SYNOPSIS
It's September 1960, and with Nigeria on the verge of independence from British colonial rule, a northern Nigerian Police Detective, DAN WAZIRI, is urgently despatched by the Colonial Government to the trading post town of Akote in the Western Region of Nigeria to solve a series of female murders that have struck horror in the hearts and minds of the local community. On getting to Akote, more murders are committed, and with local tension high and volatile, Waziri has a race on his hands to solve the case before even more local women are killed...

A man has told how he's only eaten raw meat for the past five years after a mystery illness caused him to develop an unusual appetite for bloody animal carcasses.
Derek Nance from Lexington, Kentucky, told VICE that he even brushes his teeth with animal fat in a bid to feed his odd food addiction and is training to become a butcher.
He claims that he never gets sick of eating the same thing and feels better than ever, adding 'the idea of cooked meat no longer appeals. It just tastes burned.'

He said that doctors thought he'd developed a food allergy when everything he ate started making him sick almost six years ago.


To combat his sudden weight loss, he scoured the internet to find treatment plans and diets.
At first he cut out wheat and dairy but when that didn't work he turned vegan, which also had no effect. 


Unique tastes: The former electrician even brushes his teeth with animal fat in a bid to feed his odd food addiction and is training to become a butcherHe then remembered a man he'd met, who'd experienced similar symptoms and recommended a carnivorous version of the Palaeolithic diet, popularly referred to as the caveman diet.



'I'd been sick for such a long time that I was willing to give anything a try.
'I had a couple of goats in my yard that I was using for milk and you know, I was tired of milking them so I slaughtered them.

'I ate both of those goats, all raw, and just switched over like that.'
At first he said he experienced mild diarrhea, as his body adapted to his new meat-loaded diet but three weeks later he was hooked.
'I noticed this real strong blood-like taste in the back of my throat and then all of a sudden I started getting strong cravings for it.'
Mr Nance is keen to spread the word about eating raw meat.
In a YouTube video, he demonstrates how to dissect a lamb's carcass, which he'd left to 'age' in his fridge for a couple of weeks.



One frame shows him cracking open the animal's legs to retrieve bone marrow and another sees him scooping out its brains, which he describes as being 'sweet', 'nutritious' and having the same consistency as pudding.
Adding a bizarre twist, Mr Nance's girlfriend, Joanne, is vegetarian.
However, she only recently decided to stick to greens and has tried her beau's diet in the past.
'Eating raw meat is just something my family can't accept. My father tells me that if I eat raw meat I'll get some sort of pathogen'
'We had lamb tenderloins once and they were delicious, but I'm a vegetarian for compassionate reasons.'
She says she understands that he must restrict his diet for health reasons, and feels lucky that she can eat anything.
However, some people are less understanding about Mr Nance's habits. The former electrician says that his family think he's 'lost it' and at the 'deep end of insane'.
'Eating raw meat is just something they can't accept. My father has a master's in biology and he tells me that if I eat raw meat I'll get some sort of pathogen.'
During family visits his diet is not mentioned and they tend to avoid getting together around the dinner table.

Food for the week: Mr Nance will buy a whole animal, before butchering it and leaving it in his fridge

Quick refreshment: Mr Nance has a quick swig of lamb's blood - which he says is a great source of vitamin C


Mr Nance's favorite meat is lamb because he can usually get it at a good price and it's easier to slaughter – cows take up too much room in his car.
To prepare the animal he butchers it in his basement and stores the remains in his fridge. Nothing goes to waste and he says organs and clotted blood are a good source of vitamin C.
He concludes: 'Half of my problem with my digestion was actually just lack of enzymes. My body just doesn't produce enough enzymes to digest starchy foods.'

With a perfect copy of the New Moon film poster emblazoned across her back, portraits of Edward Cullen on both ribs and the Cullen crest splashed across her breastbone, describing Cathy Ward, 52, as a Twilight fan is a bit of an understatement.
But there's more to the Twihard's tattoos than a penchant for Robert Pattison, although the self-confessed member of Team Edward admits that it does play a part.
For Cathy, her etchings are also an important reminder of how far she's come since Christmas 2009, when she weighed six stone more and was an unhappy size 24 - and a reward.




