How a ‘Prophet’ R@ped A Woman In Order To ‘Heal’ Her Stomach Problem!

Posted: 03 May 2014 10:18 AM PDT

In the latest round of unbelievable, un-Godly things that some pastors have been doing lately, Lungile Ncube, supposed prophet of the Twelve Apostolic Church, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, stands accused of r@ping a woman he was supposed to be helping with her stomach problem. , .

According to My Zimbabwe News Online, when the 32-year-old Ncube appeared before Sikhumbuzo Nyathi recently, the bemused Regional Court Magistrate heard how the prophet had supposedly prophesied that the 23-year-old woman was suffering from stomach problems and her husband would soon be involved in an accident at work.

The prophet then offered to come to the house of the woman and help her to pray for healing, according to the alleged victim of the r@pe.

Ncube is denying that he violated the young woman when he went to her house on Janaury 28th, the day after he supposedly received a revelation that she needed his help in order to be healed.

However, the distressed young woman insisted in court that Ncube used guile tactics to weaken her defenses and put her faith and trust in him.

According to the woman, Ncube, who is also a neighbor, came to her house in the early morning while her husband was at his place of employment, a local mine.

Ncube then proceeded to persuade the woman to drink a solution of three cups of water mixed with salt, then prepared a hot water bath for her to steam her body with, alleged the woman.

The woman went on to say that Ncube then asked her to strip naked and wash her private parts in the prepared water. However, the woman refused to do this as it didn't appear to be a proper thing to do when they were all alone in the house together.

Ncube allegedly allowed the woman to wash her private parts while he went outside. However, when he returned, he again insisted that the woman must strip to complete the healing process of rubbing soil, salt and mud all over her body.

After having smeared the "healing mixture" over the woman's breast and legs, Ncube then asked the still embarrassed woman to bend over. Allegedly, this is when he quickly inserted his manhood into her private parts, insisting that she would have to climax to achieve full healing.

The woman later told her husband about her strange ordeal and they informed the local police.

You Wont Believe This! MEET The man who lives without money! [PHOTO]

Posted: 03 May 2014 09:57 AM PDT

r547030_3212368

Irishman Mark Boyle tried to live life with no income, no bank balance and no spending. Here's how he finds it.

If someone told me seven years ago, in my final year of a business and economics degree, that I'd now be living without money, I'd have probably choked on my microwaved ready meal. The plan back then was to get a 'good' job, make as much money as possible, and buy the stuff that would show society I was successful.

For a while I did it – I had a fantastic job managing a big organic food company; had myself a yacht on the harbour. If it hadn't been for the chance purchase of a video called Gandhi, I'd still be doing it today. Instead, for the last fifteen months, I haven't spent or received a single penny. Zilch.

The change in life path came one evening on the yacht whilst philosophising with a friend over a glass of merlot. Whilst I had been significantly influenced by the Mahatma's quote "be the change you want to see in the world", I had no idea what that change was up until then. We began talking about all major issues in the world – environmental destruction, resource wars, factory farms, sweatshop labour – and wondering which of these we would be best devoting our time to. Not that we felt we could make any difference, being two small drops in a highly polluted ocean.

But that evening I had a realisation. These issues weren't as unrelated as I had previously thought – they had a common root cause. I believe the fact that we no longer see the direct repercussions our purchases have on the people, environment and animals they affect is the factor that unites these problems.

The degrees of separation between the consumer and the consumed have increased so much that it now means we're completely unaware of the levels of destruction and suffering embodied in the 'stuff' we buy.

Very few people actually want to cause suffering to others; most just don't have any idea that they directly are. The tool that has enabled this separation is money, especially in its globalised format.

Take this for an example: if we grew our own food, we wouldn't waste a third of it as we do today.

If we made our own tables and chairs, we wouldn't throw them out the moment we changed the interior décor.

If we had to clean our own drinking water, we probably wouldn't shit in it.

So to be the change I wanted to see in the world, it unfortunately meant I was going to have to give up money, which I decided to do for a year initially. So I made a list of the basics I'd need to survive. I adore food, so it was at the top. There are four legs to the food-for-free table: foraging wild food, growing your own, bartering and using waste grub, of which there far too much.

