Sources in the know disclosed that the couple's marriage which was contracted after the death of Mide's mum several years back packed up on an alleged infidelity accusation by Afeez.
The couple have been having issues with their marriage several months back but the crack became evident after the couple started living separately with the kids of the union living with Mide.
Insiders alleged that Afeez accused Mide of infidelity and had separated from the actress despite pleas from friends and family.
Mide and Afeez are both theatre arts practitioners in Nollywood.
Mide joined the industry shortly after her mum's death and married Afeez Abiodun a while after.
Investigations showed further that the duo have moved on with Afeez publicly showing off his new love interest and Mide yet be to publicly identified with a love interest.
Efforts to speak to both Mide and Afeez met a brick wall as the thespians refused picking their calls and text messages sent to them weren't replied.

Panic And Confusion as Student attacks teacher with machete! [PHOTO]

Osogbo Grammar School

There was anxiety over the state of health of a teacher at the Osogbo Grammar School, Osun State, identified simply as Mr. Olamoyegun, on Thursday as a pupil of the Government Technical College in the town attacked him with a machete
Although what led to the attack on the teacher was still sketchy, our correspondent, however, gathered that the pupil pulled a surprise attack on the teacher, making it impossible for him to defend himself.
Some pupils of the OGS told our correspondent that the attacker, whose name had yet to be identified, attacked the teacher from the back and inflicted a deep cut on his head with the cutlass.
One of the OGS pupils, whose name is withheld for security purpose, said, "I think the person that attacked Mr. Olamoyegun is a cultist. That is what everybody is saying here because he just sneaked behind our teacher and attacked him with the cutlass in his hand. He did not give Mr. Olamoyegun the chance to defend himself.
"Now, everybody is worried because nobody knows whether our teacher survived the attack."
PUNCH Metro, however, learnt that Olamoyegun was rushed to the Government House Clinic from where he was referred to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
Some of his colleagues in the school said he had been responding to treatment.
But when the Principal of Osogbo Grammar School, Mr. A. O. Akinlusi, was contacted on the telephone, he declined comment.
He said, "Go to Dada Estate Police Station. Members of the group involved are in  police custody."
The Police Public Relations Officer for the state command, Mrs. Folasade Odoro, promised to find out what actually happened and call our correspondent back. She, however, had not done this as of the time of going to the press.
But the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command, Mr. Ayo Olowe, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the telephone.
Olowe said, "The teacher has been treated and he is now okay. The situation is calm now."
A similar incident happened at St. Mark Grammar School, Osogbo on Wednesday where a pupil was reportedly stabbed by one of his mates.
Although there was apprehension in the school over the condition of the pupil, he was said to have survived the attack.
There has been growing incidences of violent attack in secondary schools in the state following the merger of schools in the new education policy of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
There was a violent clash at Baptist Girls High School, Osogbo about three weeks ago as some suspected   cult members in the school engaged in a bloody clash with a rival cult group from another secondary school.
The Principal of Baptist High School, Ejigbo, Mr. Layi Oguntola, was also attacked last week by some Muslim youths, who invaded the school over the allegation that he sent a pupil wearing Hijab, a scarf for Muslim women, away from the school.
Oguntola has debunked the claim, saying he merely caned the female pupil because she  was unruly.

Nigerian Couple jailed in UK For internet banking, plot to steal N5Trillion!

Posted: 07 Dec 2013 11:10 AM PST

A young Nigerian couple were part of a global internet banking scam which could have netted a phenomenal £19million after hacking the accounts of nearly 2,500 people.
According to Reports From Dailymail

Aderoju Bammeke, 22, and his girlfriend Jessica Ogunyemi, 20, both of Manchester, were the UK 'platform' for a Nigerian 'phishing' scam that made £41,000 in just two months.

The plot, masterminded by a gang in the West African country, involved sending fake emails to customers of banks including Barclays and Halifax.
Aderoju Bammeke, 22, from Harpurhey, Manchester, who was part of a global internet scam that could have netted £19million
Jessica Ogunyemi, 20, from Withington, Manchester, who helped Bammeke launder money earned from the scam

The emails told recipients that their accounts had been hacked and asked them to complete a form with their log-in details.

But when victims obliged, Bammeke stepped in and helped the gang log in to steal money.

Bammeke has now been jailed for three-and-a-half years at Manchester Crown Court after admitting conspiracy to commit fraud and unauthorised computer use.

