Dead man wakes up after 3 days in Kano state Mortuary: Tells his story(Photo)

Posted: 18 Aug 2013 12:57 AM PDT

Hmmmn I speechless...Miracles like this happen once in a life time. A Retired soldier, Kayode Sotunde, 49 told his story of how he undertook a journey from Gboko to Kano on April 11, this year when the commercial bus he was in crashed ,claiming him and 17 others.

However, he wokeup three days after in the mortuary, where his body and others were deposited for their families to claim for burial.According to Sotunde,  his corpse was taken out of the mortuary and was being prepared for burial when he suddenly woke up.

Read his experience as narrated to Sunday Sun in Abeokuta, Ogun State

Journey from Gboko to mortuary

On that fateful day, that was April 11, 2013, I was travelling from Gboko to Kano to see my younger brother, Jide Sotunde,  a soldier serving in Kano. We had agreed on the journey which we had thought would afford us to discuss important issues, including the possibilities of getting another job that would not be too far from where I had my wife.
I retired from the Nigerian Army, (Supply and Transport), Apapa Lagos where I served for 30 years, during which I also participated in many peace keeping force assignments outside Nigeria.
After retirement, I got a job as a security guard at the Dangote Cement, Gboko, Benue State from where I also resigned because of the distance of my workplace and where my family was based in Osogbo.
The ill-fated vehicle was an 18-seater passenger bus, which I boarded in Gboko en-route Kano. We were barely two hours into the journey when a passenger asked us to pray. Since it was a normal thing for a passenger to offer to pray on such a long journey, I did not heed his call.  I was just playing with my mobile phone set.
Aside from that, I didn't believe in the prayer since I didn't know anything about Jesus Christ. I was a freethinker who neither went to church nor worshipped any idol. We were making progress on the journey when suddenly there was a bang. That was all I could recollect about the journey until I woke up three days after in the mortuary of the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Kano where I was told that I died in an accident and my corpse along with other 17 passengers were deposited there.
Even though the hospital authorities told me that I was in their morgue for three days as a dead man, I actually spent more days there before I could regain my senses.
I was to be buried in Kano
I was told that before I returned from the land of the dead, my family had instructed my younger brother who I was visiting in Kano before the accident to bury me in Kano since they could not afford the N150,000, which was said to have been requested by transporters to take my corpse from Kano to Abeokuta.  My elder sister, Moradeke Sotunde played a prominent role in this regard.
I was also told that it was at the point that my corpse was being prepared for interment that suddenly I returned to the land of the living after my corpse was taken out of the mortuary for prayers by Islamic clerics who were said to have sprinkled water on my corpse preparatory to my burial. I was also told that my hair was also shaved as demanded by the clerics.
I was told that my corpse was taken out of the mortuary after they had dug my grave and organised some clerics to offer the funeral prayers.
They wanted to bury me  in Kano because my family members couldn't afford N150,000 demanded for carrying my corpse to Abeokuta for burial.  The initial plan was to move my corpse back home to Abeokuta, where a grave had been dug but for the transportation cost.
Life in the land of the dead
My brother, truly, there is life after death. I can also tell you that there is a living God. You may not believe me, but I am a living witness to this. I may not be able to describe Heaven or Hell, but there is another life after this one that we are living.
This place I am talking about is full of snow. I may not have been to America, but I have heard about snow. Where we were was full of snow, with plenty of something that I can describe as alum stones; whitish in colour with something I can describe as granite in this physical world.  In spite of the terrible cold, there was no day that we felt cold and it was never harmful to us.
All of us were there without knowing whether we are male or female. We couldn't see our eyes, mouth and nose. We had no leg; we had no arm, but we floated in the air without our bodies touching the ground. We were flying around what I will describe as another planet.
On the third day of my arrival on the strange planet, they gave me a message that we were expecting one big prophet.
After the message was delivered,  they nominated ushers  among us to welcome the prophet.  And seconds later, people started trooping in, jubilating as if a goal was just scored in a football match.
On that planet, there were many stars which were not stable in one place, like we have in the sky in this world. I noticed that on a daily basis, people kept on increasing, even though we don't know from where they came.
I was in this mood until they (I don't know them) told me that I should go back home to work for the Lord. According to them, there were many people in the world who are not only in bondage, but are also afflicted with human pains. They also instructed that I should work for the Lord and heel people. I was even arguing, putting up some resistance that I could not do it. This was the condition I found myself until I opened my eyes and saw Jide, my younger  brother in this part of the world again.
In God's vineyard
Since the Lord has directed me to work for Him, I will surely do so because 'to be forewarned, is to be forearmed.' It was because of this that I went to do my thanksgiving service at the Mountain of Fire and Miracle, in Lagos with the General Overseer, Pastor Olukoya.
The Lord has started performing miracles in other people's lives through me. I don't want to sound boastful, but God has started using me. I do pray for people now and they usually return to tell me that their problems have been solved. It is the Lord's doing.
I have already prayed for a woman who has married been for 14 years without a child that God will give her the fruit of the womb. The person who lives in Ikorodu spoke to me through the telephone and I believe Lord will answer her prayers and request. I have accepted to work in God's vineyard till I return to Him.

