Well this is very disturbing, well Pakurumo.com gathered that this happened today about a Tricycle (keke napep) driver playing with his phone on the rail, Yes the train Rail. 
With his ears occupied with earphones listening to whatever he was listening to, according to Reliable Sources they said he didn't hear the train horn, which is quite absurd but why didnt anybody tell him? 
Like a blind person can sense a train coming due to the vibration and all.

Anyway when the Train "met" the guy, his head hit the ground and cut off his two legs and he was immediately rushed to the Mortuary. 
How sad the story is but we should really be careful with the way we carelessly ping and plug our ears on the street of lagos.

During his interview with Factory 78 the singer disclosed that he has gotten past the bad way he and Don Jazzy disgraced each other on twitter some days ago.
The 'Black Diamond Entertainment' boss also revealed that he will show to the Mavin Records boss that he has nothing against him.
According to Wande Coal, he would hug Don Jazzy whenever he sees him anywhere just to show that 'old things are passed away, behold, he is now a new creature and things have become new.'
Well, time will tell whether it was sarcasm or not.

Many who wish to be successful and influential wonder how others have achieved great things, thinking such feats are impossible in their bid to toe same path.
Nigeria boasts a slew of successful CEOs in almost every sector – banking, oil and gas, sports, health and manufacturing. LEADERSHIP Friday unveils some of Nigeria's highest paid CEOs and the stories behind their rise to the top, based on authoritative reports, between 2009 and 2012.

CEO, Stanbic IBTC, Sola David-Borha 

As the managing director/CEO of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc, David-Borha is one of the country's highly-rated bankers. She is the highest paid director in Nigeria's banking sector, with an annual remuneration of N177m. When broken down, this becomes N484, 931 daily, including weekends when may have no reason to go to work.
David-Borha has patiently risen through the ranks to get to where she is today. She was, at different times, responsible for overseeing the corporate finance and corporate banking, projects and structure finance, as well as asset management and private banking departments. At a time, she bore the burden of supervising treasury and finance services department.
David-Borha also headed the correspondent banking relationships' department at Stanbic IBTC and served as a member of the executive committee. She was appointed to the bank's board in 1994 and has held other positions, including a spell as director of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Stanbic Nominees Nigeria Limited and Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited. She was also appointed a member of the board of Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC).  She did not miss serving as a member of the bank's board credit, board nominations and risk management committees.
 Having passed through these stages before rising to the pinnacle, David- Borha can be said to have, indeed, paid her dues and can be said to have exhibited a great degree of competence, experience, long career plan and hard work to get to her present position.

CEO, Mobil Oil Nigeria Limited, Tunji Oyebanji

Mobil Oil Nigeria (MON) is one of Nigeria's major petroleum products marketing companies. As its chief executive officer, Oyebanji is on an annual remuneration of N85m. When broken down, this amounts to a daily pay of about N231, 956.
As chairman/CEO/managing director of MON, there is no doubt that Oyebanji's hard-work, commitment and dedication has been largely responsible for the turn-around which the company's fortune has experienced, making it stand tall among other competing oil corporates.
The company now operates more than 200 retail outlets spread across the 36 states of Nigeria and the Fedeeral Capital Territory; it owns three plants (in Apapa, Lagos State) where lubricants, petroleum jelly and insecticides are manufactured.
As at 2011, MON had an annual turn-over of N63.1bn, from N58.34bn in 2010. With a combined dividend per share of N5 and bonus issue of one for five shares, MON has, arguably, the industry's highest priced stock.

CEO, GTBank, Olusegun Agbaje

The managing director/CEO of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Olusegun J.K. Agbaje, is rated as one of the country's highest paid CEOs. His GTB prides itself as "the biggest and most profitable bank in Nigeria" and one of the biggest companies on the shores of West Africa. Agbaje co-founded the GTB in 1990 with Tayo Aderinokun who died in 2011.His annual take-home is a whopping N77m.
Before assuming the current position, Agbaje was the deputy managing director of the bank between August 2002 and April 20, 2011. He has also served as the divisional head of the bank's institutional banking division and also as acting MD of GTB (Ghana) Limited, from April 20, 2011.
Interestingly, Agbaje has served in a number of capacities before becoming the man at the helm of the bank's affairs. He was, at different points in his career; member, Assets and Liability Management Committee; member, Criticised Assets Committee; member, Board, Information Technology Strategy Committee and member, Board, Risk Management Committee.
On his way to the top, Agbaje also served as member, board, Human Resources and Nomination Committee; member, Management Risk Committee and member, Management Credit Committee.  Experience garnered from serving in these committees helped, in no small measure, in preparing him for the current position of CEO.