On my first day I fed 150 people a three course meal with waste and foraged food. Most of the year I ate my own crops though and waste only made up about five per cent my diet. I cooked outside – rain or shine – on a rocket stove.

Next up was shelter. So I got myself a caravan from Freecycle, parked it on an organic farm I was volunteering with, and kitted it out to be off the electricity grid. I'd use wood I either coppiced or scavenged to heat my humble abode in a wood burner made from an old gas bottle, and I had a compost loo to make 'humanure' for my veggies.

I bathed in a river, and for toothpaste I used washed up cuttlefish bone with wild fennel seeds, an oddity for a vegan. For loo roll I'd relieve the local newsagents of its papers (I once wiped my arse with a story about myself); it wasn't double quilted but it quickly became normal. To get around I had a bike and trailer, and the 55 km commute to the city doubled up as my gym subscription. For lighting I'd use beeswax candles.

Many people label me an anti-capitalist. Whilst I do believe capitalism is fundamentally flawed, requiring infinite growth on a finite planet, I am not anti anything. I am pro-nature, pro-community and pro-happiness. And that's the thing I don't get – if all this consumerism and environmental destruction brought happiness, it would make some sense. But all the key indicators of unhappiness – depression, crime, mental illness, obesity, suicide and so on are on the increase. More money it seems, does not equate to more happiness.

Ironically, I have found this year to be the happiest of my life. I've more friends in my community than ever, I haven't been ill since I began, and I've never been fitter. I've found that friendship, not money, is real security. That most western poverty is spiritual. And that independence is really interdependence.

Could we all live like this tomorrow? No. It would be a catastrophe, we are too addicted to both it and cheap energy, and have managed to build an entire global infrastructure around the abundance of both. But if we devolved decision making and re-localised down to communities of no larger than 150 people, then why not? For over 90 per cent of our time on this planet, a period when we lived much more ecologically, we lived without money. Now we are the only species to use it, probably because we are the species most out of touch with nature.

People now often ask me what is missing compared to my old world of lucre and business. Stress. Traffic-jams. Bank statements. Utility bills. Oh yeah, and the odd pint of organic ale with my mates down the local.

WICKEDNESS! How HIV-positive kidnappers r*pe female victims!

Posted: 03 May 2014 09:38 AM PDT

An HIV positive suspected kidnapper, Holy Ighoragbor, has confessed to r*ping female victims held in captivity by his gang. Ighoragbor, a member of a seven-man kidnap gang, was paraded yesterday with other members of the gang at the premises of the State Security Service (SSS), Delta Command. State Director, Ms Florence Ikakone, said the gang emerged sometimes in January 2014 and have been responsible for many kidnap incidents in Warri and environ. Ikakone said the gang was responsible for kidnap, murder and sale of victim's vehicles.

She identified the kidnappers as Sunday Ogisi, leader of the gang, Kesiena Onwubolu a.k.a (Kes), Holy Ighoragbor, John David, Moses Urhode , Samuel Onyekachi Onyema, and Francis Oshevire.

According to Ikakone, the gang kidnapped a female victim (names withheld), sold her Toyota Siena bus and shot her on her leg because her family was slow to come up with the ransom. She also said the gang was responsible for the kidnap of another female victim (names withheld) on January 19th 2014and that of a lawyer, Stephen Olowu, on 25th January. The gang allegedly dumped the corpse of the lawyer into the Otokutu river.

"The gang sold the three vehicles snatched from their victims at give away prices of N50, 000, N100, 000 and N120, 000 respectively," the SSS said. Holy Ighoragbor, who claimed to be an excavator operator, said he decided to join the kidnap gang to raise money for his treatment because he was unemployed and had no money.

Ighoragbor admitted to having s*x with their female victims while in captivity. Responding to a question on why he had unprotected s*x with female victims, he said he did not know the infection was incurable.

He expressed sorrow at the crime and asked for forgiveness, adding that he will not return to kidnapping if he was set free. He said: "For the woman, we demanded the sum of N3 million from her family. The woman's senior daughter had just graduated from the university and was doing her NYSC. She offered N300, 000.

