This is a very enlightening article by MPN reader Raj Eteng. Many ladies can relate to this.I can relate to this(In the past)Enjoy and feel free to share your thoughts..she just started writing and needs encouragement ..just like y'all encourage me

Have you ever wondered why his impression of you or his comments about you have the most effect on you? Or how the whole world tells you your lovely but the instant he says you're not lovely you cringe into this dark hole of insecurity and nothing else matters…not even a truckload of compliments from every other person? That, my dear, is because for some strange reason you see yourself through his eyes only and you let him define your personality.


Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against criticisms in relationships. If for anything at all, I think it's a major part of any union. But lets face it, there's a fine line between destructive criticism and constructive criticism. In any union, I am of the opinion that its either constructive or nothing at all. 
It is very disturbing that most girls don't know when to draw the line in their relationships. Sucking up to a guy and his not-so-pleasant ways may have its upsides, when he crosses the line, you need to set the record straight. You may be his girlfriend, but you are ultimately YOU and you define yourself.
An emotional bully may start of as your type of guy, sweet, caring , very articulate and fun to be with. Frankly, no one would blame any girl for falling for such qualities. But then, very slowly, he starts drifting more and more into his ugly persona. At that stage of the relationship when you have become really attached to him, he psychologically gets a grip of your  mentality. 
He conveniently makes you believe what he wants you to in very silent and usually untraceable ways.  He constantly preys on your imperfections and vulnerabilities, makes you believe that your never going to be good enough, creates the mindset that he is doing you a favour by dating you and thus the reason why you must remain by his side no matter what he does to you (afterall, no one else wants you).

I don't understand how ladies endure through this bitterness for even longer than 5 months (after he stops being sweet ofcourse). I mean, how long does it take to realize that for each minute you spend with him, several ounces of your self esteem find a way to escape from you right into his egotistical being? While your confidence levels depreciates, his appreciates because he clearly feeds off you.
In my opinion, whether or not he gets physical with you, that's more than enough bullshit that a lady should take.  Forget about your fears, if a man aint doing you right, then it aint right…and you definitely want what is right. Give up trying to change him because in reality, the only person you can change is you.
So, if he hasn't put a ring on it, then my dear single ladies, it is definitely time to WALK. Making a mistake isn't the mistake, choosing to remain in your mistake, is the mistake.

Killer of 10yr old Damilola Taylor mocks him 13yrs later with a handwritten paper message

The killer who stabbed 10-year-old schoolboy Damilola Taylor to death in a crime that horrified Britain today mocked his victim with a tawdry sign calling for 'real justice' as he left court.
In a revolting display of arrogance or ignorance, Ricky Preddie gestured at the handwritten message after appearing before magistrates in west London on driving charges.
The 26-year-old had not even managed to spell the child's name right. Instead the sign read 'Real justice for Damiola Taylor'.


Preddie, from Sydenham, south east London,was jailed for eight years in 2006 along with his brother Danny for manslaughter after fatally stabbing 10-year-old Damilola in the leg with a broken bottle.
Ricky was first released from prison on parole in 2010 - but he was sent back to jail three times after breaking the terms of his release. His brother Danny was released from prison in 2011.
Their victim Damilola Taylor was left to bleed to death in a stairwell in Peckham, south-east London, after being attacked in November 2000 on his way home from the library.
The schoolboy was caught on CCTV just minutes before he was attacked walking home.
His family had moved to London from Nigeria in search of a better life just months before the fatal attack.
Eight years later, Damilola's mother Gloria Taylor, 57, died from a heart attack after suffering from high blood pressure following her son's death.
The mother, who dedicated her life after her son's death to helping underprivileged children, collapsed while walking near her home in Blackheath, South East London.
Today, almost 13 years after the killing, Ricky Preddie appeared before Hammersmith Magistrates' Court charged with a string of driving offences plus a separate matter of trespassing on railway property. 
He denied all nine charges. He was was arrested in August - just three months after being released from jail for the last time after serving out his sentence for killing Damilola.
Wearing a plaster on the left side of his head after having his ear hacked off in a prison fight, Preddie spoke in court only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
He is due to stand trial on December

"Yesterday was The 53rd Anniversary of Nigeria's 'Independence', I refused to comment or send messages for reasons u and I know. If u are reading this message, u are lucky to be alive. Thank God. I'm fed up with all the noise about my Actor colleague who gained Independence from 'demonic influence ' or 'Deliverance' at Synagogue. I respect him for seeking spiritual help when others are shying away from the reality of their situation. 


Even those who are 'Demons' themselves are throwing insults at Jim. Our level of hypocrisy in Nigeria is nauseating. Established 'Sinners' find it convenient to throw stones at those whose stories become public, making it more difficult for people to seek help.
If you have never presented yourself for 'Deliverance' keep quiet because ur not sure of what forces are speaking through you. Congrats Jim for being 'man enough'......

People think that things are always rosy for actors.  They think it's always all about glamour but the truth is we have all had our ugly experiences.
I have gone through a lot in the past and that is what has made me the Benson Okonkwo many love and respect today in the industry. I was sexually abused at the tender age of 10 by my 35 year old neighbor simply called Aunty Amaka, a lady who I love and respect.
She took advantage of me on that fateful afternoon after luring me with sweets and biscuits. She stole my innocence and ever since then I have been haunted by that hurtful memory. That's why I put passion into my acting career because its takes away my pain''I kept it away from my parents, but I told our gateman, who did not tell my parents too.I grew up with the shock and it still disturbs me till today.
I really wish parents would be more careful with who they leave their kids with.