CEO, Oando Plc, Jubril Adewale Tinubu

According to recent financial reports, the second highest paid CEO in the oil sector is Wale Tinubu, with a total annual remuneration of N69m, an equivalent of N189, 041 per day.
Tinubu is the group chief executive of the company which has been hailed as Africa's leading indigenous energy solutions provider listed on the stock exchange in Nigeria and Johannesburg. Tinubu also has a record of long-time service, having served on the board of various blue-chip companies as chairman and director.
His outstanding performance has won him several awards, among which are; Africa's Business Leader of the Year awarded by the African Business Magazine and the Commonwealth Council on the basis of his contributions to the development of the African oil and gas sector in 2010. He won the same accolade in 2011, courtesy of the African Investor.
These accolades are proof that Tinubu's ascension to the pinnacle of the administrative ladder in Oando was no fluke but a function of his doggedness and hard-work. Tinubu also holds key positions in a number of major financial institutions.

CEO, Forte Oil Plc, Akin Akinfemiwa

Forte Oil Plc. (formally African Petroleum Plc.) is a foremost indigenous major marketer of refined petroleum products with strong presence in the 36 states of the federation and Abuja. According to recent reports, as its group chief executive officer, Akinfemiwa's annual salary is N64m (N175, 342 per day).
Prior to this appointment, Akinfemiwa had a successful career in the banking sector. He served as the CEO of Sky Bank Plc, until July 31, 2010. His expertise covers a range of areas, including; strategic planning and management, corporate banking, project financing, leadership and advisory services. He has also served as managing director/CEO of Prudent Bank.
Akinfemiwa has now brought his hard-work to bear on the fortunes of Forte Oil Plc. The public liability company which is quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has over 500 dealer-assisted and dealer-developed retail outlets spread across the country.

CEO, UBA, Phillips Oduoza

Phillips Oduoza is the chief executive officer, group managing director, and an executive director of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc. He is one of the highest paid CEOs in the banking sector, with an annual remuneration of N57m (as at 2010). It suffices to say that Oduoza is one of the few who can beat their chest in fulfilment of a banking career.
He became the CEO and managing director of the bank in August 2010 and has served as its deputy managing director (South) from the 2005. Besides having the honour of having gained monumental experience from working across different banks for more than 20 years, he has served also as the bank's executive director of Retail Financial Services. UBA's fortune, no doubt, has snow-balled, with results from his professional services and investment of talents as proof.
His services in the bank cut across membership of the board risk committee and financial and general purpose committee. Before assuming the position of CEO, he served as deputy managing director of the bank. Among many other designations, he was an executive director of the defunct Standard Trust Bank (STB) which was acquired by the UBA in the thick of the consolidation exercise introduced by the then-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

CEO, Ecobank Nigeria, Jubril Aku

According to a Banks' Financial Transparency report, as at 2009, the bank ranked second on the list of highest paid bank CEOs in Nigeria, with N88m per annum as salary for its CEO. But the bank reportedly slashed the CEO's emolument to N38m per annum, perhaps, as a measure against financial stress.
Jubril Aku is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Ecobank Nigeria Plc. He has been its managing director since March 2010. Aku served as acting treasurer, Citibank, Tanzania and as country treasurer, Citibank Nigeria Plc.
He began his banking career in 1979 with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc., where he worked for three years from September, 1986 to December, 1989. He served at the Continental Merchant Bank Plc., where he worked as a credit and investment analyst.
Aku has served in various capacities with different financial institutions and is, by all standards, an accomplished banker.
Au's academic brilliance has earned him several accolades, among which are the First Bank of Nigeria Plc Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Banking and Finance at the Ahmadu Bello University, from where he graduated with honours in 1986.