I said that we should collect the money, but Kes said he would not collect that amount. "Because I did not want him to kill the woman, I shot her in the leg. I suffer from HIV.AIDS and my mother is a poor farmer. It is true that we r*pe female victims held by our gang."

Naval Officer Loses Children to Fire While Beating Wife in Lagos! [PHOTO]

Posted: 03 May 2014 08:44 AM PDT

File Photo

A naval officer's two children died in a fire he started accidentally while allegedly beating his wife in Lagos on Friday. The incident, according to Punch, took place at the Nigerian Navy Town, Ojo.

According to a hospital official, who pleaded anonymity because she was not authorized to speak on the issue, the deceased children, Emmanuela and Michael, were aged 18 months old and five years old.

She said:

When the children were brought in here, their father, who also sustained some burn injuries, said they were electrocuted but that turned out to be a lie because when the wife later came, she narrated what actually happened,"

The distraught mother of the children, who arrived the hospital much later after their bodies were brought to the burns unit of the Gbagada General Hospital, told hospital officials in tears that her husband Udofia was beating her when he angrily kicked a lit stove.

"The woman narrated that as he kicked the stove, it landed on their refrigerator, which immediately exploded. We were told the children were nearby when the refrigerator exploded."

The children were reportedly engulfed in flames but all efforts to save them proved abortive. Gbagada General Hospital officials said they were brought in dead.

When Punch correspondents visited the hospital, naval personnel and an ambulance of the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Ojo were seen in the front of the hospital. Udofia was said to be receiving treatment in a ward in the hospital as well but he was kept away from inquisitive eyes.

The bodies of the children had also been taken to the hospital's mortuary by the time Punch got there.
Hospital officials feared for the sanity of the children's mother, who was said to have been taken away by her church officials.

"The woman was not acting normal anymore. That may be to the psychological trauma of the event," a hospital official said.
Saturday PUNCH contacted the spokesperson of the Western Naval Command, Lagos, Lt. Way Olabisi, for comment, but he said he was in a meeting at the time.

'What turns me on in a man' – Popular Nollywood star Reveals!

Posted: 03 May 2014 08:38 AM PDT

Vivica Anuforo

Fast-rising Nollywood star, Vivica Ijeoma Anuforo, may not be as famous as Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, but she has attracted thousands of fans for her outstanding roles in over 15 Nollywood movies, including Turning Point, Broken Silence and The Bride is Mine, among others. In this interview with TheNation, the Political Science graduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka, who also trained as an actor at the Royal Art Academy, Lagos, opened up on her journey into the make-believe world, among other interesting issues.

HOW long have you been acting and how many movies do you have to your credit?

I've been acting for the past three years. Acting is something I decided to 'chase' because of how much I realised I wanted it and how much fulfillment I could derive from it. Initially, my dad wasn't really excited about it. But he now supports me and knows I have a good head on my shoulders. I've always been fascinated by the movies I grew up watching. The truth is that, all I'm concerned about is being an actor. I have featured in Turning Point directed by Niyi Towolawi, Broken Silence directed by Desmond Elliot, The Bride is Mine directed by Ugezu J. Ugezu and 11am directed by Alex Mouth, among others.

The industry is highly competitive, so how do you intend to hit the A-list category?

Well, healthy competition is good for the growth of any industry. But where I am and what I am aiming at is making good movies that people can enjoy. Right now, I'm really focused on my craft and how to get better at it. This is because I believe that being in the A-list category is an incentive that one earns for being the best at what one does.

Are there actors you admire?

I love Liz Benson and wish she would come back fully to Nollywood. I think our screens miss her. It will be a dream come true to work with her-she is so eloquent and classy. I also have a lot of respect for Genevieve Nnaji because when she broke out, actresses who aren't light-skinned were not really favoured in terms of getting roles. Mama Purity (Mercy Johnson) is great-her depth as an actor is undeniable. I also like RMD, not only because he is a fine man with dimples to die for, but because he is such a fantastic actor. I learn a lot from these actors.

So, you actually have a crush on RMD?

I think I like his person.

Where does your inspiration come?

