Video - Jay Z and Solange Get Into a Fight After the Met Gala

A video apparently showing Solange, Beyonce's younger sister, attacking her husband Jay Z in an elevator after the Met Gala has just surfaced. In the video obtained by TMZ, Jay Z, Solange, and Beyoncé are all packed in the elevator along with what looks to be a security guard at the Standard Hotel in NYC, and are all still dressed in their formal wear. In the video, Solange begins kicking and hitting Jay repeatedly, while he backs up towards one side of the elevator.

According to TMZ,
"it all went down at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC.  In the video ... Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator ... and then Solange goes crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack. A large man -- who appears to be a bodyguard -- attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to connect at least 3 times.  At one point Solange throws a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to strike her.  Beyonce stands by without getting physically involved. It's unclear what triggered the fight.

Bridesmaid Gets Proposal From Boyfriend After Catching Wedding Bouquet

A young lady, one of the bridesmaids at her elder sister's wedding got a pleasant surprise when her boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed during the wedding reception. The proposal happened soon after the happy bridemaid caught the bouquet as it was tossed into the single ladies crowd at the event.

Kanyinsola was her sister's bridesmaid for the day and she never could have guessed that she'l be engaged to her boo the same day!
She gladly walked down the aisle with her elder sister, Subomi and played her role as one of the maids of honor...a few hours later, she was swept off the 'single ladies market'.
At the wedding reception, when all the single ladies gathered to catch 'the bride's bouquet', Kanyinsola surprisingly caught it and while still basking in the euphoria of being the 'winner',  her boo stood up, approached her and got down on one knee.
They were both nervous, Kanyin wondered what he was up to...aww!
Next thing,  he summoned up the courage and gave a little "You mean the world to me....my life is incomplete with you....I want us to start our family speech"
Kanyin started crying and some of the guests wiped off a tear or two from their faces while many others aww-ed!
She was completely shocked and embarrassed and shy because everyone was watching...anyway, she said "Yes" and they embraced!!!

Eminem's Headlights Music Video is Tribute to His Mom For Mother's Day

Eminem has dropped a touching music video to apologize to his mom, Debbie Mathers, for the hateful lyrics he had sprinkled about her throughout his past songs. The video for "Headlights" was released on Mother's day and in one verse, Eminem says his mom is "still beautiful" despite their fights:

I went in headfirst / Never thinking about who what I said hurt, in what verse / My mom probably got it the worst / The brunt of it, but as stubborn as we are / Did I take it too far? / "Cleaning Out My Closet" and all them other songs / But regardless I don't hate you 'cause, Ma, / You're still beautiful to me, 'cause you're my mom



Fun's Nate Ruess lends his vocals on Headlights and film director Spike Lee directed the video. Eminem shot the emotional video in Detroit, where his tumultuous relationship with his Mom, Debbie, began.

The video is told through the eyes of Debbie Mathers, the mom. Security guards refuse to let her contact Eminem at his home, and she turns to drugs and alcohol to cope. She pines over old photos of her son (real name - Marshall Mathers) and finally Eminem forgives her — with a hug and letter.

Donald Sterling Apologizes, Asks Forgiveness For Racist Comments

Donald Sterling has apologized in a new interview with Anderson Cooper to anyone offended by racist remarks he was recorded making to his ex-girlfriend about black people. The LA clippers owner, who is currently facing a ban, his team being dropped by sponsors [Read Here], and a hefty fine by the NBA, said he was baited by his ex to say those things.

In a transcript from the interview, Donald Sterling said to Anderson Cooper;

Donald Sterling - "When I listen to that tape, I don't even know how I can say words like that. … I don't know why the girl had me say those things"

Anderson Cooper - "You're saying you were set up?

Donald Sterling - "Well yes, I was baited, I mean, that's not the way I talk. I don't talk about people for one thing, ever. I talk about ideas and other things. I don't talk about people. I'm not a racist,I made a terrible, terrible mistake. And I'm here with you today to apologize and to ask for forgiveness for all the people that I've hurt."

"The reason it's hard for me, very hard for me, is that I'm wrong. I caused the problem. I don't know how to correct it," he said. [...]I'm a good member who made a mistake and I'm apologizing and I'm asking for forgiveness.Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? I mean, I love my league, I love my partners. Am I entitled to one mistake? It's a terrible mistake, and I'll never do it again. If the owners feel I have another chance, then they'll give it to me,"

Donald Sterling had said to his former girlfriend about sharing a picture of her and Magic Johnson on Instagram;

"It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people. Do you have to?You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games.…Don't put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games."

Michael Sam Congratulated By Obama as he Becomes The First Openly Gay Player in NFL

Michael Sam, made history on Saturday when he got drafted into the NFL the first openly gay player in the history of the football league. Micheal Sam is an All-American defensive end who played for the University of Missouri, and was picked by the Rams in the seventh and final round, among the last 10 players selected.


ESPN filmed a tearful Sam in his home with his boyfriend receiving the call from St Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher to tell him that he had been selected to be a part of the team. The video also featured a happy Sam kissing his boyfriend after getting the call.

ESPN was also the first to break the story of Micheal Sam, who had announced in February that he was gay during an interview with sports channel, saying:
"I'm Michael Sam. I'm a football player and I'm gay. I just want to own my truth before anyone breaks a story about me."

President Obama congratulated Michael Sam yesterday, in a press release by the White House.

"The President congratulates Michael Sam, the Rams and the NFL for taking an important step forward today in our Nation's journey. From the playing field to the corporate boardroom, LGBT Americans prove everyday that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are,"

Micheal Sam may also make history for being the most tweeted-about draft pick. Just 40 minutes after being drafted, there were already about 110,000 tweets referencing Michael Sam or @MikeSamFootball, including tweets from the Rams, the NFL, and supportive teammates.

"Football is all about making plays, welcome to the Squad @MikeSamFootball Rams Nation accept you for who you are… #ShowTime," tweeted Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins.

"S/O to @MikeSamFootball congratulations to the SEC Defensive player of the year, 1st team All SEC .. an All American.. It's just football..," running back Benny Cunningham tweeted.

Abubakar Shekau, Boko Haram Releases Video of Abducted Chibok Schoolgirls

The Boko Haram has released a video purportedly showing around 100 girls kidnapped from a school in Chibok last month. The girls could be seen in the video wearing the full length black and ash-coloured hijab with only their faces showing, and reciting Quranic verses.

The video also shows Abubakar Shekau, the fugitive Boko Haram leader, who claimed the girls had become Muslims. Abubakar Shekau said he is willing to trade the girls for the freedom of the arrested members of the sect being held by security operatives.


In an earlier interview, the Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, had told the BBC that he did not think the girls had been taken across the border to Chad or Cameroon. He said;

We've got reports of them being sighted in some locations – which we have conveyed to the relevant military authorities, for them to cross-check, verify and get additional information on the accurate location of the daughters.'
