| SHOCKER! Pregnant Mother Drives Van Filled with Her children into Ocean! [PHOTO + VIDEO] Posted: 06 Mar 2014 12:16 PM PST  A pregnant South Carolina mom drove a van full of her young children into the ocean on Tuesday March 4th hours after she was interrogated by police for behaving strangely and scaring her children. Lifeguards at the beach rescued the woman, believed to be mentally disturbed, and her three children aged, 3, 9 and 10 from the ocean after they heard the children screaming from the back of the van. A witness captured video of the harrowing rescue on his phone. Police said when they tried speaking with the woman, whose identity has not been released, she sounded incoherent and kept talking about demons chasing her. She's now undergoing a mental health evaluation while her children are with family members. TOP STORIES | |

The school had just two blocks of hostels opposite one another, and just two days ago, one of the hostels was razed, only for the second one to be burnt down today. | 'How I Survived the Horrible Car Accident'– Jide Kosoko Finally Narrates What Really Happened! Posted: 06 Mar 2014 05:50 AM PST  Popular Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, considers himself to be very lucky after surviving an accident that left his Ford Sport Utility Vehicle badly damaged on Friday. Speaking to our correspondent on the incident, the actor – who turned 60 in January – says he has since recovered from the scare caused by the incident. He notes, "I have got over it and really thank God for saving my life. It occurred very close to the Ikeja Shopping Mall, just by the Bola Tinubu statue. It was as a result of brake failure. Thankfully, I was not hurt though the car kept swinging from left to right before it finally stopped. Posted: 06 Mar 2014 05:17 AM PST  The One Nigerians making us proud worldwide in the field of film-making, Kunle Afolayan has packed his bag and baggage and move to God's own country. The award winning film-maker is frustrated with the state of the nation now, lamenting that he has not been able to get rewards for all his hard work. This was how he stated it on his Facebook page: YES! It is high time I started considering relocation. To where? I don't know but it's something that has been bothering me for some time now. I have always been an advocate of "Yes we are Nigerians and so shall it be" but for some time now the reality of the state of the Nigerian Nation is beginning to take its toll on me. Does our government consider us worthy citizens of Nigeria or we are just fooling ourselves? There is no electricity to start with and that has been the case since I was born, now I have worked very hard and I am able to afford generator of any size but there is no fuel to run any of them, neither is there fuel to even move around when you need to attend to business. The life of a Kunle Afolayan is even better than that of majority of most Nigerians and every day I wonder and I ask what the future holds for 'Iya Basira' who sells wosiwosi and other petty traders whose goods is sometimes worth less that N10,000. I am sure a lot of people will consider me a millionaire after I have made a few successful feature films that have recorded good box office figures and international recognition, But the truth is, it's all make believe just as it is in the movies. If I was living in a better Nation and well-structured country, I probably will be living the life of a celebrity by now but the truth and reality is that, I am still a tenant and so is a lot of our so called celebrities in Nigeria and I am owing banks millions. As a matter of fact, everybody in my house owns two passports, one for Nigeria and the other is for what is considered to be the most powerful country in the world, I have refused get my citizenship of America because of my sentiments of being " PROUDLY NAIJA". | Outrageous!!! 400-Level Law Student of OAU Commits Suicide After His Lover Broke Up With Him (Photo) Posted: 06 Mar 2014 01:31 AM PST  Yesterday: Reports of a Final year Law Student student of Obafemi Awolowo University Commits Suicide went viral yesterday but there are new reports claiming he committed suicide after his lover broke up with him. The 400-level student, Oladipo Ige was said to have killed himself by allegedly ingesting some substance later discovered to be poison at his residence, at Asherifa area of the state off campus with a suicide note that read: "Father, while reading this message, I would have been gone". Dipo, who was a member of the Christ Apostolic Church Fellowship on campus had threatened to take his life after his lover who had been responsible for his finances in school for over eight months of the relationship decided to end their relationship and remained adamant about her decision. The lady, also a member of the same fellowship, was said to have broken up with Dipo because of his poor background and she could no longer cope with him. According to a source, this development was said to have subjected Dipo to emotional trauma. Some of Dipo's colleagues who described him as a brilliant student and someone who lived a lonely life were still shocked about his mysterious sudden death. **RIP Dipo** TOP STORIES | |

| Update on Obesere's Alleged r*pe case, Victim relocates to her Village after Receiving Death Threats Posted: 06 Mar 2014 01:12 AM PST  If you missed it read here--> Obesere arrested after 29-year-old business woman (Miss Olanike Olaiya) claims he r*ped & inserted a ring inside her private, Miss Olanike Olaiya, in his Okota residence may have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID. Sources told Vanguard, yesterday, that the embattled musician preferred the SCID to the Isolo Police division because the DPO had insisted on the matter going to court. Normally, it is the Divisional Police Officer at Isolo Division, Aminu Ibrahim, that should have ordered the transfer of the case to SCID for further investigations. But Obesere was alleged to have used his contacts in the police to have the case transferred to SCID. A police source also disclosed that Obesere found it difficult to pressurize the DPO at Isolo into striking out the matter or persuade the victim to accept a settlement.The source, who craved anonymity, also said Obesere contacted some top citizens to wade into the matter by persuading the DPO to soft-pedal on the matter but they backed down when they discovered that the police have incriminating evidence against the musician. Meantime, the victim, Olaiya, told Vanguard yesterday that she had relocated to her home town, Sagamu in Ogun State, where she is currently receiving treatment for the rape incident. Olaiya, who spoke with Vanguard on the telephone, said: "As I speak with you, I am in Sagamu, my home town, where I have been receiving traditional treatment since the incident occurred. I bled for more than two weeks after Alhaji Obesere raped me and inserted his ring into my private part. The incident occurred on February 12, 2013 and I have spent a lot of money treating myself. The DPO, Isolo Police division, took pity on me and refused to give in to Obesere's pressure to strike out the case and God will bless him for that. But last week I was informed that the case had been transferred to the SCID and my Investigating Police Office, IPO, at Isolo asked me to come to the station on Tuesday for the transfer. But when I got to the SCID, I discovered the IPO, who took over the case, one Mr. Jacob, I don't know his rank, became hostile to me. You need to see how this man treated me. He started by asking me to write a new statement and when I tried to explain that I had written a statement at Isolo division, he rebuffed my explanation and insisted I wrote a new one. Afterwards, they started threatening me. The IPO, Alhaji Obesere, and some of his brothers, who were present there, asked me to stop the journalists from publishing my story and if I don't, I will be a dead person. I was so frightened when they said this and each time my phone rang someone would pick it up to know who was calling. Later, they discovered I wasn't going to break, then they started begging me and promised to take care of me. Alhaji Obesere even said he was going to take me to the best hospital for treatment. At the end, I rose to leave and they offered to drop me in my place. The IPO also insisted that I should follow them. Instead of taking me to my area, they took me to Obesere's house and the woman who introduced me to him was also there. While I was with them I alerted the police at Isolo and told them where I was. But yesterday, they called after they saw the publication and started threatening again to kill me. I am highly terrified, that was why I travelled back to my home to get some treatment."