I draw inspiration from different things, especially success stories of famous people, movies, books, God and family etc. But I would say my greatest inspiration has been my friend and stylist, Precious Adewale. Sometimes, I feel like she believes in the success of my career more than I do. Even when I feel I'm meeting road blocks, she tells me: "Failure is not on the table talk less of it being an option." I love her.

So, what has been your unique selling point over the years?

I'd say my unique selling point is my entire body. In acting school, we were taught that the only tool the actor has is his or her entire body.

Do you have a limit when it comes to accepting roles?

I can go very far in interpreting any role and can do all that without going nude. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to play a role that doesn't project my interest and principles as an actor.

So, what are these principles?

My philosophy of life would be "never look down on anyone." I think I learnt that from my father. He hates to see anyone being maltreated because of what they have or do not have-he can relate to anyone, no matter his or her status. He made me understand that all men are born equal.

Do you really see a future in Nollywood?

Of course, I do! I do see a big future in Nollywood; otherwise, what am I doing there? We've seen lots of Hollywood actors reaching out just to have some sort of affiliation with us. That goes to show, without a doubt, that we are doing something right.

So, what do you think is the way forward?

I think the way forward is for us to continue to make great movies that can meet international standards. So far, we aren't doing badly. It would also be nice to give the budding actors a real chance because there are talents amongst us- all we are looking for is a real chance to show what we can do. That's why I'll always be thankful to Aunty Emem Isong and her sister, aunty Uduak, for the opportunities they've given me as an up and coming actress.

Aside acting, what else do you do?

Besides acting, I sell accessories, including shoes, bags, shirts and palm oil.

What is it that lots of people don't know about you?

People probably don't know that I'm 'clusterphobic'. I hate to stay in an enclosed space. And I love Amala a lot (laughs). Again, when I'm stuck in traffic, I like to eat Gala and ice cream.

What has life taught you over the years?

Life has taught me that the only one worth putting your trust in is God. Besides, it has taught me that not everyone who helps you should be called a friend.

Any regret so far?

I think everything in my past has set me up to be the woman that I am today. So, I really don't think I would want to change anything that has happened to me in the past.

Tell us about the man in your life?

At the moment, there is no man in my life. I'm single and searching for a break out role (laughs).

Why still single, considering how beautiful you are?

Maybe I have not seen the right man.

So, who is your ideal man?

What attracts me to a man are his confidence and eloquence. I think a man who speaks well can turn me on. Then, he should have respect for himself and respect for women.

If you weren't an actress, what else would you have been doing?

I'm very athletic; if I weren't an actor, I would have been an athlete, running for Nigeria. I try every now and then (when I'm not on set) to go to the gym to work out. I also play volleyball and love watching football.

Apart from RMD, who again do you have a crush on?

If I were a lesbian, I would have loved to marry Scarlet Johansson. I also used to have a huge crush on Milan Bros. But now, it's Mikel( Obi). But talking about my favourite actors, I think I love Ed Norton, Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock and Natalie Portman.

It's believed that most up and coming actresses trade their bodies for movie roles; what has been your response to 's*x-for-role-directors'?

Firstly, one has to know what one wants in the industry. Then, how you present yourself also matters a lot and determines how you will be addressed. If you present yourself as a desperate young lady, who is ready to do anything and go to any length to get what she wants, then, you will fall into the trap and category of s*x-for-roles actresses. Being a star is a gradual process, but that's what most people don't know. To be in the limelight is not a matter of days, but years of hard work. I'm not desperate; my good job will speak for me. I will wait for my time, so I say no to s*x-for-roles!

Are you saying no producer has ever harassed you s*xually?

No! Not at all! I've never been harassed. I guess it's because of the way I carry myself. I know there are some men in the industry that can't get their eyes off me, but I don't give them the chance to go that far.  Most of them don't even have the confidence to tell me they want to sleep with me. So, it's all about how you carry yourself!  Once you do it once, it will circulate. Whoever you did it with will tell others and before you know it, everybody will want to sleep with you. And you will be giving in so as to get more roles; and if you don't, that is where your problem may start from. That is how these things work. It's better not to start it at all. I believe in letting my work speak for me. On the other hand, there are lots of responsible producers and directors who believe in merit.

As an actress, are you not scared that most famous actresses either don't get married in time or their marriages don't last?