Day I returned to Abeokuta

I caused a stir in this area when I returned alive to Abeokuta because people including my family members, except my brother who was with me when I rose from the dead, did not know I had risen from the dead.
On arrival in Abeokuta, we played pranks on my people as they did not know that I was returning to home alive that day.
When we got nearer home, the person that accompanied me decided to call Kemi, my mother's last born that we were already in Abeokuta.  When my sister saw me, she fainted and was later revived.  She was shivering when she woke up.
We later told her to return home to tell others that I had risen from the dead. On my way, I saw people mourning me, wearing black attire.
I trekked a distance of about 800 metres to my father's house.  There, a grave had also been dug beside my late father's before the family decided to bury my corpse in Kano. I waved as people were expressing shock and disbelief at seeing me alive. When I attempted to move closer to a woman in her shop, she ran away, thinking I was a ghost and pleading that she had no hands in my death. My sister, Moradeke who lives in Lagos was also wearing a black attire, mourning along with others until I returned home.
I returned to Abeokuta on the very day I was to be buried. I even met many of the mourners, wearing black (including my sisters) who had gathered in my father's house here, (Sabo Abeokuta).
There was also a particular woman who threw away the beans meal she was eating and ran away from her shop when she sighted me.
I kept on saying that I was not dead, but she found it difficult to believe me.
Health challenges

Although I have returned from the land of the dead, I have not fully regained my health as I am talking to you. I have both chest and body pains. In fact, medically speaking, I am not alright.  I usually run strange temperature.  That was why I visited the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba for medical treatment.  I vomit blood each time I cough. I can't engage in any hard labour.

Besides, a lot of strange things have started happening to me.  Sometimes, I feel as if I am still in the mortuary.  I will be seeing a lot of heads. My sight is not normal, it sometimes fails me. I have also started giving messages to people about things that they don't know about their family.

I started revealing to them what had happened in the past to their astonishment. This has made many people to run away from me with some describing me as a demon. To be sure that I am not a ghost, I tried to relate with my friends as well as eat with them. Despite this a few of my friends still avoid to shake hands with me, thinking that I am a ghost.