Yet trading comfort eating for Twilight tattoos hasn't come cheap, as she happily admits. So far, she has spent just under £8,500 on getting inked but expects to have spent £25,000 by the time her 'body suit' is complete.
'I've had about 91 hours of tattooing now and it's costing a small fortune,' explains Cathy, who works as a baker for the Morrisons supermarket chain in her hometown of Reading.
'I've forked out just under £8,500 and by the time I'm finished, when [my] body's completely covered, we're looking at between £17,000 and £25,000.'
Cathy's passion for ink began after a friend handed her a copy of the first Twilight book at the end of 2009.
Hooked, she quickly devoured the first novel and sped through the remaining three before buying the DVDs and soundtracks of the accompanying films.
Her first tattoo, an elaborate recreation of the film poster for New Moon, followed with more etchings added two weeks later.
'We've got the book covers, we've got the ribbon, we've got the family crest, we've got the hairpiece, we've got the chessboard from Breaking Dawn, we've got the wolf tribal symbol,' she reveals.
'I've had five wolves done and one of the last things Jacob says to [Bella] when he realises he's lost her. He said: "It would be as easy as breathing with me".'
But despite her love for the Wolf Pack - the subject of an inking currently underway on her left leg - it's Edward, played in the films by Robert Pattinson, who interests her the most.
'Obviously, I'm Team Edward so most of my tattoos are of Edward,' she explains. 'I'm definitely a Robert Pattinson fan.

'It's because he's not classically good looking - he's different,' she adds. 'I'm not what I'd call good looking, I'm average and he's similar. Plenty of other guys in the film are better looking but he's striking in different way.'
Since discovering Twilight, Cathy has lost an incredible six stone and says that having the tattoos is a permanent reminder of just how far she's come since 1999 when the shock of losing her mother resulted in an unhealthy obsession with food.
'That's when I started going really hell for leather doing what I wanted and abusing my body,' remembers Cathy.
'I was sitting down, overeating, just vegetating all the time. I was ashamed of myself and what I looked like.
'When my friend gave me the first book and I got well and truly hooked on it, it kind of focused me. Of course, then I got the music, the soundtracks to all of the movies, so I got them out, I'd exercise to them and I'd be watching a DVD and I'd just be exercising in front of them.
'And then I'd get another tattoo and it'd just give me something to focus on. I've lost six stone and that's what did it.
'It's a permanent reminder and a reward to me for getting my life back on track to what it should be.'



But not everyone is as supportive of Cathy's decision to get inked. Although her husband Colin, to whom she's been married for 21 years, tolerates her tattoos, not everyone in her family agrees.
'My father, at first he was very resistant,' she says. 'He wouldn't be seen out with me. My brother, I haven't spoken to in five years. He's quite embarrassed by me.
'My sisters... they're just quite glad to see me come out of my shell and be who I should be. I used to be very quiet, sort of hide in the background, be a bit of a wallflower.'
She certainly isn't anymore and revels in the stir she caused when she was invited onto the red carpet at the Breaking Dawn part one premiere in 2011.
'I got sent tickets to the premiere, which was brilliant although security wouldn't let me near the main characters,' remembers Cathy with a chuckle.

'But the fans reaction was brilliant - it was an hour and a half of mayhem because they all wanted pictures with me.'
Her tattoos also got her the attention of Taylor Lautner, the 21-year-old American who plays Jacob, who, to her delight, even mentioned her in an interview.
'Taylor Lautner and Rob [Pattinson] were on This Morning when Breaking Dawn came out and he [Lautner] commented on my tattoos,' adds Cathy.
And Lautner isn't alone in his appreciation of Cathy's tattoo tribute. At a convention last year, she met MyAnna Buring who plays Tanya, a member of the Denali coven who come to the Cullen's aid during a confrontation with the Volturi.
'I've not met any of the main characters,' explains Cathy, 'but I have met Tanya (Buring), Seth (Booboo Stewart) and the guy who plays Jared (Bronson Pelletier).
'It was at a convention last year and they all said it was brilliant artwork but to meet one of the main [characters] would have been great.'
For now, Cathy is focusing on finishing a tattoo of the Wolf Pack on her left leg and, once it's done, plans to have another of the Volturi inked on her right.
Does she have any plans to stop? Unsurprisingly, the answer is no. 'The way I look at it, I've still got two to three years work to go and you need to do maintenance,' she explains. 'There's always going to be things that need touching up or recolouring.
'I stand out, I don't care that I stand out,' she adds. 'This is me, this is what I like, this is what does it for me. It keeps me feeling young.
'It's keeping me permanently broke but no matter what the cost, I am not stopping!