I'm not scared because I'm a family-oriented person. On the other hand, it's not just in Nollywood that we have broken marriages; it is everywhere. I believe in growing old with whoever I'm going to get married to and he has to be my best friend, so that whenever anything goes wrong, we'll fix it rather than throwing away what we share.

Nigerian Female Celebrities prefer second-hand husbands - Popular singer writes

Posted: 03 May 2014 04:47 AM PDT

Article published today May 3rd in Saturday Punch, Today, singer Etcetera writes about Nigerian female celebs and their preference for second hand husband, Read below...

Some days ago I was at a friend's place and was asked by his sisters if I was traveling abroad for the wedding of a colleague that is still being talked about on blogs and on all social networking sites in nigeria and I said no I wasn't. But what struck me as odd was when one of them asked me "is she getting married to a brand new husband or a 2nd hand husband"? I stared at her in shock and confusion because up until that moment, I had never heard of a phrase as "brand new or 2nd hand husband. It became a heated debate amongst people in the house that day. 'wow', I never thought a phrase like 2nd hand can be attributed to a human being. I know it is only applicable to objects.

At first I was angry. How could they have said such. But as crazy and odd as it may have sounded, they drew my attention to their observations that it is a trend currently popular amongst female celebrities in nigeria. The guys in the house even tweaked it into a joke. Adding that it is a normal thing in nigeria that when you can't afford a brand new car you go for a 2nd hand one. I couldn't help but laugh at that one. But on my way home, I thought about it for a minute and asked myself if truly a 2nd hand or brand new theory can be a determinant in finding a husband? It got me staring at every car passing by, trying to understand the rational behind the argument of a 2nd hand husband and a brand new one. How do you determine if a husband is a 2nd hand? I asked myself. I was later told that a man becomes a 2nd hand if he was previously married or is still married to another woman before taking a new wife. And that a 2nd hand husband just like a 2nd hand car comes in two types. Nigerian used and Tokunbo. Meaning the husband who was previously married and living here in nigeria is the "nigerian used", while the one shipped in from abroad is the Tokunbo version. Shocking isn't it? Ok, let us analyse this for a minute. It is a known fact that in nigeria, when you want to buy a 2nd hand car you are strongly advised to take a mechanic with you. So can you also do the same with a 2nd hand husband? Should it also be recommended that when going for a 2nd hand husband you should make sure to take a medical doctor to administer all the necessary check ups to be sure you are not getting damaged goods?

Because in the true sense of it, a 2nd hand is a 2nd hand whether car or husband.
And If the carburetor of a 2nd hand car can easily pack up on 3rd mainland bridge, it means a 2nd hand husband can also pack up on the way to the alter. As these thoughts were spinning in my head, I began asking myself the same questions they asked me. Why do nigerian female celebrities prefer 2nd hand husbands. Or Why would anyone prefer a 2nd hand husband? But come to think of it, Is it that our female celebrities can no longer afford the luxury of waiting for the brand new ones to come along? Or have the brand new ones refused to be fooled by the razzmatazz or flashy make ups, thick foundations, artificial nails, Brazilian hair and Peruvian eye lashes? Can it be attributed to a thing of choice? They said a 2nd hand husband is often an Alhaji or an Otunba with pot belle and deep pocket. Is it because of the  money or societal status of the men? As long as he is fully loaded she really does not care. Some went further to say that a 2nd hand husband is already tested and trusted with a confirmed rate of performance and durability? So figure a female celebrity asking her colleague, "What is the mileage of your 2nd hand husband? And she replies "Ahhh I nor know say hin former wives don finish am oo.. Na shaft I marry ooo, My sista nor be small thing ooo, even my doctor sef say him liver go soon park up. And na for hospital I dey sleep for the past 3 weeks. Just like 2nd hand car owner dey sleep for mechanic workshop everyday. As my Curiosity got the better of me, I asked them for names of female celebrities with 2nd hand husbands. I was shocked beyond recognition that the list they gave me was as long as the distance from mile 2 to Badagry. According to the list, almost all married female celebrity in nigeria has a 2nd hand husband and even some of the female celebrities themselves are 2nd hand. And some of the male celebrities also have 2nd hand wives or they themselves are 2nd hand. Well, if you don't believe me, make a list of your own and be amazed as I am right now.