I am homeless
You ask where I live? To answer straight, I am homeless, because I am currently squatting with my younger sister, causing her and her family inconveniences.  Even though she is not complaining, I know that I am inconveniencing  her.
I have been given quit notice in Osogbo after my landlord heard of the incident. According to him, he could not live with Akudaaya (ghost). I stayed at No 1, Rasco Hall, Oke Fia, Osun State, Osogbo, It was the ejection that informed my living with my sister here (Abeokuta).
I need serious financial assistance from well-meaning Nigerians to take care of my health and sustenance.  Survival is difficult for me.  That is why I appeal to Nigerians to come to my aid. I want to stop being a burden to my sister and her nuclear family. I want individuals as well as corporate bodies and churches to help me financially. God will surely replenish their purses in abundance in Jesus name.
I had a broken home some years back and I remarried two years ago, but when the incident happened, the woman abandoned me and ran away from Osogbo.
I want to appeal to Nigerians and other people that there is God. I want them to believe that there is life after death; so we should do good to our fellow beings. Heaven and Hell are real.  Where we want to go is an option for us to decide. I want people to know that it is just a matter of seconds between life and death.

Channels TV thought they would destroy my destiny,it backfired on them-NSCDC’s Shem “Oga at the top” Obafaiye

Posted: 17 Aug 2013 11:32 PM PDT

I love this interview conducted with former Lagos State NSCDC commandant, Shem  Obafaiye(Oga at the Top). For the first time since the famed interview, he tells us how he really felt and why he emerged victorious at the end.Culled from theheraldng.com

What is your opinion about the Channels Television interview that brought you instant fame?
I have nothing much to say other than to bless God for everything. I thank God for all that happened; I thank God for my boss, his support and love. He is a good boss and I appreciate him. As far as I am concerned all things work well for those who love God and in all things, the Bible says we should praise God.
The people that thought they were going to ruin me did not know that they would end up in announcing my destiny. In the history of humanity, there had never been any human being that had instant fame like I did especially in a case that was meant to end negatively.

My brother-in-law in London is even so excited about the incident that he promised to assist me make big money out of this supposed mess. He had already handed the matter to an agency over there to trade mark "Oga at the Top." But I just asked him to forget it. There is no need for that.
Many of my class mates are in top positions in Nigeria currently, yet, they said I did not go to school. I can mention a lot of them here, including the Attorney General in Lagos State, Ipaye.
But why should I do all that. All the same, I give all the praises to God. It was not the first interview I would be having with them (Channels Tv). After that interview we shook hands and I even gave them my complimentary card. I could see that they were not really cheerful. If there was any effect, it was on them and not me. It was the same day I met with Governor Fashola of Lagos State.
Theirs took place in the morning and I met Governor Fashola later in the day. Some people believed they were up to something, but I did not know. I was only being careful with words as a security officer. We apply caution in all that we say and do. It was a live programme, the whole world was watching us, so, I did not want to be too free.
But like I said, I thank God for everything. I blame nobody for anything; I see everything as an act of God. They believe they would use it to destroy my destiny but God turned everything around for me, for the better.
How did your family take the development?
The day of the interview, 16th of March, 2013, was the day my father was buried. It was as if it was designed to destablise me on the day of the burial of my father, but it was not so. It was three or four days after that they apologised and said it was not meant to embarrass me.
Channels felt bad because it backfired. Anybody that wants to go for an interview in Channels will be very skeptical now and henceforth. I just felt it was my time for divine announcement, so I did not take it the way they thought I would take it.
In fact, when I saw the T-shirt, I wanted to buy one. Some had thought that my transfer to Ibadan was a demotion, but they are wrong. It is not. They also claimed that my wife went to Channels over the issue. The question I asked was, to do what? She did not. The whole thing has only turned around to be God's glory in my life.
What is your philosophy of life and how did it apply in the case of "My Oga At The Top" case?
My philosophy of life is to impact positively on this generation. I want to leave a legacy, a good and worthwhile legacy behind that will not make my family live or walk in fear when I am gone. I want to sustain my good name; and that is what I preach to my staff every day.
I tell them to be open-minded; be determined; do what you will do with your best ability whether people are there or not. Note that there are people watching you and your work will speak for you when you are not there. This is what I always tell them.