CEO, Zenith Bank, Godwin Emefiele

The CEO and group managing director of Zenith Bank Plc, Godwin Emefiele, is also one of the highest paid CEOs of Nigerian companies. Emefiele succeeded the pioneer CEO of the bank, Jim Ovia, in August 2010. By his current position in the bank's hierarchy and the number of branches it can bboast of within the country and in West Africa, it is evident that Emefiele is fulfilled.
Prior to his choice of banking as a career in Zenith Bank, Emefiele was a lecturer in University of Nigeria and University of Port Harcourt where he taught Finance, Bank Management and Insurance. However, he later left the academia for banking. He joined Zenith as a pioneer staff over 22 years ago and has proved his worth in advancing the bank as well as increasing its fortunes and profitability. In 2001, he was appointed deputy managing director before succeeding Ovia three years ago.
He has also served as member of Executive Committee, member of Board Credit Committee, member of Staff Matters, Finance and General Purpose Committee and member of Board Risk Management Committee.  Emefiele's services and impact were also felt in Management Global Credit Committee, Risk Management committee, Assets and Liabilities Committee and Information Technology Steering Committee where he served as member.
The advancements made by the bank are not without the inputs of Emefiele who served as executive director in charge of corporate banking. He as well served in the treasury, financial control and strategic planning department. He has been in the management team of Zenith Bank from its inception.

SHOCKER!!! Osun Monarch Strangled And Burnt To Death!

Some chiefs and residents of Ilashe Ijesa in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State on Thursday narrated how the monach of the town, Oba Adesina Anibijuwon, was killed by suspected members of Odua People's Congress, who allegedly strangled him and left his corpse inside his residence which they set ablaze.
Those who recovered his corpse from the building said the charred remains of Anibijuwon were taken to the mortuary at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital in Osogbo by Osun Ambulance Service at around 10.30pm on Wednesday.
The ambulance that conveyed the remains of the monarch was said to have been escorted to the mortuary by armed policemen and some residents. The residents feared that those who killed him might want to seize his corpse.
Some residents who also spoke with our correspondent said the officials of the state fire service, who came to put out the inferno, ran out of water.
Some residents wondered why some chiefs in the town went into hiding when the hoodlums invaded the palace, urging the police to interrogate them to see if they were culpable.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Sunday Akere; his counterpart at the Ministry of Home, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Sikiru Ayedun; and the Special Adviser on Security, Mr. Amos Adekunle, who visited the  town expressed shock on seeing the extent of damage done to the residence of the traditional ruler.
Our correspondent, who also visited the town, observed that the upper floor of the two-storey building where the monarch resided was completely razed.
One of the chiefs, Adejumo Operinmade, told PUNCH Metro that he was informed that some persons, who claimed to be OPC members, came and demanded to see the monarch, but they were told that he was asleep.
He stated that the strange visitors came back and they pointed a gun to the head of the monarch's housemaid. They allegedly went to late Anibijuwon's room and strangled the octogenarian monarch who had been blind for over nine years.
Operinmade said, "We were told that some gunmen who claimed to be OPC members came and wanted to see Kabiyesi but they were told that he was sleeping.
"They came back and held the housemaid living with Kabiyesi hostage and went to where Kabiyesi was sleeping. But immediately they came out, fire started and Kabiyesi was burnt inside the house.  His corpse was taken to the mortuary at LAUTECH."
The Sasore of Ilase, Chief Oluwagbemiga Oke, said there was no land dispute or chieftaincy tussle in the town, wondering why the suspected arsonists killed the monarch.
Chief Jumoke Ogunkeyede, whose brother gave  the burnt residence to the monarch, also said he heard that the hoodlums, who perpetrated the act, had an accident at the outskirts of the town while escaping from the scene.
He said, "We heard that they came in a red Mazda 323 and their car veered off into the bush while they were speeding away. We called journalists  from Osun State Broadcasting Corporation at Ibokun, but when they got there  to take photographs of the car, they saw that the it had been set ablaze.
"They also removed the number plate of the car. I believe that they set the car ablaze to hide their identities. But the police could still find a way of unraveling those behind the killing and arson."
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Folasade Odoro, told our correspondent on the telephone that the command had commenced investigation into the matter.
She said, "We are pleading with members of the public to always furnish police with information any time they suspect strange persons and movement in their areas. This will assist the police to prevent crimes."