A two-year-old boy from Huaxi, has undergone an operation to give 'birth' after doctors diagnosed him as 'pregnant'.
Xiao Feng, was brought to hospital after his stomach had become so distended that he had begun to suffer breathing difficulties.
Once admitted, doctors took x-rays and MRI scans and discovered that Feng was carrying the undeveloped foteus of his own twin inside his stomach and they rushed him to surgery.
The parasitic twin would have developed into a boy and had grown so large that almost 2/3rds of his affected twin's stomach was taken up. 
Identical twins form when an egg splits in half after fertilization.
But conjoined twins or foetus-in-foetu siblings occur when the egg fails to fully separate.
Dr Jonathan Fanaroff, a neonatologist at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, said some conjoined twins can survive as 'parasites', but not when one twin absorbs the other.

"Why i went to Synagogue Church" - Jim Iyke Reveals..! (MUST READ)

With the news of the dramatic encounter of Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, at the Synagogue Church, still going viral, many have been wondering if the mission of the thespian, last Sunday was a conscious effort by him to find a wife.
Reports on the actor's visit to the church indicated that he was being delivered of a negative spirit that has prevented him from getting married.
But recent finding by The Nation revealed that Jim Iyke  accompanied a friend, whose mother was seriously ill to the church where he was caught in the web of what was said to be a rescue exercise.
Jim's friend's mother is said to be on admission at a hospital, in Ajao Estate, from where she was taken to the church, but perhaps due to the popularity of the actor, the church ministers went for him, claiming there was more to his not being married than meets the eye.
A two-minute video on the church's website shows the actor struggling with several officers of Pastor TB Joshua, the head of the church, as they fought to keep him still.
The session, as shown in the video got the thespian sprawling on the floor, after falling several times, and shouting incoherent words.
"What do you guys want from me," asked the actor, apparently recovering from frenzy. "Take it easy, the man of God will like to see you after the service," replied one of the church ministers, as they led the actor away from the middle of the congregation, looking bewildered.
Reports say the sick woman's son was also attended to during the church service, but the woman, who was the real reason Jim and his friend went to the church was told to come back at a later date. The woman, whom we learnt was brought to Lagos from Abuja in search of solution to her health problem, had since been taken back to the Ajao Estate hospital where she is waiting for another appointment from the church.

Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja,  have arrested three suspected  members of a  robbery gang who robbed popular Fuji star, Pasumu Wonder,  of his Range Rover Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, and an unspecified amount of  money, four months ago in Lagos.
Suspected leader of the gang simply identified as  Ade, reportedly bought a Toyota Camry saloon car, with his own share of the loot.Pasuma, had  reported in May 2013, that he was robbed of his SUV and an undisclosed  sum    at gun point at Amadiyah area of Egbeda. Aside robbing the musician said to be on his way to a function, the gunmen also abducted him and one of his aides, drove a distance  before dropping them off at Itele, a boarder town in Ogun State.
The suspects  identified as Fatai Balogun, Wale Akinjobi and Gbenga Kolawole during interrogation, confessed to have come all the way from Ogun state to operate.
A source, who craved anonymity  told Crime Alert that the police launched a manhunt for the gang after  Pasuma's encounter, during which  they were  intercepted.
The gang, as gathered, also attacked a wealthy man in Iju Ishaga area of Lagos,where they robbed him of N500,000, his mobile phones and other valuables. After the operation, one of them, Wale who resides around the area reportedly dug a hole at the back of his compound where he buried his weapon.
But unknown to him, a resident said to have sighted him,  alerted the police who quickly arrested him and transferred him to the SARS.During interrogation, Wale reportedly confessed that his gang robbed Pasuma. His confessional statement, as gathered, led to the arrest of other suspected members.
Fatai Balogun, told  Crime Alert that leader of the gang, Ade, got the highest share from Pasuma's loot.  "He was the one who searched Pasuma and collected money from him. But  nobody knew the amount he got. Few days later, he bought a Toyota Camry car with the loot but gave us  peanuts.   I have gone on several operations with Ade. One of them was at Ajah area where we snatched a car at gun point along Epe road. We did that operation with Ade's car but we had a little problem on the road after Ade ran into a ditch. We had to  abandon the car when policemen came looking for us but Ade later sent a towing vehicle to retrieve the car.
Wale  brought the job that landed  me in trouble. He told me  there was a  rich man who lives in his area, that  he would want me to follow him execute the job because he does not have the expertise to do it. I accepted because the job was an easy one, as there won't  be much huddles  getting inside. We were three in number that went for the operation.
I took N120,000 and gave Wale and Gbenga their  share. I sold the laptops  we took from the man for N40,000 each and at the end, I relocated to my base in Abeokuta, Ogun State.  I don't know how Wale mishandled  the gun he used for the operation, which led to his being sighted by one of his neighbors,"he stated.
