Photo: Meet the commercial driver wife who gave birth to a set of Quadruplets!!

A Lagos driver, Kehinde Tijani, and his wife Grace, were recently blessed with a set of quadruplets at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idi-Araba, Lagos, on October 1. They already have three sons before the new additions.
Ironically, what should bring joy is gradually becoming a source of worry for this couple, as Kehinde, a driver and Grace, a small-time caterer, were already living from hand to mouth before the four extra mouths put them at crossroads.
The family presently resides in a tiny, rented one-room apartment at Ajangbandi in Okokomaiko, Lagos.

They expressed gratitude to God for the gift of children, but are saddened and fearful of an uncertain future occasioned by poverty and hardship.
Kehinde, who hails from OyoState, said they need financial assistance to take care of his wife and children.

He said: "I need help. I am a driver. I started driving someone last year and my monthly salary is so meager I can hardly feed three children not to talk of seven.

"I need help please. I want the government and other people, who can, to come to my aid. I don't have money, I don't have a house. I need about N1 million to take care of the medical bills of the children and their mother.
"My wife had two Caesarian Sections and since the birth of the babies last week they have been in an incubator. Also, with the arrival of the quadruplets, we need better accommodation for the children."

Grace said: "When I discovered that I wasn't feeling too well, I went to a private hospital, where they asked me to undergo scan.


"After the scan, they told me that I had fibroid. Then I came to LUTH and after several tests and a scan, it was revealed that I was pregnant with five babies.
"On hearing the news, I got really scared and depressed because of our hard condition. Later, I had a partial miscarriage of one of the fetus because of the fear and depression.
"I have been in the hospital since July. That was three months before I delivered, because of my health conditions. All through this period, my husband had to struggle to make ends meet.
"Things have been difficult as he only earns N30,000 monthly, and we had three children before the arrival of these four."
Grace from Delta state, said she has no history of multiple birth in her family.
She said: "I have been married for 10 years now. It is only my husband who is a twin. How can I take care of four babies at the same time?
"Please help us. The babies, three girls and a boy, have been placed in the incubator.
"The first baby girl weighed about 1.65kg, the second girl, 1.50kg, third girl 1.6Kg. The only boy tipped the scales at 1.45kg."
At press time, the doctor that took the delivery was unavailable to speak on the babies chances of survival, but the spokesperson for LUTH, Mrs Hope Nwawolo, noted that the babies are in good health and medically stable.

If he was not on the Associated Aircraft which crashed last week, 3rd of October 2013, Ayodeji would have been 43 today. Born on the 9th of October, 1970, he died on the 3rd of October 2013, in the crash, just 6 days to his 43rd birthday. A candle light procession would be held for him this evening in Akure. Here is what his friends sent out;

There'll be a candle light procession today 9th of October 2013 @ 5:30pm in his honor, and in respect of his birthday, same day. Senator Smart Adeyemi, PDP, Kogi West, have said that the Associated Aircraft that carried the corpse of Late Agagu to Ekiti for burial and killed MIC Boss, Deji Falae and others was on test flight, based on what people told him during his investigations. The plane departed Lagos for Akure on test flight and was under repairs before then and was supposed to carry only engineers for the flight test and not passengers.

He said that the government, especially the Ministry of Aviation had tried on facilities at the nation's airport but that corruption was the main cause of the problems facing the sector. He insisted that it was pertinent to know the owner of the crashed airline and those managing it. The airports are good but have problems of technical regulators which he said was neck-deep in corruption.

Meanwhile the senate yesterday have summoned the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, Director-General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, and the Managing Director of Nigeria Airspace Management Agency, NAMA.

Angry Girl Slaps Boyfriend Severally On The Streets Says he Cheated On Her (Photos)

A Chinese woman has been arrested after forcing her boyfriend to kneel in the street and repeatedly slapping him around the face.

The man was accused of cheating on the woman after bringing another girl back to his flat in Hong Kong. After his girlfriend took him out to the street and began berating him, a crowd of onlookers gathered and started filming the scene, which has since been posted on YouTube.


