| SAD NEWS!! Businessman murdered for refusing to settle Area Boys!! Posted: 16 Oct 2013 10:04 AM PDT  A businessman, Charles Ugwu, has been killed in the Ajegunle area of Lagos, over his refusal to settle some street urchins, popularly known as area boys. The incident was said to have occurred at Uzor Street, Ajegunle, on September 24 2013. A tyre dealer, Ugwu was said to have been accosted by two area boys, identified as Saturday and Chimezie, while offloading goods from a vehicle to his shop. The deceased's wife, Stella, who claimed to have witnessed the incident, told PUNCH Metro that her husband had resisted the thugs' efforts to extort money from him resulting in the assault on her husband. She said, "Around 9pm on that day, two young men, known as Saturday and Chimezie, accosted us saying they would not allow us to continue working until we settle them. "We asked them why we should pay them because the goods had nothing to do with the hoodlums. Saturday was "annoyed; he walked away only to return with stones, which he threw at us. When my husband cautioned him to stop causing trouble, Saturday picked up a "stick and struck Ugwu on the neck." Ugwu was said to have fallen to the ground while all efforts to revive him failed. We learnt that immediately after Ugwu was killed, the Divisional Police Officer of Ajegunle Police Station, Mr. Abayomi Agbana, was contacted. Agbana was said to have dispatched policemen to the area and the two suspects were arrested. The bereaved wife lamented the hardship that had been brought on the family due to her husband's death. She said, "Who will train my children for me? Ugwu was a good father and husband; he was much too young to die. We loved each other so much. How can my three children be fatherless at these ages? Our first is just 15 years old. The second is 12 years and the last child is nine. These hoodlums have wiped out the joy of my life." In his statement at the police station, Saturday claimed that he actually demanded money from the businessman but had nothing to do with his death. He said while demanding money from Ugwu, Stella told her husband not to part with any money. Saturday claimed that at that instant, Stella held his singlet. He alleged that Chimezie and the deceased were trying to appeal to Stella to let go of the suspect when the businessman suddenly collapsed. He insisted that neither him nor his accomplice had fought Ugwu. Chimezie was also said to have alleged, in his statement, that he was trying to appeal to Stella when her husband suddenly collapsed. He claimed that no form of violence had been used on the deceased. We also gathered that the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, Lagos, for further investigation. The victim's younger brother, Francis, said the family was ready to bury the corpse but police had yet to release the body. He said, "The police have insisted that the autopsy report must be done before the body would be released." Detectives at the SCID have however blamed the ongoing doctors' strike for the delay. A detective, who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity on Tuesday, said, "Many bereaved families have been complaining since the doctors strike started. This is because they want to bury their loved ones but cannot take away their corpses because autopsy reports have not been done. The situation is worrisome and embarrassing in some cases." The Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Ngozi Braide, said she would call back when contacted for information on the case. She had yet to do so as of 8pm. |
| UNBELIEVABLE!! Anambra deportees sue Lagos Govt N1billion!! Posted: 16 Oct 2013 10:04 AM PDT The 76 destitute who were deported a few months ago to Onitsha, Anambra state, by the Lagos State government have dragged the state government to a federal High Court, demanding N1 billion in compensation for the violation of their rights. They are also asking for a written apology to be published in Thisday, Vanguard and The Sun Newspapers continuously for 30 days. The deportees claimed they were arrested and detained for several months by the state government without being charged with any offense only to be deported to Anambra state and taken away from their families. Now they are asking a federal high court to order the Lagos state govt to compensate them and stop the government from further deporting them and accommodate them in Lagos The suit was filed by seven of the deportees on behalf of themselves and 69 others. Hearing on the suit has been set for next year January 29, 2014. |

| SHOCKER!! Hong Kong Reports Mainland Chinese are Eating Infants!! Posted: 16 Oct 2013 06:48 AM PDT  The Next Magazine, a weekly publication from Hong Kong, reported that infant corpses and fetuses have become the newest supplements for health and beauty in China. Not only is the placenta considered a beauty remedy, but also aborted fetuses are much sought after delicacies. In Guangdong, gourmet body parts are in high demand and can even be purchased through hospitals. The magazine's investigations into this form of cannibalism took them to Liaoning province. According to The Next Magazine, during a banquet hosted by a Taiwanese businessman, a servant Ms Liu from Liaoning province on the mainland inadvertently revealed the habit of eating infants/fetuses in Liaoning province and her intention to return for the supplement due to health concerns. The Taiwanese women present were horrified.  