It's just paper gains, but it counts. Nigerian banker Tony O. Elumelu has become at least $123 million richer between November 1 and November 21 as shares of Transcorp PLC, a Nigerian-Stock Exchange-listed conglomerate, surged 186% in that period.
Transnational Corporation Of Nigeria, usually referred to as Transcorp, is an emerging conglomerate holding investments in hotels, power and agriculture. On November 1, the company's stock was trading at N1.87 ($0.01), and at the close of trading today (Thursday), the stock was trading at N5.35 ($5.35). According to an analyst who did not want to be quoted, there has been an unprecedented demand for Transcorp's shares at the bourse on account of the company's recent acquisition of the Ughelli Power plant, a strategic power generation company that the government recently sold in a privatization exercise.

Transcorp PLC, under Elumelu's leadership, acquired the plant for $300 million. Transcorp officially took over the plant on November 1. Investors are scrambling for the stock in anticipation of the long-term impact the new acquisition will likely have on Transcorp's financial results.

Elumelu began gobbling up shares in the company in April 2011 through his wholly-owned proprietary investment vehicle, Heirs Holdings. In September 2011, he was appointed chairman of the company, promising to diversify the company's business interests and deliver value to shareholders – promises he seems to have delivered on. He currently owns over 5.7 billion shares of the company (5,745,890,693 to be exact, according to Transcorp's latest corporate filings), held in his own name and via Heirs Holdings, equating to a 22.26% stake, making him the company's largest individual shareholder. His shares in Transcorp alone are now valued at N30.7 billion or $188 million.  A representative for Elumelu could not be reached for comment at press time.

Elumelu made his fortune by acquiring a small, struggling Nigerian commercial bank and building it into the United Bank of Africa Group, a leading financial services institution with operations in several African countries as well as in New York and London. He stepped down as the bank's CEO in 2010 to focus on investing in African businesses through his private investment vehicle, Heirs Holdings and to groom Africa's next generation of business leaders through his Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Popular singer, Enetimi Odom, aka Timaya, seems to have been off the entertainment scene for awhile. It was a tough call chasing him around Lagos for many weeks before he finally gave our correspondent an appointment for an interview in his home in the Lekki area of Lagos.
It was obvious that the self-styled Egberi Papa 1 had not quite recovered from the impact of his breakup with a controversial actress that he dated a few years ago.
Although it is common knowledge that Timaya broke up with the actress in 2009, he confessed that the relationship had robbed off on him badly and wished he could be rid of the attendant negative aura.
"You should not date somebody who already has a negative record. In my own case, it affected me at that time. I feel that a relationship should be between two people and not exposed to the rest of the world. Only a smart man is able to keep his relationship private.
"You see, Desmond Elliot and Jimmy Jatt are both married, but you will never see their wives in public. Naturally I'm a private person. The only thing that takes me out of my shell is my music, which is what I do for a living. It seems that the only thing people know about me is that ugly episode. So I don't like to talk about it," he says, adding that he has learnt a lesson from the experience.
However, the singer is currently involved in what he describes as a healthy relationship and he has since moved on with his life.
Apart from that single dark spot in his life, Timaya seems to have been on top of his game since his fortunes shot up about a decade ago. During that period, he earned a fat bank account, recorded six successful albums and scored several chartbusting hits. The seventh album is currently in the works.
In spite of his achievements, the artiste, who considers his maiden album to be the turning point in his career, nurses a secret desire.
"I wish I had the power to heal people. I am always inspired whenever I see men of God like Bishop David Oyedepo preaching and teaching people. They practise the same teachings and become millionaires overnight. I wish I can do that with my music. I would love to be a pastor. I really want to be one," he says.
Describing himself as 'privileged' to be considered relevant in the competitive Nigerian music industry, Timaya says he has reached the point where there should be a change in his career and focus. To prove that he is serious about this, he has shed his dreadlocks and started experimenting on a new music style with his last album. The album is titled 'Upgrade' and it was released in 2012.
Although many fans think the album is riddled with lewd songs, such as 'Ukwu' and 'Shake your bum', the singer expresses a different opinion.
"A lot of people think I love the female backside a lot and that is why I sing about it all the time. But then, people will always complain, no matter what you do. When I was still singing conscious music they complained that my songs were always full of bile and loathing. The truth is that I sing about the way I feel at any point," he says.
Interestingly Timaya is currently writing his memoir, which will be out in 2014. Regarding his decision to write the book, he says, "I am at the point where I feel that people can read and be inspired by my story rather than me singing songs."
When probed further about the content of the book, he lets out a teaser, "I have also told the story of a ex-girlfriend of mine who always wanted to have sex whenever she was in the mood for it."
Although the singer enjoys being a father, marriage is not in his plans yet.
"I am not considering marriage for now. But it is something I must do. Before now, I wanted a child and God gave me one. I don't want to have children from different women. My father had 15 children and I am the last child. I don't want to live like that. The truth is, I'am not ready to get married now," he says.
Unlike most other successful artistes, Timaya is not the type to show off his wealth or material acquisitions especially on the social media.
 "I don't show off on social media because It is not just my thing. I bought a Bentley two years ago and everyone started buying theirs. I m not even sure some people know I own one. I bought my G-Wagon two years ago. Some people will buy a shoe and put it out there for everyone to see. I simply don't fancy that. Music has made me rich and it gave me the opportunity to travel out of the country," he says.
For now, all that matters to the artiste, who was once a backup singer for Eedris Abdulkareem, is promoting his newest artiste, Patoranking, as well as re-positioning his label, DM Records, for the future.