The 20-year-old woman, named Cheng, was later arrested on suspicion of common assault, while the victim, 23-year-old Chui, was taken to hospital.

The alleged assault happened last Friday in the Kowloon City area of Hong Kong, after Chui took a girl to his flat despite the fact he was going out with Cheng.

She made him kneel on the pavement in full view of passers-by, and accused him of going behind her back by inviting in the other girl - who was standing next to the couple throughout the fight.
However, he insisted he had not asked the girl to come to his flat, saying: 'Listen to me first before beating me.'

Cheng then started slapping Chui across the face as he screamed, 'You're slandering me!', and urged the other girl to corroborate his story.

The scene was filmed by an onlooker, who commented at one point: 'At least break up with her if you're not fighting back.'

As other bystanders started to intervene in the altercation, Cheng shouted, 'None of your business!'

Most witnesses took Chui's side, with one woman telling him: 'Stand up, ditch this ugly girl, you deserve better.'

The Officials of the Ministry of the Environment shut down the Church in the morning of on October 6, 2013, and prevented the worshippers from having their Sunday service usually attended by thousands of faithful.
Investigations revealed that the Church does not have solid waste disposal facility. It burns its waste inside the Church premises, thereby exposing the lives of its worshippers to serious health hazard.
A substantial part of the sprawling Church lies on the Odo Asimawu Canal drainage channel, thereby impeding the flow of storm water.
The Church also built its toilets on the canal, thereby discharging all its human waste into the canal.
In order prevent an outbreak of epidemic, the state government had to seal the entire Church premises.
The government accused the Church of defacing and degrading the environment and refusing to abate the nuisance even after it had been served abatement notice to upgrade the environment.
Mr. Tunji Bello, the Commissioner for the Environment, said the Church had committed lots of environmental abuse which it must abate before the massive edifice could be re-opened by the government as such illegality could not be tolerated any longer.
According to him, the Church did not have proper waste management system, adding that it burnt its refuse inside the Church, an action which ran fowl of the environmental and sanitation law of the state.

"The Church does not have proper sanitary system and they discharge their wastes into the canal. Most of their members trade on the expressway and we don't want that," the Commissioner stated.

Mr. Bello added that the Church would only be re-opened if it constructed new toilets as well as bagged its solid waste as well as managed such waste properly, saying that the Church must build a sewage septic tank for the treatment of waste water. He also assured that the state government would not shirk its responsibility of protecting Lagos environment and ensure that its residents were protected from environmental abuse.
The Commissioner stated that the Church must also ensure that none of its members trade on the expressway, while the Church must remove illegal attachments built on drainage channel alignment in the area.
He said any structure to be erected by the Church must be about 50 metres away from the drainage channel and ensure that the environment was kept clean, after which the government would re-open the Church.
Reporters from P.M.NEWS visited the Church in the morning of October 8. They noticed many members of the Church who were working frantically to clean up their environment. Massive demolition of structures built on drainage alignment has also started.
It was not possible to get direct comments from Churches' officials as they were not authorized by the Pastor for giving interviews.
The Lord's Chosen is founded by Pastor Lazarus Muoka, who serves as the General Overseer of the Church.

The septuagenarian, late Nze Vitalis O.S Chikere died at the age of 85, was a retired superior police officer (retired 1984), a staunch Catholic and community leader in his native of Izuoha, Amuzi Mbaise, Imo state.
According to a release signed and made available by the family last weekend said his remains would be interred in his country home in Izuoha today, October 9, 2013 after a requiem mass at St. Jude's Catholic Pro-Cathedral Church, Amuzi Ahiazu Mbaise.
Survived by his wife, Lois, many children and grand-children. Amongst his children include: Mr. Donne Chikere; popular Nollywood movie director, T-Chidi Chikere; entertainment editor of Champion Newspapers, Uzo Chikere, and author cum banker, Mrs. Chinedu Stella Agu (wife of the Union publisher/CEO, Mr. Emma Agu).