Ogunyemi admitted five counts of money laundering and was given a suspended prison sentence.

Investigators found evidence of the scam on seven devices at Bammeke's home, which had accessed 181 accounts from his address.

But Barclays found 2,439 customers had been affected and investigators say the true scale of the fraud will never be known.

Bammeke admitted he had been involved in the scam for more than a year. He played a 'key role' as England's 'platform' for the scam, the court heard.

He said if the gang had tried to log into accounts from Nigeria it would have triggered the banks' alarm systems.

Simon Nichol, defending Bammeke, said he felt regret and remorse for his actions.

He said his involvement - which began in an effort to tackle student debt - was 'sporadic' and although the scam was large scale with international dimensions, Bammeke's part was not.

He added: 'They needed a platform in this jurisdiction and they needed someone to provide that platform. He allowed them to use his computer remotely. He expresses further regret that he got his girlfriend involved in this.'
'Naive': Fashion marketing student Ogunyemi, Bammeke's girlfriend at the time, helped him launder the proceeds by putting funds in accounts, hiding cash and allowing him to buy her a £2,400 Vauxhall Corsa

'Naive': Fashion marketing student Ogunyemi, Bammeke's girlfriend at the time, helped him launder the proceeds by putting funds in accounts, hiding cash and allowing him to buy her a £2,400 Vauxhall Corsa

Michael Lavery, defending Ogunyemi, said she had brought shame on her family, including her train driver father and mother who works for Manchester council.

He said she had been 'naive', was predicted to get a first in her degree and was no longer in a relationship with Bammeke.

Bammeke had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to conspiracy to commit fraud and unauthorised computer use while Ogunyemi admitted five counts of money laundering.

Sentencing Bammeke, Judge Recorder Gibson said: 'This in my opinion was a sophisticated fraud, a clever fraud and a fraud which could very easily have resulted in very much more substantial money being stolen.'

He jailed Ogunyemi for a year, suspended for two years, and ordered her to complete 180 hours' unpaid work.

After the hearing, Detective Superintendent Janet Hudson of TITAN, the North-West Regional Crime Unit, said: 'The actions of Bammeke and Ogunyemi caused a great deal of stress and uncertainty to many affected bank customers who had their accounts accessed.

'As a result of the investigation, no customers were left out of pocket and the offenders were arrested and ultimately sentenced. Internet banking is considered a safe and secure method of banking.

'However, bank customers need to remain vigilant and aware of the danger posed by fraudsters. Customers should only ever navigate directly to an online bank website and should never click on any link sent to them through an email.

'Additionally when accessing bank accounts online customers should always be aware of the exact address in order to ensure that they are actually on a legitimate banking website.'

A Catholic priest in Imo State is being investigated by the police in the state over unlawful possession of firearms. The priest, said to be in-charge of one of the prominent Parishes in Dikenafai, Ideato South Local Government area, Imo State, was arrested for allegedly being in possession of three unlicensed guns with which he allegedly threatened the lives of his parishioners.
The guns which include one pump action riffle, one double-barrelled gun and a locally-made pistol allegedly belonging to the priest were recovered from his official residence by operatives of Special Armed Robbery Squad, SARS, Imo State Police Command acting on a tip off from concerned parishioners.
The reverend father was arrested and detained briefly but granted bail by the police following the intervention of some influential religious and political leaders in the state.
The controversy surrounding the catholic priest, according to a police source, stemmed from a tragedy that occurred in January 2010, after the death of a prominent indigene of the area. The resident priest was said to have raised issues over the burial ceremony which inflamed the natives and they had to lodge formal complaints to the Bishop of the area over the way the priest was allegedly calling people names while conducting services.
The source told Vanguard that the matter became worse after armed robbers reportedly attacked the priest in his official residence and he openly accused some prominent citizens of the area of masterminding the robbery.
Following his open accusation, some of them to write a petition to the Commissioner of Police in Imo State, accusing the priest of threatening their lives with dangerous weapons. The Police boss acted on the petition and sent detectives from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, to the residence of the priest where some weapons were allegedly recovered.
Investigation into the case is ongoing by the police to ascertain the source of the guns found at the residence of the controversial priest, and possibly what they are being used for.