At the The Next Magazine's request, Ms Liu personally escorted the reporter to a location where a fetus was being prepared. The reporter observed a woman chopping up a male fetus and making soup from the placenta. During the process, the woman even tried to comfort everyone by saying, "Don't be afraid, this is just the flesh of a higher animal." The boy's remains were cremated in the mountains in accordance with the customs of the region. In fact, in China, reports about meals made from infant flesh have surfaced from time to time. A video is on the Internet for people to view. In the introduction, the Chinese claim that eating a human fetus is an art form. On March 22, 2003, police in Bingyan, Guangxi Province seized 28 female babies smuggled in a truck from Yulin, Guangxi Province going to Houzhou in Anhui Province. The oldest baby was only three months old. The babies were packed three or four to a bag and many of them were near death—none were claimed by their parents.  On the morning of October 9, 2004, a person rifling through the garbage on the outskirts of Jiuquan city in the Suzhou region, found dismembered babies in a dumpster. There were two heads, two torsos, four arms, and six legs. According to the investigation, these corpses were no more than a week old and they had been dismembered after cooking. Although China has laws that prohibit the eating of human fetus, the regime's forced abortions to ensure the one child policy is strictly adhered to thereby creating many opportunities for these sorts of atrocities to occur.  What would make people do such a thing without any fear of condemnation? Since Mao's Cultural Revolution, a complete lack of morality and respect for human life has become the norm in China. Over time, domination by the Chinese Communist regime has led to inhuman behavior and human rights violations resulting in abnormal practices such as cannibalism. |
| Posted: 16 Oct 2013 06:24 AM PDT  SaharaReporters has obtained documents further exposing the depth of corruption and mismanagement of public funds at Nigeria's Ministry of Aviation headed by Stella Oduah. One of the documents details how Ms. Oduah compelled the cash-strapped Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to purchase two armored BMW cars for the minister. NCAA is the agency charged with ensuring the airworthiness of commercial planes flying within Nigeria's airspace. Two officials of the agency told SaharaReporters that the NCAA did not have enough funds to upgrade equipment, send staff for critical training, and hire enough qualified staff. "Yet, all the minister is concerned about is to have two exotic BMW cars from the little money we have for operations," one of the sources said. The documents obtained by SaharaReporters indicate that the transaction for the purchase of the two BMW vehicles started in June 2013. However, the request for delivery of and payment for the two vehicles was fast-tracked between August 13 and 15 2013. The transaction involved the NCAA, First Bank of Nigeria, and Coscharis Motors Limited. In a letter dated August 13, 2013, J.D Nkemakolam of the NCAA sent a letter to the Managing Director of Coscharis Motors asking the company to deliver to the NCAA two BMW 760 armored vehicles based on a pro-forma invoice dated June 25, 2013 at the cost of N127, 575,000 ($796,846.21) each. The total amount for the two vehicles came to N255,150,000, or $1,593,687.31. The NCAA's letter directed Coscharis Motors to deliver the vehicles with sales invoices, delivery notes, and attestation documents. Our documents reveal that the payment for the vehicles was made into a First Bank of Nigeria account (number 2018912995 with sort code: 0111152303), according to a letter signed by Godwin Umeaka, Coscharis' group financial controller. The two black BMW Li HSS vehicles had chases numbers WBAHP41050DW68032 and WBAHP41010DW68044 respectively. The two cars were delivered to the NCAA on August 13, 2013, where it was received by two store managers, F. Onoabhagbe and Y.A. Amzat (who is also the agency's head of transport). On August 15, 2013, Sola Ogunsakin of the NCAA signed off to certify completion of the transaction. In an extensive investigation of the Aviation sector after three air mishaps in Nigeria's airspace, SaharaReporters found a pattern of questionable expenditures authorized by the minister. Several insiders within the aviation industry have told SaharaReporters that Ms. Oduah and President Goodluck Jonathan had focused on the Aviation Ministry as a source for a series of corrupt activities. "Under Mrs. Oduah, the ministry has carried out many big capital development projects. But what outsiders don't know is that these projects are being used to divert big amounts into private pockets," an aviation source said. Our sources disclosed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had investigated several corrupt practices in the aviation sector, but added that the anti-corruption agency never had the backbone to act on their findings due to political pressure from the Presidency. Several sources at the agency told SaharaReporters that they were not aware of the whereabouts of the two BMW cars. Some of the sources stated that the cars were handed to the minister who had converted them to private use. Several interest groups have been demanding the removal of Ms. Oduah, citing her corrupt tendencies, mismanagement of aviation funds and incompetence. Under her watch, the Nigerian airspace has witnessed several air mishaps that claimed the lives of at least 140 people. A Presidency source told SaharaReporters that Ms. Oduah still retains the confidence of President Jonathan. She is a close associate of Mr. Jonathan, serving as the treasurer who handled funds for the Jonathan campaign during the 2011 presidential election.