Shocking-17 year old virgin beheaded in a farm in Aba

Posted: 17 Aug 2013 10:54 AM PDT

A 17-year-old secondary school virgin, Miss Chioma Emeka Ikwuagwu has been beheaded in Ukome, Ibeku, the home town of Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji,  in Unuahia North Local Government Area, while  she was fetching vegetable from her mother's farm land.

Chioma, a student of Girls' Secondary School, Umuahia, otherwise known as Holy Rosary secondary school, was sent by her mother to go to the farm and fetch vegetable, which the family would use for their evening meal when she was attacked and beheaded.
Her headless body was found at a spot, where her killers covered her with palm leaves and her head, which was completely severed from the body, was lying beside the body as her blood formed a pool on the leaves.
She was in SS3 and was living in Ukome, the home of his father's late maternal grandmother, when she was gruesomely beheaded by unknown assailants.
On examination of her body, it was found that no part of her organs was removed, rather her assailants had drawn her jeans trousers down to her laps, while she was still clutching her thighs with one hand, indicating where she probably received the first matchet cut before her attackers cut off her head.
Her father, Emeka Ikwuagwu said that on Friday, July 26, he went to harvest  corns from his farm, while his  wife, Akunna led some people to weed their other farm  in another location.
"When Chioma came to the farm to bring food to the mother and others who were working in the farm for the mother around 12.00pm, her mother requested her to go to another farm to collect some vegetables which the family will use for dinner in the evening. That was the last time I saw her alive, the next was her dead body with her head cut off by unknown persons, who still left the head beside the body", Ikwuagwu said.

When she was not seen as was supposed, the mother, went in search of her in the farm where she was sent to, only to discover traces of blood everywhere around  the farm  and rushed back to tell  her husband .

Saturday Sun also learnt that there were signs of struggle and dragging of her body from where she was killed and where her body was dropped and covered with palm fronds.

Ikwuagwu said further that they left the body at the spot where it was found till the next day being Saturday when the police removed it and took it to the City gate Mortuary in Umuahia, after it was rejected by the management of the  Federal Medical Centre mortuary for undisclosed reasons.
A source from the community told Saturday Sun that on hearing the news of the murder of Chioma, said to be very brilliant, the youths of Ukome launched a search into all the bushes and forests in the  area to look for the possible killer or killers of  the girl said to still be a virgin when she was killed.
However, their efforts yielded no fruit as no clue led to the traces of her killers who must have absconded to a far away place to hide from the law.

Speaking to Saturday Sun in his office at Bende Road Umuahia, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Tilli, who confirmed the incident, said immediately the matter was reported to the police, his men went to remove the corpse and deposited it at the mortuary. He added that the matter was, however, still being investigated.

The police boss, who ruled out ritual killing, said it could be as a result of land dispute, stating that no arrest has been made so far.

On the tension within the two communities over the dastardly act,  the police commissioner sued for peace and said that he has directed the DPO in charge of the area to invite leaders of the two communities for peaceful settlement.

Regina Askia denies penning down angry letter to Femi-F.Kayode

Posted: 17 Aug 2013 11:52 AM PDT

Contrary to wide-spread belief that Regina Askia penned down a bitter letter to Femi-Fani -Kayode regarding the controversial naming of Igbo ladies he had been intimate with, she has come-out to deny this on her facebook wall..but she still passes across some strong points
(Read her disclaimer below)
"May I seize this time to thank all my fans especially my Yoruba friends for their support through this very annoying ordeal. It's sad that some hungry blogger can up and publish anything and append anyone's name to it thinking they can remain faceless behind social media but thankfully through the same means and your vigorous support we were able to turn that around. I thank my reps for wise counsel and for swiftly identifying the faceless cowards even though these individuals proved to be of little consequence hence no wasting of resources in legal pursuit – at this time.