My conclusion is that the issue of 2nd hand husband is not peculiar to entertainers. It is a general societal disease and it is as a result of too many failed marriages we have in the society at large. While nobody should be blamed for falling in love or getting married to whoever he or she chooses, it is also important that we position our lives to inspire the children and future entertainers who see us as role models in the society. You may argue that it is not the society's business what you do with your affairs. Which is very true but also remember that being a celebrity makes your life a public affair. So go ahead girls, take home the 2nd hand husbands, it is your choice and it does not matter even if he looks like an "accidented" car with scary mileage. If you love him that much and he has some money to spend, you can take him to the highly skilled american body mechanic called Dr. 90210 to panel-beat and mask all his dents. And if you are fortunate to find one whose mileage is manageable, you can take him to Ladipo market, buy the missing body parts and get a local panel-beater to fix him. And if you are a handy-woman, You can even do the servicing yourself by getting a complete first aid kit with bandages, Ampiclox and mentholatum and massage his joints every night before sleeping.

Terrifying: US Warns Boko Haram May Attack Sheraton Hotel In Lagos (See)

Posted: 03 May 2014 04:35 AM PDT

According to Vanguard

(AFP) – US diplomats in Nigeria on Friday claimed that "groups associated with terrorism" could be planning to attack a hotel in the financial capital, Lagos, in a travel note to citizens warning of security risks.

"As of late April, groups associated with terrorism allegedly planned to mount an unspecified attack against the Sheraton Hotel in Nigeria, near the city of Lagos," the US Consulate General in Lagos said in an emailed advisory.

"There was no further information regarding which of the two Sheraton Hotels in Lagos was the possible target, or if both of the Sheraton Hotels are possible targets
.

"There is no further information regarding the timing or method of attack. US citizens are cautioned to avoid these hotels at this time."

The warning comes a day after a car bomb exploded in Nigeria's capital Abuja, killing 19 people and wounding scores more, just yards (metres) from a bus station where a previous bombing on April 14 killed at least 75.

Boko Haram claimed the April 14 attack and both bombings have raised fears about a possible change in tactics and targets by the Islamist militants, whose increasingly deadly, five-year insurgency has largely been confined to the north.

Concern has mounted that the violence could spread to other parts of the country given the military's apparent inability to stem the bloodshed.

A hotel attack by Islamist extremists would not be unprecedented.

In November 2008, heavily armed gunmen attacked three luxury hotels, a railway station, Jewish centre and popular tourist cafe in the Indian city of Mumbai, killing 166 and wounding more than 300.

Sheraton has two hotels in Lagos: the Sheraton Hotel Lagos in the Ikeja area of the city near the international airport and the Four Points by Sheraton.

The latter is situated on Victoria Island off the expressway to Lekki, both of which are home to many wealthier Nigerians and expatriates.

The US travel advisory said the security situation in Nigeria remained "fluid and unpredictable", warning its citizens to stay away from all travel to Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states which have borne the brunt of the violence.

All three are in northeast Nigeria and have been under a state of emergency since May last year.

Touching! Read How This Twitter user foretold Nyanya's second bomb blast; saw how the bomb got into Abuja

Posted: 03 May 2014 04:24 AM PDT

@MicahOnly foretold yesterday's bomb-blast, after seeing a very suspicious incident on his way from Kaduna to Abuja on April 20th, about 12 days ago.read his tweets below (FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP)

You all will agree that Micah's theory cannot be overlooked.
Boko haram operatives are very smart, and this is no doubt an ingenious way to transport bombs.
Here is hoping this gets to security officials, and in future thorough checks carried out at check points regardless of sirens.

Madness! 29-year-old man kills his own 7 year daughter over plate of boiled rice

Posted: 03 May 2014 04:10 AM PDT

According to Tribune, a 29-year-old man named Kingsley Ekerete (pictured above), has been arrested for killing his own 7 year old daughter over a plate of boiled rice in Obimama, Oyigbo LGA of Rivers state.