The singer who is gearing up for the release of a new single started his day by dropping by Ikeja Government Primary School where he presented the pupils with stationery and electronics to aid learning. Afterwards he visited the Heart of Gold Children's Hospice & the Heritage Homes Orphanage and showered the residents with gift items.

ASUU, Ondo University Disagrees Over Resumption Order!

THE striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko chapter, Ondo State and the university authorities are on a collision course over a directive that the students should resume for lectures.
Gates to the nation's public universities have been shut in the last 144 days due to trade dispute between ASUU and the Federal Government
Registrar of the state-owned university, R. B. Olotu in a statement in Akure directed the students to resume on Monday, November 25 for the second semester 2012/2013 session.
But in a swift reaction, the ASUU Chapter of the university  dissociated itself from the purported resumption of academic activities in the university.
The Chapter's chairperson,  Busuyi Mekusi  in a statement  asked members to disregard the directive.
Mekusi  said: "ASUU Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko Branch, wishes to dissociate itself from the purported resumption of academic activities in the university, as its members are still part of the ongoing national strike by the union.
"Members should, therefore, disregard any pull to abandon the struggle, and be steadfast until the present position is reviewed by NEC.
" The union also wants to make it abundantly clear that it would resist every tyrannical propensity to intimidate and harass its members."
The Registrar in his statement entitled: 'Resumption for the  2nd semester  2012/2013 session' directed  all the students of university to resume.
"All the students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, are hereby informed that academic activities of the second semester of 2012/2013 session truncated as a result of the ASUU national strike are to resume on Monday, 25th November, 2013 with the continuation of registration on the University portal (http://portal.aaua.edu.ng).
"Lectures are to start on Monday, 2nd December, 2013
It will be recalled that the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Femi Mimiko had about a month ago expressed worries over the continued closure of the university by Ondo State.
Prof. Mimiko threatened that he would recall the students if the four month old strike action was not suspended.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome our distinguished Council Members to the 15th meeting of the Honorary International Investor Council (HIIC) in London, and in particular, His Excellency Mohammed Al Shaibani, the new member who is here with us for the first time. His Excellency Al Shaibani is the Director General of the Ruler's Court, Government of Dubai, and the CEO and Executive Director of the Investment Corporation of Dubai. We are glad to have him join us, and look forward to his contributions and insights at Council.Dear Council Members, as we approach the end of 2013, it is only ideal that I begin this address first by thanking you all for your continued commitment to Nigeria. Our country is indeed honored to have friends and partners like you, with whom we can openly share ideas, and shape our agenda. With every HIIC meeting I attend, I am always encouraged to see the quality of the debate, the frankness of the conversation, and the big things Nigeria can achieve. I am also sure you likewise are inspired by the vast potential and opportunities within our great country. Indeed at the HIIC, I can sincerely say that we are all in very good company. The investment of your time and effort in driving the HIIC is recognized, and on behalf of the Nigerian people, I say thank you.This 15th meeting builds on the last conversation we had in Abuja and begins to address the fundamental issues constraining competitiveness and investment in Nigeria. Competitiveness ultimately drives profitability, which is what investors are seeking worldwide. To be competitive, we must address long standing issues, and introduce bold and courageous reforms, regardless of short term political pressures. This is why my government has remained steadfast in making Nigeria the preferred location for investors to do business, because it is our only pathway to create jobs, generate wealth, and guarantee our security.