In the same spirit of love and cooperation, I would request that my generation of Nigerians wholeheartedly reject the notion of tribalism, xenophobia, hedonism and nepotism being displayed by our men and women in power. For how can we explain beggars and the destitute being deported from one part of their country to another as opposed to the government investing in better social services, how can we explain an individual having his home sealed for purportedly speaking up against an injustice, how can condemn a whole tribe of people because of injustices of years before most of us were born? Did you guys see the violence when a member of the house hit another on the head with a mace, did you hear the utterances of BokoHaram having enough fire power to on the US (Im sorry but I had to laugh at that one). We fought a bitter war in the late 60's the scars of which we all bear to date and these careless statements and attitudes will do nothing but eventually lead to another. It is time to call our leaders to order. We saw the genocide in Rwanda and the degeneration of the society of Congo. It would be real easy for the "Big Brother countries" of this world to come and help us get our house in order since we cannot do it by ourselves (soft invasion). We need to stop and refocus. Finally I always say you can tell who a person is just by listening to their utterances for out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaketh. I don't think its right that a mother would call another person's child, a bastard, nor should a woman call another a slut. Real gentlemen do not kiss and tell, a well-bred and cultured person has tact enough to tell you to go to hell and have you looking forward to that trip. Let us each be at this time the change we want to see. Till then I remain – The ultimate Sisi Eko (because Lagos is where I was born an partly raised) of a proud Akwa Ibom lineage, totally Nigerian to boot, living as a citizen of the world in the United States of America. Deal with it!!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!! One Love."

Read the letter which was claimed she wrote below
I've Just Been Told That Having Sex With An Igbo Woman Is A Great Accomplishment!!! After reading another hard-drug-influenced-essay by the Yoruba idiot parading himself as Femi Fani-Kayode,Ex-Minister of the Nigerian Federation, I felt there was no need to blame him for giving us another reason why his family members should as a matter of urgency, BUNDLE HIM BACK TO A REHAB! No!

I don't blame Femi Fani-Kayode for having a fun-filled day telling us how he 'breezed' through Bianca Onoh before our very revered Eze-Igbo married her… I blame Bianca Onoh , Chioma Anasoh & Adaobi Uchegbu for being naive or to have rather stooped so low to have intimate relationship with a Yoruba rascal/urchin/idiot whom i'm very sure was on heavy use of cocaine (and still is) at the time!

Were Bianca, Chioma & Adaobi blind to Femi's madness/drug-addiction or maybe he flashed his Ministerial/Ex-Ministerial portfolio to entice them? This is the first time a former public figure (I blame Former President Obasanjo for giving him that privilege) has preferred to reel out the names of women he had sex with, in a bid to show-off how he has been able to conquer tribalism in Nigeria or maybe trying to tell others he has been able to have sex with one of the prettiest ex beauty queens another tribe may boast of, like Bianca Ojukwu (Nee Onoh) of the Igbo tribe.

Some persons have advised that Femi Fani-Kayode should be ignored due to his MENTAL INSTABILITY but i say NO to it! I will not ignore him because when a mad-man chases one into his house & still want to exhibit that madness there, the owner of the house will definitely react except he doesn't value his house!

This has taken a tribal angle & its such a shame that many Yorubas have been applauding Fani-Kayode's spiteful comments against the Igbo. I may not want to generalize the behavioural disorders of even the average Yoruba, but i want to use this ample opportunity to remind our single Igbo sisters that if "He" is not Igbo, He can't be like an Igbo-man who won't be so ridiculous to think that giving us some of the names of our ladies he had sex with makes him a superman, as Femi Kayode must be 'thinking' in his fool's paradise.
Right now in Nigeria, the likes of a Yoruba bastard like Femi Fani-Kayode have proved that Igbo women should think "wisely" in making choices as regards whom they allow 'ACCESS' to their much fancied bodies. An Igboman would NEVER do what Femi Fani-Kayode did with the names of Bianca Ojukwu (Nee Onoh), PDP's Adaobi Uchegbu & the relatively unknown Chioma Anasoh or even women from other tribes. He typically exhibited behavioural disorder of the Yorubas, which is to them, a normal way of life. What a shame!
Bianca Ojukwu & the other two ladies should as a matter of urgency, reply Femi Fani-Kayode's show of lunacy, stupidity, foolishness, infantile reasoning & utter disrespect for them!