Reports say, NEMA officials have begun evacuating occupants of the buildings.

Two multi-storey houses and property worth millions of naira razed on Tuesday night at Olodi Apapa in Lagos State after an explosion rocked a local petroleum depot.
We  learnt that the fire that broke out after the explosion consumed a three-storey building and another two-storey structure at Nos. 12 and 14, Edmor Street by Wilmer Crescent.
The National Emergency Management Agency confirmed the incident, saying occupants of the houses were safely evacuated without any record of injury.
It also said the fire had been contained.

Jonathan: I'll end strike
President Goodluck Jonathan promised yesterday to end the doctors' and university teachers' strike.
The teachers' is over 90 days. Members of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) are also on strike. The professionals are blaming the government for failing to meet up with the agreement reached with them.
Jonathan promised to end the strike when he received the leaders of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), led by its President, Dr. Osahon Enabulele.
Presidential spokesman Dr. Reuben Abati, in a statement on the meeting which reporters were prevented from covering, said the President promised to do his all to resolve all issues that caused disputes.
He said the government attached great importance to the medical and educational sectors.
He said: "I believe that we must manage both sectors in such a way that nobody engaged in them will think of going on strike again.
"We will continue to proactively evolve measures that will help us to permanently overcome the problems that lead to strikes by health and education professionals," he added.
To facilitate rapid establishment of more centres of medical excellence in the country, President Jonathan pledged that the Federal Government would fully explore the option of creating a special intervention fund.
According to him, the recommendation of a special fund that will give low interest loans for the establishment of state-of-the-art medical facilities is a creative idea that will receive appropriate consideration from the government.
He said: "We are committed to working with professionals and the private sector to establish better medical facilities in the country and reduce the number of Nigerians who have to go abroad annually for medical reasons."
Jonathan also assured the doctors that his administration would create the right conditions to enable doctors to stay at home and avail Nigerians of their acknowledged skills and expertise instead of migrating to other countries.
He said his administration was determined to correct the anomaly of Nigeria being so strong in human capacity in medicine, with about 25,000 Nigerian medical consultants currently practising in the United States , as confirmed to him by President Barack Obama; and yet being unable to treat many of its sick people in its own hospitals.
Jonathan said: "There is clearly a missing link somewhere and we will do everything possible to fix it. We will continue to work with professional bodies and all stakeholders to come up with more policies and actions that will help us overcome current challenges in our medical sector.
"We will work with the National Assembly to ensure the quick passage of the National Health Bill. We will take prompt action to reconstitute the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. We will also consider recommendations for the establishment of the Office of Surgeon-General of the Federation."
"I believe that we must always do what is best for our country. We will review all the other issues you have raised and act accordingly. When things are done properly, issues of welfare and remuneration in the health sector will disappear," the President said.
Dr. Enabulele assured President Jonathan of NMA's support for his administration's agenda.
He called for urgent reconstitution of the main regulatory body in the health sector, the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria which was dissolved in 2011.
The NMA President also called for faster action on the passage of the National Health Bill and other issues related to the creation of a more conducive operating environment for doctors and other healthcare professionals such as remuneration, welfare and training.
The President was decorated with the emblem of the NMA by Prof. Umaru Shehu.
The NMA delegation included the Emir of Tsonga, Dr. Haliru Yahaya, the NMA Second Vice-President, Dr. Uche Ojinmah and the NMA Secretary-General, Dr. Akpufuoma Pemu.

Afro-beat Legend, Femi Kuti reportedly involved himself in a near accident on third-mainland bridge Lagos, over a lizard which entered his car.
He is said to have narrated his ordeal when he arrived late to the MUSON Center, where he was a guest artiste at the pre-event press briefing on the coming MUSON anniversary concert

Aviation minister Mrs Stella Oduah thinks that plane mishaps are an act of God. While fielding questions from state house correspondents on the recent Lagos air crash, Mrs Oduah said;
"We do not pray for accidents  but they are inevitable. But we will continue to do everything to ensure that we do not have accidents. But an accident is an act of God".