In building a truly competitive environment for business, we are addressing the fundamental issues such as internal security and power supply head-on. For the first time in Nigeria's 53 year history, we have successfully privatized the electric power industry. We are bringing capital, technology, and operational excellence into the sector. As a result, 11 distribution companies, and four (4) generation companies have been privatized, realising over US$3 billion for Government.  For Council's information the assets were finally handed over on 1st November, 2013. I am delighted to inform you that investors are responding positively to the opportunities in the sector and we expect to see significant investments in the sector and across the value chain going forward. Ladies and Gentlemen, resolving the power sector alone, completely changes the paradigm on doing business in Nigeria, and we are satisfied with the progress made.Equally, although challenges remain, we are investing in the requisite security infrastructure and intelligence network that will enable us deal more effectively with the new threats we face which can and do hamper investor confidence in our economy. In ensuring that the environment is suitable for investment, we will also continue to intensify the fight against corruption. We are indeed happy that the private sector has begun complementing our strong desire to tackle all forms of rent seeking tendencies. The "Clean Business Nigeria Today" initiative coming from the meetings of the Council is a very good
example. I urge the Council Members and key functionaries of Government to meaningfully participate in the discussions towards our desire to transform the Nigerian economy to one of the world's largest economies by the year 2020.
I also use this opportunity to inform Council that Nigeria will be hosting the World Economic Forum on Africa, between the 7th and 9th of May 2014. Our hosting this event is yet again a strong sign of Nigeria's central economic and political role on the continent. The forthcoming World Economic Forum will be used to shape matters of inclusive growth on the continent, and I invite all members of Council to join us in Abuja in May 2014. Dear Council members, in the year 2013, I can sincerely say that Nigeria has attained significant momentum on the drive to attract new investors into the country, and also to encourage existing investors within the country to expand. In 2014, we must not lose this momentum, but rather broaden our interventions to address other difficult issues like the high cost of financing in the country, and the dearth of adequate skills.
The HIIC's core mandate of providing advice to attract investments into the country, and making Nigeria more competitive in the global economy is therefore as critical today, as it was almost 10 years ago when it was initially formed. Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, I thank you once again for your contributions to the growth and development of our great nation, and I very much look forward to sharing ideas with you all during this event

Police Rescue three women held Captive for 30 Years!!

British police on Thursday rescued three women from a London home where they were believed held as slaves for at least 30 years by a couple who were arrested.
Officials identified the victims as a 69-year-old Malaysian woman, a 57-year-old Irish woman and a 30-year-old Briton.
Police described the women as "highly traumatised".
Detectives arrested a 67-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman at their home in south London.
Police swooped after being contacted last month by the Freedom Charity, which received a call from a woman stating she had been held against her will in a house in London for more than 30 years, Scotland Yard said.
Police said the woman had contacted the charity — which helps young people to understand forced marriage and honour-based violence — after seeing a TV documentary featuring the group's work.
Detective Inspector Kevin Hyland, from Scotland Yard's Human Trafficking Unit, said: "A television documentary on forced marriages relating to the work of Freedom Charity was the catalyst that prompted one of the victims to call for help and led to their rescue."
Police inquiries established the location of the house and with the help of "sensitive negotiations" conducted by the charity, the three women were rescued.
"We applaud the actions of Freedom Charity and are working in partnership to support these victims who appear to have been held for over 30 years," Hyland said.
"We have launched an extensive investigation to establish the facts surrounding these very serious allegations."
Earlier this year, three women who were imprisoned in a house in Cleveland, Ohio, for more than a decade were freed