Kingsley, a commercial driver who hails from Nto Osung community in Ikot Ekpene Local Area of Akwa Ibom State, holds just a First Leaving Certificate and has to drive his bus daily through the bustling traffic of Port Harcourt to make ends meet and put food on the table for his young family.

Judging from his looks, no one would have taken him for a murderer or imagined that he is capable of killing his own child.

On this fateful day of April 12, 2014, Kingsley returned home like every other day at 1900hrs, already famished. He hurried down to the pot of rice he had prepared before leaving for work only to find that his also hungry daughter, Favour, had helped herself to the meal he had reserved for himself. Kingsley's animal instincts became awakened and what followed were fits of mad rage as the red-eyed father unleashed his beastly tendencies on his seven-year-old daughter.
Little Favour Ekerete, who had been ill before this time, cried herself to sleep and her illness worsened as a result of the beating she received from her father. According to Kingsley's own confession, she died some hours later.

He then proceeded to place the corpse at a corner of his one-room apartment, an apartment that also housed his two other children aged two and three, not even giving a thought to the implications of keeping the dead child with her frightened siblings.

The kids bore the ordeal as the remains of Favour spent a whole night with them before their father, having made sure his neighbours were all fast asleep, wrapped the corpse in his own clothing, took a shovel and buried it in a shallow grave behind his room.

But Favour's spirit must have cried out from that shallow grave for justice, for as much as Kingsley tried to cover his crime, he was soon found out. One Ugwu, the caretaker of the building where Kingsley resides, noticed the strange and sudden disappearance of Favour, who had been the darling of neighbours.

She (Ugwu) quizzed her father about her whereabouts and the latter spun a story of how the child had taken ill and how he had taken her to a hospital in neighbouring Umuebulu community where she had died.

But Ms Ugwu insisted on seeing the corpse, which Kingley blatantly refused to oblige her. She then threatened to report to the police. But before then, she informed a neighbour, one Pastor Emeka Onuoha, of the situation.

While this was going on, men of the Afam Police Division who were on patrol were flagged down by the pastor. Kingsley was arrested and, after interrogations, was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Rivers State.

In an attempt to cover his crime, Kingsley gave different accounts to the police, claiming that the mother of his children abandoned him to take care of their ailing child alone and the child had died for lack of attention while he toiled for find money. Yet in another account, he claimed that being so poor, he had deposited his mobile phone with a Hausa rice seller in order to get the rice that he had prepared to feed the children, not knowing that the rice had been poisoned.

When asked to lead the police to the location of Favour's corpse, he also gave conflicting accounts. He first said she had died on the way to the hospital and so he buried her somewhere along the way and couldn't remember where it was. Then he later said that the body was in a mortuary at a neighbouring village.

But the truth was unfolded when his parents, Mr and Mrs Ekerete, visited the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). They told the police of Kingsley's strange behaviour even toward the mother of his children, who ran away from home to avoid his excesses. Kingsley's father also narrated how his son had called him immediately after the child's death.

He has since taken the police to the site where he buried his daughter in a grave so shallow that the corpse is visible even without exhumation.

Speaking on the development, the Commissioner of Police, Tunde Ogunsakin, explained that his men, after receiving the case file from Afam Police Station, noticed that Kingsley's  explanation on his missing daughter was suspicious and that efforts to reach the mother of the deceased was rebuffed when police started investigation.

He said that this is a case of homicide and that considering the nature of the crime, Kingsley would need to go through a psychiatric test before he is taken to court for prosecution.

According to Ogunsakin, the Child's Rights Act Sections 4 and 14 state that this is a violation of the child's right to survival and development as well as parental care and protection
.

..In a recent interview with E,she opened up on getting past the hate..

"It's a process that I had to figure out, of how to handle negative comments. When I was younger, I would just sit there and read every single one and obviously, it was awful. There were times when I felt like people were physically putting their hands through the computer and really hurting me on purpose. There's days where I'm like, in my mind, 'I wish I could tell this person something!' But it's not going to accomplish anything. It's just going to be me sinking down to their level and a never-ending battle of hiding behind a computer screen."If someone compliments me on my eye makeup, I get really excited, because I can only see out of one eye, so I'm literally putting makeup on blind."
