years from now. Some will give birth, but if they cannot take care of them in the forest, they may be released." Obasanjo, during the interview, also revealed that could reach out to the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, over the abduction of more than 200 schoolgirls by the sect, but regretted that the Federal Government had yet to give him the go ahead. |