15-Foot Snake Killed In Ekiti [PHOTO]

A 23-year old farmer in Ado-Ekiti, Bayo Ibrahim, killed an amazing 15-foot snake close to the Ado-Afao-Ekiti road.
Spectators called it various names, including "Aminurin", "Ojola" and "Ako Monomono", which are all Yoruba names for a massive snake.
It was learnt that the snake had been killing domestic animals, including dogs, sheep, goats and chickens.
The size of the snake attracted spectators from as far as Odo-Ado, Oke-Ila, Basiri, Nova Road and GRA in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, to the sparsely-populated Afao road, turning it into a Mecca of sorts.
The spectators said: "We have never seen anything like this"; "Is this what we have been living with?" and "This is the wonder of the year in Ekiti".
They pushed one another to catch a view of the snake, which some said was big enough to feed, at least 40 sturdy men.
Ibrahim, who hails from Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, said he saw three snakes while grazing his herd close to the road and killed them with a cutlass.
He said: "I am a cattle rearer. I saw three snakes in a small bush and killed them with my cutlass. I sold two yesterday for N10,000 each. I have also sold this last one for N10,000 to that man.
"I have killed about 12 of such snakes. They always kill our dogs and goats. But they have not killed any person. They do not kill by biting. They roll round their prey and suffocate it, until it dies. If you want to kill them, aim for the head and do not miss it, because if you do, it can be fatal. If you are scared, do not go near it, but if you are sharp and quick, you will kill it easily."
Many spectators said it was strange to see such a long and thick snake.
Ajayi Adekunle said: "To me and most of us here, it is new. I have seen such snakes many times in movies, but never in real life. It will easily kill and swallow humans. You can see how big it is. Even a car cannot kill it. I urge people living in this area to be careful, as more of this snake may still be around here."

"The s*x tape took me to another level in my career" - Chidinma!

Posted: 07 Dec 2013 02:42 PM PST

I woke up one morning and I was greeted on the internet with 'Chidinma and sex tape'. I was worried primarily because of my mother. I didn't let her see the video but I had to show her the photos. I didn't want to go out that day. I couldn't go out. But my mum felt otherwise. She told me to ignore the mischief makers. I almost took some actions but I thought against it. I met Sound Sultan on a set. He told me, 'Babe, you are now a star. I welcome you officially into the industry.' I trended for three days. Even people who didn't know me got to know me. My fan base grew. And then, I was happy because more than 90 per cent of the public didn't believe I was the one in that video.
There were people who didn't need to see the video to believe I couldn't have done such thing. I am just grateful to everyone who didn't believe the story. My twitter account was hacked and the people created another account. They kept releasing nasty pictures and they were even responding to the tweets as if I was the one doing it. I was just watching and laughing. It put me in the spotlight. I used it for good.

Ever since I started, I have been scared of scandals. I didn't want to have any. But I realised that I cannot run away from it. It is just normal. It is not everybody who is happy seeing me rise. Some people are trying to do something to stop me. But s*x tape is not enough to stop me. They should bring up something else. The s*x tape just took me to another level in my career. It moved me up. This is no more 'little' Chidinma. It didn't bring me down in any way. I am still doing a lot of things.

Nollywood Popular Actor Abandons Fiancé For Another Woman!

Posted: 07 Dec 2013 05:14 AM PST

There are reports that Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo may have found love again different from the pretty lady he reportedly proposed to a while ago..

This is because the new catch seems to know how to make Kenneth happier than the dumped lady.
Recall that Kenneth was reportedly engaged to one Mariam Kess Momoh, but as it stands now, Mariam will not have the privilege to be Mrs Okonkwo, as the former Mr Nigeria has found solace in the arms of one Maureen Esisi.
According to what is being discussed within the Nollywood circuit, Kenneth met Maureen some months ago through a mutual friend. One thing led to the other, they started seeing each other and allegedly started providing warmth for each other when the weather was too cold to bear alone.
"Ken is very fond of Maureen," according to a tale-bearer. "The babe (Maureen) is a London chic, she is a fashion designer and has a store of hers where she sells wears. She surely knows how to keep a man asking for more," another industry gossip told us.
What some do not know is if Kenneth will take Maureen to the altar. "From what we are observing, Kenneth might want Maureen as his wife, but we doubt if Maureen is thinking in that direction," one of the tale-bearers said.

The sad part was that, they had already finished their exams, but came to school that morning for their end of year party. Blood stains littered the floor while plates, spoons and food meant for the party were seen scattered all over.
Some parents and relations who lost their children and wards were seen weeping uncontrollably while others were making inquiries regarding the whereabouts of their children and wards.
