| 'Why People think I'm A Lesbian' – Iyabo Ojo Finally Speaks Out! Posted: 16 Mar 2014 10:20 AM PDT  Iyabo Ojo is Known to be one of the most popular actresses in the English movie genre before retracing her steps to the Yoruba genre, Iyabo Ojo started acting in 1977 when she was introduced to Keppy Ekpeyong by Bimbo Akintola. A graduate of Estate Management from the Lagos State Polytechnic and mother of two, she told Daily Newswatch the genesis of her beef with Lizzy Anjorin, her widely reported romance with Muka Ray among many other controversial issues. Excerpts: Who is Iyabo Ojo? I am from Ogun State, Itoko to be precise, an actress and I have two younger brothers. I am the only of the family girl. My father is late, while my mother Mrs. Olubunmi is still alive. My brothers are based in the United Kingdom while my mother stays here with me. I was born on December 21, 1977. I am a graduate of Estate Management from the Lagos State Polytechnic and married with two children; Festus and Pricilla. Your latest work Arinzo received a lot of kudos. What do you have to say to that? My latest work, 'Arinso', is from God, because the film really gave me what I wanted as a film. The film even won an award at the 2011 Abuja Film Festival. It costs us a lot of money though; we spent so much. By 'we', I mean Corporate Pictures. The huge amount spent was because half of the project was done in Ghana, and I have to fly all my artistes and crew to Ghana, and Ghanaians were forced to confess that I was the first producer to bring a lot of crew and artistes to Ghana to shoot a film. I intend showing the film in Cinema in countries like Nigeria, Ghana and the United Kingdom. I am also planning to shoot a comedy film as well as working on project called pink ladies which is an NGO. Tell us more about your NGO Yes, it is no more Pink sexy ladies. We just changed the name. It all started like a child's play, more like BB stuff among us friends. You see, I have this passion to give. We want to help the less privileged children. Are all your members actresses? No, they are not; we just have few actresses there. We have business women from Nigeria and United Kingdom. So many important personalities are involved, so I have to change it from Pink Sexy Ladies to Pinkie Foundation. I am the president while my friends are supporters. But people are saying the group is formed to encouraged lesbianism? I think that story came up because I am an actress. You known as an actress whatever I do is a story; so there is no iota of truth in that story. I don't support or believe in lesbianism. I am actually sorry for lesbians; I had never supported lesbianism, I don't find it godly. We just formed it to help one another; to help our businesses and to help empower women. We contribute monthly for this project. So you are saying that the group has nothing to do with lesbianism as being alleged I established this group in 2001, and its aims were to bring women together irrespective of age or social class, support one another and share business and health ideas, as well as improve family values. My foundation is not about that. Do I look like a lesbian? I am not a lesbian. Nigerians like attaching irrelevant things to something. But it hasn't stopped me from achieving my goals. 80% of the women in the group are married with kids. But what is your view about lesbianism? I am not in support of lesbianism? I don't have a problem with those who practice it; it's their choice, but I don't believe in it because it's not normal. It's not biblical. I am not condemning the practitioners, but for me it's abnormal Are you in support of lesbianism? Why should I be in support of lesbianism? I am not one who supports Lesbi. I don't have a problem with those who practice it, it's their choice but I do not believe in it because I don't think it's normal. It's not biblical. | Popular Nollywood Actor Arrested For R*ping Friend's Daughter! [PHOTOS] Posted: 16 Mar 2014 09:20 AM PDT  Mr Ganiyu Oyeyemi, a popular star in the Nollywood Yoruba movie industry has been arrested by Osun State Police officials. The veteran movie star popularly called Ogunjimi was arrested this past Tuesday after his victim reported the alleged r*pe case to the police. The victim accused him of carrying out forceful intimacy on her in his hometown of Osogbo in Osun state. For further verification, a medical doctor carried out series of test on the victim which proved that the actor had forced intimacy with the 22-year-old lady who reported him to the police. According to sources, the victim and her mother were living with Ogunjimi at his home in Osogbo and he was responsible for their upkeep until recently. The rape case happened after the victim's mother left her with the actor in Osogbo and moved to Lagos. The victim reported the case to some area residents who took her to Oke Baale Police station. As we speak, the actor's case has been transferred to SCID due to pressure being mounted on Oke Baale Police officials by influential people to release him. Osun Police spokeswoman, Mrs Folashade Odoro who confirmed that the case had been reported to the police, also confirmed that the popular Yoruba actor was being detained at the SCID, Osogbo. (Photos) Posted: 16 Mar 2014 09:14 AM PDT  A teenage girl from Zimbabwe is rearing an abandoned baby squirrel - in her hair.Hammy was just days old when he was found on the cold office floor of the Bally Vaughan Wildlife Sanctuary. Abby Putterill, 16, whose parents run an animal sanctuary 40km from the capital Harare, says Hammy, a mopane squirrel, climbed into her tied-up hair one day and decided to stay.  Abby's mother Debbie Putterill, who co-owns the park with husband Gordon, took the baby back to her home.To the amazement of the family, Hammy made for her daughter, climbed on to her head and snuggled in to her hair.Abby wears her hair in a loose ponytail which she usually has tied up at the back, making a wonderful home-from-home for Hammy. Barring sleeping and showering, the squirrel and the schoolgirl are practically inseparable.The schoolgirl and her furry companion have been together for two months - and he is thriving. | Bishop Dies After Wife Forced Him To Confess His Infidelity In Front Of his Congregation! [PHOTOS] Posted: 16 Mar 2014 07:18 AM PDT   A Connecticut Bishop who heads the Miracle Faith World Outreach Church has died in front of his congregation last week Sunday after his family reportedly publicly confronted him about a past act of infidelity that his wife of 50 years, Christine, pushed him to confess in the presence of his congregation. The Bishop confessed to his wife that he had an affair long time ago, and he felt it was right to tell her now because he wanted to be 'clean'. The wife after the Sunday service announced to the congregation that the Bishop has a message for them. Soon as he walked him, not knowing what was waiting for him, his wife said, 'tell them what you told me', the shocked Bishop didn't know what to say and he made the confession. But his congregation were glad he did, and they started echoing the same words, 'we forgive you, we love you'. But it seems his immediate family weren't pleased as one of his sons attacked him, and his daughter poured him water. The bishop who couldn't look up immediately suffered heart attack and was pronounced dead at the hospital he was rushed too. The Police have been invited to look into the matter, but they said there was nothing criminal about it. A church member said the matter should have been handled privately, and the Bishop who doubles as a certified marriage and family therapist was shocked his family treated him that way, and that was what led to his sudden death. A close church member also said his wife had asked him who the lady was, but the man replied that it does not matter any more because she is no more.