Femi Fani-Kayode consciously & gladly made a spiteful remark of Igbo women & our women should take the fight to him in a very deserving impudent manner! I am waiting for the responses by Bianca, Adaobi & Chioma.

By the way, I never knew men from other tribes take having sex with an Igbo lady as a great feat… Bianca & others should hold their heads high up.

We did it! Miss Petite Nigeria Blog clocks 2 years

Posted: 17 Aug 2013 08:10 AM PDT

Wow! I had planned to write a diary of how it all started,do a photoshoot and share the photos and all..but right now,I just want to bask in the euphoria of this moment.I can't believe its been 2 years since I picked up my Laptop and decided to blog.Leaving my Juicy job as a Lagos State Governor's correspondent and deciding to be independent, make my own rules and do this. It started like a joke,an avenue to relieve the pain of losing my dad and here I am still going strong, still receiving accolades, still getting so much love.
I recall when I told someone about the Nigerian Blog Awards, I said I wish I could someday be nominated. He said
" Forget it. Do you know how many blogs are out There. You have been blogging for one year and you think anyone has noticed you"? 2 months later, I recall I fainted ( not real faint sha . ). lol when I was told I bagged 4 nominations including Blog of the year.
I was shocked because just the year before that, I was voting for other blogs on that same platform, as a reader.
I eventually won 'best new Blog" and that changed a lot of things. The beautiful part is, I didn't see it coming.

I must say, as bloggers, not everyone would make money via blog adverts, there are a million other ways  if you are passionate about it ,and don't give up. All we need to do is look at the bigger picture and expand our horizons.
In Dec, i was recommended as the official scriptwriter for the Calabar Carnival, under the umbrella of Ebony Life TV. Guess what got me the job? All they did was open my blog and read one of my articles. No one asked for my Law degree certificate, Noone asked for my qualifications for a one month job worth hundreds of thousands.
Guess how I got my  current job as a Fashion Editor of recently launched Reloaded Magazine? My European Bosses, were in search of a high profile team all they did was go online and search for top bloggers. They found my blog amoung many others, and finally choose me for the job. I need not emphasize how lucrative it is for me to mention it here.

Do you know to get an ordinary job in Nigeria, you need to submit CV's upon CV's.. go for rounds of interviews .But I can state that, in the last 2 years, no one has asked for my CV. My blog has become my CV. Now, its become an obsession, something I'm so passionate about beyond the word itself. Its become a point of reference for me,its become a source of pride.I'm proud to say its a success story and success depends on your definition

Sometimes I wonder if all my years in the University and professional courses were really needed. Then I remember, Education is Key. It gives you an edge. But it doesn't guarantee success. Your zeal and push does. Most importantly, your relationship with God does.
I'm not in any way blowing my trumpet,I'm just trying to prove that the playing field is large enough for all of us. And if you don't see dividends yielding in the manner you thought it would, look deep and find other ways

I just want to say THANK YOU.If you are reading this now, THANK YOU.I don't care how you found yourself here, intentionally or by accident, I appreciate you.
I cherish each and everyone who drops comments too, who laughs at my naughtiness, praises my Blogger's diary and of course constructively criticizes me.
On my first Anniversary, I was so excited to know I had 308 thousand page views in one year, Now it's clocking 4 million. Thats a 90% rise...Looking back at this, and seeing how far I've come in another year,I cant help but say Thank you all for the encouragement.

To mark my 2nd year anniversary, an amazing gentleman built an ANDROID APP for Miss Petite Nigeria. For all those who use Android Phones, kindly stay updated by
Downloading the App and be the first to know when I post any story on this blog. You won't regret it. Would upload the banners soon. Search for this blog on Google Play or DOWNLOAD HERE (Thanks for your support)
